    Beginner's Cave (Flashback - Early-Mid S1)

imgYep, stats suck, UI is complicated still, not much money either. Still, she wasn't totally beginner was she?

    Yeah probably.

Two pink eyes gazed at a dark and intimidating maw with a mix of fear and excitement. A hand clenched and teeth gritted. Even the pinkette's twintails seemed determined. Practice was a super serious thing!

"Beginners Cave... wowzers. I should have come here first then. Whoops!"

Magi Heart the Bringer of Love and Justice, in training, was standing at the entrance of the Beginner's Cave. A dungeon that the mascot of Terrasphere, Trinity used to give tutorials. Gee whiz, Magi never got one of those! It didn't look like she was around right now either.

Well, that would not stop her would it? Magi Heart has to go beat up the bad meanies and become a true heroine for everyone! Hiding in bushes and running from bloody mounds was not the fast track to that. Shooting cute little bunnies in the plains was also a total no. So, with her theme song playing in her head. Magi readied her Love Bringer and prepared to give herself a tutorial! Real heroes take initiative! Even if they were raised on mobile games!

"Look out creepy bats, nasty slimey's, and underwear snatching goblins! Magi Heart is coming to cure your evil hearts and make you say sorry!"

Spinning and attempting her magical girl pose that she was practicing daily. A salute to justice! She wobbled a little but nodded with approval. She just had to keep practicing! Magi also did not want to copy her favorites too much. She needed to be original!

Magi Heart headed into the cavern. Humming her theme song, still in development of course, all along the way!

  2. Tall grass and leaves rustled as she made her way through the greenery of Brisshal — howls in the distance made it clear just from what she was running from. From behind her a wolf leaped out of the leaves in an attempt to pin her down, but if something the fighter had at this point was experience dealing with situations like these. It’s not like the raven-haired girl was any veteran, no — she just happened to be running into them far more frequently, much to her dismay. She spun on her right heel and her left leg hit the leaping wolf with full force, sending it away with a painful whine.

She pressed on, stamina depleting with every heaved and quick step. Huan Xiang was no hunter however, and moving in forests was a bit tricky for someone who had no skills in the given mastery. Without noticing, the pugilist ended up awkwardly sliding down a slope, landing just in front of what appeared to be cave. It seemed familiar at first — perhaps she heard rumours of it from fellow players? Right now wasn’t the time to think about the details, because she could hear and see several wolves after her. She clicked her mouth and made a run for the cave, assuming a stance at the entrance.

Much to her surprise none of the wolves advanced. They roared and circled, but none of them dared approach the cave. Noticing that, Ju stood her ground, adamant on leaving her spot. Eventually, the beasts gave up and left the immediate area. “What now, wolves afraid of caves…?” She plopped down on the cavern ground. Ju had to wait a bit rather than leaving right away — the wolves were definitely still waiting somewhere outside. She gestured and opened her UI and tried accessing the logout option to no avail. The pugilist sighed, “Just when I was so close to Stokbon, too! Sleeping in a warm bed for once would be great, and now--- Huh?”

Ju could swear she heard something coming from inside the cave, something akin to a humming. Was there some kind of monster inside? She grimaced at the thought. “Well, shouldn’t hurt to check out. Can always kick nasty things anyways...” She sighed as she stood up and made her way further inside the cave. What she found out, however, was no monster — but a young pinkette striking a somewhat nostalgic, but nonetheless graceful pose. The girl's clothes and the pose made her remember the days back when her sister would force her to watch a certain anime genre.

Right hand rubbing her chin, she pondered what to do now. Well, maybe for one warn the young magical girl that this could be a dangerous place… “BOO!” by startling her, of course. Regardless of her response, Ju held back a stiff laugh. “Are you sure you should be here in this scary cave?” She approached with slow steps and hands up to show she meant no harm. “Well, whether there is something scary in this cave or not, there is a bunch of scary wolves outside, so there is not that much of a difference."

With her left hand resting on her hip, she continued, “So, are we punishing some evil monsters or?” Ju had many pressing concerns, but for now, she’d decide to indulge a bit in what this world had to offer.

  3. img It wasn't as dark as she thought it would be. The wall's of the cave had like, a glow to them that made it pretty easy to see where you were going. That was good too, cause Magi lacked a torch and was pretty sure her energy was not going to last if she had to walk around with a white magic light the whole trip. How would she even hold the light without holding her arrow and bow?

    It would be crazy hard!

Magi Heart had on her tutorial dungeon run, made it through a long hall and now was at a turn. She braced herself and reached for her small quiver of arrows on her back. Ready to fight whatever evil monsters might come around the bend. She already had been chased by a big ole boar and wasn't going to let some bad beastie get the drop on her here!

    "BOO!"

    "Wowzers!"

Magi jumped and dropped her bow on the ground. Running to grab it she spun around and hoped it wasn't going to be...

    Oh... whoops again.

It was a older looking black haired girl. Or maybe not too much older but definitely taller. She had scared her on purpose! That was not nice! What if... what if she had accidentally...? Better not to think about that. The girl was worried about her? Oh noes, Magi Heart was not supposed to be worried about. That was not how being a magical girl hero worked!

"Huh... me? *Giggle* no way! A Mahou Shoujo like me does not fear caves and the bad things that lie within! I'm... oh wait!"

The pinkette messed this up so much but this was another chance. Time to... oh punish? Yeah that's a good word to use! As long as it was not going to hurt them too bad. Curing one's heart should not be that painful as long as Magi can help it.

"I am the Bringer of Love and Justice! The Punisher of Bad Deeds! the Curer of Hearts! The Inspiration of Hope for all those Who Can't Help Themselves! The.. uh.... ummm... eeeh."

Yeah that was so long she actually ran out of stuff so, time to go right into the pose! There was no way she could lose to posing! It was just that there was little reason to do more than her salute but... this was someone who likely needed a tutorial if they were here, so Magi could be their hero then! Magi Sensei go!

Spin, arm wave, shape of a heart, cross ankles, cool hand gestures!

She immediately imagined in her head rainbow explosions for super perfecto success!

Cool beans, she was going to use this someday when she accomplishes something good! She hadn't yet but surely she would find success sooner or later! Almost toppling over to get out of her pose, Magi rubbed the back of her neck shyly. Most people find her stunts pretty silly so this girl might not be too into what Magi just did.

"And uh... wolves aren't scary. Nope. So, um... you want to go through this dungeon thingy with me right? As a heroine I will protect you if you are a beginner!"

Nodding harder than she probably should have. Magi pointed at the turn. offered a small fist pump of confidence in case it was needed. Partly for herself too. The idea of a pack of drooling wolves right outside was not something Magi Heart felt ready to tackle right now. It actually might be safer in the nicely lit cave really.

"Okay to the back we go!"

Yeah, she was still a beginner skill wise and all. So saying she could protect anyone was a stretch but, what if this was a day one person? They might be!
