Freezing 5/6 you feel sluggish, if you reach the cap, you will freeze.

    -20 from Assassin attacks
    -30 from Ice Blast
    -30 from Ultra Crash
    -30 from Frost Stacks

It began with a flurry of arrows. The first impact upon her heel kept her from evading another into her shoulder. She winced, gritting her teeth. "Shit, g-gotta move!" She shivered, swiftly kneeling to try and pull the bolt from her limb. Quick as she could move, often times we may find that, as humans, we can never be quick enough. From above came icicles from the ceiling, descending like a rain of nails. "Eehhh?!" She could see it coming, but evasion was not an option. All she could manage was to shield her head with her hands, still kneeling.

The frozen objects ripped through the flesh of her arms, and dug into her face and body. Frozen, deep cuts were forged across her form. As the icy mist faded, she remained kneeling. It was fortunate that her arms and fingers had become so cold and void of color, for she didn't feel as much of the pain that way. She had survived the onslaught, she thought. "Hah! I m-made it!" A proud scoff! Then, the Bandit King's axe struck the ground, sending a shock-wave towards her.

"YOU WILL PERISH HERE. BANDITS, FORWARD. PROTECT YOUR KING AND I SHALL BRING VICTORY TO US."

"D-Damn it..." The Pyromancer's body had been thrown, and upon initial impact, the arrow still implanted in her shoulder snapped, the arrowhead digging deeper within. Upon her hands and knees, the frigid world around her keeping her from moving too quickly, she tried to crawl away. "Why did I even show up..." Her ailing limbs moved her only inches at a time. "S-stupid, I should've just stayed in the wagon." Tears began to well at the floodgates.

'You did fine.' Nalla paused in her weak display, the wispy blue cat sitting directly in front of her. 'You helped. You did the right thing.'

"It's not fair!" She shouted at the animal, her voice frail and fading. "Atlas Shrugged, huh, SO DO I!" She spat blood onto the ground below, the pair of arms and legs that held her upright quaking with frost and fading light. "It's not fair, Ele! I should've just s-s-" She began to cry, her words waving like a flag in the wind. "It's not fair, Ele... I'm s-scared..."

Her arms finally let go, and her body collapsed towards the ground. She was gone before she could feel the impact.

    'It's okay.'

    Mid cycle update

    RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.

He couldn’t just fall here. He was the legitimate king of Adecus, the one who would dethrone that little blonde kid. Right, he had to surpass his limits, to go even further beyond. Lades clawed at his flesh, magic shook his soul, but he did not give in, not yet. While his axe clashed with many other adventurer’s weapons, the bandit king observed. Even in the chaos of battle, his eyes watched the main driving forces behind the enemy troops. Erasmus Jorgensen could tell amidst them the biggest threat to him and his mutts, and he would teach him a lesson.

Weapons, he endured. Magic, he endured.

Against the sound magic that turned his ears useless, he endured one last time.

His arms raised up wielding the guillotine of death, but he lacked the power, the strength in him to unleash one final attack… The hyper sound wave hit him with great strength, and his vision faded away as his eyes stared at the cloudy sky. His weapon dropped from his grip, hitting the ground with a loud clang - followed by an uncanny crack on the ground. It continued from zone 5 to zone 8, turning it into a highly unstable ground.

Defeating the enemy leader is, without a doubt, one of the most successful ways to weaken enemy forces. However, there was a reason the adventurers found so many badges dedicated to leaders in the past, and the pride had done a terrible mistake to think common sense would apply to his mutts, to the members of the black wolf. THEY WOULD NOT YIELD.

After all, as long as his majesty’s will remained, a new leader could carry on.

Meanwhile, the hydromancers continued chanting their spell, faster and faster with each passing moment. Copious amounts of mana coalesced in their staves, sign of the icy doom waiting for them. Not far away from his comrades, the Assassins prepared another salvo of arrows that rained down on anyone at zone 8. Each one of them laced with the bittersweet taste of revenge, as they were focused on .

Seeing them prepare another salvo of Arrows Caccu stepped in and hurled her previous spell at them again. This time around, however, due to her recklessness she was shot by one of the assassins, receiving critical damage. It was enough to sap the catgirl of her remaining EN and put her in an unconscious state - with swift steps, one of the assassins kidnapped the orange head with a knife dangerously close to her throat as he returned to his peers.

This post does not reset post cooldown.

    Actions
    Basic:
    • Below are the list of actions you can perform. Carefully read what each one does.
    • Once you have decided on an action, go to the roll thread and roll what the action is telling you to roll.
    • In order to roll, you can just copy the template in the roll thread and post that. It will give you a number that you can apply modifiers to.
    • Next you have to fill in a template, which I will talk about below.
    Attacking Template:
    1. Edit the 000 inside health and energy tags
    2. Edit the number inside loc=zone tag, this is where your character is
    3. Edit the name of the target you are attacking
    4. Link your tracker and roll
    5. Edit the inside of the score tag
    6. For the last part, edit the target's name. Then look for the enemy's last recorded HP and subtract your score from it. This is to help the DM keep track of enemy's HP!
    Supporting Template:
    1. Edit the 000 inside health and energy tags
    2. Edit the number inside loc=zone tag, this is where your character is
    3. Edit this part: Single/AoE Heal/Buff. Options: single heal, AoE heal, single buff, AoE buff
    4. Edit the name of the target you are supporting
    5. Link your tracker and roll
    6. Edit the inside of the score tag

    Attack
Note Whenever you attack an enemy, you will gain one stack of Freezing. If you ever reach 6 stacks, your character will be frozen and taken out of the battle permanently. Reckless attack will give you 2 stacks.

This condition can be dispelled normally, or cleared by Pyromancy, White Magic via the "Heat" action.

Attack You attack the enemy using your highest mastery as modifier.
    • Roll a d100

Alpha took a brief pause from her chatter with Cain to take a look around them. Nearly all of their enemies were dead and the battle appeared to be settling down with casualties from both sides. There was nothing out of the ordinary and, as Caccu was being kidnapped by the bandits, she sat a far distance away, oblivious to the chaos that was unfolding. "Eh, what's going on?"

She took another look around, surveying the place. Hector rustled behind her, eyes alert and ears perked up to the sound of Caccu's plight. "Welpers, looks like our job here is mostly done! We have a bunch of chitter-chatter time!" she grinned, eyes focused on Cain a distance away. "Soda pops are super important, y'know!"

Hector was nervous. He scratched his head with his hind-paw, slowly pacing around with a keen eye. The sound of footsteps. He twitched. And, with Alpha none the wiser, he leaped from his place and rushed towards the assassins---the ones who with their knives pointed towards Caccu's throat.

This would be his own adventure. He will never have praises sung in his honor but the blood of his enemies would do. He couldn't help but scoff as he rushed towards his enemies. He could do this on his own, he didn't need Alphabet Chocolate or anybody but himself to tear through these idiots.

As he drew to a stop, he faced the bandits with a contemptuous look and a sniff of his nose. "Bork," he threatened. "Bork bark bork bark woof!" he gave a toothy grin, his face vicious as he insulted the bandits' mothers, their own illegitimacy, and how edgy they look wearing clothes that belonged in a Hot Topic. "Rawr," he finished.

"Wha?! Why aren't they surrendering?! That's really not very smart and very sad and pointless! Please give up being bandits and I promise we will show mercy! The Lions are not bad people!!!"

Shouting that, Seraphy noticed that the conditions of the battlefield had substantially changed once more.

I can feel the temperature dropping... Not good!

Seraphy looked around to see a... flower...eye...girl... (is that what the kids are into these days?) looking rather blue.

Oh no! She's gonna freeze solid at this rate! I've gotta do something!

"Ms. Avalbane! Please mind your coldness! Is that what it's called?! Anyway! This should heat you right up! Thank you please!"

Yelling that in a fluster, Seraphy threw a Hot Drink (tm) at her with all her girlish might. It flew through the air with the sounds of holy trumpets, or probably not. Actually people were probably dying like dogs n' logs on both sides. The whole situation was horrible. Seraphy just wanted to go home...

    -They have Caccu?
Well, this came as a suprise. Haru told himself that he wouldn't let his guard down, and he didn't. He supposes, though, that he can't account for an entire battlefield. Even if he had noticed, what could he have done? What could he even do now? It's not like he had anything to throw at the aggressor without giving away that he himself was the cause, which could cause that little one's death. Haru finds such an option unacceptable. He's barely gotten to know her, but he appreciates adventuring with her. Friends are damn important to him. But what could he even do but just sit around and wait-

Crunch. "Agh..!" Haru can't help but cry out. What the hell was biting him? An ant. A really big ant. Wasn't this thing dead?! A moment of supreme frustration overcomes the man, a terrible headache accompanying the pain in his torso. The damn thing was practically already dead, anyway. Why the hell would it just go latching onto him instead of lying down and dying? The damn ant didn't even have a purpose, it should just lie down and die-
-Wait. No, no, no. It could certainly have a purpose. Raising a weak hand and placing his palm upon the thing's rather smooth head, Haru accesses a resource that he hasn't touched since he even started: Beast Taming.

With the same will he uses for all of his spells and the fuel of his temper powering his desperate drive to save a friend, Haru orders this beast to do just that: Save a friend. "Kill that man. Bring back the creature he is holding a weapon to. Do it quickly. Rampage." And so goes the ant, off to do just that, walking the line of death to strike at the horrible humanoids (except one). Haru was glad for such a chance- these ants had nothing to do with their party, after all, and simply wouldn't be traced back to the doing of his party. At least, he hopes so.

Everything was going so fast, Luna had no clue what to do anymore. One moment the Bandit King was there, the next he was dead and the ice was cracking beneath her feet. All she knew was that she had to jump and get away. She made a run for it, moving as far out of the way as she could, gasping to herself when she was no longer standing above cracked ice, before flicking through her grimoire again and selecting another spell. This one would sting, she decided.

She panted, holding both hands above her head as arcane energy swirled to life above them, creating a large sphere above her head that she tossed towards the group of gathered assassins, where it exploded.

While Yukisa was busy fighting a grape juice loving ant and a wall, his companions whom actually had the capacity to deal significant damage were engaged in intense combat against the real threat: Erasmus, the Bandit King. Even in his enraged form, they still successfully held their own, and within a few posts the already weakened man was at last brought down with a roar so savage, it might have belonged to a beast.

Even if only just for a moment, the silver-haired male allowed himself to grin. This was the first “dungeon” he completed within Terrasphere, and seeing the big boss man perish made him reminiscence all the time he spent with his friends meticulously planning and executing elaborate raids. Nothing brought more relief than finally chipping off that last chunk of health and seeing loot rain from the skies.

Sadly, no treasure chest magically appeared, nor did the King’s minions disappear alongside their master, perhaps a poor choice of the DMs game designers, considering that his party was so drained at this point that they could barely put up a fight against even these weaker enemies. Well, at least it stuck to that whole “realism” concept.

Worse than that, though the battle should have been over, it seemed the bandits were not so willing to give up just yet. Being somewhat of a pacifist, if they had simply fled he would have likely let them go. But instead, they did something that he would never let slide: they were attempting to kidnap one of his friends (that he so happened to never have talked to).

“They’re trying to steal Kazoo- uh, Caccu!” he shouted to the others, hoping to god that a few of them will catch on. Fortunately, three of them were alert, and instantly began pursuit of the despicable assassins who were attempting to flee with their leader. They had already lost one leader today - no way was Yukisa allowing there to be a second.

Manipulating the winds with his aeromancy, he launched himself forwards, swiftly catching up to the man who dragged the unconscious felis after himself. Alongside that, he created a powerful wind in the opposite direction of where the bandit was running, making it difficult to flee and gradually slowing him down. Combined with the efforts of @Alphabet Chocolate and @Haru, it seemed the kidnapper was just in arm’s reach of the trio. All it took was one last push...

Each struggle of breath brought more pain into Ilya's body. Her mind unconscious to the fact that Vina had taken up the area next to her. Her body was being cradled in her arms as the silver vixen sang to her. Unaware as the cold began to slowly escape her body, Ilya remained in the same position...

Seconds turned into minutes as the Bandit King was slain. Ilya still unaware of the events happening around her.

Coming too, and allowing her mind catch up was a difficult task, indeed. Without many other choices, Ilya finally realized what was happening around her. Jerking to sit up, her eyes dotted around the frozen snow land. Her eyes only catching on that the felis whom had been helping them, Caccu was being taken.

Flicking her tail and hugging Vina, her eyes glimmered with purpose. She began to run for Caccu. Using her martial arts ability to increase her speed. Her feet finding root on the ground and pushing her forward, creating small foot-shaped dents and cracks under the snow. Her body appearing before the Assassins. A glint in her eye, "GIVE. HER. BACK."

At that moment in time, with her injuries at the back of her mind, Ilya was ready for whatever would happen next. Alongside her Pride she felt as though she could take on the whole world.

The King died almost pathetically as Cain brought down the reckoning on him. Kijin watched firsthand as the magical energies suffused themselves with the writhing body of their nemesis and he fell in a mighty slump, hardly the imposing figure he had been in life.

But the battle did not end with him. Beyond belief, in the realm of zealotry and grim dedication, these bandits existed with a will to complete the mission. Even after the death of their lord and master. It would have been admirable, if it weren't so disgustingly pathetic.

"They've adapted," Kijin observed. "They know we can't die, so they're starting to fight like their lives don't matter either. Its... it'd be ingenious if it weren't so damn nihilistic."

Whoever programmed this game had engineered some sociopathic AI.

They were wrong, though. Weren't they? Weren't the programs wrong in their observation, and didn't humans have a lust for life? Wasn't survival Paramount to most human beings? Or was it that the game had cheapened their value on life, and that the NPCs had observed something horrendous that even the players had yet to recognize?

Kijin was already weary after the game had overridden his senses and caused him to lash out at a friend. That it would do such twisted, awful things only drove him to a more passionate conclusion. "This isn't about the money," he grit his teeth as he threw himself toward the Hydromancers, chanting their vile rite. In a smear of black, the Swordsman was amongst them, swiping his blade like the Reaper's Scythe through their ranks.

In the shadows of his hood, two scarlet orbs gleamed.

Seraphy noticed a rather... unique soul... had just bloomed upon the battlefield. The second red one of the journey!

    "OH! NO! YOU! DON'T!!!!!!!!"

The elf spirit magus took off in a dead sprint. She was in perfect form as she ran between the arrows and explosions like a kitten playing John Mcclane in Die Hard. This was Seraphy operating on pure focused adrenaline. She simply blotted everything else out. Between rapid huffing breaths, Seraphy activated her Measure Soul.

To her rapidly bobbing vision, it looked like a feminine but explosive soul. Two sides of the same coin, and a coin one definitely didn't want to mess with. Seraphy leapt soaring through the air...

    "GOTCHA!"

Landing with the soul in her arms like a watermelon, she bent her knees and skidded through the snow looking to and fro.

    "And there's the body!!!"

Seraphy pivoted like she in the NBA, she didn't dribble soul, but she wasn't called on traveling because she made it in 3 steps. And when she got there...

    "COMMENCING SOUL SURGERY!!!"

She dunked the soul back into Nalla's chest. Wisps swarming, she got right to work creating bypasses in Nalla's flows of chakra, or life energy. It was a surprisingly clean flow for someone of her personality. Her mind and body were certainly as one.

"ATLAS SHRUGGED IS A TERRIBLE BOOK! READ MY ANTONIA INSTEAD!!!"

Seraphy didn't know where that outburst had come from. It may have been a mix of the psychic link and the sudden panicking stress. The girl kept working all the while. This was Seraphy in focus mode, nothing could shake her.

    "Link 1 to 2, 2 to 4, 4 to 8, 8 to 2, 4 to 1, 1 to 9, 9 to 2, 2 to 8, 8 to 9, 9 to 2! There! Nest formed! Cauterize the circuit!"

Three Fairy Wisps began orbiting over Nalla's body flashing a blue-green light. They were doing work only a spirit magus such as Seraphy could see. And that work just now finished.

"Life Surge Trio! Activating in intervals!!!!"

Seraphy nodded at her Fairy Wisps as they began to each charge for their respective bursts. The first pinged ready.

    "CLEAR!"

    ZAP

    "CLEAR!!"

    ZAP

    "CLEAR!!!"

    ZAP

    ...
    ..
    .

    "Live dang you!!!"

Seraphy lightly punched Nalla's stomach with all her might, her eyes were swirls from everything she had just done.

    "Live..." Pikon~

    "Live..." Pikon~

    "Live...!!!" Pikon~

“Hehehe, okay, just a bit more! I’m back! Hehehehe!”

After the entire ordeal with the pretender witch, Majolica had exhausted a good portion of her power blasting the ice witch with everything she had. As such, she needed a little break. As she rested, she noticed someone sneak behind the kitty commander and steal her.

“No! Ah… hehe, now I have to use everything I have left to save her. Hehehe! She’s going to owe me big time… hehe…”

But before Majolica could charge into action to save the kitten, four others made moves first. Apparently, saving kittens was, in fact, one of the duties of the Lions.

With the Bandit King defeated, Majolica surveyed the battleground. To the north, the remaining bandits looked about through, which left…

“Hehehe, stupid ice mages… hehehe making it all cold and hard to move! Hehehe, The Grand Witch has had enough of these dummy idiots! Hehehehe!”

With that, Majolica took off flying between, around, over, and under dueling lions and bandits to make it into range.

“Hehehe, you idiots want to play with magic! Hehehe, well here! Let me show some real magic! Hehehe, fall before the power of the future ruler of this world!"

Hopping off her broom, Majolica began chanting. She only had one shot and needed to make it count. As this was her last spell, she figured she might as well make it a memorable one.

“Hehehe, if it’s good enough to take down that dumb old ice witch, hehe, then it’s good enough to take out all of you! Hehehe!"

Holding her hat on her head to avoid it being blown off with her left hand, Majolica held out her right hand towards the hydromancers as it begun to gather shadowy black energy.

“Hehehe, fell the wrath of Grand Witch Majolica! Error Silly equals Error zero Error Xtreme Plumpy minus two Radical over Witchy Optometrist squared! Avada Cadabra!”

As before, the spell thrust forward blanketing the group in shadows and darkness. Completing the spell, Majolica fell to a knee breathing hard.

“Hehe… hehe… and I’m out again. Hehehe, I really need to, hehe, learn to store more energy… hehehe. This is fine for now though, hehehe… these other dummies can handle the rest, probably. Hehehe…”

It all happened so fast. The bandit king eventually fell but his subordinates carried on, even going so far as to capture their acting commander. This had to end. Alric had to do something.

He was still recovering from the onslaught from earlier and now to make matters worse the ground was breaking under his feet. After managing to pull himself together, he quickly moved in the direction of the hydromancers and traced a spell out as he closed the distance.

“Just hang on a little longer everyone…”

The mumbled words were likely lost among the chaos. With one quick motion he unsheathed his Oath Blade and finished his incantation, causing the metal to shine due to the spirit magic. The results went better than expected. His weapon cut through bone like it was paper and it cut through not only their bodies but their very souls. He wouldn't stop until there were none left standing.

A bitter laugh escaped Bradwynne's mouth as he entered the main arena. It was as if he was the common police in the action films, always showing up when it is late. First time it was the dining hall, now it was in this area where the bandit king himself stayed... and died against the onslaught of the roaring Pride. But he can't blame himself for not showing up on time as he was busy tending on the wounded from the dining hall up until here. In a sense, he was still doing something. Although they would not be mostly able to, he hoped some would appreciate it later.

The cold being more felt here in this area made him put the furry hood over his head again so that he could not feel it mostly slapping onto his face. Even with the demise of their King, his underlings still had not given way and they wanted to fight to the bitter end. What do they really intend to accomplish? Might this be really for a noble course just very badly twisted with thievery?

His boots kicking at the ground, Bradwynne aimed an attack towards the greater part of the group, also maybe those who were trying to deliver extreme cold in the area. He then quickly drew his katana and masterfully disarmed, in some cases, maimed, the casters who were then almost unscathed the entire time. They chose this life, now they had pay for it. There was no free lunch in anywhere in the universe.

Freja tried her best to recover from her pratfall. Tried. She did what she could to cover her nose with a free hand, only to have the Bandit King throw his axe and create a shockwave that sent her flying away like a toy and then run off. Bastard.

Luckily, other players seemed to have cut him down in short order. Not-so-luckily, the remnants of his forces, inspired by his inane shouting, kept on fighting the “good fight,” chanting water and ice magic, raining arrows, and attempting to kidnap the adventurers’ acting leader. All of it was happening so quickly, and yet, time was only seeming to slow from the adrenaline and the cold.

Freja was numb, and her breaths were drawn ragged, heaving. She was sure she was going to die, not from a beast or bandit king, but to the unquerable force that was nature itself. Pure hubris, thinking she could shrug it off. What little warmth of magic an ally had given her was fading fast. A sheet of white was beginning to cover her skin. Soon, it would turn black as the heart of night.

She looked over at the other camp’s mages with rage. They were responsible, for the cold, for the death of some of the adventurers, for getting in the way. Of what? It was too cold to remember, to think clearly. Only one thought was pervasive in her mind as some of the other players forced them to scatter, and retreated her way, a thought she made into words and would make action:

    “FUCK YOU! DIE! DIE!!!”

She was going to die, she was sure, but she wouldn’t die alone, or with an unsatisfying end. She roared and her axe shone in the light the snow reflected. They had already been routed, beaten, but the Monster Hunter cared little in her berserker rage. Blood splashed the snow. Bodies and pieces of bodies flew with each successive swing. What cries for mercy and desperate chants were to be made fell on deaf ears. Carnage had that effect, for all involved.
