_____While gibberish to some the words Celestine spoke not only got Nyx’s attention but caused her rage to once more real up from within the small frame. Here Nyx thought the girl knew nothing about any of the subjects but each word she spoke lead her to not only reconsider her previous assumption but want answers the girl seemed to have. Right hand pulling at her dagger before Nyx spun around quickly and moved to Celestine's right side towards a small gap between buildings. Using everything she had to jump up and attempt to lock her arms around the taller girl’s neck and use her weight to try and pull, rather lean the girl out of view and bring her to the ground. _____If she managed to start the girl into falling Nyx would move carefully, making sure Cel would fall and that Nyx would be set over the girl with dagger dangerously pressing to the felis girl’s neck. Nyx’s eyes glowed red, a slight misuse of illusion magic while the air around her seemed to boil with her rage. While mimicking some got laughs others took it as rude, sadly Nyx was neither. She saw this girl as a threat. ”WHO DO YOU WORK FOR! What trap, and how do you know where five is! Give me one good reason why I should not slit your throat here and now!” _____To try and drive her point home Nyx would try to press the dagger against Celestine’s throat, but anyone could see her hand shaking. Nyx was a poison expert, never personal, always away before death swept in her wake, taking a life with her own hands was never done before. It was that inexperience that left her wide open to easily lose control of the situation if Celestine regained composure, that is if she ever lost it to begin with. @Kanashimi | @Celestine
Celestine just continued her nonsensical blathering on and on. It felt like it would never stop until the small girl suddenly blew a gasket and grabbed her like a kid trying to hop up on her mother’s back. For how short Celestine was, the little Faerin pretty much felt exactly like that: a kid. Something she probably would have fought against without much trouble. But this didn’t even occur to Celly. The little Faerin had basically just given her a snuggly hug! One with a dagger involved, granted, but still! How could she fight something so adorable? And so, she fell. She was hoping for a little cuddle, but instead, her neck was met with the cold pressure of the steel dagger. Well... probably steel. She let her mouth drop open a bit in awe of the little glowy eye trick. That was pretty darn cool looking. Very intimidating. She actually felt a shiver go down her spine, in spite of the knowledge that it was all a game in which she couldn’t technically die. Wow, this girl was really mad looking. A far cry from the usual annoyance she was used to from people she mimicked. Celestine took a moment to calm herself down from the sudden excitement. Rash decisions were always bad news. Granted, they often let to fun shenanigans too, but this was more of a ‘think it through’ kind of scenario. The dagger pinched her neck as she hesitated. “Because you did an ask of the questions,” she finally answered back, struggling to talk over the dagger’s sting. Really, it was a pretty good argument: who in their right mind would ask someone a question, legitimately hoping for an answer, then kill them before they could speak? Quite the fallacy. In that moment, Celly noticed a strange vibration coming from the blade. Her eyes traced it up to the girl’s hand. Was it shaking? Ahah! So she was an innocent person playing an assassin in some sort of murder game then? No wonder. Though maybe there were others who were in on it, considering the explosion earlier. Hm. This was suddenly shaping up to be very interesting, and a little smile crossed Celestine’s face to mirror her excitement. That smile quickly turned into more of a smirk. “Ahah. You got me. I’m terrified. But if you were paying any attention, you’d know that you’ve already been surrounded by my army of ‘hired help,’ for lack of a better term,” Celly boldly proclaimed, hoping to plant ideas in the girl’s head that weren’t true. Power of suggestion and all that. Her accent had all but faded; replaced only with that deadly serious drone that carried no hint of its former friendliness. “Of course, if I was here to kill you, you’d already be dead, so let’s cut to the chase, shall we? You’re what I would call the underdog here. I can see it pretty darn plainly,” she bluffed, motioning to the shaking hand with a tilt of her head. “Meanwhile, as the favorite to win this little game...” Cel started, pressing her hand to her chest and hoping her educated guess was close enough to make sense, “I can’t trust anyone I would consider to be a threat. That makes you the perfect candidate as my ally, no?” She sent the girl another - even more confident - smirk, no trace of fear in her eyes. “Or you could slit my throat and hope you can escape the dozen bowyers I have waiting up on that rooftop. It’s up to you.”
_____Nyx did not like this girl in the slightest, her hand still shaking as she moved the dagger away slowly and moved off the girl growling. Tapping the weapon slowly before quickly sheathing the weapon and giving the girl one more glare before she slowly stepped away and pointed her sleeve to the target and spoke quietly. ”I am no one’s team member, I refuse to help or get help from others. The next time our paths cross I will be sure your death happens!” _____Turning quickly to avoid her flustered expression from being seen before she rushed off into the crowds of people and vanished without another word or sign of her having been there. She not only still had a long way to go, but had to work quietly and try to end this stupid game of delay with the others of the group. It was not going to be enjoyable at all. @Celestine
Celestine kept up her charade for just long enough to make sure the tiny Fae was gone… and immediately erupted into something halfway between a giggle and a chuckle. This continued for almost half a minute before she finally calmed down enough actually form intelligible words. “Girl of smallness actually did a buying of that?” Celestine let loose her astonishment aloud, glanced into the crowd to make sure she wasn’t still close enough to listen in. “I was almost of sureness that that would not do a work.” She shrugged. Her success at random acts like that had pretty much been a perfect zero up to now, so to actually have fooled someone was fantastic! “Well,” Celestine concluded, “I am hoping I do a find of unnamed girl of smallness again some of the times.” She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around herself as if imagining the deadly little cutie snuggled tightly in her arms. “That one is of the good quality huggings. I do it a rate of seven of the tens.” Celestine gave one last glance to the creepy blue-lipped lady who’d remained silent most of the time and pretended to tip a non-existent top hat her way, before blasting up to the rooftops with a gust of air magic. Yep: from this vantage point, she could clearly see that her favorite place had closed from proximity to the fiery explosion. Time to search for another place to eat in Stokbon then, it seemed.
