Private - The bringer of sinful lust (18+)

_____Kaede could get used to things being calm again, it was almost like it had been years since she felt so at ease. No monsters, no astral visions of entire cities decaying to something or another. She could actually enjoy herself and relax, the Yladian was truly happy about that. Sure there was a battle brewing soon she would need to step in with, but that was not now and not something she was going to stress over until others started doing such. So, calmly strolling the streets of Vintergard in casual clothing the woman looked for something to do, or someone to enjoy the company of on such a fine spring morning.

_____Dawning on her figure was a grey long sleeve shirt, black pants, black gloves, and storm grey sandals. Her hair left down along her back while her bangs got placed behind her ears to show her face. Smooth pale skin contested by purple eyeliner and lipstick, sky blue eyes further drawing focus to her face and hopefully it was enough to keep men from staring at her rather developed body. She would hate to ruin her relaxing day by breaking a male's arm for trying to touch her like the last time she came to vintergard this early in the day.

_____Few clouds drifted in the blue skies, none showing sign of potential downpour, and the sun decently rose unfortunately not allowed the girl to enjoy a slightly warm gust while admiring the rise and color of the sky as a result. The city streets slowly growing a buzz around her as people began to work on their daily task or routines. Some even doing such despite the rumor of darkness that approached was commendable to the girl who resumed walking.

_____Her ears twitching slightly as the sound of church bells rang nearby, a almost laugh breaking her relaxed composure. So even the game had those annoying bells, frame moving towards the sound as she began wondering back. How long had it been since she entered a church, or even confused her sins? The thought drawing the laugh as she started to think how long she would be confessing if she did enter the building. Stopping at the gate around the building Kaede laughed wondering if having a demon as a best friend in the game was a sin. Or if she may have even slept and more with that demon would refuse her entry to the place if she tried.

_____Leaning against the wall Kaede smiled to anyone who entered the building for mass, she would not dare waste half her day of relaxing listening to someone likely repeat the same thing with different words. Or god forbid sing any song or recite anything she had no clue about. Instead she simply spent her time observing the woman and young adult woman who entered wondering if any of them may be fun to hook up with and later laugh if they tell her they confessed of the sins they ended up doing. Did that make Kaede the sin bringer of lust? The idea once more rising a small playful laugh as she waved to a child pointing at her and calling her ‘Yladian lady’. The race name still not sitting well with Kaede, elf would have been so much better for her, but no the game maker decided YLADIAN.

A fine morning it was indeed. Countless people flocking to the church like diligent sheep, or lamb. Doing their morning prayers. Atoning of their sins. Believing in a higher power. In a world where magic and monsters were a reality, it wouldn't be too far stretched to assume that God(s) exist too?

Of course, it didn't mean they weren't a thing in the real world. Some were clearly convinced, others not. Charlotte Breuil, however, was a non-believer. She didn't believe in paranormal abilities or magic either. She didn't look down on those who had a religion, really, but personally, she simply couldn't be bothered. At least in the real world... .

Here, however, things were supposed to be different. Magic was real. The paranormal happened. So clearly —"OY, YOU CAN'T DO THAT! FREE SPEECH AND STUFF!" A nearly obnoxious voice could be heard from inside the church as the door opened once more. A priest followed two muscular looking men that escorted a rather angry Charlotte out. "What have I ever done, HUH?!" The priest had a rather calm face that only, slightly, cracked in annoyance as the annoying brat only kept talking. "You DON'T question the Elysid's Integrity, Heretic."

Charlotte tried to get past the two bulky gentlemen to get closer to the priest to no avail. "Integrity my ass! Shouldn't you go all 'Blabla will lighten your path, too' or some bullshit? All I asked for was seeing them in person! With all the mumbo jumbo going around that should be possible, right? They gotta be real! Think about it, you got D-"

"ENOUGH! You little brat should be grateful I am not calling the authorities for this blasphemous nonsense you have been spilling. Never ever set foot in my church AGAIN!" With these words, the priest turned around as the two men pushed Charlotte away before returning to the inside and closing the door.

Nearly landing on her buttocks, Charlotte glared at the building. She played this game for stress relief, yet, right now, she was very very stressed. Summoning her great axe from her inventory she swang easily around a bit. "How about I'll make sure you DON'T have a church to call your own, HUUUHHHH???" Yeah, right now, the girl showed one of her more uglier sides. But... maybe, kinda cute? With that giant axe and the dress and all. This was exactly what Charlotte had been aiming for, after all!

@Kaede Hoshi who was more-or-less chilling right beside the entrance was kind of ignore for the time being. Charlotte wasn't the person to just randomly talk up strangers for no reason, after all.

 

_____Kaede’s focus moved when someone was escorted out of the church, a small chuckle at the start as the girl seemed to keep resisting and speaking the same thing that likely got her kicked from the building. When the preacher raised his voice Kaede almost started laughing, key being almost as the woman just listened to them. When the girl issued a threat however Kaede moved from her spot and hummed lightly to try and get her attention. Eyes glowing black for a moment as Kaede cleared her throat and walked closer, a hand reach to try and lower the axe down.

”Now now my dear, no reason to go that far. The man likely never truly found his faith and when faced with a true question he panics. The gods work different, least so I am told from the demons I have met. I’m Kaede, Kaede Hoshi… who might you be?~”

_____Kaede reached her hand that once tried to lower the weapon to the girl, her fingers cold and smooth with a gentle smile and concerned eyes. If the girl was still intent on destroying the church Kaede would likely have to either stop her or aid her. If her hand was taken Kaede would give it a light shake before trying to gently kiss the hand with a smile, not really worried if someone saw or called her odd. She herself was already seen as ‘The foresight of death’ by demons, and that sadly was a true fact.

"Huh?" The stranger got awfully close to Charlotte as she swang her toy around. Close enough, in fact, that she'd nearly chop something off the long-ear! Stopping mid-motion, Charlotte pouted first. "As if I'd be that stupid to actually do that!" Maybe if she were stronger to take on the entire city? Just data and all anyways. But right now? She was like a newborn!

Looking at @Kaede Hoshi in slight confusion for a moment, Charles grabbed the woman's hand in return. "Charlotte Breuil!" Before getting a gentle kiss on the very same hand. Eh, that was a medieval thing to do, right? Noble stuff and all. Though wasn't it usually the 'gentlemen' kissing a 'lady'? Whatever.

"Demons?" She now asked. "But..." Weren't they in front of a church? "Oh I get it." Did she? "You're another quest giver and all, right? From some noble origin who made a pact with the devil! And I suppose kicking on this stupid church triggered the questline!" Once again Charlotte applied her video-game logic.

"Well, sorry to disappoint you hotshot. But I'm not really into the whole sacrifice-your-soul-stuff!"

 

_____Kaede blinked at the girl for a few moments before she could not help but start laughing. A gentle muse of chuckles, the air around Kaede crackling with energy as she let her emotions control the moment before she regained her composure with a sturn cough. Eyes setting on the girl as she took a step back and raised her hands in a defensive manner. Once she felt it was long enough she lowered them back to rest behind her back before Kaede spoke once more.

”I’m a player like yourself Miss… Breuil, was it?~ I was simply trying to help ease you from trying to speak with a god. As someone with magic close to what most the NPCs call godly powers, it is not a fun thing.”

_____Kaede moved her right hand into view, fingers opening from a closed fist as her hand turned purple and a small orb of energy formed. While it did not look like much the amount of power rising from the small object was not to be taken lightly as Kaede tossed it skyward and it shot off rapidly. Her fingers moving to snap lightly before the sky turned black, the orb exploding in a cloud of energy that could have leveled the church, a byproduct of Kaede’s fixation on destruction. A calm smile as she moved her hand while it changed back to normal.

”If you don’t mind me asking, what was the reason you wished to meet a god? Maybe I could help if you let me, and I saw the reason just enough to do something my demon friend dislikes me doing.~

_____Kaede tried her best to sound like she could help the girl with what she sought, weather it was believer or not was truely questionable. However, as Kaede moved a hand to cover a light yawn it seemed her offer was that of limited time value and she was due for a good nap soon. If the girl seemed to have no interest Kaede would not push the issue, afterall she already knew what was going to happen today, rather every possibility and every way to make sure it went her way should she feel the desire to toy with her magic.

Oh! So she was a player! And had... godly powers? @Kaede Hoshi sure liked to show off, at the very least! And all formal too. All. Formal. Urgh, if a kid showed respect, that was all good. But for an adult(?) inside a game, it just felt weird. ... Actually, how could she even know? Her avatar - purposefully - looked nearly like a kid anyway, too!

"Charlotte, you can just call me Charlotte. And I stick to K-" It was then that Kaede Hoshi showed off the actual explosive part about her magic! That blast. Jeez, she must be like, a level 99 player person or something! Wow.

"And I stick to whatever you want to be called! Mrs. Hoshi? Kaede?" PvP was enabled everywhere, right? No reason to piss off an actual player. Unlike NPCs they could have... quite the temperament. Charlotte wouldn't let herself get pushed around that easily, but no reason to push it.

Regardless, the woman asked a question and Charles had no reason to keep the answer. "Alright. Here's the deal. I don't believe in God, Buddha, Zeus, Allah or whatever else fancies people currently. Right?" Hopefully, SHE wouldn't blow Charlotte up for saying such things.

"So, this is a fantasy game and everything. Everything's a thing! Duh. So I thought maybe I could meet an actual deity? See their take on it. Which is exactly what I asked..." Well... she was a little bit disrespecting, BUT only after they looked at her like as if she was some kid pulling a silly prank. "...and they didn't like that. Just pure curiosity."

 

_____Listening to the girl’s response Kaede could not exactly pin why people would go to such length to toss her out and shout at the girl for curiosity. Tapping a finger to her own chin as she thought it over some more before smiling and recalling what she needed to. She herself did not meet any gods, but there was two rumors of such happening before on record. Moving to look up at the sky Kaede spoke with a calm tone, aware what she might say next would no longer have her be useful, but not one to withhold information if she had it/

”In my knowledge, meeting a god does seem possible. The first evidence I think was during the battle against Azog, a former world boss. The second was not long ago when it claimed the arm if Lion’s pride leader Zeus. The gods here, by name at least differ from those within the realm of reality.”

Kaede took a moment to catch her breath and moved to look at Charlotte.

”They are split into two groups, good and evil gods. While i don’t recall the names of them, I do know my adoptive father here in the game could rant on and on about any of them and has books about them in the library. While it might not be exactly what you are looking for maybe one of them or a combination could give you hints as to how you would meet or call down a god.”

Kaede would look past Charlotte as her eyes turned pure black.

”But as someone who, while you might not believe could see the future can warn you… Meeting a god has a rather heavy price and they might not be all they are claimed to be…”

_____With everything said, Kaede’s eyes turned back to normal and she simply smiled calmly. Kaede could not prove if the gods did exist, she could not prove if the two rumored encounters with the gods are true, but she could possibly give the girl a step forward if seeking a date with divinity was truly what she wanted. A light sigh escaping her lips, mostly because up until now she had not done one thing fun or teasing to the girl. Shaking her head as Kaede blushed a bit from her childish thoughts and looked to see what @Charlotte Breuil would do next.

”Just Kaede is fine, or whatever you think fits, i know most people call be the foreseer of death so my name would be a good change.~”
