  1. What's in the Box
"It's finally here! I've waited for SO long for this to show up! Oooooh yeah!" Marcus shouted out with a bit of a cackle at the student post office. Several other students at the college he attended looked at him with judgmental eyes for a moment. Their looks of disgust was clearly evident, seeing each and every one of their faces look straight at him. He didn't really care much for their gazes. One day, he will be their boss, and then he'll have the last laugh.

A loud slap was made on the table where Marcus had casually ripped open the box to display his VR headset. The smell of men's cologne, worn too heavily, wafted into Marcus' nostrils, causing him to turn around and sneeze upon the one that slammed his hand down. He looked upwards, not realizing what he had done only to see one of the bigger, brutish members of his college standing right there.

"Got yourself one of those fancy Virtual Reality headsets huh?" the larger boy said. He was one of those types that had muscles on-top of muscles; the jock variety. Strangely enough, he didn't participate in any actual sports. He lived in the gym lifting weights and was self-absorbed by his looks. "How about you come to the gym instead of playing around with that toy. Maybe then, you'll probably be able to get laid," he said with his entourage of mindless cronies cackling behind him. Marcus let out another sneeze as the cologne was starting to irritate his already agitated sinuses.

"Stop sneezing on me, you fucking loser. I don't want to contract whatever disease you have. I do want to get laid, you know," the bulky monstrosity said with his entourage cackling once again. He reached over and put his hand around the VR headset with Marcus resisting before relenting, letting the brute hold his headset. The brute looked it over for a moment and scoffs. "So, since you can't get laid in the real world, you're going to go and fap to some 3D anime girls? Fucking loser," he said before placing the item on the table. Normally, he'd slam it down to the point of breaking it, but he couldn't risk another suspension.

"Enjoy beating your dick to anime tits," he said as he left with his horde of hyenas cackling as they left. Taking the VR headset in his hands, he held it protectively. "Yeah? Well, enjoy pumping my gas for me, filthy peasant," he said silently to himself. Many people saw this happen and did nothing to stop it. Gathering up all of his belongings, Marcus fled to his dorm room.

After installing the headset, he received a suspicious message on his computer. He opened it up and with an inquisitive look, closed it soon after. He heard about this game from a shady fellow on a forum so he followed everything for it. After performing the basic installs and everything, he placed the headsets on his face and powered up the game. He went through character creation, making his character look like what he'd imagine is a better version of himself. After character creation, he chose a server and logged on.

Marcus, or rather Aloysius, found himself in a new world. A world covered in trees as far as the eye could see. Aloysius looked down at his hands for a moment, moving them around to see his palms and the back of his hand. He looked on in awe before moving his left hand to pick up his shirt and see a slimmer person there. His heart began to race and he unzipped his pants and looked inside and quickly zipped up and fist-pumped the air. "That's amazing! Everything I made fit to a 'T'. Even 'down there' is different from IRL," he said before reaching up to his voice box, his voice had also changed. Everything about this world was already ten times better than the real world. His only problem now was that he was stuck in a tree -- a very tall tree.

After he was done marveling at the immersion of the world, the heads up display started to show. "Health, Energy, Water, Food, Rest, and Temperature. That's a little excessive for an MMO, ain't it? Guess I'll have to pack some other necessities other than potions in this game," there was a beeping coming from his left hand. He balled his hand into a tight fist and a massive menu popped up with all of the information he'd ever need. He clicked on the Quest tab and a quest appeared stating <Get to the Capital>. After a little grumble, Aloysius flipped over to investigation mode and things started to change with obvious investigation points. He looked down the massive tree he was on and saw a 'point of interest'. He clicked that point of interest and his body started to climb down the massive tree by itself. In the top right of his HUD, he noticed the word 'Assist' pulsating.

After climbing down the tree, Aloysius closed the menu and then reached over to his side to look for his weapon. "Mreehh. Tiger Fang isn't here. Guess I need to buy a weapon and call it that," he said before looking around, noticing there was nothing but forests as far as the eye can see. Everything looked so real and even the breeze blowing through the forest felt so real. The question is, where is Aloysius supposed to go now? He looked around in confusion -- hoping someone who knows what's going on could meet up with him to help.

  2. A quick meetup

She had been somewhat looking forward to trying out this game that some of her friends had suggested to her, though the lack of owning a VR headset was the second main thing that had prevented her from really doing much in terms of trying it out sooner. It had taken her a bit but this was the day that she had saved up enough money to get one, after having to do other adult-like things with said money.

As she had walked to the store, bought herself a VR headset, and returned home as quickly as she could. Sadly, her quickest wasn't very fast due to her leg injury from a couple years ago. As she made her way home, she could feel a gaze here and there as she made her trek home, not much paying them much mind, though it would take a moment for her to hear one of her friends voices. it was the first one that had brought up the game to her in the first place. "Finally got yourself one? That's great!" The friend had said without really giving Hoshi much time to respond. "Y-Yeah, I just got it, I was about to head home and give it a test run." She'd state, with the friends eyes showing excitement for her, she presumed.

"I'm sure you'll enjoy it for sure." The friend would say before handing Hoshi a USB with everything she needed for the game and the client. "Thanks." Hoshi would say before hugging the friend and leaving the friend to head home with the VR headset and the USB with the stuff for the game her friends had spoken about.

Upon reaching her house, Hoshi would take her shoes soon after entering before heading to her kitchen to grab a snack while she did the setup for the VR headset and would setup the game from the USB. Luckily she had enough time to finish her snack before the setup and everything had finished. Slipping the headset on, she would go through the character creation, taking a couple moments. She'd then choose a server and log on.

Hoshi had chosen the name Maebara for her characters name. He had found himself in a brand new world. He'd examine the body of the character that he had just made for quite a few moments and eventually notice that he was on a coast of sorts. He'd take a deep breath and exhale slowly to look around, and noticing there was a bit of a hud. She saw at least five different indicators, not counting the one for health. "I guess this is a serious game if there's this much to pay attention to..." He'd say to himself as he walked towards the forest because what could go wrong by walking into a forest?

It had taken him a moment before he hadn't tried looking for options. Taking some of his attention, he'd open up the menu by clenching his palm and opening it. Going through a couple settings, she'd notice that an 'Assist' that had been pulsating on one of the corners of her vision, turning to a light 'Free' and being somewhat less pronounced causing him to forget about it for a moment. Another setting he had changed as he walked deeper into the forest would be an option between 'Simulated' and 'Realistic'. He chose Realistic but had neglected to read the proper explanation.

After messing with a couple settings, he would find where the objectives would be and before really being able to read it, he'd accidentally bump into what he thought was a tree but would notice it was another person. "My bad." he'd say, closing his menu and looking at the guy. This would certainly be a trip. At least his pompadour wasn't messed with, considering the guy was shorter than him and there weren't really any branches that he walked through.

  3. You INTERRUPTED My Mining Expedition

That's cool, someone bumped into him. Aloysius was in the middle of digging for gold when a much larger man with an over-the-top hairdo appeared before him. He paused and looked at the larger man, finger still up his nose for a moment. He lowered his hand down to his side after wiping his finger upon the generic, starter pants. He looked the guy up and down for a brief moment before rolling his shoulders back, taking a deep breath in to puff out his chest, trying to emulate the ridiculous proportions of the guy that stood in front of him. The name-plate over his head showed that this guy was a player and not an NPC.

"Uh? Oh, right. Yeah," Aloysius said before tilting his head at the guy. "Oh! You don't happen to know a way towards the Capital do you?! I was stupid and said that I knew how to get the capital in my bio but now look at me," Aloysius, or rather Marcus said in Aloysius' voice. His hunger bar and thirst bar started to tick down slowly. "Well, at least that is my first mission. I don't know if you got the same mission. Kind of a stupid place to spawn us, don't you think?" Aloysius said, being a bit too chatty, having lost focus on the fact that he's lost.

"Oh, right. You want to form a party so we can get credit together when we find our way out of this place?" Aloysius balled his hand into a tight fist and then opened it up to browse through the menu. He looked at the Pompadour for a brief moment and slide over an Party Invite towards Hoshi. "Who knows, maybe we'll find ourselves some nice fat loot. Don't worry, I'll set the looting to 'Group'," he said as he noticed the Master Looter option. He looked around for a brief moment and clicked it afterward, hoping Hoshi wouldn't notice it. If he did, he could easily claim ignorance and fix it to Leader.

  4. A new era

Grey skies over the southern state he lived in had began to cover the sun, leaving a dull atmosphere as the young man had finished work for the day and began to head home. A couple of air conditioning units fixed, a couple faulty compressors noted and a broken fan of a very angry store manager. The fact he felt no more accomplished than had he stayed in bed all day was concerning.

”The weather has really been kicking people’s asses with their air con,” the man muttered to himself, shutting the back door to his small van, and climbing in to drive off home. Usually he would stop by Lily’s every once in a while after work to make sure she wasn’t getting into any trouble. But this time he had decided that this would be the day he would finally try out the new game everyone was talking about in hushed voices. Legality didn’t seem to matter much in the end. People still did drugs, and other illicit jobs

As he got home he would send a text to Lily. Hopefully she’d understand that he was just tired tonight and needed some rest. A half-truth in his wording, but the rest would instead be his first time logging into the virtual headset he had acquired a few days ago. The nerves had gotten the best of him since then, but logically he wasn’t going to get caught? Him? Caught? No… really? No…

”Well… here goes nothing,” Cody would say to himself while taking the system and plugging it into the wall. The headset would spring to life, and activity surged through all the wires and gadgets on it. It took the man by surprise as he nearly dropped it, before catching himself and it in haste. He figured the jitters were still there… it was like any other video game he grew up with, right? Early virtual reality helmets of the 2010’s weren’t this scary, so why was this any different?

He would plug in the installation software, and waited for it to be downloaded onto the system. His impatience would show as he began to tap his foot on the floor and look at the clock. It was already starting to get later than he possibly wanted to, and he figured that it wouldn’t take too long to download something in the 2020’s but here we were.

It would be another five minutes before the device began to register itself as complete. His heart skipped a beat as he saw it was ready. Knowing that it was now or never, the mechanic would place the vr headset on, choose a character and server… and begin to play.

Ezekiel’s closed eyes would open up to see the world around him was no longer his bedroom, but a lush forest full of textures and sounds that were nothing like the hustle and bustle of his life. Instead it was all so… real. Like… really real. Besides the fact that when he looked down to his hand he could see a gui displaying some features.

”Health… energy…water…food… rest… temperature? What kind of game keeps tabs on your hand?”

The concern could be felt in his stomach, but was quick subdued by the wonder around him. In fact, it was so wondrous that he had not realised he had already been walking as he was looking through his hand gui. Everything looked so lush and magical, despite the fact he could already feel a little tired from just moving. Was the world forcing his body to adapt to the feelings he could feel?

He also noticed he had no gear, no weapons. Just some things to maybe make some machinery, and some notes informing him of what masteries he took. At least with the hunting mastery he could possibly see if anyone else was around by following some footprints on the floor. But since he didn’t quite know how to use Investigation Mode, he would just walk around and hope he would spot people… because finding people in the middle of a forest was definitely a good idea.

Minutes of walking around and looking would eventually lead Ezekiel to some sounds in the distance… talking? Is that what the hunting mastery was helping with? Hopefully they were friendly. Dying on your first day would really sour the mood. But it was worth a shot after all.

Upon arrival he would see a taller man, and a slightly shorter man talking in the distance. They didn’t seem harmless, and in fact they looked just as useless as he was! Probably worth the trek to check them.

”Yo!” he called out, not realising that loud noises could potentially cause unwanted attention. He would move closer, before making a waving motion to the two. ”Either of you know where the nearest town is? This forest seems to stretch on and on…”

He looked at the two, both dramatically different in looks. He didn’t even realise there was a ‘getsuperbuffquick’ option when it came to choosing your character. Looks like he was going to be missing out on some strength checks along the way…

  5. {LOGGED OUT} My Best Friend
A woman was laid out in her humble abode, her one story home struggling to keep her cool on her day off. The summer breeze drifted slowly outside, gracing the world with its dwindling presence in the afternoon of a scorching day. Any creature, big or small, kept near the shade where they could and always valued a drink of water. It was a welcoming feeling to have the small gust of wind brush against the skin when one was outside. But, the heat that came along with it soon afterwards, was not welcome in the slightest. It was in this blistering season that the folks of the south tended to stay inside their homes, or venture out into areas that were either water parks or swimming pools. A groan escaped pink lips as she tried to enjoy the air conditioning constantly blowing at her body, but the hotter seasons were always difficult. Even as someone who's lived in the south her whole life, it never got any easier.

    No, not for Lily.

The woman wondered how Cody put up with it. It was especially in this season that the man would receive the most calls on systems like the air conditioning. It was as if that was the difference between life and death when it stopped working, and a big part of Lily understood why. One thing she didn't like, however, was when people became unnecessarily bitter and rude about wanting their things fixed. She knew that people could be a brutal factor in Cody's route as an engineer, but she never stopped getting angry for him on his behalf in regards to how they treated him. That man was her best friend - one that she was always going to stand by through and through. The fact that he was willing to drive around in this heat, put up with the people, and still come by to see her meant that he was a hero in her eyes.

As her mind became fixated on her friend, Lily's phone buzzed in the back pocket of her shorts. With a squeak of surprise, the woman's body jolted as her brown hair jerked up. It wasn't until her head slid along her rear to retrieve the phone from her back pocket that she sighed in both embarrassment and relief. For a while, the brunette had forgotten her phone was back there. With a lazy tilt of her head, she pressed the power button to view the screen of her phone. She then felt her eyes brighten slightly at Cody's name, smiling as she entered the passcode of her phone to read the text she got from him fully.

However, that feeling of happiness was soon filled with disappointment.

With a childish pout taking over her pale features, Lily read the message that Cody wouldn't be coming by today after work. He was tired and needed some rest and she couldn't argue with him. There was a moment where she thought to visit him herself but decided against, knowing that she'll just have him make up for the missed day on one of his days off. It was when she turned off her phone that she sulked, puppy dog eyes prominent on her features before her doorbell rang.

"Delivery for... a Ms. Lily Price!"

And any disappointment she felt in that moment was thrown out the window.

The brunette rolled off the couch and ran to the door, not caring if she was looking the least bit indecent. She opened it to find the delivery man standing there with a shocked look on his face before quickly recovering with a smile. "Are you Ms. Price?", he inquired with a brown box held in his grasp. "Yes, yes!" She was nearly bouncing up and down, not even noticing the slight blush on the delivery man's face as he noticed her tank top. It was one that covered her features fully, but Lily had no idea he was staring at an area that most women had - if not all. "H-Here.", he stammered with a slight blush dusting his face, and the woman took it with a giggle of pure happiness. She knew exactly what this package was and it was without hesitation that she wanted to open it. Looking up at the delivery man with her gleaming, heterochromia eyes, she had given him a tip of ten dollars before closing her door. "Thank you!", she hollered before running into her room.

It was finally here! It was finally time! The nerd in her was just dying inside!

Lily squealed in happiness as she placed the box down on her bed, quickly prying the lid open to see the new VR headset she had purchased just for this game alone. "Terrasphere, here I come!", she chimed before plugging the software into the nearby wall, humming a favorite tune of hers while secondly installing the program for the game into the headset. This helped pass the time while waiting for the program to install, jumping up when she heard the musical notification that signified that it was ready. With a smile, Lily had carefully placed the headset on, adjusted it accordingly, and started up the game she's been waiting for. She would choose a character she felt represented a part of her best, go through the stats and options carefully and patiently, before choosing her desired server...

    And logging in.

    {LOGGED IN} My Hero
    Elely...

A Yladian who represented her in a whole new world.

Slowly the persona had opened her eyes, seeing nothing but puffs of white and the color blue. It was within her regaining senses that the sound of rushing wind began to overpower her eardrums and the elf blinked in utter confusion. Green hair wrapped up in a ribbon was swishing behind in its ponytail, her cape and lengthy parts of her garments cascading with the gusts of wind. Was this how all other users started when they logged in? A feeling of floating or flying through a blue, misty realm? It was taking Elely a long while to realize that the feeling of floating was far from what she was currently experiencing. It took the creature a moment to look down to see what she was experiencing, curious to take in the empty space around her with a childlike expression, before it turned to one of utter horror. "EH?!" She screamed and began to panic, her heart nearly stopping as the realization hit her like a train.

    She. Was. Falling!

    "Ahhhhh! No, no, no!"

Elely flapped her arms as she was diving through the realm's sky, trying to get her bearings through the fast pacing of everything. She had to take a moment to calm down, to asses the situation, and to think up of a plan... She had spawned, she opened her eyes, and she was falling... As Elely tried to take in steady breaths - instead becoming more panicked - she figured that this was a glitch or just a randomized point in spawning. And she just happened to get that randomized point. The Yladian desperately looked at the world inching closer to her as she fell towards it, seeing nothing but greenery and a few select open spaces. She was praying that somehow, someway, she could get out of this situation.

It wasn't until she was getting dangerously closer to the ground that she spotted a group of people just below her. At least, she assumed it was people. Anything was still looking like an ant at this point in the perception of her green orbs but Elely had to take the risk. She hoped it was anything that breathed that could try to catch her at this point, and she didn't care of she was going to be called a damsel in distress later. She was a damsel, she was in distress, and she needed help. With a sharp intake of breath, ignoring the pain of the wind pushing against her body, Elely let out a yelp as she called out to the group below.

    "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp! Someone, catch meeeeeeeeeee!"

She prayed someone would save her.

  6. Interesting...
After he had bumped into the man he had accidentally walked into, he'd notice that the man had been picking his nose. A brief glimpse of disgust showed on his face before he shook his head and regained him composure as he'd see the man puffing his chest out. A few seconds after the display, he would hear the man starting to speak. "I don't know where the capital is, no. I just started myself, and I'd presume you did too." He'd say, nodding before looking around and paying attention at this point. He'd listen to the man as he spoke up again, asking if he wanted to form a party with the man. "Yeah, a party sounds good right off the bat." He'd say, as he received the invite in which he'd accept after balling one of his hands into a fist and opening it to enter the menu.

"Yeah, don't forget to set it properly." He'd say as he'd continue to examine the area, not knowing if the man had set it to where they'd get the loot evenly or not. He was hopeful that the guy wouldn't screw him over already but at this point it was where time would tell. Though it wasn't long before another voice popped up not too terribly farm from them. He'd look over in the direction to see someone walking over to them and ask if either of them knew where the nearest town was, and that the forest seemed to stretch on. "I haven't the slightest clue, I just started a few moment ago. And I spawned on a coastline not that farm from here." He'd say, pointing in the direction that he had walked from. He'd raise one hand to double check to make sure his pompadour was fine when he had put too much focus on his menu when he was walking and walked into the first man.

After a moment, he'd speak up to the man who had just arrived. "If you want, we just started a party if you want to join up and--" He'd say as a loud shout cut through the general silence that was the forest. Looking up as said scream had originated, he'd see someone falling. Moving as quickly as he could, he'd push Aloysius out of the way so that he didn't get hurt with the person who was falling. He was in a rush to try and catch the person that he didn't even know if it was a man or a woman. It didn't really matter either way to him.

The moment the person had been caught, he could feel the force transfer into him and took him a moment to recover from catching the girl and set her down on her feet. "It's nice to have another person... drop in." He'd say, before smirking and crossing his arms. "Before anything more happens, I'm Maebara."

  7. The large muscle-headed pompadour spoke out. He quickly removed his finger from his nose and nodded his head. "Yeah, just started. Why don't we get any weapons or skills like other MMOs? And where is the tutorial? Mreh!" Aloysius said in utter confusion and frustration. As Aloysius received notification of the meat-head's acceptance of the invite, he grumbled at his 'assurance' to set the party loot properly. He was tempted to set it to where he got all of the loot, but decided against it. No need to piss off potential questing partners.

His attention was pulled away from another voice. He turned his head to look towards the rather plain-looking guy that approached the silver-haired elite (well, at least in his own biased opinion) and the muscular, walking pompadour before him. A question popped up about where the nearest town was. Grumbling to himself, Aloysius opened up his palm-menu once again and tabbed over to the map and grumbles. "Uh, I don't know. But it does show me that the capital is..." he said, holding out the word 'is'. He turned in the direction of the marker and pointed in that direction. While going to the capital was eventually his end-goal, finding an actual town to stock up on supplies and even getting a weapon would be nice.

Smaller scale spells SHOULD be enough to ravage these beginner level monsters, but then again, most MMOs start you off with a weapon. This game thought it would be cool to not start you off with at least the basic gear, which Marcus, the player, found extremely peculiar. It was then that a shriek could be heard. Aloysius looked around, seeing nothing before a large hand was placed on his chest, pushing him to the side. The walking-meat-tank ran somewhere, looking upwards.

~Thank you, God. You made my dreams come true. You're making beautiful women fall from the sky! Thank you, Dear Sweet God T-T~ Marcus, the player thought to himself. Aloysius scrambled to push the meat-tank out of the way, but didn't get to the drop-zone in time and slid on his face across the ground, failing miserably. "Ow," he said with his words being muffled by the ground. Afterward, he'd stand up, wiping away all of the dirt and grime from his face and clothing.

He turned to look towards Maebara, the beef-cake, catch the lithe and beautifully busty girl in his arms. His thirst bar quickly dropped to dangerous levels and his heat-indicator started to raise. This caused Aloysius to swipe his hand across to open his spell menu and click "Fountain Spell". With the selection of the spell, water shot out of his fingertips and barely missing his mouth. After getting alerted several times that his thirst was low, he corrected his aim and started to drink the water with the meter slowly rising until it returned to normal levels -- also affecting the temperature levels; returning back to normal.

"H-h-h-Hi!" Aloysius said as his eyes were plastered to her chest. He shook his head to regain his senses and waved Ezekiel over. Returning his access to the menu, he shot the two new-comers and invite to the party.

  8. At least the greeting he received wasn’t hostile. Would have been really sucky for him to have died on his first time exploring this game. The man with the pompadour hairstyle seemed very out of place for a game that seemed to be full of fantasy and medieval style, but if the developers seem to allow that style then so be it. The other man seemed to be full of stress, already having a full set of white hair at the age of what appeared to be in his mid twenties.

Poor guy, the new tinkerer thought to himself as he looked at the two who were just as clueless as where he was. They must be new players too. I mean an experienced player wouldn’t be standing around in the middle of the forest all by themselves. Whatever lurked in the forest was probably resilient to unarmed punching, and much better at fighting than any of these three were.

”Well the capital is probably the best bet. I think I have the same quest somewhere… I just gotta… is.”
His lack of aptitude in video gameswas showing as he began to flick through the GUI to find his list of quests. A simple enough job right?

”Ahah! Yes of course. Doesn’t seem that far away compared to anywhere else in this place.”
Made sense right? Everything was just far away and they needed to get going towards the capital before nightfall. ”Might be best to get going before we have to walk a forest in the dark”

It was at that time a quiet scream could be heard, getting louder while the man looked left and right to try and find the source. It was odd that it was nowhere to be found, despite being in sort of a clearing. He could not see where this sound was coming from until he heard the words.

    Someone catch me.

He looked up, just like the others did who began to scramble to catch her. Ezekiel was a little bit further away than the other two, paralyzed in both surprise and fear of what seemed to be… a girl falling? How did she even get into the sky in the first place?!

He would try and catch up to the men, the white haired man now on the ground while the muscular man played hero and saved the… woman with the pointy ears and green hair? Devs sure had a funny way of allowing people to create things in this game.

”Hey good job!” he called out to Maebara, giving a thumbs up as he got closer to get a better look at the group. He would look at the new person who joined, and as cute as she seemed it was perculiar how she ended up here.”Are you alright, miss? How did you end up in the sky in the first place?”

At that point an invite would be sent to his hand GUI, to which he would accept and see that he was now in a party. Much like the parties of the real world it was full of awkward people, and a distinct lack of refreshments provided by anybody. From what he could tell from the menus and information was that he would need to get food, water and sleep at some point.

”I’m Ezekiel by the way, Ezekiel Cartwright.” The name sounded cool and Tinkering-ish enough. He hadn’t heard much about the technology in this game but the mastery made him at least think there was some kind of basic mechanical tech. He wanted to match that idea, but it seemed that a lot of others were more creative than him… Like having silver hair, or a pompadour… or green hair, pointed ears, and appearing in the sky itself.

”Maybe the forest has been a little too much fun for just starting. Maybe we could try and find civilisation together?”

  9. The Damsel
Elely had closed her eyes as she prayed the group heard her, now preparing for any form of impact. The player behind her was hoping sincerely that any of them would save her. Despite it being so utterly embarrassing that not even 10 minutes in the game had passed for her, and already she was playing the role of a damsel in distress, at least she could redeem herself in given time to whoever this mysterious group below her was. With a loud grunt escaping her lips as she felt a rather soft impact, it took the elf a few moments of regaining her sensory input before opening her eyes. She didn't land on the ground...

Someone did catch her after all.

With a gleam in her green eyes and a sigh of relief escape her lips, she felt herself be put down with care before taking a moment to regain her balance. This was the first few moments where her character was feeling anything besides the wind, so for a fair minute she was a bit clumsy until balance was now a natural aspect. The Yladian then looked up at the man that had caught her, taking a moment to listen to his rather ironic pun and introduction of his name before releasing a giggle. It was in this that her attention drifted to a brown haired male a bit taller than her as well, her eyes fluttering as she took him in with curiosity. It was with his question that she goofily giggled, rubbing the back of her neck. "Yes, I'm alright, sir! I apologize for that. I don't know what happened! I just started up the game and spawned in the sky! It was the strangest thing.", she began before gasping and bowing her head to Maebara, almost forgetting her manners to the blond and pompadour-haired man. "Oh dear, I almost forgot! Th-Thank you so much for catching me, Maebara.", she spoke softly with a slight blush of embarrassment. It was within that same moment that she then heard the spurting of water, her attention now diverting to a silver haired male exactly her height.

Her head turned quickly over to him with curiosity twinkling in her eyes, observing him try to aim the water into his mouth in a hurry. It was in this that Elely began to worry, a hand stretching out to him with a soft sound escaping her lips. "S-Sir, are you alright?", she inquired before he greeted her in a stammer. It was in this the maiden sighed in relief after he finished his actions, her arm returning to her side with a gentle smile. "Hello there. What's your name?", she asked softly while unaware of where his eyes were glued. Elely was rather oblivious, after all. And she was still trying to get her bearings. It was before the man could answer her that her GUI flickered open, an invite sent to her from the silver haired male before her. With a quick glance to him, curious if he was certain, it took her a moment before accepting his invite with a hum.

At least this was a good start to the game. She wasn't all by herself and she managed to find a pretty nice group so far. At least, they look and acted nice so far. As she took a quick glance at her status and general needs, Elely closed her GUI before turning to the brown haired male from earlier with a soft smile and tilt of her head. As he introduced himself now, the maiden made a sound at his name before sharing a thought with him. "Ah, what a cool sounding name!", before adding on an inquiry to his next question. "And now that we're all a group, I don't see why not. I think it'd be safer for everyone here if we all stick together rather than toughing it out all on our lonesomes!" Turning to the silver haired male, she gave him a smile that showed her teeth with her eyes being closed. "Don't you think, sir?" It was then her eyes opened as her lips closed, turning to gesture to everyone with her head and a simple bow while sharing her name.

"As for my name, I am simply Elely. It's very nice to meet you all! I hope that we can all be friends starting now in the beginning of this MMO!"

  10. It's a party now
Now that there were four of them here, it seemed to be quite the party already. The white haired man seemed to be quite enamored by the girl who had fallen from the sky. The first one that would really speak up would be the brown haired main, talking to the white haired guy about the capital and mentioning that it might be best to get going before it got dark. Nodding slightly, he'd hear that the brown haired man would introduce himself as Ezekiel Cartwright. Soon the green haired girl had also started speaking up. Eventually introducing herself as Elely. "Yeah, being friends is always a good thing" He'd say. "It's nice to meet you both, Ezekiel and Elely. And the only one to introduce themselves is our white haired friend here." He'd say, motioning to the white haired guy before taking a moment to check out the current group, examining them up and down though it wasn't too terribly awkward for him considering the player.

"I'm up for heading towards the capital before it gets dark, what about everyone else?" He'd ask, looking at everyone else.

  11. It was then that the beautiful Yladian maiden asked for his name. His heart started to race again and he swallowed hard. The silver haired man looked around for a moment, hesitating to answer her question before puffing out his chest and gave a big thumbs up. His teeth were clearly shown with a strange salesman-like charm. "Call me Aloysius, my delicious Yladian babe!" he said, introducing himself. The urge to ask her to touch her breasts remained within his mind as he didn't want to get banned right away for sexual harassment. But damnit, did they look nice! His eyes started to go from her pretty face down to her plentiful chest. He quickly realized what he was doing and shot his eyes back up to her face and gave her a goofy, stupid smile.

Aloysius was quickly brought back to reality by the more down-to-earth character going by the name Ezekiel. Ezekiel? Is this person an old man or something? Aloysius turned to look at the guy and nodded his head as his heartbeat started to level out once more. "Well, we didn't get any weapons, which is a bit strange, so we'll have to stick together and head to the capital," he said, piggy-backing on what Ezekiel said. What he said did make sense. Using this, Aloysius opened up his GUI and switched the party leader to Ezekiel since he seemed to be a LOT more level-headed than the rest. He'd have granted the ever-illustrious and sexilicious Elely as party leader, but that would take away from his ability to ogle her in secret. Granted, she probably had a fine back-side but he wasn't intending to figure that out this instant.

Elely spoke. Oh, she had the voice of an angel. Aloysius would follow that voice to the depths of hell. What made this situation worse was her moe expression, causing Aloysius' heartrate to rise once again before an AFK symbol appeared over his head for a brief moment. After the brief moment, his character returned to it's usual idle animation. His face turned a bright red before nodding ferociously at her question. "Yes! Definitely yes!" And then she made the proclamation of wanting to be friends. This caused the player's, Marcus's, face to twitch a little under the VR headset. The AFK symbol appeared over Aloysius' head once more as the player removed the headset and shouted out, "Be my friend with benefits!" he shouted out before a banging could be heard on the wall of his dorm room. "Shut the fuck up, you loser!" Grumbling, Marcus returned to the game after putting the headset back on and the AFK tag over Aloysius' head vanished. Thankfully, that couldn't have been heard in-game.

He peeled his eyes away from Elely's heavenly form and turned to look towards Ezekiel. "Lead the way!"

  12. She just… spawned there? Was this game trying to kill people in their starting spots? Beaches and forests sure, but the sky? Just seemed a little bit too weird for him to really comprehend. Instead he would just put a hand behind his head and scratch his head. A little puzzled by how it happened, and a little fear struck in him that he could just suddenly log back in… and he would be falling.

On the other hand he just watched the other two men interact with the new girl. Maebara seemed to be pretty relaxed about all of this, almost cool as a cucumber. Alousius, however… His reactions to her went from his sort of nonchalant attitude to melting to her words, and then trying his best to act cool around her. The nausea could be felt from the worlds 'Yladian babe.'

So that’s what she is? I thought she was just playing around with the ear features of the system, he thought to himself as he watched is actions and her reactions that would ensue afterwards.

”Yeah no weapons is going to make it difficu-“
his words were interrupted by the beeps on his GUI to see that he was suddenly made leader. ”W-wait I don’t think I’m the right person for lead.” His words would turn to a mutter. ”I don’t even know which way the capital even is…”

It seemed that it didn’t matter at all, as Aloysius would switch between being there and away from his game and back again. It was a little odd, but it looked like he couldn’t really argue against it.

”Well I guess we will start walking towards the capital then, but you’re going to have to help me guide the way, Aloysius,” he said, trying to hide the fact he was very new at this game. His darker eyes looked over the perverted old man, before looking down at his GUI hand. Something on here should be the right marker to find the city.

He would started walking in the direction he thought the city was, trying to use whatever this new system was to find the capital. Maybe Aloysius could actually be of some help and show him.

  13. Gwarsh...
The player behind Elely could barely contain herself. A group of people that seemed so nice, so patient, kind, and sweet... It was a very nice change of pace compared to a version of what could consider to be a usual treatment she received in other games; one not uncommon but not too common either. Ranging from MMO's to games on any console, the woman in the world of reality experienced very familiar treatments in regards to the first moments of them discovering she was a woman. The way this first meeting was progressing forward, let's just say this was one of the more tamer versions of her experiences in beginning a video game. It was as Maebara's voice reached through the headset of the woman in reality that her attention shifted back to the game, falling back into the role of Elely with a bit of ease thanks to the moment of quiet she was receiving.

Maebara's suggestion was a sound one, as daylight was breaking into sundown. It would be best if they all began to make way to the capital before nightfall. Otherwise, without any weapons to fend for themselves or so much as a single experience point to boot, things would get a bit dicey in regards to looking after themselves if they were to come across any unfortunate situations. However, Elely had a feeling that all things would work out in the end. After all, the start of a game couldn't be too bad. In the experiences of the person behind her, the beginning of a game would more often than not make every single thing you experience seem like nothing compared to the late game ventures. But that's what made games like MMO's or story based games one of the more richer experiences.

There was always something much bigger around the corner.

As the white haired male spoke up, Elely's gaze shifted to him with a gentle smile lining her lips subtly. Currently, she was in a state of gauging what each individual currently in the group behaved like. It was always interesting to learn new things about the people she was just meeting, and these people (albeit she knew nothing about their real selves), were no different. However, when Aloysius introduced himself while addressing her as 'delicious' and a 'babe', both Elely's and her player's faces turned red in sync. Her train of thought froze, coming to a screeching halt as the conversation shifted its attention from her to the matter of getting to the capital. At least in her momentary state of shock and - what seemed to be - shyness that such an important matter was being addressed.

Nevertheless, the woman was looking down shyly while fidgeting with the hem of her red gloves. She pulled at them to make sure they stayed on as she soon spoke up again to Aloysius. "A-Alright then, Aloysius. It's very nice to meet you.", she shared with the same red blush dusting her cheeks before looking towards Ezekiel. She just wanted to distract herself from the notion that she was called such bold things by Aloysius. She wasn't quite sure how to handle such words. However, when the brunette of the group brought up how they would begin their trek to the capital, the Yladian sighed out in relief before beginning to walk closely behind the new leader of the group for a sense of comfort.

They were finally beginning to make some progress within the game itself, but Elely had to calm herself after Aloysius' flirtatious introduction. She didn't want to be rude to him, however, and quickly looked behind her to check on how the two men were doing before looking back to her front. She was near Ezekiel's side as she had her arms placed politely in front of her body, sticking now to the more quiet side of her personality. She wasn't really sure what to say in this moment or where to even begin. But she whispered one thing softly to herself, reassuring the rather flustered state of her mentality as she simply followed Ezekiel around. She couldn't be of much help...

She didn't know how she could be...

    "C-Calm yourself, Elely... You're fine..."
