Hearing @Grand Witch Majolica Lucia couldn't help chuckling sweetly, people really still saw her as a necromancer it seemed. Despite all of the things she'd done in quests, raids and adventures. If the woman truly thought she was, she didn't know Lucia nearly as well as others did. "Usually only outsiders would call me a Necromancer. Though I can't exactly say I'm not, really, it's a matter of perspective I suppose~" She mused. After all even Roland probably classified her as a Necromancer. At the end of the day though, whenever anyone asked her, if anyone had ever taken the time to know; Lucia had always referred to herself as a Priestess, though currently now she took on the title of being a Saintess. Among those playing the game after all, Lucia was the only one who had managed to reach out to a Goddess, not once, but now twice. It was a point of pride and pedigree for her. "I don't mind if you want him, I'm more interested in the creature itself." Lucia admitted, not really having as much of a desire for the cultists as she did for the monster they were currently facing.

Though seeing that things were taken care of with the cultists, she darted from the acid, with Alice's help the damage wasn't particularly substantial. Glancing to @Iván Carl as she passed, she flashed a mellow smile his way. "Summons are more potent when you combine them with other masteries-- Food for thought." She tried to propose. After all, that was how Lucia herself typically fought. Rushing farther past Ivan, leaving him with that advice, she advanced with a widening smile, parting her lips to shout loudly in hopes that her companions could hear her. "@Luna Avalbane keep doing your best, I'm counting on you~" She called out to the girl before glancing back towards @Madison Freebird who was farther back. "Madison, if you can support me from afar with heals, I'd appreciate it~" She requested with a sly smile thinking that the creature would turn it's eyes on her shortly. Once she loosed Morgana in it's direction it would no doubt turn towards her she thought.

"Morgana!" She spoke, reaching out a hand, swinging her body around with a sharp rotation, winding her body up as she shouted. In reaction to her voice, that female wraith suddenly appeared by her with an arm stretched out. That same carved smile on her mask, the volatile madness radiating from every fiber of her existence as she grabbed hold of Lucia's hand. "YES! This is it-- Do it! Do it and Die!" The wraith roared with thrill pulsing through it's frame as Lucia's body snapped back around, like a whip she turned back launching the Wraith forward towards the monster's vulnerable area. Once she made it high enough into the sky, building up enough speed, the wraith swung it's arms, parting it's tattered long coat as it's crazed laughter echoed out. "HAHAHAHA DIE!" It roared it's signature battle cry once more as it pulled the crossbows from it's waist to fire. Pulling the trigger, bolts poured down from the shadows of it's tattered cloak following behind the bolts it loosed. Discarding the spent crossbows, it swung it's arms pulling another loaded pair from the Aether as it's deranged giggling grew more fierce and it started firing bolts rapidly down into the eye like a storm of steel.

With the various groups of cultists had been converted or killed, the raid party managed to avoid a nasty development where the cultists would have unleashed their full power upon those who had invaded their god’s sacred body. As Titanius absorbed their bodies, the hanging eye stirred.

As though the eyeball was a puppet on strings, it slowly moved across the massive chamber until it hung over the pools of acid. There, the acid’s effect receded a bit, its effects weakened accordingly. It was uneventful.

Iván narrowed his eyes when @Lucia Mierz called out to him. Although he bore her no ill will towards her, regarding her betrayal in his first Aristocracy mission, he was still wary about anything related to her. It was understandable. He knew nothing about her, except maybe that she was one of the most powerful Players he had ever encountered, and his first impression of her, aside from her being that powerful, involved that betrayal. To Iván, Lucia was basically someone he should not cross and maybe even not trust, though in this case, can he afford to ignore an advice? Can he afford to trust Lucia's tip? He sighed, unsure of what to do, what to consider. That was, until the hanging eye stirred and relocated over the pools of acid, close to where he stood.

The acid is receding? Interesting. Iván turned towards the eye, ignoring the fact that he had seen some of the cultists' bodies getting absorbed by their supposed god, Titanius, the fact that such could be the fate of all overzealous believers, the fact that it could be Iván's own fate regarding his own obsession with the purple god he met down in the Spire. No, he can't dwell on that idea, that thought. At least not now. There were important things to consider, more important things to focus on.

Just to be safe, Iván paid extra attention to his position, wary of any surprises Titanius, especially his hanging eye, would have in store for them, for him. He channeled his illusion magic once again, choosing another phantasmal spell, and had his magical familiar, a smaller version of the Spire's Snow-Quilled Guardian, bolster his attack. The creature made the same noise its bigger inspiration did at the sight of Iván's party down in that Spire before launching its quills towards the eye, his illusion magic taking the form of more devastating quills flying at their target.

    He was slowing down.

How could that be?! He was made of darting dancing swords and legs, he was filled with joy and verve and battle-lust. So why was it that his blade-arm lagged? Why had his footpatter turned to footfalls?

Rook looked down and saw his hands, the skin exposed, their texture foreign. Running up the tendons from fingertip to wrist were boils, blisters, pus-filled pebbles like a pale toad's back. The sight shocked him. He paused in his rush towards the Gaze to lift one, flex it before his eyes, marvel at the strangeness. The tenderness.

Oh! This is what this was!
    It was pain!

Game-pain, false-pain, slow-pain. Rook hated it. He hated the acid that sizzled on his skin and through his jacket, now aware of the fuzzy off-feeling which meant his senses dulled, his HP plunging. He hated the eye, still closed, which had moved while he stood trapped within his reverie and dangled now above the deadly pool.

Sullenly, Rook kicked a passing seal-shaped creature into the acid lake. It made a cute noise as it sailed away, popping midair before it could plonk into the liquid and give him any satisfaction.

The eye. The eye had moved, so he would too! He was Rook the Quick! His toes tensed and he somersaulted from the undulating wall and ran up the fallen tentacle, sandals pattering on charred black flesh. His muscles tensed like coiling springs and then Rook leaped, soared, stre-e-e-etched-- and his swords went SLICE! across the bulging orb before he fell down, down, back down into the lake.

And the buzzing came. The slowing. The fading. Rook burst out of the acid like a cat who'd just touched water and catapulted high, landing on his feet in a hissing shower of droplets. Blades still in hand, he kept on running on the slippery ground, pat-pat-pat, the walls contracting like a giant lung, pat-pat-pat, back to the farthest corner where so many others stood.

Corvella's hunch was right; Titanius quickly recognized @Raid as a threat and slammed a gigantic tentacle on both of them. Heightened sense allowed the knight to quickly turned around and brought her shield above herself, while kicking the tentacle to alter its path. However, she was not expecting the tentacle to be that big, it ignores most of her strength and slammed on the long-haired mage anyway, albeit with much weaker strength. Corvella quickly wielded the winged shield to critically cut the tentacle to stop it from hitting the mage further. The attack took Corvella's attention that she wasn't able to avoid the acid raid attack that followed shortly after, it started to melt her armor in the back.

Ugh, are you okay? Sorry, I didn't expected something that big. Couldn't imagine what might happen if I were too late.

The grand magus responded to her with a thanks and humble response, saying that he might not live to the expectations. Looks like his friends are here, so she could be relaxed a little bit. She reminded him to look after himself before they parted. Just as the black knight is prepared to close in to the gaze of Titanius, the eye went on its own to move towards her instead. Lucky.

Aaaand it stopped in the middle of acid pools. Of course it would. And like most bosses in videogames, it didn't take damage from its own acid. She ain't going to step on that acid pool again. Looks like she would be relying on her magic instead. Her magic ring in the left hand glowed, creating three clones of Corvella only just for the eye to witness. Gotta save that magic power, right? If she wanted it to be flashy she would make everyone see it.

While the illusions jumped into the acid pool and faking attacks on the gaze to confuse it, Corvella focused her magic ring towards the eye like a green lantern, emitting purple, beaming light that deals psyche damage to Titanius.

Celestine had barely finished showing off before another wave of craziness washed over the 'wherever this was.' Crazy guys screaming who knows what about the gargantuan squidboi here. What the heck would even possess someone to go all fanatical over something straight out of an R-rated horror film? Unless they were NPCs... then that made perfect sense.

Anyway, in the few short moments that she'd stood there to think, they all died. Wow. Just wow.

"This is like the moment in the movie things where I am to say 'Is it the us that are the real monsters?' Luckily, I am not doing the care, because if we are the monster, then at least we are not doing ourselves the uglies."

She was mostly just blathering to herself... though anyone nearby was welcome to her wise moment of sitting there doing nothing while an epic battle raged on. Unfortunately, that moment was abruptly shattered by an arcane explosion of... wet... warm... BLECH: Cel really didn't wanna think about what this stuff was.

    @Usagi

    "HEY!"

    Woosh, woosh.

A few Aero leaps had her swiftly circling around the acid pool and closer to the sudden friendly-fire...er. It was a... was that a Felis? Is was a little hard to tell, actually.

"Do the watching where you are flinging the arrow of explosion!"

Hands on her hips, Cel glared at the newcomer.

"Hmpf. You are owing me the ear rubbings later."

Turning to one of the dead cultists, Celes quickly called out a combination spell, forcing the spirit up and out where it fused with a rough illusion of herself. One that, quite understandably, started freaking out a bit.

    Literally ghosts!
    Decoy ghosts.
    The best kind of ghosts!

Meanwhile, Cel fired a more offensive mind bolt at the eye. Not the best attack by a long-shot, but at least she had a decoy.

Things seemed to be progressing rather fast for her first raid battle, everyone were cooperative and aware of their surroundings helping and supporting each other. "Guess it is time for me to make a few friends as well after this whole scene is finally over with." her thought barely even heard in her head as the whole position of the map changed. After defeating the minor monsters the Boss itself moved to a different location and thank god she was pretty close, pretty close to attack the Titanius Gaze again, that is.
Moving from her spot she ran through the thick walls still having the mask over her mouth however the acid that rained upon them deals some damage to the young archer, not much since she managed to find a spot to hide under it when carefully examining the area from her previous attack.

Rias appeared so close to the eye that she let herself stare at it for a second, taking her time to notice the marking from her arrow last time she shoot him. It was still there...wasn't it a little bit weird that the Boss spawned his soldiers when his HP was so high still? @Iván Carl seemed to be handling the situation regarding the monster but even he was confused, luckily they were near each other and she approached him with a switch movement. "You need help understanding what's up? I can help you clear your thoughts if you tell me what options you have in your head, Ivan." She said the moment she appeared next to him, a clear head would probably allow him to think faster and come up with an answer way faster.
While she awaited for an answer the girl decided that risking a little wouldn't be a bad choice seeing how many people were there to support weak players. Stepping rather close to the enemy she would call out his name "OI ugly eye, look this way...Please~" she would await for the right moment when the eye would land around her area and immediately let go of her arrow which went straight to it's target.

No sooner had Rook set foot again on dry land (if land was wet and rolling-slick and smelled of rotting blood beneath its crust) then he felt something. A creeping, crawling feeling! A restlessness beneath his skin!

    ??!

Anemones—they bloomed at once from every blister on his body in a shower of pale goo. Their tentacles exploded into twitching tangles, fringing from his hands and grasping sneakily onto the hilt of his blades like children's hands. They burst in patches on his neck, his chin, the places once exposed to mist and fog and dissonance, disosacnne, dniss̶̓a̸̍̀ͅc̶̤͝n̸̫̓ô̴̡ͅẽ̵̪̯͐...

    ...No!

He hit the ground like a fire drill, wrestling his binds, struggling to break free. He curled his feet around the foreign growth and rolled, pulling out the parasites, scissoring them from his wrists and palms and fingertips like sprouted potato eyes with gouts of white pus and dangling skin.

He stood up suddenly, hair sticking in all directions. His eyes were wide. Then he bundled the torn tentacles in a silent frenzy and kicked them into the lake.

When he turned to look back again at the others, a beard of mock-Titanius packed close around his blistered neck, he seemed as normal. He cocked his head to the side. Then, as if he remembered suddenly what he'd been doing, the masked player turned backback to the Gaze.

Rook attacked. He stalked the massive eye, slower, weaker. He stabbed. He dripped. The acid sizzled. And his new proud collar waved its bloody feelers as he sprang back, tightening its merry grip upon his throat.

Celestine watched the mindbolt bounce off the crazy eye appendage with a severe lack of enthusiasm. Did it even hurt this hideous thing at ALL? Did this thing even have a mind? All debatable questions, which were better left to another time less vulgar and virtually life-threatening. If nothing else: dying to this thing could easily scar someone for life, mentally.

...honestly, the potential bounties were the only thing keeping Cel from logging out right now. Even then, this was quickly getting to the point where game currency just didn’t seem worth it. Not unless there was a LOT.

But she’d come this far, so...

"Just try to do it all an ignore, Celly... just do it an ignore... Ah! Idea..."

With a quick illusion spell, she removed the unsightly blemishes from her skin... well, from her sight at least. Out of sight, out of mind. Clearly that would never come back to haunt her in a horrific jumpscare moment. Nope. Impossible.

Thrusting a finger gun forward towards the eye-like growth, Celes aimed for the vile weakspot as best a Celes could aim whilst keeping one eye open, and the other barely peeking through her hand. A crack of thunder sounded as the lightning bolt hit, surprisingly right on target.

Velka had enough, every time she tried to land the perfect strike, she was always stopped by some external factor. Whether it be the the terrain, circumstances, errant strikes or just poor luck, her attacks never landed quite how she wanted them to. That was going to change, it didn't matter if Titanius' eyeball had lifted itself over the acid. What mattered is that it brought itself in range of her weapons, and she was going to take full advantage of it. She ignored the pain that dissonance wrought, ignored the acid as it ate away at her flesh and instead focused purely on destroying the eye. Her attack rang true, and the rush of combat ensured that wherever the eye went, she would follow.

Quinn has not been incredibly attentive at playing TerraSphere. While he had gotten many invites from friends to join Astorea on its crusade of some Lovecraftian horror, Quinn had more important things to do. Recently, he had joined a group chat specifically for memes. Every single day, without fail, he would do his share in bringing them the freshest. The day where the assault on Titanius was no different.

It was like any other day of late, the sun hiding behind the thick winter clouds that still drifted atop the sky. Spring was late and so was he, he had somehow fallen behind his usual chatting schedule while trying to troll the raid's group chat. So he came up with a perfect schedule where he can accomplish everything that day.

First, he had to replenish his famished body. A few months ago, he had found a way to grow wheat on someone's garden and has been grinding it to make noodles ever since. That day, he had a perfect cup of homemade noodles with perfect homemade broth and even the wooden chopsticks were painstakingly made from the finest of wood. Just as he was walking and eating his noodle at the same time @Usagi accepted Ivan's teleportation, which opened the portal leading to Titanius.

By the most unfortunate circumstance, Quinn was kicked into the wormhole and arriving at the scene and faceplanting into the kind of noodles he didn't want a mouthful of. After picking himself up from the ground, he immediately checked on his cup of noodles, which was perfectly frozen in time thanks to his Chronomancy.

"Ah crap, did I seriously get kicked into the world boss? I'm on a tight schedule today," he groaned, unfreezing his noodles so he can enjoy the rest of it. Looking at the scene going on around him made him lose appreciate, however, as he froze his noodles again and put it into his pocket, which produced an unsightly outline.

"Alright, I guess since I've almost reach the maximum word count It's time to do a super brief attack that's not super descriptive... ah got it."

And so, the green haired tactician walked over to one of the converted cultists and used his illusion to get them to run into the acidic pool and hit on the boss. It was the perfect non-descriptive attack to save some word space.

Just as the Cultists where dealt with, The eye which had been sitting in the corner the entire time not really doing anything moved. It floated its way to the center of the acid pool and looked down upon them all.

This saves us the trouble of getting closer I suppose.

Raid had a feeling that the people in here had finally caused enough trouble to receive more of the monster's attention. All around him players began to focus their attacks onto the floating eye hoping to bring it low before Titanius could do something to harm them with it.

Okay, lets see what I've got.

He muttered under his breath, hoping that his next attack could at least be respectable in comparison to his last one. The fire conjured in Raid's hands once more as he stared back at the eye. Glancing down at his hands he felt the flames flicker and burn in his grasp. He was in control. Raid let himself to enjoy the sound of the crackling fire and the feeling of control over something mystical for just for a moment. Then he zeroed in on his target and willed the flames forward. Without a moment's hesitation the fire left his hands expanding slightly as it soared toward Titanius' eye.

The blast hit, though as expected it was not quite as potent his first attack. Still, damage was damage and he felt this was a pretty solid chunk of it considering his actual progression in the game. As Raid prepared his next move, he starred up at the eye. He wondered what it would throw at them next. Surely there was still much to come.

As the battle raged on everyone was doing their part to contribute toward the downfall of Titanius. Alric on the other hand couldn't help but feel somewhat… Useless? He hadn't done much except run since the start of the fight and the other players had always been quicker to act whenever a new threat arrived on the scene. It was almost enough to discourage him. Only they were all meant to serve as distractions anyway. He figured he could at least try to do that.

Using his ring he traced out the words for his attack and by using own spirit's energy an ethereal lance manifested beside him. With his knife drawn acting as a crosshair he fired the spiritual polearm at the monster's eye.

_____With the eye moving Kaede could only grumble lightly, her own eyes watching as it moved over the acid causing her to click her tongue and sheath her dagger. Hands spreading outward as she coated herself in cosmic energy once more and set her sights on the nerves that carried the eye around. If she could just cut those they might be able to deal a decent numble with the acid against it also. Each hand holding black disk that sparkled before Kaede threw them out at her target and summoned more to keep up the assault.

_____Each disk cutting on its first pass before circling back and exploding against the nerves in homes to damage the openings they might have made the first pass around. Her attacks did however, leave her open as she focused purely on dealing damage and half hoping someone might keep her safe while she did their share of attacking. A girl could only hope right?~

The awkwardness of him arriving a little late aside, Jericho began to look around for the next possible target. But the rest of the cultists seem to have been easy enough for the rest of the team to dispatch. Water and pain inflicted on the ones in blue and strangely another one was convinced through talking? "I guess this is a rather realistic place." He said mostly to himself, a little surprised at this fact.

Scanning further he saw that @Raid had been quite hurt from the blow taken from the tentacle, he may have still been standing but it was quite obvious it had been a rather harrowing blow. @Daegon Malak seem to notice this too as he threw Raid the potion. That's good, that would at least help the situation. A further scan was interrupted by Daegon asking what their next goal should be.

Thinking on that it was then that the eyes seemed to drift over the acid pit. Hmm, he had been trying to avoid those for all it was worth. But, you had to risk it for the reward sometimes! "Like I said before we go for the gold!" He said before leaping into the acid pit, like a hawk, to go for the eyes! Wading through and leaping up, making a stab for this things headlights! Unfortunately he was only really able to scratch the surface. Oh well, it was still damage he guessed...
