  2. Beatle felt a sudden, overbearing sense of demise wash over him like a tidal wave. He knew in his gut that he wasn't about to survive whatever was coming their way. He knew that it could very well be the end of this entire encounter, and if his theory was correct, his very life. Just as all hope seemed lost, Beatle remembered the strange coin that he'd received from the room before. A desperate gamble, sure, but if it meant survival, it would be worth it.

Beatle reached into his bag and took out the coin. He closed his eyes and breathed a silent prayer to whatever being watched over a game world (I guess those would be the administrators/moderators?), then flipped the coin as high into the air as he could.

  3. The feeling of his wounds being closed brought no relief to Roland as he charged forward in the water. He knew the attack was doomed to fail, the only redeeming factor was that he could at least distract the dragon a moment and spare Ortix the time he needed to get the key. The beast opened with a volley of a giant tail flung in Roland’s direction before he could even reach it. Swiftly he thrust his copper blade to meet the monster’s appendage hoping to derail it, only for it to crack under the beast’s might sending a portion of it flying and leaving the hilt to disintegrate in Roland’s hand. Vainly he moved a step forward and slashed his sword, aptly named Second Chance, at the leviathan but the blade merely skid off of its scales doing no damage. Next came what Roland feared, the fierce counter attack, as the beast suddenly charged him jaws agape.

During the brief struggle Roland was unsure what really happened as he merely tried to defend against the creature’s razor sharp teeth. All he knew is that by the time the creature had backed away each of his limbs were covered in deep gashes that quickly turned the water’s color red. Exhausted from trying to endure the attack Roland looked up at the bright light above him as he struggled to identify its cause. He noticed that it was the monster itself glowing above too late to do anything more than curl up in a defensive position and guard himself against the cascade of death that rained from above, hoping in vain that the attack would simply miss.

  4. The attempt to heal was successful! At least at first... It would seem that leviathan was not going to allow people to just cast spells freely, especially with Magi Heart's allies being... not very effective in this fight. The monster was far beyond what one would expect to find in a dungeon at this stage. Which meant this was a cruel joke from the game creators or this unfortunate team had decided to wander into something they definitely should not have. Wendy's body would slam hard after the quick attack of the sea lord.

    "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Magi Heart was certainly not performing well here at all. Her life was on the verge of flashing before her eyes but she still had a chance! Standing up with some trouble and panting. She realized that this battle was impossible for her. She was scared and uncertain what to do. She had no experience with and not expected her allies to be unable to protect her. So... this was true battle? Magi Heart would have to find a solution to this somehow. Looking up at the creature. She saw that it had blocked the entry point and was unleashing what was probably... a super attack. Oh gee wiz.... This was bad... really, really bad!

She crossed her arms in front of her and began to repeat the mantra and little theme song that she had been constructing for the character. She really did not what else to do. She was out of options. She prayed that everyone else was going to be okay.

  5. Ortix flailed his arms madly until he felt the key in his hand. Water splashed into his face and eyes but he was on a strict time limit. The longer he waited, the more likely it was the his teammates and himself would be slain by the Leviathan. Just before his eyes locked on the door ahead of him, he eyed a yellow piece of paper and snatched it from the top of the water as well. Having achieved his first goal, he darted towards the door swimming with all his might. When he neared it, the Leviathan seemed to take special notice of him. It jetted backwards, blocking the door and Ortix's path. Ortix stopped with an attempt to get some words and warnings out but the water choked them back down. He watched the beast reel back while drawing something up from deep within. A globule of something foul sat atop the Leviathans tongue, as if trying to tell the party that their time in the dungeon will soon come to an end. It suddenly erupted all at once, glowing fluid rained upon the party. Ortix submerged himself and dove downwards to avoid the attack only able to pray it wouldn't follow him under.

    Part One

You awaken with a dazed mind, the previous conflict and puzzles lost in the depths of your memory. A vague sense of nostalgia fills you as you awake, laying down on the grassy earth below. There are no injuries and, upon sitting up and observing the area, it seems that the ruins had been untouched. A transparent screen lingers above the rune door, inscribed with the words:

    "Part One: Complete."

You do not understand what it means or what had happened. The last you remember was not being prone on the ground, surrounded by several others that you cannot recognize. If you check your user interface, you would notice that there has been several changes to your inventory, but nothing much. Strangely, some of you happened to look hapless and exhausted, as if they'd gone through death's door. On a few of you, you would notice a strange status ailment marking itself as [ENLIGHTENED] whilst others would find nothing of interest.

This tale would be continued another day and the mystery would be solved far, far in the future. Somewhere, a cat laughs.
