Excuse me, let me lend my aid. I can't risk you being attacked, we need your magic to win this battle!

Raid looked to the knightly figure, Oh no someone approached me about it, he thought to himself. Before he could say help was unnecessary another large tentacle rose up above the two of them and struck. Raid was hardly able to move before It came crashing down. Looking up, Raid knew he was screwed. Or he would have been had the Knight not been there quickly taking action saving him from what would have surely been death. Still the tentacle slammed into him even with the knight and it hurt BAD.

    Ahh! Damn...

Raid looked toward the knight. While he appreciated being saved, he couldn't help but feel like he didn't deserve it.

Thank you for the save... I appreciate your assistance and you are more than welcome to continue forward with me, though I must warn you I may not live up to your expectations.

Don't scare me like that again!

His friend @Jericho Cross yelled to him. Raid managed a half smile trying not to grimace from the pain. @Daegon Malak had also stopped for a moment to taunt him.

Oi Raid, stop being a pancake and get back in the fight!

He then cast some kind of buffing spell on him that wrapped him in a purple aura.

Our resident Firemage should be able to do something with that.

Just then, groups of mutilated cultists appeared around various parts of Titanius chanting something. Jericho and Daegon ran off toward them as soon as they appeared and Raid turned toward them as well.

I'm heading that way, do as you wish.

Not looking back, Raid ran after his friends. He hoped the knight would go and help someone more deserving of their protection. Looking ahead, Raid could see his friends arrive too late to kill the Cultist as they had been taken out by other players before they got there. Shrugging, Raid began to write small black runes in the air around him. Hopefully this would help him avoid taking fatal damage this time around. As he finished, a barrier formed glowing a dim gray color around him. Its dark energy sparked out toward the Titanious' body burning it in several areas.

I'll have to be more careful If want to last long here.

Gwyn paused in the strange portal they found themselves, waiting to serve as back-up for the team within the odd core of the beast. She cut toward the gathering Blue Team and called out to @Aalam Abungu where he stood at the ready with the rest. "Been a few months, but I think it's just helped age this a little," she grinned as she held out a familiar flask. Full where once it was empty. "Snagged a good year whiskey from the late King himself. Something that burns as much as it soothes. Enjoy." He'd need it more than her, looked like.

As for @Kyupin Felnya, she had joined them at last. Unfortunately, luckily, some dizzying mix of relief and regret. She was tough, she'd be fine. The prisons wouldn't have a hand on her again. Gwyn swallowed down the last of a tuna sandwich the Felis had brought, gave her a quick squeeze of the hand, and turned heel through the portal. "I'll be right back, Kitten!"

The portal resisted her movement through it and she was thankful they'd had the chance to heal before returning to this hellish task. Emerging on the other side, it was both as and not at all as chaotic as she had expected of the battlefield. The blur of a swift-moving and nimble foe had caught her eye through it and the blonde huntress cut herself a path across to her, bow taut and drawn.

She hissed in a breath as the shot went sailing a measly three inches to the left of the devout's side, between the space of her hip and limp arm. Maybe she'd underestimated that a fair bit.

The icky, niggling sensation worsened as time went on and Alpha felt dirty. It was as if a layer of intangible, immaterial grime had coated every open surface of her skin and pulled her down. It was then, during the most improbable moment possible, that she remembered about the black-haired girl who saved her. She looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of the familiar face. The loathsome place she had found herself in had sufficiently distracted her from most things up until now. She prodded the huge eyeball, sticking her finger into its squishy peeper.

"Hey, do you see her?" Alpha asked, not going into more detail. It was a huge eye and it would be able to catch her savior (@Libitina Cerin) in the crowd, right? "I got this person I forgot to say thank you to and that's super rude! If my mom heard about it then I'd get grounded or banned from the interwebs or something! Gotta say thanks, y'know? So can you help an old friend out and help her find a mysterious stranger with black hair?"

The place was filled with people who matched that very broad description but Alpha didn't seem to notice. Instead, she nudged the supernaturally large eye with her elbow. "I have a candy wrapper," Alpha smirked slyly, haughty at the treasure she carried in her pocket. "I'll give you two lollipop wrappers in exchange for your help. That's a bribe, by the way."

Alpha wanted to make it clear in case this maybe-or-maybe-not sentient eyeball didn't catch her drift. After waiting a moment to no response, however, she merely shrugged. "Okay but you don't know what you're missing," she hummed, snapping her fingers and using her magic to cleanse the metaphysical grunge off of her. As it slipped off, she shivered. Disgusting.

Oh well. She'll find the mystery lady later and thank her with a few candy wrappers. Now? She'll just enjoy having skin as smooth as a baby's butt. One word: refreshing.

Lucia could see the cultists, it made her a touch bitter, she truly wanted to let Morgana fight until she was content. "I suppose we should--" She turned around only to find that the wraith had disappeared. For a moment, she blinkingly stared before sighing heavily knowing exactly what happened. That itchy trigger finger loosed itself the moment she lost concentration. Finding Morgana to be a lost cause for the moment, she approached the pious cultist, a faint smile on her face. "Preaching about a monster-- I suppose there are worse things to revere, but the pantheon of gods out there are higher then this thing. Honestly, while it is very impressive and imposing, given time anything can rise to this height. My armor for example, could one day develop to rival this creature; they both serve similar purposes, have the same functions and tools. As far as being worthy of your devotion though, I'm afraid this creature is far lacking." Lucia spoke, going off on a tangent of how abominations come to pass.

Her lecture was rather informative, calculative and experienced, she explained the natures of that undead class; abominations, aberrations, lectures on blight and what it meant, what it could be used for, the nature of artificial life and unlife as well. Lucia was a knowledgeable person on the subjects, like an encyclopedia about dark magic and Daoism. Lucia could even site and source specific writings here or there to support her words from time to time trying her best to support @Grand Witch Majolica's efforts to convince the creature to surrender.

It was while @Sean Poteitoku was attacking the other robed cultists that Morgana would show herself again though. In the midst of his attack to finish them off, he'd see the legless floating spector appear from a puff of smoke. Madness radiating out from her face mask like floodlights from the eye holes, her body composed of searing red ethereal fog covered in feminine leather armor and a tattered trench coat. "DIE-- HAHAHA DIE!" The wraith roared, it's voice crazed, it's actions deranged and filled with murderous intent as it swung a hand. That simple gesture loosed six or seven knives, with a single sweep they darted from her sleeve like bullets stabbing through into the ground below or the unfortunate cultists behind them. With mad laughter she continued swinging her arms trying to support the killing effort of the cultists until the last one fell.

Comet's limbs became fidgety with the waiting. The wondering. The watching. She could hardly stand the tension tightening her heart. A quick, excited beat turned slow. Afraid all over again. Especially without Mags or Alkaid there to keep her company. Sure being on a Reserve Team meant a lot to the Archer and newfound Noble who desired respect among her peers. However, being out of combat wasn't her style. Somehow she needed to help.

Traveling through Ivan's portal proved worth the damage to health. Jumping straight into battle she drew her bow without a word spoken, or barely a sound made. The pink-haired woman let her expertise speak with actions made. Her emerald eyes focused on the cultist attempting to deceive her senses through by moving quickly. But determination fueled the pink-haired woman's desire to defeat. Since she'd only recently arrived, worthiness needed to be demonstrated by prowess more than anything else. Then she would stop to speak. Perhaps observe the surroundings and pick out those she could bond with. For now only battle mattered. Getting rid of the horrid creature inflicting unimaginable pain in a multitude of ways on both the environment and players around her.

Its own effects had been slightly noticeable in herself. Hopefully, she wouldn't succumb so soon. Not without witnessing the core or even the monster conquered. Though a part of her managed loudly enough, "We got 'er, @Gwyn ap Herne," she smiled gratefully for the silent, unknown motivation the blonde provided for Comet to feed off of. "Thank you for helping me."

    It hurt.

As she shook her head to both sides in denial to her essence finally fading into nothingness, she noticed a few mysterious figures spawning all around them, each presenting a slightly different challenge than the last one. To her left, there was one standing without a care in the world amidst the pool of acid coating the floor, the one she had successfully run through thanks to the adrenaline.

And with them... An adventurer she hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet, already taking the first few hits required to take their target down. Portia, never content with staying still when there was much to be done, took in a deep breath and bolted out of the eye's proximity and into the acid pool, a few remnants of the female's magic scattered across the battlefield for her to stand on and gain the required speed she needed.

''Sequence initiated!'' Was her way to announce her presence to the unsuspecting member party who had come to attack from an entirely different zone than her own. Unable to use her magic for another while, Portia switched out her magical weapon and instead of the floating runestone, a pair of mighty crystallized gauntlets appeared and covered her hands.

She struggled, yes, and it was only due to the strange tendrils taking possession of her body that she almost slipped into the acid, but upon reaching the final platform to stand on, she crouched down low and leapt high into the air thanks to her Acrobat mastery, pulling her right fist back at an angle before gravity pulled her back down at the block that contained their foes. This was just one of her first tries on performing a combo action. She could only hope she lived up to the Ice mage's expectations.

Upon landing above the monstrosities, she slammed her right fist against the ice, which cracked under the force of the blow she had hit it with. Crack, crack, crack. What once had been a mighty display of her companion's abilities now crumbled to pieces and fell into the pool of acid, broken into pieces that once made a whole. Broken into pieces of a puzzle. Satisfied with herself, she stood back on the ice and jumped off it, back into the safety of solid ground.

That... Now that was something she could feel proud of.

Oh man, was this exciting?! Cherish could feel the surge of virtual adrenaline as she ran as fast as she could towards the Big eye thing on the other side of the acid pit. As she ran, Cherish did her best not to trip over the little tentacle things in on the floor by hopping, skipping, and even cartwheeling around them. Cherish had missed a bit of the battle as she had stood there like an idiot, almost giddy with the excitement she was feeling about the battle and the scale of the monster she was facing.

After having traveled quite a distance towards the closed eyeball thing, Cherish realized it would be possible to kill two birds with one stone. Unclipping her axe as she ran, Cherish hacked at each of the mini tentacles she came across, severing it from the fleshy floor of Titanius' insides. Along with that, Cherish also knelt down a little as she ran, so that her axe would carve a path in the flesh floor.

Gwyn muttered crossly to herself and pulled another arrow, fitting the hawk-feather fletching between the second knuckles of her first and middle fingers. The rasp of callous against stiff feathers was a better sensation to focus on that the foggy weight in her mind that the dissonance and the acrid scent of acid seemed set on drowning her in. The wiry cultist dropped with an attack not her own as soon as she lifted to aim once more. She glanced over at @Comet with a wry smile. "Not sure what help that was, save showin' you what not to do," she laughed, "but I'll take it. Excellent shot."

With her own arrow drawn back, she dropped the aim down to the fleshy floor beneath and released. The shaft slammed down into the body beneath, the meat of it tensing and flinching from the impact and the pain that scattered out along nerves she couldn't see. The huntress was content to leave the arrow where it lay. The red-tailed hawk's feathers found a final prey and she left it like a claiming flag in the beast. Slaying and slaughter of this mass belonged to the veritable army of players scattered across the battlefield. Gwyn was needed elsewhere.

She turned with an aimless salute toward the others and turned to begin the trip back to the portal. Hopefully, with the care taken, she'd arrive there still in plenty fit enough fashion to take up the fight.

    "Oh shitfuck."

Rivers stepped through the portal into the chamber and was immediately lost in the commotion. He had just started his adventure in Terrasphere, when this world boss event was called to his attention. Why not check it out? He'd thought. What's the worst that could happen? It was this. This was the worst that could happen. Knowing it was a game didn't drive away the anxiety that he was in a living, breathing behemoth. This creature was unfathomably strong.

But, Rivers looked around at his fellow players. They were here, fighting this monster together. Of course, working together meant they were sure to beat it. The combined strength of this many players had to be greater than even this beast. How could he back out now, when these many fellow players were fighting? There was no way he could turn tail and run!

Rivers noticed the eye in the distance and figured that was likely a weak point. Vulnerable spots like eyes and necks typically gave some kind of advantage, so he needed to make his way there. Between him and the eye stood the green lake, however, which seemed like it wouldn't make for a pleasant swim...he'd go around that. He ran to the side but knew that he couldn't make it to the eye quickly. Eying up the fighting between him and his goal, Rivers thought maybe he should settle for an immediate result before he helped out his fellow players. He was inside the behemoth so anywhere should hurt Titanius. So...he attacked the floor.

    "Take that!"

Okay, that wasn't as cool a debut as he was hoping for, but he had to start somewhere and it could only go up from hitting the floor. Rivers prepared himself to continue the charge to help his fellow player and destroy the eye.

The charred remains of the massive, pus-filled tentacle were no physical obstruction, but the smell... Ash seriously regretted going for the Caenis race now. If he'd known about things like this. He crossed the burnt-out husk, looking for the least dense path in his approach of the eye-

He slipped, and fell, sliding downwards and downwards, into the maw of the beast, into the acid and humidity and darkness closing in, caught in a narrowing gullet with the absolute knowledge that some whatever was on the other end was so, so much worse-

A sharp pain snapped Ash to his senses. He hadn't fallen, hadn't been swallowed by the earth itself. He forced himself to relax his hands, wincing as claws came away from the pinprick wounds left in his palms. It didn't happen. It didn't happen.

"It didn't happen, it won't happen..." His muttering trailed off as he continued cutting a path, hoping that his efforts would make it easier for others to move forward. Or at the very least, hurt Titanius' ego, assuming the thing had one.

As she waited for the cultist to respond, Majolica noticed another woman (@Lucia Mierz ) approach. Apparently, she also wanted to convince the cultist to stop doing bad things. Majolica watched as Lucia began spouting off facts, theories, and knowledge on all sorts of things. Gods, abominations, chaos theories, the woman was Encyclopedia Occultica.

    Hehehe... what?

Majolica had no idea what Lucia was talking about. She didn't like studying things unless she thought they were interesting, and for Majolica gods and stuff were definitely not interesting.

When Lucia finished, Majolica looked over to her.

"Hehehe, trying to poach my new Witch Ops spiritual advisor?"

Majolica waited for a comedic pause.

"Hehe, no I'm joking. He'll be a butler or something. Hehehe, first he needs a hair cut and pants, hehehe. And to stop being super crazy. Hehe, I know who you are Lucia the Necromancer. Hehehe, I bet you don't know who I am though, do you? Hehe, I am Grand Witch Majolica! Most powerful witch in the world!"

    Majolica pointed at her.

"You don't fly on a broom like I can, so you're not a real witch! Hehehe, though I've heard that you're actually really nice so I won't bully you, hehe. At least as long as you don't do something like unleashing a zombie horde on a peaceful town. Hehehe, as the Grand Witch and Commander of the Witch Ops it's my job to punish bad guys, hehehe, so make sure you don't do anything evil, like this cultist dummy! Hehehe.

Feeling that she had adequately, introduced herself to Lucia, Majolica thought it was about time to leave the area... with the cultist in tow.

"Anyway, thanks for talking to him about all of that weird stuff. Hehehe, I think I'm just going to steal him now though! Hehehe, be sure to get out of all of this poison. Hehe, I'd carry you with me, but I only have room for the crazy guy, hehe."

Majolica floated over to the cultist.

"Hehehe, okay Ralph! Time to go! Hehe, you work for me now! It's your penance for worshiping this monster! Hehehe, now, let's go Ralph!"

Majolica waved bye bye to Lucia, then grabbed the cultist by the collar.

    "Hehehe, let's go Broomstick!"

Dragging the cultist behind her, Majolica quickly cut a path out of the hazardous area.

    Was...somebody singing?

Aristides had to pull back from his next swing at the eye--which might have been for the best, with the energy he was burning through so early on in the battle--to look at the unusual sight near him. She looked no older than a child, but given the character creation aspect it was impossible to tell from appearances alone. What was clear, though, was that she was singing an old song while diving through acid, tentacles, pus, eyeballs, and everything else here that was absolutely insane.

It was actually really, really great. Aristides took a moment to burst into laughter. Okay. He had needed that. He was getting to caught up in the feeling of everything and not the idea of having any fun. It was nice to see somebody who actually was.

_____When the cultest showed, well the team could almost count Kaede no longer fighting. Frame spun almost freakishly as Kaede looked at the woman and, rather comically began bleeding from her nose. Dagger dropping to the ground as she burnt the image into her mind before remembering, wine first ladies second. A quick bow and whistle before she leaned to get her dagger and spun back to her target, more rage fueled into her, but also some respect for her foe.

”A solid eight for taste mr tentacle monster, but… more cleavage and less sagging is just so much better.”

_____A thumbs up before Kaede coughed lightly and went back to stabbing the eye with her dagger. It was so hard for her not to try and get another look, but closing her eyes and recalling was enough for the moment. Sure others would make fun of her or back away from the girl, who had yet to stop her nosebleed… But she did not care for any of that as her dagger once more cut into the target.

“Air looks neat and spatial disturbance is low. Target: Astral portal. X axis maximum discrepancy is 17,4cm.” A dead wind howled in the noodle shop in Vintergard. “Unit movement angle, 0º. Distance: 2 meters. Quest should be complete in two steps… Acceptable error margin is 0,5mm! But, of course, I can do this!” the brunette talked and encouraged herself befdore the astral portal opened by Ivan. She sweated profusely as she tried to build up courage. One step back, one after another. They were not steps of fear, but those taken FOR SCIENCE. Usagi rushed forward with all her might and scientific calculus foundation before jumping to reach the portal…

Before she could jump, the brunette tripped and had a very awkward launch towards the portal, dropkicking a certain moondweller along with her inside the portal in a slow motion storm of clumsiness, pasta, science and a green hedgehog in the mix. The perfect recipe for SCIENCE, would you not agree? When they reached the other side Usagi sweated profusely. Did she really trip yet again!? She stood up, eyeing the unfortunate @Quinn, who had been dragged along with her.

“F-Fear not, carrotman!” She pointed at the green ninja, whose head was six feet deep in the fleshy ground. “This was all part of my calculation! With a mighty turn of my finger I canyaaaaAAAH!?” the magitech archer freaked out when a large tentacle sprouted out of the ground and tried to grab her. She pulled her sleek magitech crossbow from her back and shot it, obliterating the appendage with magic-infused bolts. Unfortunately, she pulled the triger way too many times.

The bolts flew all across the battleground, but one in particular landed right beside @Celestine, detonating in a large arcanamancy explosion. Usagi watched as the world around her started to crumble like a tale of madmen. She sweated profusely, unsure just what in the hell she had to do now. “Y-you tripped, again, Usagi… My c-calculations have failed me, dear dice roll…” She fell on her knees in an obligatory dramatic moment.

Iván was impressed when he saw, from the corner of his eyes, someone annihilating the leftover pus tentacle that the Witch Ops Disrupt Party had successfully disrupted minutes before. He made a mental note to keep an eye out for that guy and grinned when @Corvella probably thought the same, going as far as to saving the same person. Interesting.

It was a smart move. This whole Titanius business was pretty troublesome. They would need to save their strongest allies, those who contribute the most, as well as their support, their healers, those who can dispel the dissonance, and those who can disrupt. That's pretty much saving everybody, isn't it? Wow, Witch Ops was growing on Iván.

He narrowed his eyes when the weird cultists appeared. They were spewing nonsense about Titanius, clearly uninformed about the one true purple god. Their audacity made Iván angry, angry enough to feel the crystal spikes forming under his skin. Swallowing air, he composed himself, performing breathing exercises to alleviate the fury he was feeling.

Once he felt he was okay, he decided to move forward, to do something, only to experience frightening hallucinations of the events that happened while he was down in the Spire. Gritting his teeth, Iván thought angrily of the purple god he'd faced down there, or maybe that anger was towards his consistent failure to get another audience with that otherworldly being, "How am I supposed to see you again if I fall to this fake god?"

The Ynglar Brotherhood's resident teleportation spell botcher, one-eyed Ivan, caught the masked Iván's attention. He seemed to be more disturbed than usual. That wasn't a good sign. Iván shook his head, trying his best to regain his composure.

As everyone else dealt with the cultists, he decided to go on ahead and attack whatever he could, channeling his illusion magic for a phantasmal spell and summoning a magical familiar, a smaller version of the Spire's Snow-Quilled Guardian, to supplement his attack.
