Personality
Zin is a kind and gentle man, he often finds himself wanting to help those in need regardless of personal cost. He keeps his personal feelings to himself never wanting to burden those around him with his own problems. He is rarely confrontational, preferring a more cordial approach to dealing with people.
Zin unfortunately often finds himself in deep depressions due to his complete lack of self worth. He believes himself to be mediocre at everything he does and ultimately a failure to his friends, family and life itself. Even though he is kind and compassionate to those he cares about, he often finds himself doubting his own sincerity. Is he just acting how he does because he believes it is the right thing to do? If so is that wrong? He doesn't know the answer, but it eats at him.
He also finds himself questioning the sincerity of people he knows or meets. The more kind someone is, the more he doubts their motives. To him an offensive or mean person is less filtered, which means they are likely more honest. A kind person that brushes off the cruelty life throws at them and still continues to smile? That seems fake and suspicious to him, surely they are hiding their true nature.
As Raid, Zin puts aside his worries and doubts and focuses on making his character a powerful Wizard. In the Terra Sphere he doesn’t have to worry that his motives are shallow or about the feelings of everyone around him. Online he can be someone else. As Raid he acts callous, serious and exerts a confidence he doesn’t have in the real world. He rarely jests and is incredibly unresponsive to pranks and jokes. He is secretive in game, rarely exposing his intentions to those around him until his goals are complete. He tries to ignore the urge to help anyone in need in the Terra Sphere, though is only partially successful as his true nature still sometimes gets the best of him.

Biography
Zin grew up in an abusive home with a father that would physically and mentally abuse him. His father would beat him almost daily, only stopping when Zin would repeat various self deprecating phrases or other demeaning acts. He rarely resisted. Anything to stop the pain. His early years were a hell he rarely likes to think of now and is largely forgotten, or at least locked away in his mind so he doesn't have to relive those terrible years of his life.
Eventually Zin’s parents separated and he finished his final years of childhood in relatively improved conditions. Still the environment he grew up in left him scarred. In spite of himself, Zin secretly believed the things he was told and made to say as a child, that he was worthless and useless. That he would never amount to anything in life. That he was better off dead. Defiantly he enrolled in college, desperate to prove he could do something. Be something.
But when the lights were dim and he was alone, the crippling doubt would poison his mind. Perhaps he would fail here like he did at everything. Perhaps he was worse than those things his father made him say about himself, perhaps he was a monster like his father. Zin had always been a polar opposite of his father who was sadistic and cruel. But perhaps he only pretended just in defiance, how could he be sure of his own motives? Though he usually shook that feeling off, it was a fear that haunts him to this day.
When he wasn’t doing school work or being forced out of his dorm room by friends, he would often practice escapism via the internet. Video games and RPs were a good outlet, he could be someone else online, his fears and worries were forgotten. None did this more so than VR games. There were rumors of a strange illegal game called “Terrasphere.” Supposedly it was the ultimate VR fantasy experience. When Terrasphere’s globalization exploded in the news its existence was brought to the forefront of Zin’s mind. Though initially wary due to the negative media it was receiving, he started becoming intrigued by the idea of it. Soon after, while watching an online RP series called “Pivotal Role,” he encountered a Commercial for Terrasphere. Shortly after he received a mysterious Email claiming to have the download for the game. Though doubtful of its legitimacy, Zin’s curiosity got the best of him and he downloaded it. Now...
