On your exploration of the world, you encounter an incredibly old man who is infected with Zalrisis a terrible condition, in which the victim's body slowly turns into crystal. Despite being in the last stage of the disease, the man continued to live in agony. He begged you to defeat a small fungal creature called Dark Wood Fly. With its flesh, you can concoct a way to spare the man from further pain as the last of him is eaten by the crystal.

OOC: Work together and do some freeform roleplaying with one another, the quest will be considered complete in 3 posts. I will not interfere unless you reach out to me at: Spice my Thread

  2. Aloysius received a quest by an old, infected man. The disease was known as Zalrisis. After hearing of the man's affliction, Aloysius recoiled back and created distance from him. He didn't want to contract the status affect, himself, so keeping a good distance between himself and the quest-giver was the best option. After obtaining the quest, he closed his palm tightly and then opened it for the interface to pop up. He flipped through the menus until he pulled up the map with the 'quest helper' showing where the quest was to be performed. After a brief moment and thinking to himself, he rushed over, avoiding as many monsters as possible before arriving at the quest location.

The quest location was in a dark and dense forest. The humidity of the forest sky-rocketed causing Aloysius to wipe the sweat off of his forehead so it wouldn't drip into his eyes. His equipment was lacking fiercely. Grumbling with his money problems and lack of equipment, he stood around and waited for another individual to come around and help him with this quest. Due to his humble equipment in spite of his character's history, he had to make due. This was a beginner's quest so he didn't expect this to be too hard, right?

In front of him, he saw a whole cavalcade of monsters, none that he was looking for. Since this was a special monster, it would most likely be the 'boss' of this area. Aloysius tapped his foot upon the ground as he continued to flip through the menus to analyze his load-out. He really should've performed a fetch-quest before doing this. But the pay was just too good to pass up! While he waited, the player ended up removing the headset for a moment so he could use the bathroom. An 'AFK' sign lingered above his character's head momentarily. After that brief moment, he returned and continued to wait until someone appeared.

  3. Leon Snow was exploring the new and beautiful world of Esuilus as he pulled up the world map he could see just ahead of him a vast forest, Snow liked a challenge so he didn't hesitate on wanting to go and explore it, Leon was weary at first, being out on his first quest but he didn't hold back, he could already see the gold signs in his eyes to buy another weapon.
he walked further into the forest as he came across an old man sitting there, he could see the old man was in pain so he rushed over, Leon asked 'what is wrong with you old man' Snow looked him up and down, 'you don't look in good shape old man can i do anything to help?'
The old man explained to him that he was infected with Zalrisis a terrible condition and he needed help quickly, he stepped back incase the old man came in contact with him.

Leon soon noticed another presence near the infected man, he wasn't sure if that was an actual player or and NPC but he knew it would be rude to ignore him if it was actually real person. Approaching him with his hand scratching the back in his neck he spoke up. 'i suppose you you don't know anything about this infection he is talking about'? his eyes turned back to the old man as he was worried for his health if he was going to make it or not.

Leon opened up the quest info to see that he had to defeat a small fungal creature called 'Dark Wood Fly' he brushed his hair to the side 'this monster seems like a piece of cake!'

  4. Aloysius seemed to be met up with another player before leaving the town. He shrugged his shoulders a bit, pointing his palms skyward. "I have no idea. I just know that I don't want that status effect. So we have to find the target and bring back the loot to cure him. That's all I know (and that's what the quest helper says)," he said as he looked towards the player. With so many players running around, this was the first he actually saw doing this mission. One would figure that there would be so many since this was the beginner area; apparently Aloysius might be mistaken.

"Piece of cake," Aloysius said hesitantly before remembering how empty his inventory looked. "Yeah," he said, twitching a little bit. Aloysius sighed outwardly as he started to make his way towards the quest objective, to the location in general, varying his speed between normal run and sprint while watching his stamina gauge. At least he has spells he could use to debilitate the creature.

Upon entering the quest objective area, Aloysius stood still for a moment to regain his stamina. Before him was a large group of monsters of different types moving around. Some of them seemed passive while a very few seemed aggressive. "I think we're going to have to avoid the aggressive monsters and stick around the passives until we find this creature. We should spread out for now so we can find it. I'll yell once I find it," he said being quite confident in his searching abilities; even if he isn't built for it.

"Oh!" he said before opening up his menu and sending Leon a party invite. He gave Leon a thumbs up and started to look for this itty bitty creature. He toured around all of the passive monsters, trying to remain safe due to not having a weapon. He looked around for a moment before noticing the 'quest objective' marker standing amidst a group of hostile monsters.

"I think I found it! Going to need your help here!" he shouted out towards Leon as he pointed towards the Quest Objective. It seemed to be surrounded by 3 goblin monsters. A groan of annoyance crept across Aloysius's lips before he started flipping through his menus for potential spells. "I don't have any weapons right now, so I'm going to have to rely on you to be front-line for this quest. Do you want to kill the goblins before going after the fungus or do you wanna grab the fungus and get out of town?"
