Mizuki blinked as she failed to find Celestine. She had thought that the Felis had followed them into the hidden room, but given her sudden absence it looked like the strange girl had decided to leave instead. As Kaede had already mentioned it wasn't like she was obligated to stay with them, and with something attacking them out of nowhere it wasn't too strange that she'd rather not stick around. The Lupis just hoped that the Aeromancer would manage to get out of the cave without being attacked herself. While she and Kaede were now inside the secret room whatever it was that had attacked them was now out there together with Celestine. Maybe she should go out and search for the Felis and see if she was all right? No, that would just make it more likely that the thing would figure out where this secret room was, and beyond that it'd just increase the amount of people in danger of being assaulted from the darkness. The Felis would have to fend for herself until she managed to get out.
As for herself, she was having trouble finding the device that Kaede had mentioned. The Caenis muttered as nothing at first glance really looked like a harpoon gun, which meant that either it was hidden even in this hidden room or she'd have to ask Kaede just exactly what the thing looked like. However looking at Kaede it was clear the woman wasn't exactly in a good mood right now. Mizuki could hardly blame her: this wasn't how one would want to spend their day under the best circumstances, and with the memory loss included she was pretty sure her friend wasn't in the best of circumstances to begin with.

"Don't worry Kaede, we'll figure something out. Whatever it was that attacked us it wasn't so strong that it was willing to attack us after its initial attack had failed, so we aren't completely outmatched as long as we're careful."
Of course that wasn't the only issue they were dealing with right now, but it was at least a piece of good news that hopefully would help Kaede calm down a bit. They were being targeted by something, but it wasn't something that could kill them any time it liked. They had ways to deal with it.
However it looked like it would need more than that for Kaede to really relax, so Mizuki abandoned her search for the harpoon device to instead walk over to Kaede and sit down next to her, pulling her into a brief hug to try and provide some comfort while also curling her tail around her friend's waist.

"We just need to be careful and we'll be all right. We'll figure out what task it is that you need to complete and then we'll get out of here."
They could just have climbed out if it wasn't for Kaede feeling like she had something she had to do in this place, but it was too late to lament that. When the woman mentioned that the wind was going somewhere Mizuki looked thoughtful, quickly coming to the same conclusion as Kaede. If there was a wind blowing that meant there was an opening somewhere, and while it wouldn't guarantee that they wouldn't run into the creature again another opening might help avoid the thing for a while. Their objective was to find out why Kaede felt compelled to stay here, so fighting that thing was optional and preferably avoided.
She quickly got up to help Kaede move the cabinet away, noting how one of the advantages of this ice cave was that at least provisions kept for a long time... unless those provisions were stored here very recently. When the hole hidden behind the cabinet was revealed Mizuki kneeled in front of it and touched both the stairs and what looked like an ice slide, not noticing any abnormalities or seeing any signs of there being

"Better to take the stairs, even if it'll take longer... unless you just want to hurry up and get this over with as soon as possible."
Mizuki herself already stepped onto the stairs, sniffing the air and looking forward into the hole as she narrowed her eyes. The wind was indeed blowing in this direction.

"And with the wind blowing this way our scent will be carried forward, so I'd really rather not put myself in a position where I'd have difficulty defending myself if I found something waiting for me further down the slide."
Having made her decision she began to descend, turning around and beckoning for Kaede to follow, patiently waiting and even offering a hand to help the woman onto the stairs. While they weren't as smooth as the slide they were still stairs in an ice cave complex, so they'd have to be careful that they wouldn't fall.
