    Beginner's Cave
img The cavern was fairly well known to anyone who cared for a quick way to learn the game right at the start. A tutorial Dungeon of sorts, all the way down to having the Mascot Trinity repeating what seemed like prerecorded manual instructions throughout the adventure. A place where new players go to practice combat and see what a dungeon feels like without putting their lives at much risk. The cave is also very close to Stokbon. Making it a easy to reach first place to explore.

Today Trinity was nowhere to be seen. In fact, she had not been running a Beginner's Cave tour in some time. That meant the cave was just a real simple little distraction for those who wanted a easy dungeon. Thus lots and lots of beginners came here. Often still without parties, or much if any mastery development, or knowledge about the world, or anything but one thing... being a noob, and needing help.

How long did it take for Tenebris to get this outfit? Finding the exact same one was difficult. But here she was, looking awfully dumb and Magi Heart like again. If not for her red eyes one would think she was somehow back to her old self... ew no. If they knew the truth they wouldn't probably like it though! The rose sticking out of her chest sure did not help her little plan either. Oh well, it'll be fine! If not then yay for that... failure was a great source of grief!

Practicing her facial expressions one last time to ensure she had as gentle a look as possible without twitching or throwing up. 'Magi' was ready to fill the role of tutorial girl for a little bit! Magi Heart was known for being a "Bringer/Defender of Love and Justice" and all that. So Tenebris could work with that to waste some time with this. Why? She did want to help poor people persons that were just starting out with their new... heh, lives.

Lives of suffering, torment, and grief. That's what this game was about... that's what it all was about she had realized. So now it was time to help spread the love! She needed to find her first trainee in the art of Terrasphereiness!

Tenebris dressed in the closest outfit she could find to the old pink and white version of her old persona, made her way a small distance into the cavern. It was such a lame place. The rocks gave off light on their own, the monsters were bats, slimes, the bottom of the heap and even a bit weaker than the same beasts encountered outside. Because of the extra fake atmosphere this place gave off. Tenebris really did not feel like indulging any save everything mentalities here for the lackluster 'enemies'. Instead she slapped a bat with a bow, or shot a arcane arrow through a slime. Just enough to get where she wanted to be. No need to hunt for them...

She was hunting for noobs. Or more like just one specific one to try out this idea. If it went well, maybe she would help more! Hiding around a sharp turn she waited pressing her back against the rock walls, a mischievous wide smile crossing her face. Only for her to quickly force it away to avoid ruining things. This place was just busy enough to have a visitor every hour or so if not more. So it would not take long!

  2. The small sound of pixelating clips seemed quiet in comparison to the rolling waves as Kanashimi spawned in a small grassy patch close to the ocean. It would be the second time that Kanashimi had logged in, this time around knowing quite a bit. Her experience a few days prior had been stumbling around and learning the basics of everything. The spurring voice of Trinity, Terrasphere's mascot had been her guide as she learned each new thing that happened in the world. It would not be long before she made her way through the ranks and become number one in the world. It had been one of the only times Kanashimi would ever hear Trinity's voice. The overly cheerful overlay that had taught her almost everything she knew.

The time in which it took Kanashimi to memorize her skill incantations being small as she spoke them continuously for hours on end. The only thing that kept her from her goal being the fact that she was in fact a new player. Unable to be all that powerful in her skills. The training that it would take for Kanashimi to become one of the strongest players in Terrasphere would take quite a bit of time and energy and Kana was ready for whatever shortcut that would help her. Even if it meant going against who she was and hiding behind the false front called 'cheerfulness'.. The sickening front that she had to hide behind her whole life.

The rumors that fighting monsters gave off experience and valuable training was true enough in itself as Kana had found out the first time she had logged in. Now having more time on her hands to get "dirtier". Fighting animals and beasts would be nothing like hurting people yet it would still hold gratification and practice. Hurting people was definitely something she would be looking forward to. The very thought set her iced frost blue lips to shift, her upper lip biting her lower lip. Her face flushing red as she imagined what it would be like. Her eyes glowing the eerie blue that matched the exact same shade of her lips. One hand grasping the side of her face. Her masochistic, psychotic nature taking hold of her body.

The fact of the matter being that no matter what it was, Kana enjoyed killing. She enjoyed pain. Torture, Murder, and Pain. All of these things being a part of Kana's own goals in becoming who she wanted to be in the real life. This game world giving her more courage than the real world would ever give her. As her arms returned to her sides, her feet began to move. Her destination seemingly to be the very location of the rumor that had been whispered in the grassy fields and cold breeze. The fact that there was a dungeon with monsters that were easy to kill for players with next to no skill, that seemed large in number. This was the chance for Kana to gain more experience in this world. Not one to rely merely on information that was spoken or read, Kana would always test out everything. Whether it be a new method to hurting things, or new places that would retrieve a faster way for her goal to become reality, Kana would do it.

The braids that looped around to the front of her ear, seemed slightly too still as she walked, only moving slightly. The same could kind of be said of her chest as it bounced up and down with slow movements.. Each step she took.

It seemed not long before the sight of the glowing stone walled cave stood in front of Kana, the entrance still brighter than caves should be. The sound of bat wings and the sound of squishing slime echoed through the cave, making its way to the entrance and befalling upon the listening ears of Kana. Unaware of the fact that around the corner there was another player, a small smirk was plastered on the same ice blue lips that had been biting down on each other earlier. The face still a shade of red, however much less noticeable. It would take observant eyes to catch the sight of the soft shade of pink. The sound of Kana walking seemed non-existent as she rounded the sharp corner. Her eyes picking through the cave as the stone walls shined, allowing a path to be seen.. Along with the figure of a short player of sorts.

Having not expected the situation that Kana found herself in, her face remained in the small smirk it had founded in. Forgetting about the false sense of cheerful behavior she had to keep up, until she could see the face of the figure. A rather short, red eyes girl stood in the dim light in front of Kana. Reminding Kana to produce the cheerful-like manner in which she took up for her whole life. A smile replacing the smirk that had been on her face. The color that had appeared on her cheeks returning to the milky white skin that laced across her whole body.

  3. img Looks like she was spotted. Kewl beans!

Tenebris gave the most sincere Magi smile she could offer. Her white and pink dress was startlingly contrasted by blood red eyes that were more akin something much less fluffy. It was pretty funny just how stupid people were. Tenebris never even went as far as to use Illusions to change her eye back to the innocent pink they once were, and yet... pfft. This was going to be fuuuun but she had to stay in character. It was so irritating to be freed from her old self only to have to continue to drag it back up and wear it as sheep's clothing. At least she was going to get something out of this and give this person something too!

    So much grief!

    "....uh."

This was awkward. Upon further inspection, this person was a bit... weird looking? Was it the eyes? Yep definitely the eyes! They were shiny and had weird glow to them. It reminded Tenebris of Count Red's to a small extent. Just much less red and they lacked slits for pupils. She wasn't a demon or vampire then... just some noob with glowing eyes. Kewl.... maybe? Tenebirs hated it when people tried to act like they were a big deal, or had aspirations for such. Did this woman mean to show that by making her avatar have those? Stupid dreamers... pfft. For a moment the two strangely eyed females would just stand there. If the noob would say something Tenebris could easily play off of it but the dark magical girl was already annoyed and just decided to go straight into it.

"Hehehehe! Hi! I'm Magi, are you new?"

That laugh was not Magi-ish enough. It was almost impossible to do that right but usually it worked fine. Walking up slowly with a gentle if a bit stiff wave of her white gloved hand. Tenebris did not see this person as a threat and closed a lot of space. Placing her hands on her hips and making a super hero pose she spoke with as much enthusiasm and friendliness she could muster. That was usually not always a lot since she was not enthusiastic about anything unless it was grief or saving someone. Nothing felt as good as saving another, unfortunately respawning kept that from being as horribly awesome as it should be.

"Bringer of Love! ... and Justice! For w-world peace! Do you need any help ❤?"

Gee whiz... how did she even get that said even with that much smoothness? It was terrible but maybe Tenebris was getting better at it, or.... shudder to think Magi still was in there somewhere for her to tap into? Wowzers no! The shorter girl looked up at the woman. Glossy red eyes tried to see if the woman was playing along. It was pretty easy to tell if someone did not believe her and it was not like this person met Magi prior. In fact, if anything, Tenebris was sabotaging her own success here by glaring so closely when her insanity was evident in her eyes most of all. Realizing this she quickly looked away and down the tunnel ahead gesturing a hand towards it.

"The game has a mascot that does this stuff, but I have a role as a heroine to play. Hehehe... I just want to help new people persons on their first adventures to show what the game is like from a experienced player's perspective. Something like that."

Turning back towards her but not gazing eye to eye anymore. Tenebris fondled her rose on her chest absentmindedly while continuing. Again making a mistake. As she had missed that Magi Heart would never have said people persons instead of just people. That was a uniquely Tenebris verbal quirk.

"So anyway, yeah! Wanna go on a kewl beans practice run with me? You never know what you might learn? I'll protect you... Heart promise ❤!"

  4. The laugh sounded in the cave... The awkward laugh giving off a rather strange vibe... Something is off about her... The wave that was exemplified by her white glove only added to the suspicions Kanashimi had of the girl who had revealed her name to be Magi. Without really dotting much on the caution, as Kana was in play with being an innocent girl.. Plus, the fact that despite her investigative personality, she found that her cautions often got cast to the side as she simply did not care who a person really was.

Such was the case, with the small girl before her. The girl with the red eyes, it was as if she were pretending to be someone she was not, much like Kana was. If she was, the two were in the same boat. If she was not, then the girl must be given a lot of grief for being who she is. Shrugging the matter to the side for entirety, Kana gave the girl a small smile. "I s-suppose you could call me new. I just spawned in today~" Keeping up with her own acting, Kana crossed her arms and tilted her body back and forth, showing someone who were shy, and innocent.

The eyes of Kanashimi glowed with innocence as she watched Magi stare back, watching her.. Is my acting not good enough? The small curiosity of whether or not she could see through her facade was growing higher as the other female seemed to observer her. The sick, red eyes just seemingly staring into her soul. If Kanashimi was anyone else she would feel worried, or threatened.. However, her own sick nature brought her to not care and act as if she did not know the staring had gotten intense on Magi's side. Rather, sticking to her role of helpless, innocent newbie.

"Heart promise❤!?" Kanashimi thus appeared to be overjoyed that Magi had promised to protect her. "What are we waiting for? Let's go! Teach me how to do things like you, Magi-Senpai~" The smile of Kana's face grew wider as she waiting for Magi to take the lead, once Magi would turn away (if she would), Kana's innocent expression would be replaced by a mischievous grin as her acting had played over quite nicely.

  5. img Oh? Senpai?! Wowzers this was going to be fun wasn't it? This person had a odd vibe to them Tenebris could tell. Yet exactly how odd was not yet apparent. What she did know was that this people person, whatever their name was, was going to get a very nice lesson!

"...Okies! Hehehe... *ahem*. Sorry I get really excited when I get to help someone."

Tenebris bowed down low and gestured extravagantly with both arms towards the path ahead. Her hair covering her face's sneer. There was going to be a fair degree of this sort of thing if she was going to get far with her ruse.

"Right this way person who never gave me their name! I hope it's not a name you're ashamed of or anything. I'm sure it's kewl beans like Heart or something hehehe."

Lifting her face back up now once again smiling as sweetly as possible. The mocking tone of her last few words may or may not have lingered. in the air. Tenebris quickly maneuvered behind the lady and almost started to push her down the tunnel.

'C'mon c'mon! Let's get going on a exciting tutorial tour!"

If everything went as planned. The white dressed Tenebris would describe the cave some, the monsters and so on. Just to get the proper atmosphere going. During which, she tried her best to not laugh as much. Her laugh was a give away and it had to stay as unheard as possible. If the lady asked questions, of course Tenebris would answer...

Finally, a small set of three bats approached. Oh how horribly awesome! Tenebris was finally going to have fun!

"Gee whiz, lookie there! It's a trio of bats! To fight you can either use simple mode or realistic mode.... uh.. yeah that's what you use I think?"

She was not entirely sure anymore. It had been so long since she fiddled with any of the options or settings in her extremely glitchy UI that she barely remembered some basics. She preferred to just treat it all as real and just go with it. She never was going to wake up anyway. Nor was she sure she wanted too.

    "Then you.... hehehe......."

Tenebris felt that urge again. The urge she had every time she saw something really easy to kill. Oh gosh, she was getting excited to save those little bats but she needed to focus on this person so..

"Select actions or just do them yourself. It depends on the mode! You should look over your menu and see if there are any kewl spells❤!"

Generating her obsidian black bow as she spoke, she pulled back a arcanamancy fuel arrow and waited in position. Tenebris then began to mutter a little. As the bats screeched loudly and swooped towards the frontal woman. The bats began to grow... They were now enormous and there wings beating throughout the tunnel.Yet, somehow they still fit...

"Oh noes, you better fight. This game is pretty hard forgot to tell you! Giant bats are normal in the Beginner's Cave and... they do a ton of damage! Don't want to lose my first tutorial partner!"

She fired her arrow directly at the woman's left arm. Not using too much mana. Just enough to land the blow just as the bat would make it's attack on someone hopeufully busy with their UI as she had 'advised'.

"That hurt right? What did I say? This place hurts pretty bad! I'll help, just let me charge up. It takes a while..."

Quickly pulling back another arrow she took several more steps back and started to mutter again. She was to see how long it takes for this noob to catch on. Tenebris could do this kind of thing for the whole trip if needed!

  6. The false feeling of innocence brought a sickening feeling to Kanashimi's stomach. Despite this she could not help but keep going. Once she started something she never stopped. Plus, it might prove to be something useful in her eyes.

    "Don't apologize~"

With the bow that Magi Heart gave her, Kanashimi followed the gesture. Upon hearing that she had never shared her name, Kanashimi shoved the retort she wanted to give and stuck with simply being apologetic. Yet she knew all too well that if the girl knew Japanese terms that she would know Kanashimi meant "sorrow". It would not mean too much, as she could easily play it off as her friend looked like she does now and that her friend died or something. Deciding to take the chance, Kanashimi spoke. "Oh noes! I am so sorry~ My name is Kanashimi~"

The cave seemed to be rather simple. The walls were practically the same and the shorter and younger girl was definitely pushing Kanashimi deeper into the cave. The same sense of suspicious aroused in Kana's gut. It lasted even as the three bats fluttered close to the two females.

Knowing the basics of combat from the day prior, Kana had no need to open her UI, despite the girl continuing to prod her to. The way that the bats grew larger made Kanashimi raise her eyebrows. I know for certain that there wouldn't be anything like that.. Right? I mean.. Even if it is a fantasy game? I played with my illusion magic before and it seemed to appear the same.. Perhaps the bats are equipped with illusion spells? The thoughts that swirled in her head along with the fact of her suspicions.. Thoughts began to connect.

Being splurged from her thoughts, she felt a prick that made her body surge foreword very slightly. The feeling seemed different than that of a hit from a bat... It seemed sharper.

The feeling of pain in her body brought about a sense of excitement. Her eyes looking downwards at the source of the ecstasy. With nothing present to tell her how the wound occurred her thoughts went two different ways. One being that the bats had attacked her. The other being that "Magi Heart" If that was even her name had attacked her. I thought I heard her muttering and the whiz of an arrow? Shaking the thoughts, Kanashimi focused on the task at hand. One hand lifted to the air as her lips parted. Words beginning to form form her mouth. The chant producing a whirlwind of magic.

The air surrounding the bats seemed to dive towards Kana as all the oxygen began to disappear from the area surrounding the bats. The fact that animals or monsters needed air to breath was sufficient as Kanashimi brought the bats to a point of asphyxiation. Slowly they began to stop flying. Their wings stopped moving as the three bats fell to the floor.. Entering a slumber.

Turning to "Magi Heart", Kanashimi smiled. "No need, I just took care of it." Now that the bats were asleep, Kanashimi dropped the spell. The oxygen returning to the area the bats had been in. Now with certainty that the bats had no illusion magic, her thoughts were certain of what Magi Heart had done. The bats were asleep, thus their illusion magic would disappear as well. Still act innocent until there is one hundred percent confirmation... Is Magi Heart even her name? The suspicions were not cast in her eyes, instead her eyes were cheery as a smile burst on her face. With a small muttering, electricity crackled in the air. It produced from her chest before shooting backwards towards the bats. Hitting their bodies and causing compulsions to take over them. "I don't think they will be moving for a while.."

Kanashimio's body skipped closer to Magi Heart. "How did I do, Magi-Senpai?!❤"

  7. img"G-Great! Yep! Perfecto!"

She made a OK with her hand as she smiled and titled her head slightly. That was fun but a bit fast. The shot did not have enough oomph to get any good responses from this person nor even give them any fun. They did not even look like they were in much pain and... she had a fairly brutal way of killing stuff for a person with such a... bleh, sweet personality. That was such a griefful death for those bats. They certainly felt just right before being saved!

Never mind for now. More tunnels to go.

"Sorry about that! I haven't been down here in a long time Kana-chan! Hehehe!"

Cringing at using those honorifics like Magi would have in this situation. She grabbed Kanashimi's hand tightly in her own and gestured onward. With her alarmingly black bow still in her other hand. She moved her fingers slightly and it dematerialized back into her inventory. Having a cursed bow like Gertrud hanging around too long might give a bad impression. Although the pain of merely holding it was such a thrill... oh well. Helping this people person was the priority.

They were about half way through when the sound of plops were heard all around them. Slimes!

"Okies! More baddies! Hehe, I'm gonna help this time! M-Magical Girl power boosts!"

Tenebris began to chant Fluch Der Liebe. Ensuring that her illusion magic hid her actual chant and replaced it with that of Magi's old one...

"Magical Pink Heart Power! We can't give up!"
"Magia power! Salving grief, curing pains, Love's going to smother you right into that light!"

Kanashimi would feel her health restoring from the previous damage and see herself getting buffs. Of course... she was actually getting health sap and her stats were being lowered by weakness. The pink glow that surrounded her was merely a illusion, as it was actually a purple mist that seeped into her body.

The four Green Slimes approached from all sides now. Tenebris let go of her vic.. uh, friend's hand and started to prepare another spell seemingly on the Slimes...

    @Kanashimi
