    Ice-bound Secret

Before you stands a massive rocky protrusion erecting from the ground. It seems to be the mouth to a deep underground cavern. Although you can see a stone door at the entrance, it and the entire rock formation seems to be trapped inside a massive ice block far too cold to touch. When you take a step back, you can see a sickening blue radiance emitting from the ice. At first glance, you know for sure that this icy confine is magical and man-made, someone had intentionally sealed this place, but for what reason, you don’t know.

Getting through: Currently, you cannot get through, you will need at least Adept level of Pyromancy to melt this ice, or to cancel its effect through the same level of Hydromancy.

What is this? This is an explorable landmark that you must meet the requirement to proceed. Come back once you or someone accompanying you has met the requirement.

  2. Jesus Christ was it cold in this neck of the woods. Noah walked through the snow covered grounds leaving semi-shallow footsteps in his wake. He heard from an NPC in town that there was some cool creatures out here and some unexplored regions. Perhaps if he explored this region he could come across some rare items or materials and be uber rich off the bat. Pipeline dream, yea, but somebody has to discover it might as well be him. The leather that covered his body was thin and not warm at all, he really needed to work on his leather crafting so that he could make some nice thick winter gear, also some protective ones would be nice as well. Though that could happen on this trip, he might find the pelt of some rare bare that has the ability to block all damage of X magic, or gives him a boost at XYZ. The sky was the limit when it came to this game.

As he broke from the tree line he walked right up to a massive stone structure that was giving off some cold and spooky auras. “Well this seems a bit suspicious…” He walked up to the frozen stone and placed his hand on the ice. It was definitely the coldest thing around and almost stung to touch. “Well shit...guess I will not be getting inside this thing anytime soon...if only I had some fire magic or something that could melt the ice. If I used my sword I’m sure it would snap in two before carving the ice away.” While he knew he was not going to get anywhere any time soon, he felt obligated to stick around the stone for a bit, who knew maybe somebody else would happen across it and have some sort of firepower with them. Hopefully they opted to use that fire power against the ice and not Noah.

  3. Making his way through the snow coated path the young mage shivered some as he shook his head. The snow was a more difficult task to venture through given his height of 4'1. Albeit a bit tall for his character race, faerin. But things were not as simple either, especially as a Velten. Magically attuned he was a more slim, not as strong or as hardened as the others of his kind; so his avatar suffered a bit more physically. But nothing that he wasn't already used to; as an Otaku Shut in. This mattered little as today's journey seemed to focus around heading towards this enigma of sorts. A rumored structure off in the snow; an object whose will could only be tamed by a magician of his skill. But would the degree be enough?

As he continued trudging by towards the location of the alleged stone he'd notice a person of interest at it. Was someone else trying to unlock its mysteries? Slowly waddling over as he made his way beside the gentleman sometime later he'd place his staff down much like a walking stick and tap it. "Seems to be quite the conundrum. Ice huh, shouldn't be much of a problem." He'd say as he took a few steps back and began to charge up a spell, his hands raising as he mutters an incantation to himself the ice around the structure melting some.

Arching a brow he'd take note of the minimal effect and then attempt to wedge the water between any cracks as he tried to thrust it back up into the structure to shatter it by turning the water to ice only to have it fail and him sigh, turning to the other he'd rub the back of his head. Perhaps had he charged it. Well, there was only one other skill he could think of which might work. A faint smile passed as he slowly began to once more channel the magic of the water about him as much as possible before coating it all over the rock. Raising both hands and putting a much more specific charge into his next spell he'd continue chanting for about a minute before slamming the staff down and watching as lightning struck the rock.

As devastating as it appeared it was truly a mess; hoping the water would conduct and the ice would shatter he'd failed. Only managing to waste his mana. Sighing he'd take a seat on the ground and look up to the other, "Well, I guess that pretty much sums up my abilities. So you have any luck or are we both shit out of luck?" He'd ask with a smile before getting up to properly introduce himself. "The names Master Daisuke, a storm mage if you haven't guessed it. And you are?"

He'd inquire as the male would retract his hand should the business be done. "So tell me, what do you think it would take to conquer this mystery. Seems to be later game content. Kind of intrigued at the same time glad I failed, imagine opening it only to be mauled by some high powered beast. Well, the area still seems interesting, perhaps we should examine it for goodies. Party up, split the loot 50/50?" he'd ask as he sent the male a party invite.

  4. The young man walked through this section of forest. He was getting more and more intrigued by his surroundings as the ice began to cover the ground. It was hard to walk in the snow with how small he was but then he found that he could more a little fast then he had expected at least. He looked around him wondering what might be in this area. He had heard of something mysterious out here in one of the towns. He had just decided some hunting in the forest would be a good idea. Or maybe it was that he was intrigued by what he had heard. That was how it had gotten him out here. He took a moment as he started to get closer and hear someone talking. He tilted his head as he came up to the other two males that were in the area.

"Ice shouldn't be that hard to melt right?" he said a few seconds later. It looked like the other was a mage and his magic skills were not as good as some of the others but for his race he had magic and he was more than willing to use it. He went up to the mysterious looking object or rather the ice that seemed to have not had anything happen to it and it was barring the path further. He took a moment to assess the situation and then he conjured up his fire leaving a flame in his palm as he then directed it to the center of the Ice wall. It looked like it was melting but when the spell expired it really had done barely any damage and had really only melted the snow around them. He glared at it and tried something else using more mana and an explosion of fire that engulfed it all but it did nothing.

"Well damn. Not skilled enough I suppose." He said and looked back at the other two. "Hello by the way. Name's Ko." He said with a smile on his face. The young pyro was a little annoyed that he couldn't do much save for melting some of the ice around where they stood and not anything really on the wall of ice in front of them. Maybe someone else would come and have the right skills to take it down or maybe if they all did it at the same time. "You think maybe we could take it down together?" He questioned.
