  1. Then simply work with Aalam and Lucia. I do hope you’ll keep your words in mind should us “weak fools” manage to succeed where your “great ice magic” cannot.

If your magic is as potent as you claim it is, Megan, then you will also be with the group whom cannot afford to be recognized. It seems as if this prisoner group will play host to our more novice members. Perhaps this is best. Our novice members would have had a better chance at being taken during a raid than any of our more established members.

Should everyone be in line, I believe we need to rough up our prisoners, change their clothing and equip them with the weapons they need to complete their job. Are we all in accord?

  3. Blank, your arrogance sounds almost exactly like someone else I know. Just instead of whatever you’re on about, it’s usually righteous dribble. Fortunately, thanks to him, I am especially good with dealing with people like you.

From my perspective, I don’t trust you. Plain and simple. Rather than lend yourself to a team, you are isolating yourself and coming up with grandiose ways for you to be the only hero of this mission. It’s disgusting.

That said, your plan has an absurd amount of holes. All I see from a legend like Zeus, selfless figure as he seems to be, is him swatting you like an annoying fly after your proposal and him urging his team to get us to the healers he no doubt brought on his trip. Why would he trust some clearly evil mage to even spare some prisoners? Why would I trust someone as callous as you with such matters? No, Zeus would simply kill you and be done with it, and carry us to what he believes is safety, ruining any opportunity as he separates us from him to find a healer.

Next time, put your arrogance last. Maybe you’ll make more sense then.

  4. A reply to Emil's post:

I assume to gain nothing. Unfortunately as it is for me, we are all pawns in a game. None of us are kings and none of us can move without being touched and dropped off where we please. We are sacrificed so that Kings can win. I won't be a sacrifice, and I make my own God damn rules. I will not be played like a chess piece. And I wont bow and scrape like some serf. Astorea is my home, MY kingdom and I won't let dogs and bandits get in the way of my future throne!

Astorea, my dear lady, belongs to one Astor Balthas. It is a land already owned, already claimed, and I very much doubt he will be abdicating the throne anytime soon.

If it’s all the same, your best bet is aligning with the Aristocracy to achieve your ultimate goals. They have the power, the clout, you want and yet, here, now, you will spit in their eye and turn your nose up. You will make an enemy that, should the heavens align correctly, and you find yourself upon the throne you wish, they will strip it from you within a fortnight.

However, as I said before, we have no other choice than to follow your lead. If my words have not swayed you, then speaking further on the matter is for naught.

  6. I remember the days when a job was just a job, it was nice quiet peaceful. You did your job, you went home and you had a drink. Good time.

Well, we might as well get on with it, Emil if you would be some kind as to keep her busy or possibly kill her if you can. The rest of you we have a duchess to kill if you want to salvage this job in any way.

  7. Current Events:

You can not hope to win this fight, @Aalam Abungu ! If you do not wish to have your head displaced from your body, you better surrender to me now! It is absolutely futile that you continue on like this when the numbers are greatly stacked against you. You say you have a job to do! How are you paid when you are nothing more than a corpse? You can't complete a job when you are six feet under! That goes for the lot of you as well! Heed my words, or I will not be the only one squashing you down like ants. There is a rumbling and tumbling coming down this corridor and you better hope you have your story straight to convince him otherwise that you are not the enemy! One last chance to surrender, so help me...I will have you put down on the ground kissing and licking my feet by the end of all this!

@Raid Master : to the Guide: If you have no intention of fighting me, then leave. Even a Goddess knows some amount of mercy. But remember my name, Vivian Cruz and her welcoming Mercy upon you. Because should I find you to be my enemy again down the road, I will not kill you...I will have you watch as I rip everything you love from this world.

@Vivian Cruz: Y-you crazy witch. I hope the gods smite you for your falseness and lies when you stand before their tribunal. Those who betray will get their just dessert in the end.

The bandit guide ran down the path toward the prison area, intending on hiding it out until the invasion is over. He needed to prioritize his lift, first and foremost. He never knew being a family man has cut down any ambition and desire for greatness he had had.

  9. @Lucia Mierz, after her post:

Look, at the end of the day this is just a game, right? You're taking this too seriously. I was just trying to have fun. We hardly got to know each other, and the game gave me a quest, so I came to do it. When presented with challenges in this quest, I tried to find ways to complete my task. I don't get what all the fuss about the Aristocracy or the people that run any of these kingdoms is all about.

I wasn't trying to fight. I was shot in the back as I ran away, screaming for my life. Some may look at it as cowardly, but I don't care. It doesn't help that I'm on realistic pain settings and all of this hurts like a bitch.

At this point, I'm about ready to just log off and call it a day so it doesn't hurt anymore. But knowing my luck I'll log back in and just get immediately eaten by ants next time I play. So whatever with your political bull, I just want to be done with it.

  10. Hmmm objective change, we kill the queen.

  11. @Endilix Takagi, in response:

I can sympathize, for that reason I've made as much of an effort to be as gentle as possible. You didn't ask for this, you just wanted to have fun, I didn't want to rob you of that, but the circumstances prevent me from enjoying in the fun like usual. I have close friends in the Pride who are precious to me and need Zeus, the player King is also my friend so I endeavor to protect his interests. I feel like we should all stick together, so I'm trying not to make this hard on you.

If it makes you feel better, this game is not linear, it is not monotonous, TS will surprise you. Just like there are multiple ways to succeed there are varying reactions to failure. I'd seen it before when I met one of the game's Religious Deities after dying in a Raid. I'd seen it again when we decided to turn on the Elves and take their fortress from them to make our own kingdom. The story can evolve if you have the desire to push for change.

At least, there's no reason you can't still have fun. At least, I know I'm having fun, even when I was burned by lava, or being clawed up by zombies, there was never a dull moment but... that might just be me. The excitement and challenge from becoming special... That was always much more fun despite the pain and hurt.

  12. Current Event 10:

Alright...Let's get one thing straight. Zeus is off limits. I might be poisoned and scorched, beaten and bruised, but I have enough energy and power to torch the lot of you should you decide to piss me off. Now, who wants to help save the Legend? And who wants to burn?

  13. img
I believe we have all agreed that we are going to save Zeus.

We must stop the bleeding. @Endilix Takagi , if you allow me to, I can tourniquet his arm and stop the bleeding there. I don’t have the energy to close the abdominal wound.

Honestly, with as much blood as he has lost, I do not know if it is possible to save him…

  14. @Emil Trevelyan I only have two hands, and I’m pretty sure I need both to staunch the bleeding from his abdomen. I pulled apart some of the prison rags to create strips and covers. Use those to make a tourniquet if you can.

And when the man has breathed his last then we can start saying we couldn’t save him. Until then, we at least try.

  15. img
Good idea. I have a few bits of my robe that aren’t…singed or dripping in goo, so I’ll combine them. It will be shoddy dressing, but something is better than nothing.

I can’t tell if anything got in his wounds, but let us hope not.

That crystallization on the ant reminds me of the crystals in the Zalra.
