    The Summoning

After the correspondence with the young woman from Tertoria, Astor prepared to carry out the plan he had mentioned. It was his job as the king to assemble the player adventurers and prepare an attack on the threat that sits in between their nations. Although he had considered leaving the massive monster in the canyon as a safeguard in case Tertoria invades them.

As he juggled the thought in his mind, however, Astor quickly realized upon looking at the map that leaving Titanius alive is a bigger detriment to his country than using it as a gatekeeper. According to the reports he had received, the Titanius has been plaguing the western area, making exploration and territory expansion difficult. Given that Astorea was once a part of Falderen, it made sense as to why they did not want to expand westward.

After he finished reflecting on the situation at hand, Astor worked on the details of his plans with Cessia, who would carry out the bulk of the paperwork as it was her job. With a clear vision of what he wanted to do the blond opened his palm menu and tapped on the messaging button before he put together a voice message that he would send to all the players in the country.

    Voice mail

Greetings adventurers, this is King Astor formally requesting for your help in the upcoming attack on a gargantuan threat. This pestilence is called Titanius, which, according to the heroes from Tertoria, is an ancient evil that has long since establish itself as the predator that feast on travelers and the common people who settle near it.

It seems to be active recently and has been tainting the western part of our country and shows no sign of stopping, if we do not work with Tertoria to vanquish it now, it will threaten to seize our land as its own.

If you are a countryman or an ally of Astorea, I beseech you to join me in an attack on this vile monster in the upcoming week.

While it is a good idea to head to Duke @Roland Rutledge's territory as soon as you are able, there are work to be done at the capital too. If you have time, help the evacuees settle in Vintergard if you can, Cessia will be leading that effort. Meanwhile, I will be negotiating with Astorea’s other alliances for the upcoming battle.

    Astor out.

Once he sent his voice message, Astor began working on physical letters that he planned on sending to a number of allies Astorea has acquired over time. Though, it took him many hours before he was able to put together drafts that he his writing aide approve. For now, the young king needed to spend a lot more time perfecting the rhetoric of his world if he wanted to become a diplomatic powerhouse.

    Letter

Zeus, it has been a while, I hope your arm is healing properly. While I regret that you had lost something so dear to you, I must ask you to return my favor by participating in the upcoming attack on a giant monster that threaten to harm the innocent.

Will you and the Pride answer my call?

The letter was short and to the point, exactly something Zeus would be able to read in one second and reply with a resounding yes when he received the letter. Afterward, Zeus hopped up from his bed and ran around the Pride’s tavern with his bloody stub still heavily bandaged, ignoring the intense pain that resulted from the lack of money for a proper painkiller.

It is TIME, cubs. Prepare to earn HONOR and GLORY from punching a large MONSTER! OHO!

The request he received from Astor was exactly the medicine needed to cure his boredom. Finally, the King recognized him and his faction for their worth, it was time the world calls upon heroes to save them. Of course, Zeus was ecstatic, though he was flailing around so much that his wound began bleeding again, which made the nurses in charge of taking care of him to chase the large man as he ran around like a maniac.

    Letter

    Greetings Queen of Falderen,

I hope you have been well on that throne of yours. So the time has come where I need your help to defeat a common enemy in the west…

The letter went on to detail the situation in full. When the recently crowned Queen of Falderen, @D'vangelline Falder received the letter, her mouth formed a soft smile as he turned to her attendants and spoke in a light voice.

Fina, get my horse and my riders ready, I need to take a trip to Astorea. It seems someone is cashing in their favor extra early.

Astor also sent a letter to the head of the Ygnlar Brotherhood. The receiver was an elderly woman with dark skin and white hair who was sitting on a recliner in a room that resembled a library. The woman was slicing an apple with her knife as she read the letter Astor had worked so hard on, which was levitating in thin air. Although it wasn’t a particularly long letter, it took her a while to read through it. She appeared to be tearing the king’s terrible grammar and vocabulary apart with a red pen in between peeling her apple.

Mm… what a world we live in today where the king of a country cannot even write properly. I wonder if it is time I meet the boy with the toy crown.

Another figure who has been standing near the woman spoke up, relieving themselves from obscurity. “Ma’am, is it really such a good idea to get in contact with the adventurers after all this time? What is wrong with the relationship we have maintained with them up until now? I don’t think it is such a good idea.”

Oh my, such frankness, your words sure bite like a venomous serpent despite your cute face. Hehe, don’t worry about that, dear girl. The world is changing fast, if we don’t keep up with it, we will get left behind in irrelevancy. Now, how about finishing those apples for me, food should never be wasted.

The figure sweat profusely, “Ma’am… you should really eat your daily servings of fruit rather than making apple bunnies out of them…”

    Ohoho...

Message received. Have any locations been decided yet?

We are currently assemling our forces for a briefing outside of Roland's place. I will personally be heading there soon, though that won't be for a bit as I have to meet up with the Falderen Queen first.

If you know anyone who's willing to help out, can you point them there? Not all players can recieve my message so... we need as many people as we can muster.

Your call is heeded and noted, your grace.

It is an honor and a privilege to receive this missive from you, to be considered by your grace for such a gargantuan task. Rest assured that you will have my skills at your disposal when the time comes. Most would consider me an expert in the art of illusions, proficient in the science of tinkering, specifically with alchemy, proficient in the art of summoning, and of course, also proficient with a hammer.

My only concern is the possibility of your grace allowing my humble curry house to also feed and nurture the evacuees settling in Vintergard. That is, if, by your grace, it would be possible, of course, and with your honorable and prestigious blessing.

    A curry house? Uuuuh, okay?

I'm not sure if that's something native Astorean may be used to, but you can go ahead and feed them if you want.

Thank you, your most gracious grace. Our curry is the best in all of the kingdoms. Your esteemed grace and your equally, somewhat, esteemed people will find it suitable, not to mention wonderful, for their esteemed palate. Again, thank you for this wonderful opportunity. Regrets will not be had...your most gracious grace.

It's always something with you, huh? Magnet for disaster. Time away from Terrasphere and her territories has left me, the hounds, and my longbow thirsting for a good fight though. What kind of hunter would I be if I didn't show.

You leaving the throne for this fight? If not, I assume it'll be Rutledge I'll meet on the field leading a charge headfirst into this thing's teeth.

Either way... an ancient evil. Sounds big. And bad. I'm in, @Astor Balthas.

Also, I know I've been absent for a bit and we aren't exactly the closest of allies here, but... have you learned anything more about what went down in the throne room? It just. Weighs on me still. Whatever it was. I'd appreciate being kept in the loop in regards to that, though I know information is a hell of a power in your position these days.

I'm aware of the threat and shall join the fight when I'm able. That might take a bit since I'm still busy training, but hopefully that will be finished soon and then I'll give it everything I've got.

A threat to the land? Might be a good time to study the beast up close to prevent it from returning again. I shall be there to help any way I can.

    @Gwyn ap Herne

That throne room situation is... complicated... Half of king Theo's cabinet actually arranged for the circumstances that allowed us to get all the way to Theo and getting to fight him while he was unattended.

I don't really know much about it other than the fact that that cabinet is now in power and support the new queen, @D'vangelline Falder fully. Either way, we players are caught in a really nasty political turmoil in that country.

I believe a monarchy is bound to steer us down that path, maybe I can right a wrong at some point in the future.

    Welcome back though.
