    Welcome to Terrasphere Radio!

This member-run podcast packs 30 minutes with everything you need to know:
    • Site events.
    • LFG and thread spotlights.
    • Member interviews.
    • Q & A sessions.
    • And more!
Every couple weeks, we'll be asking for your input on important topics, and questions for our Q & A. Be sure to check out this post for upcoming guests, topics, and questions for you to answer!

    For our next podcast...

Our guest will be @Skyswimsky! If you have any questions for our favorite German DM, please post them here!

We'll also be discussing writing itself, and how masteries play into storytelling on TS. If you'd like to weigh in on the matter, and possibly have your thoughts read on the podcast, answer the following question:

To what extent does your character's mastery levels affect your writing? For example, if your character has a novice mastery, do you go out of your way to write them failing, or struggling?

    Oo, oo, more stupid questions!
    1. What level of difficulty are you most interested in setting your events at?
    2. If you were a planet, which one would you be and why?
    3. Can you say the following words?
      1. Brewery
      2. Hierarchy
      3. Seigi
      4. Antidisestablishmentarianism
      5. Another random name from TS

I do take MP into account when writing. Personally, I tend to think of it like this:
    • 0 (beginner) to 199 (trained) is a newbie who fails a lot and is testing the mastery out to learn how stuff works.
    • 200 (proficient) to 999 (adept) is sorta average skill that can do some cool stuff.
    • 1000 (expert) to 2999 (master) is where you start to pull off a lot of the powerful skills you'd expect an end-game character to have.
    • ...and as far as Illustrious tier goes, I'd say same as above, but sentient legendary equipment starts finding you really attractive, and they're all like "Take me with yooooooou~" ...or something.
But ya know... that's just me.

  4. What exactly is a skyswimsky?

What's the origin of your handle.

As for the mastery question, I always enjoy seeing my characters struggle! Failure is the mother of plot development! Mastery doesn't really figure into the "power" i put into my characters except as a very loose benchmark. Things are rarely going to go their way without a lot of effort whether they're strong or not. XD

  5. All my questions are for Sky
    1. What was your favorite part/moment during The Lost Arcadia Dungeon
2.will there be a continuation of the Arcadia story line?
    3. What does E.P. stand for?
    4. Do you know what your next DM thing will be? Of so, can you tell us?
    Final question:
    5. Could you say Squirrel for us?

    1. how's life been going? for any one of you guys!
    2. for sky! okie dokie, you can have the power to breathe underwater or fly. which would u choose?
    3. wut're u planning 4 in ur dm career? like r u going pan's route to make an overarching antagonist, a seasonal storyline, a few stand-alone dungeons, or something? - for sky
    4. is water wet? - for everyoneeee
    and for the mastery question:

i mostly use it for creative purposes and i like to empathize skill > power level whenever i have alpha join something. it's boring if you always win because your numbers are higher; i like to make sure there's always some sort of struggle going on. maybe the enemy is way smarter or maybe she just keeps pulling spells out her butt and depletes all her energy before the battle even starts. mastery is important in events but it doesn't make you omnipotent or uber powerful or undefeatable

  7. I like to always win because my numbers are higher.

To answer the question about masteries and whether or not a character of mine struggles when they have lower numbers, my answer is that "It's like trying to stack bibles on whipped cream."

For Skyswimsky, a few questions I have are:
-How much GUTS does Seigi truly have, and how much is an act?
-What was the inspiration behind Lady Annette and Seigi? Of the two, which one is more natural to write and which one requires you to "put on a mask" so to speak and have to actually force yourself into their mindset? Assuming of course it isn't just natural to write them both.
-Dose a Chinese guy such as Cain's player who recently made out with a German girl like Annette mean that both are fluent in French? ; )
    -REDACTED
-You're in a room with a person you hate. Boy, do you really hate them! And you recently ate a bunch of peanut butter and need a glass of milk, but the only one around is being sipped at by that person you hate. What do you do? Explain your answer and show your math on the spare piece of paper provided.

  9. I got a few questions.

    1. For Sky, if you could pick anyone on TS to go for the next podcast, who would you sabotage to let the whole of TS know their wonderful voice?
    2. Is for the Masteries. How would you imagine someone failing at Harmonics magic?
    3. For masteries again. Why isn't there a mastery for explosives. There isn't any technological limitations holding the ability to make things EXPLODE with bombs.
    4. For Sky this time, what is the funniest dm thing you had to do for someone?
