Had you ever felt true fear before? The feeling of a bitter cold overtaking your senses? The feeling of clammy, sweaty skin and bitten lips that have been peeled raw to reveal the pink flesh underneath? The fear the makes your hands crawl up your neck and
scratch. The fear that freezes you in your place, not because of fright or flight instinct, but because you know you can't do anything to change your fate. That fear that you could only feel when you're absolutely
certain that your demise may come sooner rather than later.
The answer had been chosen. The verdict was decided. The Delirious Rabbit's clock-hands ticked back and forth, whirling without prompt until it finally settled at 7:36. At the precise moment that it did so, there was a horrifying beep which resounded. It was like the ticking clock to your death; the sounds of impending doom that would befall you all.
Suddenly, despite the expectation of something of the like happening, you all fell victim to a static discharge which rippled from the rabbit's base, crackling as it made its way and danced up from your toes through your spine and cheeks. The distinct smell of burning and smoke was there as the shock-waves continued, never stopping as you all fell over, shaking and spasming uncontrollably as the electricity rolled through your veins. And then it stops.
The lightning stops coursing through the ground. The rabbit stops conducting electricity, playing a symphony of individual screams. The sound of charred flesh could be masked by the salty sea smell. You feel water pooling against your body, slowly making its way up. The ground dividing you and the Delirious Rabbit was destroyed, the marbled floors having been weakened with age and withered to the point where the electricity-generating rabbit could shatter through the panels and invite whatever was underneath.
Your eyes focus and a shadow rises from above the ground. A sea dragon, a leviathan, a creature beyond imagination had risen above the rising sea level. If one paid close attention to the rabbit, they'd notice that it had unscrewed itself from the ground, floating with a golden key behind the behemoth which confronted the team...
