  3. For some reason, the black fog swirled around Majolica without actually hitting her. Apparently, game recognizes game.

"Hehehe, even death clouds know better than to mess with The Grand Witch! Hehehe"

Reaching the palace, Majolica eyed the various ways to go. She wasn't exactly a super athlete due to her using her magic for pretty much everything. That being said, she was pretty good on her broomstick. Approaching the flagpoles, she took off on her broom hoping to bunny hop from pole to pole while balancing herself on her broomstick.

    "Hehehe, let's go Broomstick!"

  6. Holy heck, this really was just a trial of acrobatics, wasn't it? The only thing that Haru had on him was experience at the gym. That, and...
Haru focuses on his spirit and bolsters it. He would be climbing that cliff with a will more sheer than it's face. That's the cool thing to do.

  9. Fortunately there was not that much of a hitch when he jumped to the other side. Not even his daggers were needed to scale the walls of the hole. He then stared at the others losing their limbs, breaking their ribs, and even dying on the way.

The next time he would see that Ivan, he would really skin him alive.

As he saw the second challenge to make it to the top, he chose the flagpoles, swinging on them like a gymnast to the other side.

  12. There were a LOT of people there that were dying horrifyingly embarrassing deaths, but Cain, fresh off his rolly polly adventure across the pit, couldn't even spare a word of condolence as momentum brought him up a beautiful ramp.

    Or, tried to, at least.

Halfway through, spewing out his bad decisions and his past regrets, as well as the fancy smancy lunch he had before this hell began, the Flagpoler of Miracles realized that there were lotsa poles to grab, and that if he didn't grab em, he'd be dead.

    So what did he do?

  15. She didn't know why she was here, and she was pretty sure she wasn't supposed to be here, but Vina decided that it'd be better to just try her best rather than bemoan her fate. Seeing people dying left and right wasn't too good for her morale, but the druidess still moved onwards, trying to grow a net of vines between the pillars that would allow her to somewhat safely cross over.

  18. Alpha was hearing voices. That was a bad sign. But, then again, Alpha always heard tiny little whispers and chattering sounds when there was no feasible origin for it, so she paid it no mind. It was best to ignore the voices that told you to feast on human flesh. It was dark, she paid no heed to the others around her; she took a stretch. And, with all her acrobatic finesse, made use of her light frame to try and swing from flag pole to flag pole. "I. Am. Tarzan!" she screamed.

  21. "Wow... I did it?" Certainly, she was surprised! Usually, her fiery plans burnt up as quick as they were create, in a blaze of stubborn glory. In a strange concoction of luck, skill, and instinct, she had managed the first obstacle. Unfortunately for her, these next obstacles seemed much more influenced by strength, and she had a treasure chest to carry!

"Gotta keep the momentum then!" In a charge, she attempted to catapult herself off of a flag pole with a similar blast of flame behind her.

@Grand Witch Majolica You approached the flagpoles of death with the intention of utilizing as much magic as you could. You didn't even have to try, you made every jump, gravity wasn't enough to keep you from reaching the top before anyone else. You were number one, if you were at the magic Olympic you would be on the platform receiving all of the medals right about now. Unfortunately, you have been dead since the first obstacle and anything after that is a beautiful long dream. Already dead

@Haru Neither height nor gravity could keep you from reaching the top without a single scratch on you. In fact, the arduous climb has rewarded you with a cut six-packs abs to boot.

@Bradwynne You chose to do flagpole, but you weren't anything remotely close to a gymnast. Considering how many of the flagpoles have been ruined by the people who went before you, you found yourself barely succeeding with ridiculous moves that only some people would be desperate enough to use. You took damage from shame. Subtract 50% HP

@Nalla Although you mastered the art of fire, you did not quite consider how the gold inside the treasure chest would react to your intense flame. In fact, each and every of the golden treasures melted, instantly coating you in a layer of pristine gold. Your body, which is now encased in gold lifelessly fell down into the abyss. Dead

@Vina Skysong You perfectly constructed some kind of safety net with your vines so excellently that it unfortunately resembles a magic circle.

@Alphabet Chocolate Although you excelled at the acrobatic feat and made great use of the flagpoles, you eventually took refuge with Vina in order to conserve your energy. By the time you landed, however, the voices in your head grew stronger and you began uttering incomprehensible words. Vina's net began to glow red, hungering for a power source.

@Cain Darlite Succeeded at the flagpoles, but he too had to stop on Vina's net. Unfortunately, the net's dark magic consumed most if not all of his magic to finish the accidental summoning.

Out of thin air, a massive and frightening figure materialized out of thin air. He appeared to be a man with pristine white hair and a dapper gentleman's attire. His eyes were as red as blood and he seemed rather displeased that he had been called out in such a way.

"Hmmph, how dare you summon me when it is only Season 3? Your meta treachery must be paid in blood. Kneel before your lord, insect!"

His eyes glowed brighter as he slowly floated toward the three. One by one, he thrust his hand into them, ignoring the skin, flesh, and blood and ripped the heart from their chest. After he cleaned the blood from his fingers, the man disappeared into nothingness.

@Cain Darlite @Vina Skysong @Alphabet Chocolate All dead

This post does not refresh posting cooldown.
Anyone who died this cycle may rejoin next cycle with their alternate characters.

    Final Cycle

You have finally made it to the balcony that protruded from the palace. It was a desolate place as you had imagined. You were standing under the open sky with no portal in sight. Did Ivan lie? Was it all for naught that you have reached the top of the palace, yet offered no finality, no closure, no compensation for your pain and suffering? Before you wallow in defeat, you noticed that there was a floating Persian castle with the familiar bulb-shaped dome drifting among the clouds. Your body shivered from the drafty wind.

Just as you began questioning ways that you can use to reach the palace's true apex, a golden light flashed, briefly taking away your sight. The next time you opened your eyes, Astor was standing... or rather, floating in front of you. He appeared to be semi-translucent and with an obnoxious golden glow. He spoke,

    img
    Astor

My name is Astor. My death happened 2000 years ago, though, the true travesty behind it was the fact that the Queen at the time condemned me to become a genie for all eternity. I am supposed to guard this palace until I die.

Anyways, speak, mongrel. You must figure out a way to convince me to fly you up to the floating castle. Only then can you reach the portal to exit from this cursed place.

  27. Even in real life, Ira's sole talent had always been his charm; his knack for social interactions and intrinsic charisma. In the presence of any problem, there had always been one solution that he could always fall back on: his charm. "Ti omorfo xamogelo! Please, let me fly on your wings my angel, and I will show you a world you've never seen before!" he leaned in, lips puckered seductively. His hands wormed their way between the distance which separated Ira and the genie, trying to caress the translucent figure's abdominals.

  30. Astor was a genie?
Responsible for whether someone got to leave?

This should, in theory, be too easy.

"If you don't get me out of here, I'll just stay here forever and keep you company. Talking you you about my life story. It began, some years back, on a hot and dusty day in California-"
And so Nikephoros went on, hoping that Astor would magic him out of the place rather than be subject to such horrors.

  33. A wild Charlotte appears!

"Alright, listen up you Ghostie! If you're a Genie you should be very well aware how this works, right? Guarding this broken down palace or whatever, lame excuse." Charlotte tried to rub Astor's golden abs armor.

"I get three wishes, right?! Right. Unless of course, you're a liar! In which case I have to tell you that you already died, just look at you being all translucent and stuff! Now, my three wishes. Genie proper. Easy peasy, first. Get me up there, pronto!"

  36. "...Really? Really? Are you serious?" Claire scowled at Astor. "We don't have time for this, just fly everyone up and let us go so we can actually deal with important things. Like, the giant monster that is threatening your kingdom right now? Does that ring a bell?"

  39. Comet held her arms out before the glorious, handsome, genie King to show her dedication to him and Astorea before yelling: "Fly me up because I love you, Astor!"
Wouldn't it be a win-win either way? Fail, stay with the King. Win, get back to the right plane and continue to exist.

  42. Astor? A genie? What whole new world is this? The place is crumbling anyway, she's gotta try something she had never done. Corvella raised her fingers behind her head, illusion magic turned them look like cat ears. "I.. I will cosplay as a catgirl if you fly me up, you fool!"
