Oh No... Not Box Puzzles! #1 While traveling around Stokbon doing your usual business. You would make a wrong turn and wind up in a danegrous looking back alley. Before you could decide to venture on or turn back. A door to the side catches your attention. It had a small mark of a ? on it. It also did not really look like a normal door so you pushed on it and to your surprise it opened easily. Within was a room filled with large heavy blocks. These were not stroage boxes nor crates or anything that held a semblance of real world use. No, they were the generic curse known as the box puzzle.... and you have stepped into one. A small sign set next to where you came in says: WELCOME TO BOX PUZZLE #1 THE REWARD TODAY IS A PRISM SHARD! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A NICE DAY! Solve the box puzzle, get through the room and nab the shard in the back (small box). You can only push these annoying boxes, not pull. You can walk through single column spaces. You may also push from a single column space. Anything less then a single column space is too thin to pass through. Example to get you started: BOX 12 can be pushed to the EAST once. It would then be unable to go further because of BOX 9 and 16. It would also be stuck because it cannot be pulled out. However if BOX 12 was pushed NORTH, it could be pushed for three columns worth of space before again becoming stuck. This Puzzle is SUPER EASY. First solver please post a 200 word minimum response and a ooc explanation of the puzzle solution. First come first serve! AVAILABLE SHARDS: 1
Alpha looked in amazement at the stacks of cubes that littered throughout the room. Since her time in Terrasphere, she had yet to encounter a puzzle like this one and, upon reading the short text on the welcoming sign, pledged herself head-first into solving this conundrum. Terry, Corn, and Luna were taking a break at a nearby inn in Stokbon and, as of thus, Alpha was on her lonesome for this particular challenge. She grinned haughtily, her eyes sparkling with excitement and her toes standing on the tips. "This is gonna be so fun!" she declared before immediately getting to work. She scanned the area around her before deftly testing out one of the boxes. It moved slightly from its position and, using her roguish abilities, Alpha quickly climbed up top one of the boxes and looked ahead. The blocks were countless and were spaced oddly between each other. The entrance was in sight and, although Alpha had the capability to simply hop over all of these obstacles and dash towards the exit, she chose not to out of a blossoming interest and her own pride. It would be like skipping to an epilogue after just reading the first chapter of a book; it'd be no fun to cheat like that. As she skimmed around, she finally cracked a self-assured grin as she bounced back down, landing effortlessly after surveying the immediate area. Without another word, she pushed one of the boxes to her right (upon entry) and began implementing her strategy. She would totally beat this puzzle if it was the last thing she did! OOC: Pushed [BOX 34] left. Pushed [BOX 25] left. Pushed [BOX 19] Left. Exited.
((OOC 15 right 1-2 spaces, 19 left 2 spaces 25 north all the way, 26 right all the way)) Dempsey started by having a look around, to make sure that this wasn't an ambush of any sort, as she was by her nature very cautions. Once it was apparent that there were no ghost or goblins hiding in the shadows, she set about solving the puzzle. After a moment of contemplation the answer came to her and she set about the task excitedly. She drew a mental map of the place in her mind and gave each of the blocks a number. From her starting position, she began by pushing box number fifteen all the way to the right as far as it would go, then box nineteen to the left until it couldn't go any further either. The scraping sound these things made as they slid across the floor made her hair stand on end, but she persisted. She got a good running start and threw her shoulder into box number 25, pushing it against the northern wall, then she paused to catch her breath and did the same for box number twenty six. She muttered to herself about how heavy these things were, but she was done. with this final box cleared, the path to the strange chest was open. She stooped and pried the lid open to claim her reward.
With great haste and an inordinate amount of mindlessly persistent coordination, Jack swooped in past Alphabet in order to claim his rightful prize. Considering how the prism shards were more of a birth right of the man, he’d obviously not let anyone else get in his way with regards to this particular set of items! After taking a moment to survey his surroundings, he’d nod once with comprehension before setting forth his plan of action. He’d begin shuffling the boxes around one by one while drawing out a mental diagram of his designated course. Though not exactly an easy task, he’d manage it in due time with enough diligence in effort as one box after another was relocated in a methodical manner. His hands continued to tremble however at the thought of someone else claiming his precious shards. No! They were something that ought to be for him and him alone! A look of playful disdain was made as he’d shove yet another box away to clear out his mentally drawn path. “IF IT’S THE LAST THING I DO I’M CLAIMING THIS PRISM SHARD ALPHABET! DON’T YOU OR TERRY TRY TO STOP ME!” With a final heave he’d shove the box out of the way and lunge for his prize. OOC: 15: 1 right 19: 2 left 25: 1 up 26: 2 right
