  1. The knight remained completely quiet as the tiny lizard slowly came out of its shell. She had never seen creatures being born before outside of a few documentaries on the discovery channel. Having it happen while she was standing not three feet from it was an entirely different experience. To see those slitted eyes look from Luna to Savannah and back again nearly stopped the woman’s faux undead heart. It didn’t stop the smile from covering her mouth, however.

Luna’s words had Savannah nodding, her tongue flopping around inside her mouth like a dead fish. Silver eyes turned to the second egg that broke open, the yellow bulging eyes of the baby velociraptor immediately landing on her with a toothy smile…at least, Savannah hoped it was a smile. She was surprised that the little thing – oh, Luna had said it was a male – was actually kind of cute…after you got passed all the mucus and membrane that she had to tenderly swipe off.

What was more surprising was the colors of the baby dino. They matched Savannah’s skin pigmentation and hair color almost directly.

Hey there little guy, Savannah whispered, mimicking Luna as she stretched her hand out and waited for the tiny thing to jump into the palm. When it did, Savannah could barely stop the aww from escaping her lips. He’s so cute. What do you think you’ll name yours, Luna? Do we have to name them right now? Maybe we should, huh? Don’t wanna be baby dino numero dos for too long…

  2. Watching Savannah wiping the gunk and slime off of her raptor made Luna smile as she tended to her own raptor sibling, swiping slime and fragments of egg shell off of his body. Unlike his sibling, Luna's raptor was bone white with bumpy ridges all across his back and tail, with vibrant orange-yellow eyes. He was an intense looking one, it was like she could see a kind of primitive, yet inquisitive intelligence brimming behind them, swirling beneath the surface, waiting to be unleashed.

She giggled, running a finger gently down the raptor's snout affectionately, nodding as Savannah spoke. They were indeed very cute, but she could already tell that they were both going to be absolutely ruthless hunters one day. Call it intuition from her time spent with Natiri, but by now Luna was starting to wonder if maybe she was actually becoming an expert on carnivorous beasts. It'd make sense, considering how close she was with Natiri and how she just simply didn't fear them.

That was a point though and a good one at that. The little ones did need names. She hummed for a minute. Where were Velociraptors found? Mongolia? Hmm. "Ah, I have one name in mind. I think my little buddy here is going to be Oktai." She smiled, stroking his snout. "Did you have a name in mind?"

  3. Gently, Savannah ran her long index finger along the snout of the little raptor and was surprised by the purring whistle-trill that came from his mouth. She didn’t even know that this creature could make such a noise and had to chuckle because of it. Maybe she could teach it how to sing like a bird? Doubtful, but who knew with this game. In TerraSphere, there was a lot that was possible, so she wouldn’t rule it out just yet.

A name? Oh man, I dunno, Savannah whispered, turning her attention to the woman next to her. She had taken forever to come up with her own avatar’s name and now she had to go and name a beast? What would be something cool that others would fear in the heat of battle? Similarly, what would others whisper her about if it sounded like a cool name.

Hrm, Disapter is pretty good, right? There was a note of hesitation as the name tumbled out of her mouth. I mean, he’s like a Lord of Hell in this game that I used to play, so not entirely the best name, but I think it’s pretty badass…
