There are many things that set Terrasphere apart from any other, similar games. Perhaps the most obvious is the full-dive, and the entirety with which the game consumes you, mind, body, and soul. You feel everything, be it pain from a blow, or the heart-wrenching emotions of a particularly good story-line. But you also feel in the more literal sense, the lush grass beneath your boots, the warmth of the midday sun, the gentle breeze against your cheeks.

Touch is not the only of the five senses that the game caters to. On the journey to the Westfall Estate, it easy to lose yourself in the vast, wild beauty of it all. The call of birds, the buzz of insects, and the gentle whisper of the wind through the leaves. The sweet perfume of flowers, growing stronger as you approach the property's well-maintained gardens. The elegant, three-story mansion, exuding pride in both its size and symmetry. And for the last? Those who find themselves driven by avarice above all else can practically taste the wealth that will soon be coming to them. At least, so long as the mission successful.

Ah, you have arrived! Excellent. Once everyone is here, we will meet on the porch. You are welcome to leave your mount in the stable - so far as I can tell, it is still safe from those blasted rats.

The man's weathered face twisted in pain, a grimace that suggested the stable was the only place safe from the pests. That would align with what the request had claimed - rats, everywhere. And if their preliminary meeting was to be held on the porch, rather than an interior location, that had to mean that the entire house was overrun. As he gazed up at the grand old building, rubbing at his neatly trimmed beard, there was a sort of longing in his deep-set blue eyes.

My name is Ralin, by the way. I am the head groundskeeper. If you find yourself with any questions, just ask.

That explained it, then. As head groundskeeper, he was responsible for the property's well-being. Did he blame himself for what was happening, or merely despair at the thought of his charge being threatened this way?

His jaw worked as he turned away, seemingly lost in thought. Perhaps this was your cue to explore the immediate area - stables, garden, and lily pad-dotted pond - and socialize with your soon-to-be vermin-vanquishing comrades.

You can RP freely in this introductory cycle. There is no rolling at this time. The rules can be found in the event hub thread, so please refer to that if you need a refresher. Word-limit is 100-500 words this cycle. If you have already made a status tracker, you can post in this thread. Questions? Feel free to drop me a line!

The next cycle will bring all players to the front porch for further instructions. You may move freely between the various locations (stables, garden, pond), and you do not need to specify where you are. Just do not stray too far!

  2. As Madison approached the manor, she didn't pay much attention to the stately appearance of the manor. She didn't mind the uniformly-kept lawn, the immaculately-trimmed hedges, the perfect garden.

She didn't care much for what might lie behind those wide oak doors that led inside. Nor did she think about what treasures she might find within, after she waded through knee-deep rat corpses. And for once in her life, she didn't even think about the books she might be able to pilfer from the estate's library--assuming they hadn't been chewed to shreds and covered in feces.

Nope. Instead, that goddamn Queen song was stuck in her head. And she had the entire journey from the Dunnstads Medical North campus to mull over lyrical changes.

    RATS
    AAAA-AAAAAAHHHH
    SAVIORS OF THE SEWERVERSE

Every time it wormed its way into her mind, she'd make this awful face like she was about to throw up. Her body would twist in actual, physical pain. One of the witch's weaknesses were puns; but song parodies were outright super-effective.

    RATS
    AAAA-AAAAAAHHHH
THEY'LL GNAW ON EVERYONE OF US

The worst part? Madison was definitely no Freddy Mercury. She couldn't hold a tune to save her life, and her ability to write lyrics was the most towering of dumpster fires and oh for fuck's sake that bassline--

    They'll swarm everyone of us
    Sicken everyone of us
We'll all die with a mighty cry
As they steal all of our pizza pie~~

...It needed a lot of work.

Madison made her way around the mansion, scoping for any obvious places that the vermin might have gotten in. She only made it about halfway around the side of the place when she decided to turn back; the road was long, she was sore from the ride, and for fuck's sake she needed a bit of rest. Getting back to the porch, she decided to sit on the front steps and wait for others who picked up the mission from various guildhouses and taverns around Falderen to arrive.

    RATS, AAA-AAAAAHHHH...

  3. Arriving at the mansion, Nikephoros allowed one of the stable boys to assist him in leading a horse to the stalls where the beasts were kept and kempt. Dismounting, he reached into a pocket and tossed the boy a rusted old key he'd picked up in a previous mission. It was just a junk item, worthless trash, but it made for a fantastic joke.
"Watch the coating, I just had it waxed. Don't go dinging it, and I clocked the mileage so don't even think about joyrides," he commanded the teenaged boy with a crisp voice of authority, before walking further into the stables where others appeared to be gathering. The non player character was left very confused, Nikephoros suppressing a smile at his own little nonsensical joke of comparing the horse to a car at the valet.

Seating himself upon some stacked hay bales, the man listened to Ralin introduce himself, then began to glance around at the others that were starting to appear. He plucked strands of straw from the hay bale, stuffing them slowly and almost absent mindedly up his sleeves for later use, then placed one between pursed lips and lounged there, patiently. Soon they'd get into the large fancy house, entering the Vestibule of Vermin in order to take on the Myriad of Malaria-riddled Mice. Or the Rabid Rats. Whatever.

He was unaware of Madison pacing the manor grounds, only to retire to the porch, serenading by her own insanity and an MST3K reel of greatest hits. Not unlike to the woman outside, he hummed his own merry ditty, though it was from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

    Oh, the pox, pox
    Plague and the pus
The plague and the pus for me
    Subject Zero and surgeon's table
    Diseased company
Pardon the ash... of the lower class...
Who we're burning out in the street
Black plague, bring out your dead, POOOOOOOX...
    With a capital P. O. X.
    The... pox.

  4. She'd walked. Why? Mostly because she didn't know how to ride a horse. Typical city girl, not knowing how to do it, but it was the same in most of her games. Either she could just teleport, or find a ride, or something or something or something. Special note went to jumping out of a C-130, a process that was both exhilarating and terrifying. However, none of those things really could compare to the full immersion Terrasphere offered. Being able to actually smell flowers, feel the breeze, hear the birds, and think it was all part of the real world? Nothing came close.

Walking up the footpath, a cold wind cut close to her, making her pop up her collar, the wind itself whipping her hair to the side and back as she moved. It almost seemed more like a dramatic breeze, except more annoying. Eventually, she'd have to invest in a hood or cloak or something to make sure she could avoid the wind. And being noticed quite so much. A hood could at least somewhat conceal her identity, which was a great idea considering how many people seemed to be out to betray her in recent days. Or just straight-up kill her. That had come up a few times as well.

Of course, she got there early-ish, enough to see Madison pacing about but others nowhere in sight. So of course the witch was the first person she approached, patting the hilt of her new blade. The lightning arced across the exposed metal of the scabbard, silver eyes flashing red as she offered a small wave. "You ready to murder things?"

  5. Vivian had arrived prior to most of the others. Her Chariot was parked (?) in the stable and the stable boy had no idea how it moved since the horse was invisible. Vivian had told the boy to take a great deal care of it, or much like the horse, would be swallowed up in whatever plane the creature made its home. For all intents and purposes, she said this as a museing to herself and to frighten the shit out of the kid.

While she was there, she had indeed noticed that there was no plague rats within. That was an interesting take on things as the Manor was said to be housed by the vermin. Her steely eyes wandered over to the boy and she looked at him with a precise glare, "Do they not appear here because you eat them?" She laughed, a weird joke for herself and then she walked out of the stable and clicked her fingers several times.

"Ralin, was it? Yes. I've noticed there are none of these plague rats in the stable. Why is that exactly? I haven't seen anything that would cause the little things to scamper off, unless they have a fear of horses. If you are unsure, perhaps it's the odor or something? Have any of the other neighbors had problems with rats or other vermin as well or is it just this particular Manor they have made their home in?"

Vivian was full of questions, while the others might have investigated the other areas, nothing seemed of interest to her besides the stable. "Has the Manor been blessed recently? Did you or your Lord open anything that should NOT have been opened?" More questions she would pelt the Grounds Keeper, important questions. Because if she could pinpoint a solution, she would have to spend less time stepping in shit and more time looting the house.

Of course...if things didn't go her way, well then...Burn it all to the ground.

  6. Keeping a good and lasting impression was a very important thing for business, and so Tetsunosuke was using the scooter right now for this mission. Normally he would just walk to his destination, as he did in his last hunting and killing quests, but this time it should be different. A wealthy person had issued a mission to rid all of the rats from his manor, and Tetsunosuke would rise up to the challenge. As he had always thought, a game set in the Middle Ages period would not be complete if a great number of rats would be seen in every area of the map, even in Stokbon. Well even in the Lightning Ironworks they had an intermittent rat problem once, but after experimenting with a lot of ways to get rid of the rats, they had completely disappeared from the area. This manor should be the same case as the Ironworks basement, and so Tetsunosuke was ready to rid the mansion the same way his company did with the basement, using tools and materials they had created for that purpose.

With the rat traps, rat poisons, and rat repellants at the ready within his inventory, he then set out to his destination, riding the scooter that was painted red in some sections, while keeping the silver in others, and the steam engine attached with a dust collector coated with iron and engraved with the Lightning Ironworks logo. Tetsunosuke himself was dressed differently, and from the display, with the small basket at the front of the scooter with some packages within it, and with no visible smoke emanating from the steam engine, the onlookers, if they were players, would ask themselves if there was a Girl Scout division in Dunnstads and they had started to move door to door and ask their occupants if they would buy cookies. But Tetsunosuke is a male, and he was not bringing cookies, but death to rats in the vicinity of the manor.

As he had reached the area, before he would park the scooter somewhere, while he was outside, he would sound the steam whistle, this time constructed in such a way that if he would turn the crank to activate the whistle, it would make high and low toned whistles, and collectively hearing the whistles, it was the common sound that could be attributed to Japanese gangsters in fictional adaptations. He then took a hollow cone, and then shouted through its narrow end as if he was using a megaphone, "Lightning Ironworks Pest Control Division!" before locking the scooter with chains to a post within the stables after extinguishing the coals, and then he moved through the stables and into the porch.

  7. RATS AAAAAAAAAAAAAH

The stupid parody hook sang in his ears once again, driving Vincent nuts for the umpteenth time that day. He didn't have a fancy horse, nor the money to buy a pony for that matter. He could barely afford gear in that regard, and was thus still using the same stuff he'd spawned with. So he'd walked, and what a walk it had been. He secretly wished this game had something like spotify integration, so he could have at least had some music to jam to while walking. Maybe some Hail Mary Mallon, some Run the Jewels, SOMETHING. Instead he was stuck with this stupid rats song. He wasn't sure where the idea had even come from, let alone how he'd managed to convert a solid chunk into awful puns.

Perhaps it was some form of Karmic justice really, for all of the poor defenseless rats he had been grinding on. The MP had been great, ish, yielding some new fancy glowing titles over the few masteries he had chosen to sink them into. It could almost bring a tear to his eye, if his wallet weren't so freaking low. Between drinks and E-food he'd squandered his "life's" fortune away on momentary pleasures, not even earning the real feeling of a full belly offline. So here he was, throwing down with more rats, plague rats to be precise.

Am I up to date on all my shots?

The manor/mansion/fancy house was infinitely more fancy than he had been expecting. It didn't look like the type of place you would expect to find rats that go squeak, it looked like the type of place you found rats that go "I don't think the poor are paying enough of my taxes." The garden was a pleasure to walk through though, probably because the inside of the mansion was going to be a literal ballroom blitz, but Vince tried to ignore that for once. Maybe this would be a fun trip, he'd make some new friends, stomp on some rats, and maybe even earn some sweet loot. As he got closer he managed to get the rundown on his party. His eyes scanned quickly, hoping, praying that maybe one of his acquaintances had shown up unknown to him, and he was going to go on a jolly rat stomping adventure with the giant, or maybe that Mags lady had brought her surely horse or.

    Oh look, Madison.

A smile crossed the young man's lips as he casually slid into the group, wordlessly waving to maddy before cracking his neck. First impressions were important, and if he opened his mouth now all that would come out would be

    RATS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  8. Walking had been their option, given that both her and @Lycia were fairly new to the game still. However Milah didn’t seem to mind it much, it gave them time to continue getting used to the game as well as admire how very realistic it all felt.

Sounds, scents, visuals, touch and taste... it was very easy to forget that this was just a game, and a very convenient escape from reality.

”Looks like quite the big place, huh? Fancy too...” Hazel eyes drifted lazily over the gardens as they followed the road, taking in the details and sights. ”Makes you wonder just how exactly they got a rat infestation large enough to require so many people huh?”

Already they could see a small crowd of others, probably players if Milah had to guess, milling about the area were and older and gruff man stood. Quietly her gaze turned to her sister again, making sure she was with her and hadn’t wandered off, before they approached the group.

Aside from the stables, which for some odd reason had avoided the rat infestation, it sounded like everything else was overrun with the little vermin’s at the moment.

  9. You know what Milah? Princesses should have a fancy place like this! It’s what our tribe would have wanted, don’t you think?

Lycia had been quiet during their trip to the estate. She was content to look around and smell the roses, as it were. Where they lived in the real world was rather drab and gloomy most of the time. It rained a lot too. The few flowers her mom had decided to try and keep often died within months of them being bought, so the house was devoid of any and all plant life…save for a few fake trees in the sun room. For Lycia, this was a feast for deprived eyes.

It was the stables that pulled her attention most, but she refrained from venturing near it. Milah seemed content to mill around here with the others so Lycia would stay near her. The little girl’s slender cat-ears perked toward the gruff old man whom said he was the groundskeeper. There was another woman whom was talking to him, someone that she was sure her mommy and daddy wouldn’t want her talking to. A lady of the night or something. They weren’t good people to socialize with, at least, that’s what Gramma said.

Lilac eyes turned toward the…uh…person wandering up towards the porch. Lycia had heard his loud announcement a moment before and immediately got excited.

Excuse me! she said, immediately snagging her sister’s hand and rushing up toward @Tetsunosuke . We are Princesses Lycia and Milah and we’re here to help with Pest Control! She puffed her chest out and placed her hands on her hips, trying to look important and grown up.

  10. He hobbled in like a haggard, ancient man, lagged behind the group for no discernable purpose. One of his arms rested out of his sleeve, lazily hung through the fold of his coat; and the other held the lengthy pipe to his lips, which puffed away thoughtfully at the herb that burned within.

Tendrils of gray roiled from his nostrils as he trespassed on the property, just out of earshot of the amassing group. His piercing gaze swept across them, considering, appraising, concluding.

He took one last, long hit and overturned the pipe, tapping the bottom to release the ashes, then dismissed the apparatus to his inventory.

As he threaded his arm slowly back into his sleeve, he managed to catch the tail end of the Groundskeeper's speech, and the barrage of questions from Vivian that followed.

The job was simple: the rats had to go.

"Just tell me where to go," the Swordsman drawled. "I'll take care of your problem."

  11. Haru was walking as he usually does. It's become of a habit for him to go everywhere on foot even though he was sure he could afford a horse more cooperative than the stag trodding at his side. He could have sword that Headwind was glaring at him from time to time. Maybe he didn't like the idea of stomping toxic rats?

Haru couldn't particularly say he found amusement from the job, either. They were just rats, weren't they? Surely he could ask some kind of militia from the town rather than call for some random adventures in the same place? He supposes that it would defeat the purpose of a quest in a game though.

He hadn't taken up the offer for payment, but for the walk. He had been informed that the manor was quite far out, and had taken the opportunity to have an excuse to get lost in the wilds again. Scenery was bliss to a man like him, and the exertion from walking this far brought only satisfaction. His musings were cut off as soon as he reached the manor.

He had politely declined allowing Headwind into the stable, instead letting him lounge on the grass next to where he stood at the moment. He wouldn't bring the deer inside of course, but if these rats were apparently so bad he would feel at ease knowing that any rats to escape outside would meet a very unpleasant end.

Haru took a look around him. Who would be his partners for today..? He spied a few familiar faces, idly waving to Madison and Eyas and even Kijin, who he hadn't really talked with but still recognised, before spotting Vince. He really should have seen this coming. "...So nice to see you, Vincent. I remember you telling me about your escapades with rats, but are you really intending on just killing rats?" The thought amused him for a moment, allowing him to relaxedly smile. It also left him blank on other topics to strike up. Where had that groundskeeper gone? This was kind of awkward.

  12. The Westfall Manor was about everything Alkaid expected on the outside, fitting her idea of what some rich person might use as a vacation home in the real world, albeit perhaps just a tad more exuberant. Lush greens only served to enhance a picturesque view of pink flowers, whose vibrant scents hung in the air in a manner that invitingly beckoned approach to the mansion. Which was why Alkaid had taken her sweet ass time walking there, fully intent on enjoying the view even as riders passed by horseback, carriage, and even a damned scooter.

And just like that? Immersion ruined. Crushed. Obliterated.

The silver lining was that, at the very least, the view of a red and silver scooter was marvellous in its own sense. Eschewing the pollutive aspect of Victorian steampunk in favor of an eco-friendly, smoke-less design, the machine reminded her more of a moped. And thus Alkaid suddenly felt like she was less an adventurer walking along in fantasy land in as much as she was a pedestrian on the side of the street, although thankfully a quick look at the rider reassured her of where she was when she noted that, in fact, the moped scooter’s rider might have suggested that someone sent for the wrong kind of trap for this job.

Regardless, the silver-haired seeress reached the stables not much later than anyone else, in the midst of musing something about people’s choices in character design and what kind of person may be interested in making it when the groundskeeper made his address. While most headed to the porch after a woman dressed like a witch began a series of pointed questions, Alkaid stuck around. After all, if the man had made himself open for questions, she wasn't about to waste a chance to add more to the bunch, see what she could glean from the conversation.

She idly brought out her deck, sending a few cards up into the air as she listened in. At first glance she might have seemed to be looking at the cards for their value in astrology, which to some degree was actually linked to her Astral Magic, but she was more fishing for some glimpse of the future from the magic itself. After Ralin finished answering Vivian's questions, though, Alkaid intended to pipe in.

"I also have a question or two. First, do you happen to have any maps of the grounds and blueprints of the estate? If they have overrun it that means they have found enough space to burrow or crawl into in the first place. Worse, they probably have means of escape. We need to know where they might try to run to."

"Also, when were the rats first sighted? And have they been seen burrowing outside of the interior?"

Okay, maybe she had three questions. But hopefully no one was counting.

In truth, she was just waiting to see how the other foot would drop. Maybe there was some crazy Dunmer nearby who loved the widdle rats in her basement. Although her own suspicions were possibly closer to the witch's, a fact she did little to conceal despite her line of questioning.

  13. When Aaron first entered the world of Terrasphere, it was an amazing feeling. A world where you could be whoever you wanted. Whenever he played MMOs, he always chose to play as a female. Like anyone would, he had spent hours trying to perfect his character. The result was a Yladian female that looked like a Zelda copycat. That is, if Zelda had somewhat larger than normal 'assets'. After spawning into Brisshal, Aaron, no. He was now called Tashei Presvyre. A suitable elf like name. He checked the clothing that he spawned with and found it was a decent set of clothing, afterwhich Tashei would set off on a hunt for quests to get armor and weaponry. It wouldn't do if he were to get killed instantly for wandering into a dangerous zone.

After hearing about a rather easy quest that involved exterminating rats, he immediately set off for the mansion in Dunnstads. Since he didn't have a horse or the money to buy one, looks like he had to walk. After walking for what seemed like 20 minutes or longer, Tashei arrived at the manor. Of course he approached the manor from the trees so he coild get a good read on things. One thing he noticed was that there were a lot of people there and by the looks of them they were veterans. Except for one or two newbies like he was. Well, this wasn't good. As one might notice, Tashei wasn't a people person per se. He preferred to keep to himself. But that's why he got into Terrasphere in the first place. Not only is it a great new fantasy game to play, but it also served as a social experiment for him. To see how he could break out of his shell and actually make friends and get to know other people. He just didn't expect that many people though. There were at least 11 of them. Well, there's no backing out now.

Time to cheer up and burn down some rats. Tashei left the relative safety of the trees and went down the pathway leading to the manor's front entrance where the landlord stood. He caught the tail end of what the man said and a couple of player's questions. He made sure the hood part of his outfit was up before making himself known. "Hello? Name's Tashei Presvyre. I came by to see what I can do about the rats." He grimaced inwardly. He wasn't exactly shy, he just isn't used to talking to people. Well, let's where this leads.

  14. If there was anyone who could appreciate the refined, symmetrical architecture of the grand mansion, it was the art prodigy with a slight OCD-like symmetry obsession. Each wing of the building was a perfect mirror of the other, be it the number of windows, the length and height of the walls, or even the pattern of the stone bricks. Along with the surrounding garden, filled with intricately trimmed hedge sculptures, the house was almost as though it had been pulled out of Yukisa’s dreams and made into a reality… a virtual reality, anyway.

Admittedly, when Yuki was approached by a courier carrying a sealed letter, he was certain there had been some sort of confusion. He was a noob, his friend’s list as barren as a wasteland, so he definitely did not have enough reputation to be receiving a fancy message from someone rich or noble. Yet lo and behold, his attempts to convince the courier that he had the wrong guy were met with a “But you are Yukisa, are you not?”

Even now, as he stood before the head groundskeeper of Westfall Manor, he was still convinced someone had made a typo and someone called Lukisa or Yugisa were supposed to be there in his place, however there was no turning back at this point. He did his best to make sense of the situation: perhaps he had been recommended by someone else whom he completed a quest for. Mrs Prila, or Aida’s mother. Both of them seemed to be of high standing within Stokbon, which could easily mean they had connections to this Nigel Westfall.

Either way, here he was, along with several others, about to enter a mansion overridden by rats in hopes of exterminating the vermin. Hopefully one of the people in this group had some experience with such things, because the most extermination work Yukisa had ever done was setting up a cage trap in his kitchen (which ended with his arm getting stuck inside). Though, despite his lack of knowledge in that area, he was still fairly certain that his spear wasn’t exactly efficient in dispatching small pests… unless they were trying to make shish kebabs.

And now that he thought about it, they were about to kill a lot of animals, since his original idea of catching them didn’t seem to be possible with so many. Even if they were disease-ridden rats, there was still a pang in his heart from imagining all those tiny rodent corpses piled on the floor...

Not wanting to guilt trip himself any further, the youth turned and stepped towards the nearby pond. It’s still waters and the koi that lazily swam about within calmed him, and his mind quickly drifted off of the bitter subject of death.

Once he managed to relax a little, he turned to look behind him, back at the group which had gathered. There were definitely some… personalities around. One of them used a cone as a megaphone, screaming “Lightning Ironworks Pest Control Division” into it. Another was singing their lungs out to some weird song about rats.

A soft smile made its way to Yukisa’s face as he watched.

‘This is a great chance to meet some new friends!’ he thought excitedly.

The man blinked once, twice, in rapid succession. Though he had offered to answer questions, he had clearly not intended to actually field any. Let alone half a dozen. He sucked in a breath, organizing the queries in his head before providing answers to @Vivian Cruz.

Not sure why there are no rats in the stable. My son and I are the only who stayed back - he's the one working the stable - and neither of us have seen one there. Could be the smell, I suppose. But the carriage house over there smells like horses too, and it's overrun. No neighbors within twenty miles of here. Don't know what Mister Westfall has opened, but I do know there were no blessings. Someone would tell me about that.

Had he forgotten anything? His mind was so muddled that it was hard to keep things straight. But he offered a thin-lipped smile anyway, and then turned to the other woman, @Alkaid Zexis.

No official maps, sorry. But I did jot down a rough layout that I can give you. Rats first showed up about four days ago, all of them, at once. For two days, Mister Westfall's men tried to get them out. No luck, so they all left, and he invited you lot out. And yup, they're outside and in.

He heaved a heavy sigh, his broad shoulders slumping beneath the weight of his troubles. Then he shook his head, climbed a few steps to the porch, and turned to address the entire group.

Thank you all for coming. I will be letting you in soon, but I wanted to caution you. This entire estate means quite a lot to Mister Westfall. Please do your best to keep your methods as mild as possible, and avoid destruction. There are some priceless artifacts inside. The rooms upstairs seem to be the most overrun, so I would encourage you to only send your most experienced there. Good luck.

With the last words, he began to distribute hastily drawn maps of the interior. Then, when his pile of papers was gone, he swung open the double doors. A blast of hot air carried an acrid stench, the sound of skittering claws on marble, and an odd sense of unease.

    General Information
    • Word limit for this cycle is between 100-500 words.
    • Each person can help clear one room this cycle.
    • The minimum number of individuals needed to clear a room of rats is listed below. Though more can help, that minimum must be met.
    • To clear a room, players must work together to orchestrate a plan. Use your masteries and vocations, and anything that the room has to offer.
    • For example, to clear a barn, you might have a beast tamer calm the animals, a geomancer create a trench to guide the rats out, and a hydromancer to flood the trenches and move them along.
    • The more creative you are, the better chance you have of success.
    • Remember: Avoid causing too much damage! Do not simply set the room on fire, regardless of how much you hate rats.
    • Each player must play a role in clearing the room. Their contribution must be evident - they cannot stand and watch.
    • There are no rolls. Make your post, and find out if you were successful with the next cycle.
    • Use the communication thread, PM, or Discord to team up with your comrades, and create your plan!

Place this code at the top of your post! Replace the pound signs with how many players are needed to clear a room, and which one you are. So if you are the first of three, you would write "1/3."

    Westfall Manor

    Kitchen
A long room with a low ceiling. There is little room to move about, as the space is filled with cupboards and counters. The metal cookware that dangles from the racks clinks like pleasant windchimes with the slightest breeze. Jars filled with exotic spices in all colors are arranged in precise order.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Gym
A wide room with few windows. A hoop hangs from the wall on either end, and a variety of balls are piled in one corner. Free-weights, ranging from five pounds to fifty pounds each, are arranged in on a rack. Lines, in various colors, are drawn across the hardwood floor.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Laboratory
A small room, with a slanted ceiling, tucked beneath the grand staircase. It has no windows, and one door. Glass vials filled with numerous chemicals are housed on shelves. A long table occupies the far wall, with an ornate, complicated chemistry set spread across it.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Grotto
A one-of-a-kind addition to Westfall Manor. The small room is designed to mimic a grotto, with real rock lining the floor, ceiling, and walls. Veins of multi-colored crystal shimmer from the rockface with the help of magic. Everything is damp, and has a very earthy smell. A small pool, big enough for three or four people, rests in the middle.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Dining Hall
A massive room, used to host fancy dinners and frivolous galas. A sturdy wooden table, long enough to seat forty people, stands in the middle of an easily-converted dance floor. It is set for as many people, with plates, cutlery, and glass drinkware. Ornate tapestries hang from the walls, and a collection of musical instruments wait in the corner.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Workshop
Much of Nigel Westfall’s wealth comes from the technological advancements of his many companies. His workshop is littered with half-completed projects, metal husks waiting to be brought to life. A myriad of tools hang from the wall, and blueprints for… something… are spread across the table.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Armory
Suits of armor frame the doorway, both on the inside, and the outside. Weapons of all shapes and sizes rest on wall-hooks, and a mat covers much of the floor. Twin punching bags hang in two of the corners.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Menagerie
One of the largest rooms in the house, and Nigel’s pride and joy. Exotic animals from all over Terrasphere are housed here, in small, decorated enclosures. Everything from mountain tigers to brightly-colored birds can be found in the man’s personal zoo.
Requires at least two people to clear.
    Rooftop Garden
Glass ceiling and exterior walls bring in as much sunlight as possible, and bring life to Nigel’s collection of exotic plants. The smell is overpowering, intoxicating, and the space stays warm year-round. The plants are arranged in an organized way, though meant to mimic nature’s chaos, and a multi-tiered fountain bubbles joyfully.
Requires at least three people to clear.

    Library
Skylights brighten the room, decorated in colors similar to those in the recreation room. The thick carpet and dark colors create a snug, homely atmosphere, accented by a crackling fireplace and overstuffed armchairs. The walls are lined, floor to ceiling, with shelves of books.
Requires at least three people to clear.

    Recreation Room
A cozy room with forest green wallpaper and lush carpet. The heads of dangerous animals are proudly displayed along the walls alongside two dartboards. A pool table with rich crimson velvet sits in the center.
Requires at least three people to clear.

    Master Bedroom
Where the man himself sleeps. A large room with surprisingly modern decor, filled with sleek statues of women. There is a king-sized bed draped in white and gray blankets. There is also a writing desk, a dresser, a wardrobe, and shelves containing priceless artistic treasures.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Servant’s Quarters
A simple room, without decoration, or anything else that might make it unique. It holds three bunk-beds, with space enough for the cooks and housekeepers (those who work outside sleep above the carriage house). There are also six plain trunks along the wall, for personal belongings.
Requires at least two people to clear.

    Storage Closet
There is nothing but rats in this room… right?
