Nalla's focus had been lost within her own palms. This was a new kind of power that she harnessed. Something that she had never expected to wield, stemming from an undiscovered quadrant of her thoughts. But there was something unmistakably satisfying about it. The alluring and enticing gratification of cause and effect pumped through her veins, in the same respect that occurs within an infantile child while they run from their parents in play. I was... Exciting.
She had expected the street around her to be completely void at this point, and allowed this idea to go unconfirmed, not yet noticing the apparently concerned figure who had appeared down the way. Her eyes turned, as though it were the most obvious next order of business, to a tree nearby. She remembered once in the past, the trees of Brisshal had been target practice for her arcanamancy. And, well, it was the dead of night. She smirked, allowing the warning of consequence echo within her mind, before she slammed the door upon such precautions.
Bringing her right hand forward, she slipped one of her talismans from her pocket. Taking the paper into her right hand, she clasped it briefly together between her palms. Closing her eyes, she focused her energies, preparing another evocation. Lines of volatile ember rose around her, swirling into her hands. She was not prepared for the memories that soon spiraled into her consciousness, fogging her mind like a cloud of static around her brain. For a brief moment, her mental state became completely detached from the situation.
She remembered the great fire elemental, Azog. In her memories, she lived out the memories through first person. First the leap, as she, in the body of Eleanor, dove head first into the maw of the beast, her body beginning to burn up as she entered it's form. From the fringes of her shape, the flames consumed her, first converting cloth to ember, then flesh to ash. In moments, there was nothing, and her body had evaporated into the monster's fiery core, but a second later, she saw something. A glimmer from within it. The subtle tick... Tick... Tick...
Boom. From the insides of the dying Azog, an entity emerged with a violent entrance, leaving streaks of fire across the ground around her. Back to reality, she returned, having held above her head and lobbed with both hands a fireball not two feet in diameter towards the tree. The earth and grass beneath her feet sizzled, embers floating from around them into the air. The tree, in one moment existed without care, eternal and natural, was suddenly enveloped in fire, the leaves being the flame's first easy meal.
Then, each incinerating lick reached farther into the web of branches, and to the core. In a matter of seconds, the growth had become an inferno, then a scorched corpse.
"Hahaha!" Nalla could not hide the smile on her face. It had been something she had longed for. She had existed for so long without action, both during her time as her previous identity, and in the real world. The sensation of letting go of that all, of lobbing brilliant, igneous death from her hands... It was certainly a therapeutic power trip, one could say. At the moment, she could care less as the horrified inhabitants of the town shutting their windows, and praying for their lives.
"O-oh..." The smile quickly faded, as she turned to find a witness to her fit of fire. One who had not run from her... But did not appear as though she were a regular part of the village. "Heh..." She nervously chuckled, expecting to be condemned for her mad actions. Certainly, she appeared of the hysterical variety of folk, the explosion from the alley having scorched the left side of her head black, with it's hair blasted backwards, the marks of an apparent and deep burn upon her cheek. She pointed towards the tree, nervously... "Sorry about that."
