When the world went to hell, Emerath had found himself frozen in place. It had been far too much to watch the creature come from the abyss to assault them. Despite his successes, and despite his desire to continue to succeed, he had simply been frozen. Emerath was a man of science, and while he tried not to let things in Terrasphere surprise him, this had. He never was any good with eldritch horrors and old gods, and just... things reality as they knew it couldn't comprehend.

So when the door opened, Emerath was the first one out. He hadn't bothered to help anyone but himself, scared as he was. This was supposed to be a simple task, raiding bandits and rooting out evil. But he didn't comprehend the evils that could lie in this world. The true underbelly that could be in a game like Terrasphere. He didn't comprehend just how scared he could be of a video game.

Trying his best to drown out the memories of the screams, the chanting, and the eldritch monstrosity that had assaulted them and stolen so many lives, one of which had been the fiery redhead that seemed to come right out of a shonen manga, he sat on the edge of the healing springs.

He had only taken off his boots and dipped his feet in, not really caring to take off anymore clothing in case something jumped at them. He still enjoyed the warmth through his toes, and while doing so pulled out his lute to try to lose himself in music. But no matter what he did, his music just sounded sad. Sad for their losses, sad for what they still had left to face. Sad for his own fears, and for his own inability to act. He only hoped he could find more courage next time. The courage that Seigi had shown.

As he played, slow tears rolled down the man's face. He hoped that Seigi was okay, despite that he hardly knew her. He hoped that damn eldritch horror didn't stop the rules of the game from working. That he'd see her in the next event, just as courageous. That hope that her courage could teach him a thing or two about his own.

    ((OOC: Emerath's music))

Leaving Seigi, hearing the splashing of water behind her, barely escaping death; Comet rubbed her tired eyes that were forced to watch sanity slip from the young girl. She kept her legs moving as not to bother anyone, but her entire body was in dire need of a break. A resting point had been established though sitting down - even if just for a second - made the pink-haired woman feel useless. What she'd been wishing for became too stressful to bear after failing to save the daring teammate. Such a need carried Comet to their current leader. All of those left behind had her wondering what was going to happen to them, and with a turn of the head she sighed. Finding out most likely wouldn't be a pleasant answer if given. But did the Felis in charge even know herself? Things were confusing considering the situation. There'd be no blame to lay if Seigi's fate remained unknown for the time being. After all, they were warned not to look no matter what. Accidents happen.

First, however, Comet grabbed @Magdalyn by the arm to say, "I'm gonna go ask if Caccu is alright and if she needs me to help out. You should get some rest. If you say no I swear I'll protest," the faint smile felt genuine around Mags. She wanted the best for her friend. A true friend. Though immediate reassurance wouldn't come to the anxiety-ridden player she still felt slightly better whenever among familiar faces. After listening to whatever reply came - and bidding farewell with a small wave - she decided it'd be best to get closer to their leader in order to speak to her, face to face.

"I can help you look around a bit, Caccu (@Zero), if you want to get some rest. I'm-I don't feel all that tired right now anyways," she shrugged, standing straight out of respect but unable to tame the twitching of her arms and legs that needed to be occupied with a task. If not, she'd return to Mags and try to feel better. Maybe make small talk to ignore what went on back there. But for now the Archer planned to assist Caccu with exploration if need be. "Exploring is something I enjoy, really, so it wouldn't bother me at all." Comet attempted to lighten her tone and formed something of a smile to express her readiness to the Felis.

One might assume that the slow burn of adrenaline might lead to an equally slow, creeping exhaustion. On the contrary, Magdalyn slipped from one extreme to the other in near record time. The events of the previous hour, and the disappearance of the girl name Seigi, had sent Magdalyn into near hysterics. Her heart had pumped blood through her veins with the speed and force of a rushing river, and her hands had trembled as she had worked to carry crowns.

Now, as something akin to calm fell over the camp, there was no leisurely descent into fatigue. Rather, the spear-wielder felt as if she had been struck by a train. When @Comet grabbed her arm, and ordered her to get some rest, Magdalyn nearly agreed. She did not wish to upset her friend, and besides, sleep seemed like a really, really, really good idea.

But there was something Mags had to do first. "I promise, I'll rest," she assured her friend before Comet slipped away. "In a minute, though." As Comet approached Caccu, Mags sought out someone else.

The white-haired woman was easy enough to spot, as she was shouting about hot tubs. Mags had intended to thank the stranger for using a precious healing spell on her, but the other player seemed to be, for the moment, otherwise occupied. I'll come back later, Magdalyn decided, making a mental note to find @Temperance in a few minutes.

As she turned, she spotted a far more familiar face. He knelt, his profile illuminated by the flickering lights in a way that only amplified his distress. A fist clenched around her heart, concern for her friend momentarily overcoming the exhaustion she felt. "Hey," she began, closing the distance between herself and @Kijin Shihaku. Were it anyone else, she might have laid a supportive hand on his shoulder, or thrown herself into some comforting dialogue. Instead, she simply asked, "Are you good?"

@Emerath Katou ’s music drew Savannah from her stupor, the echoing screams of the lions who had fallen from the bridge replaying in a loop in her head. She had tried to help, to grab onto flailing arms and coat sleeves and pull them back, but she was useless. She could save no one. She could only run on with the others, her hand locked in Luna’s grasp, always sure to keep her by the Knight’s side no matter what.

Now, the group was strewn about the room in various states of turmoil and contemplation. Savannah’s silver eyes were locked on the door they had rushed through. She couldn’t audibly hear the screams, the crush of bones, the rending of flesh, she knew the audio would be with her as long as she remained in this place. She would sleep with those screams echoing inside her skulls.

Another sound crept into the chaos of her mind and the Knight blinked, her face finally turning away. Her attention landed on the white-haired girl beside with tears building in the corners of her beautiful eyes. Savannah made a noise of surprise before moving so that she stood right in front of @Luna Avalbane , blocking her view of anything else.

Hey, she said gently, her hands coming up to cup Luna’s face. It was very unlike the Knight as physical touch was something that normally felt very awkward and forced for her, but this was the opposite. This felt as natural as breathing. Hey, it’s okay. You’re okay. We’re okay. Don’t cry Luna.

She didn’t honestly know what to say to the girl, but something was always better than nothing when just going through such a traumatic experience. Her thumbs were gentle as they smoothed over her cheekbones, wiping away the few droplets that had escaped her control.

Luna almost gave up hope, slowly falling to her knees before a hand grasped her own and she was tugged forward, running through some doors to what she could only hope through hazy thoughts was to another safe area. Whatever was happening, whatever was befalling the people that fell, she kept her eyes screwed shut and could only listen to the screams of pain, agony and the insane laughter and chanting as the world around her fell apart. This wasn't how things were supposed to happen!

Once through the doors, she all but collapsed, falling to her knees with her hands wrapped around her head, hyperventilating as the sounds of screams and death faded with the sealing of the doors. They had to go back! They had to save them! They couldn't just leave them behind! They were monsters! Villains! Her eyes twitched and screwed even more tightly shut as she tried to clamp down on the scream of despair that wanted to escape, instead only a soft whimper managed to slip past her lips.

A pair of hands found her face and Luna flinched, looking up into the eyes of @Savannah Reed with a gaze that completely betrayed the terror she felt inside, a haunted look buried deep in her eyes. It was horrible. "H-how...?" She whimpered, lunging forward to wrap her arms around Savannah with a strangled sob tearing free of her throat. "How could we just leave them out there!?"

She glanced around, looking at the weary and haunted survivors, tears freely flowing. "They've all lost friends.....loved ones.....and we....w-we just.....ran...." She'd seen so many people fall. The redhead, among the others, had been so horrifying to watch. She swallowed, her grip around Savannah tightening. "D-don't die Savannah...I don't want to watch you go..."

Everything was too sudden. The image of her fellow Lions facing their sudden death played again and again inside Corvella's head, the details getting clearer everytime. This is just a game, alright. Some of them are probably players, they might have already spawned elsewhere. But she will not ever comprehend what it is like to experience something like what they felt, be it physical or mental pain beyond anything that she had ever seen. They are already half of the number they started with.

This is too much, even for her that has experienced the Falderen prison. She stood near the pool for quite a long time before realizing she is bleeding from the head and also her back. As the armor took the hits for her and the feeling of rush filled her head, she have just noticed the dripping blood and pain after the horror have ended. The blonde took off her helmet and washed her forehead. The sting indicated that it is indeed a healing pool and after some time the bleeding stopped and the wound began to close. Her exhaustion, on the other hand, does not go away easily like her head wound.

Corvella ignored everything that is happening around her, trying to empty her mind. The rest of her armor pieces came off, one by one falling into the ground as she slowly walked towards the female area of the pool. The water washed away the sweat and blood dried all over her body, making sizzling sounds as it healed external wounds. She slowly lowered her pale face into the water, submerging so nobody would notice her cry. What's wrong with me? I thought I was stronger than this. No matter how much stronger I had become. My strength didn't matter and will never does.

Everything that happened continued to fiddle around in her head. Ilya could feel her legs beginning to shake as each person glanced and disappeared from the world. It sent chills through Ilya's body. The horror that the group had to face definitely affected her. With the last departure of their group being Seigi, Ilya felt her body grow numb with loss. In mere seconds our group was reduced like this..?!

With her hair fluttering, she took note that she was one of the cleanest in the group. Yet, with blood crusted on parts of her outfit and dirt still dotting her skin, Ilya headed straight for the female side of the pools. With @Vina Skysong being close by, she walked over on her path to the pools. Her tail flicked and touched her cheek, fluttering across until it once again dropped to the floor. Her gaze now fixed on the healing pools after having invited Vina to join her. Taking off her new vambraces and her clothes she slipped into the water. Her body becoming covered by the water and the visibly humid air, her chilled skin (that had happened as a result of her hydromancy usage) beginning to heat up. Taking out a vial of water she had kept on her she began to drink before beginning to wash up her body. Keeping her gear far from the water was simple. Yet she drew her vambraces closer as she began to lightly dabble them with bits of water to cleanse the leather.

Once it seemed satisfactory, yet not too wet to be a hinderance, Ilya returned them to where her clothes remained. The figure that she had slid close to seemed to wash up in silence. I wonder whether Vina will join me? Despite her thoughts, she glanced over at whom she had slipped next to... @Corvella Taking note that she seemed to not want to speak, she too remained quiet. Waiting for either Vina to come over or Corvella to speak up to her.

The vile odor of blood and tainted waters felt as though it had followed the group as they finally escaped, and the haunting screams of the dying plagued Yukisa’s mind. If there was one thing he hated seeing, it was the suffering of others, hence why he did all in his power to show kindness and make others happy, so watching countless people lose their lives… so unnecessarily… Some would say it’s “just a game”, but for a broken soul such as himself, who never felt more alive than when he was in the realm of Terrasphere, it was so much more than that.

And what was worse than witnessing those deaths, was how, for some reason, that whole situation reminded him of something. He couldn’t quite put his finger on what, but he just had an unsettling feeling of deja vu, a memory at the back of his mind desperately attempting to unleash itself just as whatever unholy creature laid in the depths of that pool did.

“At least… we’re safe now…” he muttered as he caught his breath, still somewhat shaken by the events of before.

Once he was done panting, Yukisa finally lifted his head to look around. The room wasn’t particularly nice, however, it was certainly soothing to the eye after what he had just witnessed. Stepping over to the pool, he looked down at his reflection. His eyes were somewhat red, and there were a few, although faint, noticeable black spots on his skin - likely a result of the miasma from before. Alongside that, his hair was matted from sweat, and there was quite a bit of dirt and dust covering his clothes and body. Though most would feel distress from such a sight, a level of relief washed over him, instead.

‘That was… actually kind of fun,’ he thought, followed by a quiet little chuckle to himself.

But as fun as it was, he didn’t really enjoy the disgusting feeling of being dirty. On top of that, his hair being in such a mess quickly triggered his OCD, and so he immediately got to washing himself. Cupping water in his hands, he dumped it onto himself, and did everything he could to look proper. It was difficult, however he eventually managed to make himself at least somewhat presentable - though, those black stains didn’t seem to be disappearing anytime soon.

Upon finishing his grooming session, the silver-haired male stood. He wasn’t the only one who needed taking care of: the rest were just as bad, if not worse off than him.

I've got some medicine if anyone's feeling unwell! I'm guessing at least a few of us are... uh... queasy after that...

He wasn’t sure if anyone had caught onto his words, considering his throat was so dry he couldn’t manage to speak up very loudly. Fortunately, at least one person had heard him.

Smiling warmly, he approached @Ilya, glad to be able to lend a hand, even if it were with something minor.

“I have a lot of different herbs and remedies, depending on what you need… though, most of them don’t taste really good…” he said, laughing nervously. “But they do their job! If you have anything to eat or drink them with, it might be easier to down. On that note, you said something about having water? I’m pretty thirsty, so…” He reached a hand up to his cheek, scratching his cheek in embarrassment, despite how simple of a request it is.

The sheer folly of considering the bridge an easy and peaceful room was almost enough to make one want to scream. Easy? Peaceful? They had been reduced to a mere dozen, after they had all managed to get past the bandits and the giant ape without nearly so much as a scratch. Sure, some people had been wounded back then, but nobody had reached a critical state, and their wounds were easily healed through some restorative magic and rest. And now...

Vina's face was as white as her hair, except for her cheeks which had a green tint to them as she had to fight hard not to vomit. Seeing those people get ripped apart by the water itself... It had been horrifying, it had been disgusting. She had tried to help, but she couldn't think of anything that would work. Worse yet, she'd been too scared of what might happen if she happened to look down while she helped them. It was cowardly, but whatever had taken them had not only done so without there being any visible way to resist them, but also had managed to twist their minds... And Vina was deadly afraid of what that could imply. Would you become insane, not only here but in real life as well?

Her attempts at growing some vines to grab people without coming close to the edge herself had all failed, as in the chaos by the time she noticed someone being in danger they were already being grabbed by the water, and by that point it was too late. She even had to watch Seigi get pulled into the water, an awful sight as just like the others she got ripped apart. Vina was left with no other choice than to accept that there was nothing she could do and flee the room together with the rest as soon as the way was open.

Now she was trying to keep her stomach from expelling its contents onto the floor in front of her, the visages of before continuing to come back to her. She had tried to help, it wasn't like she'd just stood there and watched without doing anything, but it hadn't done anything. It was humiliating, but that was how it was. She repeatedly told herself that it wasn't her fault, that it wouldn't be good for anyone including herself if she began to blame herself for what happened. She was still alive, the best she could do was... well, her best.

The thing which eventually managed to distract Vina was @Ilya prodding her with her lion tail, causing the white druidess to blink and nearly jump up as if startled before looking over at Ilya to see the golden-haired Felis enter the water. She hesitated for only a short moment before she nodded to herself and moved towards the water as well, even as she walked using the UI to remove her clothes so by the time that she was at the water she could immediately step in. She didn't even mind if that was indecent, and usually she might even have made a little show out of it, but right now she didn't have the stamina for that kind of thing. The restorative powers of the pool were a small reprieve as the silver-haired vixen sat down next to Ilya, for now silent as she stared at the water and the wall separating the male side and the female side.

“No! Saige-- wait, what was the name of that ‘hero one’ again?”

She watched - carefully avoiding the view of the bottom - as the Hero of Justice’s crazed form was swallowed up into the hideous abyss. The cries of the others around Celestine filled her in on the name she was missing. Terrifying, but…

“Errr… isn’t Seigi a player? She can’t really be doing a death, so…” Why was everyone making such a big deal out of it? Must be playing into the drama of the moment. Cool, cool, she could respect that. No doubt she’d join in too if she had any idea how she desired character would react to something this crazy. As she was, she’d just shrug, turn around, and get outta there.

“Eww…” Celestine glanced at the water in disgust, more from picturing everyone stripping down and revealing way more flesh than she’d ever want to see. “Nope. I will not be doing a swim of the masses,” she declared, shaking her head.

Grabbing her waterskin instead, she emptied it on the stone floor, boldly stepped forward, and scooped up a bunch of the water, taking a few sips. Whatever healing properties this water had - surely - could be gained this way. Yes. Much neater; much less pervy. Now, where was that adorable Neko-leader?

    @Zero @Comet

Celestine scanned the area for that legendary-tier orange fluff of a felis, catching sight of her with ease. The little cutie… and someone else who was butting into her turf. Celly’s tail swished behind her with a subtle aggression as she wandered up to Caccu and ‘the intruder.’ Waving her hand to the side, a powerful blast of air shot towards @Comet trying to knock her away as Celly took her place beside Caccu.

“Are you of the okayness?” Celestine asked Caccu with a comforting tone, despite having just made an attempt to whack the other girl away. As she continued, her hand tried to make its way up to the fluffy bliss that came from petting Caccu’s ears. “It is okay to do yourself a frighten. But do a think of it this way: if you were of more slowness, then many of the more could have done a death. You just have to do the best of you, and to do you a pressing of the onwards.”

    Celly smiled.

Alkaid tore off a pair of now worn, leathered boots.

Leathered. Now there was a word that well described many things on how she felt. Firstly there was the bastard who thought slapping Lovecraftian horror in the midst of your bog-standard Raid would be fun in a virtual reality game, whom she would quite happily send a book-worthy rant. Perhaps she’d even print a copy, which she could then wrap up in thick binding—maybe pretty up in a silver embossing—and kindly ship off to Nexus Corporation. Of course, just perhaps, much like any great novelist, she’d even have personal notes at the beginning which would read like a letter. “To all who designed this wonderful game”, it’d begin, right towards the top, leaving just the right amount of space in the middle for the following, “Fuck you.”

    Yes, that sounded quite right.

But that was just redirecting the blame. She was the one who decided to play this game. Just as she was the one who stood aside, knowing what was about to come when Seigi approached the water. How could she not? Premonitions and visions and the like were her magic’s bailiwick. But as soon as the thought of using Aeromancy to blast the girl away from the edge came to her, just as quickly she knew that the girl would wind up back there, even come back to it on her own. So she just chalked it up to fate. Let it happen.

The others she cared much less about. Taken unawares, a surge of panic before their minds left them. But the red haired girl? She looked down in a state of mind which she would have to remember, and Alkaid couldn’t help but blame herself for that, for not trying to save at least one person, only to reprimand herself further for doing so.

The girl willingly chose to go against those depths. And to shove all of her own self-pity, fear, and degradation upon that was a selfish, worthless thing.

Shedding her furs, she pulled at least her most important article from her inventory, then dropped deep into the healing spring. Cold, soothing water rushed up from beneath her feet, washing away the clinging sting of the miasma. Quick to go to work, it even began to close up the claw marks still remaining on her arms, which she watched with marked interest. Should probably bottle some of this stuff up to use later. Or maybe lots. I could make a lot of money with some of this...

Of course, that would require she get out or access her inventory, neither of which she felt particularly inclined to do at the moment. Instead, she spotted @Freja Sitka and waved her over, bottle in hand. "Don't suppose you'd want some? Not quite sure if Weeb Town exists in this game, but one of their essentials certainly does."

In truth, she was speaking a bit distantly, given she'd actually bathed in Japan while visiting cousins. But then, by that logic she'd already have committed cardinal sin. She didn't wash off first. None of them had. The horror.

Then again, who knew? Maybe magical cleansing spring kept itself clean, too. Hopefully nobody peed in the water, or else they might find out.

Assuming the woman she waved over joined her, Alkaid would go on. "By the way, sorry for going quiet on you back there. You could say could say my spider senses were tingling." Flashing a grin, she would add, "Although I certainly don't need them to tell what's going on over on the other side..."

OOC Note: Just to be clear anger is all Alkaid. :P Lovin' the event, else I'd not be postin'.

Was nice—sorta—to have the wagon gang back together, after everything had happened. For three days Destiny had wanted them to pipe down a little, they were such a chatty, rambunctious bunch. Hell, with the always unforgettable Alphabet Chocolate (plus her wolf), ever-gutsy sunset sage Seigi, mister musically-inclined Cain Darlite, horse-boy-healer-Haru, pint-sized pyromancer Velka, and little Valdrata here, it was quite the melting pot of personalities—one which Destiny had taken a hard back seat to. She had a feeling she wasn’t the only one who was missing their lively banter now. Wild as it’d been back then, now it felt… lonely. Over on the other side of the gender barrier, someone was playing guitar that seemed to echo the sentiment—and it wasn't that Cain fella. Think I got a pretty good handle on his particular style over the last couple days in his wagon.

“Nah, this is… mm…” At the felis’ (@Valdrada) question, Destiny cleared her throat. Funny, it felt strangely tight. She swallowed heavily, grimly choking down the warning signs of building hysteria. Christ, not now. She meant what she’d said—they were better than this, and the hell they’d just sprinted through (carrying crowns, no less) couldn’t hold them back now. Keep it together. Attempting to clear it again, the black-haired woman said gruffly “Ah, I saw its… person… fall. You know how.”

This sat for a moment until she coughed, shifting her legs in the warm healing spring as if searching for a more comfortable position. “Figured even if I, heh—sorry, somethin’ in my throat—couldn’t save him in time, I could at least keep his pet safe.” Still tangled securely in her pile of clothing, the animal snarled and showed its tiny teeth from a distance. “Aw, quit it, you,” Des directed at it, relieved at the distraction. “Wait til I hand you back to your pal in one piece, then you'll be grateful.”

Try as she might, it didn’t look like she could avoid bringing it up—what’d happened had disturbed her that much—so Destiny eventually fell quiet again. Let the pool do its magic, relax while I can. Last thing they needed was to wallow in something already behind them. With a little time, they’d pick up the scattered pieces and their wounded pride (no pun intended—hell, who was she kidding, of course it was) and move on.

"Ah... the room is crumbling, hehe. I better get through that doorway. Can't die here, hehe, after all the work I did for these dummies, I have to make it to the end! Hehehe, I'm the Witch Ops Commander after all! Hehe..."

Majolica was too tired to really even understand everything that was happening around her, but after hobbling through the doorway she slowly made headed directly towards the pool.

"Hehe... that looks, refreshing... hehehe. Just gotta make it there... Hehehe. Hehe, sure hope it doesn't melt me.... hehehe."

Reaching the edge, she let gravity drop her in with a large splash. Majolica didn't resurface for several seconds... then...

"Fwoosh! Hehehe! I'm back! This is good water! Hehehe, maybe I should take some with me! Hehehe."

Majolica happily swam around the pool in a splashy doggie paddle that was probably annoying to anyone that was just trying to relax for a moment.

Now that she was feeling rejuvenated, she noticed the somber faces of everyone around her. Thinking back on it, she had noticed that one of the player characters, the redhead she met a few times, had gotten swallowed by whatever monster had almost eaten them all.

Hehehe, why would the dummy look? I don't get it, but I guess that's just the type of person they are... hehe. Well, it's not like it matters anyway! Hehehe! They're a player so they'll just come back! Hopefully, they'll come back a bit smarter next time! Hehehe, I remember that redhead from that time when I tried to eat that shadow monster... hehe. They were pretty strong, but not as strong as a Grand Witch! Hehehe, we'll be fine because I'm still here, and I got some energy back! Hehehe, all these bandit dummies are in big trouble once we find them! I'll show them what a Witch Ops Commander Grand Witch can really do! Hehehehe!

For Majolica, the real loss was the many NPCs that wouldn't be coming back. They had given their lives to fight this Bandit King and had died honorably and valiantly trying to rid their country of villainy. Their deaths were on his hands, and Majolica's brand of justice wouldn't allow her to let this so-called Bandit King survive this ordeal.

Don't worry little NPC subjects, hehe, you died valiantly and Grand Witch Majolica will make sure your sacrifice wasn't in vain! Hehehehe... that bandit king will wish he was never born. Hehe... no bandit or collaborator will be safe from The Grand Witch's wrath... hehehe...

Majolica cackled to herself loudly enough for others to hear, then stowed those emotions away so she could focus on getting a bit of rest. Earlier she had noticed Witch Op hopefuls @Seraphy and @Freja Sitka had made it through okay, so at least that was going well. As she swam, one thing did occur to her though.

"Hehehe, how am I going to dry off? If I use my ice, my clothes will freeze. Hehehe... hmm..."

Shrugging, Majolica decided to worry about it later. She would need to get as much rest and relaxation as possible because the next time an enemy reared its ugly face...

Hehehe... I'll wipe that face clean off their head... hehehe.

The simple request that @Yukisa seemed to ask of seemed simple enough. Taking an empty cup that Ilya had borrowed from the tavern a few days prior she muttered a few syllabols. Water began to pile from the air, cleansing itself as it drove its way into the cup. In exchange for the clean, drinkable water, Ilya looked at his supply of medicine. She was definitely feeling unwell and shocked, perhaps something that would help keep one relaxed at a time like this.. Yet still alert. "Do you have something that will soothe anxiety and queasiness yet will keep one alert?"

The request that Ilya had made of @Vina Skysong was simple and direct and Vina had readily joined Ilya in the pool of water. The two girls were stripped of their armor. Taking a note of the greenish tint that Vina held in her face. Ilya had been sitting in the pool for a few seconds, before she had felt energy begin to recover within her. As if instantly, and idea popped into her head. Her aim was to help Vina. Her lips remained together as she began to hum the melody of the song that they had sung together on their first meeting. Her voice clear yet quiet as she started to sing the chorus. Her tail wrapping around Vina as she drew her body closer. Her skin now meeting with Vina's. Her arm lifted slightly and her fingers began to draw circles on Vina's arm to help soothe her companion. The intense feelings Ilya had for the girl showing through each motion she took.

    "My arms are open wide
    I'm reaching out to you
And if you say you're weak
    I'm standing to tell you
    The happier you are
    The richer you will be
    Focus on what you have
Not on things that are missing"

The song was not very elaborate but it made Ilya's mind fill with the happy memories that she held with Vina. Hopefully, as it was helping Ilya calm, it would help Vina calm down. It seemed to suit the situation they were in. They had lost many of their group, yet now they should stay together and help each other. With teamwork they could be happy and cast aside the sickness they were feeling. The way that Ilya sang the song was definitely a rendition. It was not as fast paced just yet, it was slower and more delicate. It was something that held more personal experience, emotions and memories than the way that the song was normally sung. In Ilya's mind her plan was to, if Vina joined in make it slightly more energetic. Hopefully it would make people feel happier if they heard it too.

And just as she had arrived, to assist those lost in the fray of a maddening puzzle, to witness the death of one of their own, the conflict had... Ended? It certainly wasn't over for good, she reassured herself. As much as it seemed blasphemy or disrespectful to the fallen, it was a disgruntling thought to the pyromancer that she had missed all of the fun! She scoffed at herself. Violence wasn't fun, it was wrong... But it was enjoyable to blow off a little steam that way, pun intended. So, following forward towards the spring, she proceeded.

Catching the middle of @Quinn's rather brilliant dismissal of his disguise?- she sidestepped the rather grandiose display. Such things drew attention, and she was careful not to catch a lingering eye. The thought of such gazes, like spotlights onto a grand stage, sent nervous shivers trickling through her body, and ever so slightly triggered the pace of her heart to hasten, even if it was merely a fleeting idea. With this in mind, she made her way to a less populated area nearing the waters.

"Mmm?!" She had slipped off her slippers, tossing them up, over her head, and back down into her good, reliable, sub-space inventory compartment. It was just as her toes had graced the water that flavor of words directed towards her caught upon her ears, as though they were her nostrils, catching a violent scent. Who could it be, approaching her so soon after her arrival? Had she not been sneaky enough?

"Oh, hello!" She chuckled to herself. Hot stuff, huh? "Oh, I don't know if pyromancy is sexy, but..." With her bare feet in the water, the smallest hint of an orangish hue flickered on her flesh, before the water distorted. It began boiling, before steam leaked out from the downward limbs, as though she were a fog machine. "I suppose I can do something to... Conceal the unmentionables." Crouching down, she lowered her hands into the water as well, doubling the speed of this process, and sending heat further along as well.

"It's good to see you again, @Temperance, by the way." Nalla stood, a few moments after her heating of the water commenced. She slipped off her coat, as it had gotten quite warm since the steam she created began to fill around her. "Good to know you lived those shenanigans back there." She somewhat feigned the idea that she had participated in those events, not exactly lying, but not promoting the true idea, nevertheless.
