A ringing sensation lingered in Sean's ears, accompanied by a burning sensation. I thought I'm dead, he pondered. Mustering a small bit of strength, he lifted himself up into a kneeing position. I'm... Still here? He quickly looked around. The battlefield raged in a mixture of flame and frost. Looking to the middle of the room, he noticed two figures. I guess this is another phase.

"My name's Alphabet Chocolate, and I'm your new mother! Welcome to life, Reddy!"

Upon hearing a voice, Sean gazed up to see who brought him back. "Th-thank you..." After processing the line a bit longer, he suddenly blushed a deep red. "Wait, mother!? But... Uh... Er..." He fumbled for words in the midst of the confusion. "Er, we got a fight to win. I'll repay you later." Getting up into a full stand, Sean typed something into the text chat.

I won't give up that easily!

As Sean examined the situation, he noticed that his immediate vicinity was engulfed in flames. I've got an idea! He puts all his energy into his magic to pick up the flames around him, and hurled them at Astor. "Special delivery!"

"...Ah, thank you Janet." Haru accepts the broccoli with tired grace. Seriously, what was even supposed to be happening anymore? He gets a sneaking suspicion that the Dissonance is fogging up his mind again, and so decides that now isn't exactly a very good time to really try puzzling out how the world works right now. Right now he focuses upon the healing properties of this life given plant, and focusing on bolstering it's healing magic to repair his own body further to the point where he can move again. It didn't help that he has been trying to ignore everything but this process ever since the snowstorm came up. On the bright side, it was finally clearing up thanks to the help of his friends. Thank goodness...

Stop drop and roll. Stop drop and roll.

That was the motto, right? Only, halfway before a panicked Alkaid could even mentally follow through on that she remembered that didn't exactly work when everything was being set on fire.

Gasping for breath, Alkaid acted on instinct (because fire and pain settings were not fun). Using Aeromancy to stave off the flame and pull in cold air from a still frozen Zone, she managed to finally reach a state where she could observe her surroundings and notice the storm @Yule had built up. Now stretching across two Zones, the downpour provided sweet relief for her burnt, blood-soaked skin.

Whether or not the storm itself could put out the flame was definitely a question, but she carried on and manipulated the air pressure around them, magically strengthening the storm while in part hoping that maybe lightning might strike their foes by chance, doubtful as it was.

Which then left was making sure the flame couldn't build. In attempt to scatter the flames, and perhaps melt the ice for those in Zone 4, Alkaid tried to blow the fire around that way, maybe giving those there a catalyst with which to melt the ice.

Oh. Oh he was so very very late... Nikephoros, who had been following the group on foot, had become rather distracted when spiders and statues and slaughter had broken out. As the world had crumbled into concrete and chaos, the elven man had found himself buried under an avalanche of museum, doomed to become its next exhibit. But as others had run ahead, or crawled from the rubble, he had been buried and fallen behind. Slowly, he dug himself out... slowly, he found his escape, and in freeing himself, was able to march on and rejoin the others. He came squeezed through darkness and chipped away at harsh stone that enclosed the path ahead, until the walls parted enough for him to slip into the cavern and land in the flames of Zone 2 amidst allies. Above and behind, the walls closed up, blocking off the way he had come.

"Sorry I'm late, I had a building fall on... Is that Astor? What the hell."

What the hell. Well, anyway, things were on fire and fire was bad. Reaching into a pouch, the man produced several stones covered in moss and tossed them upon the ground. Channeling some of his nature magic into them, they began to expand across the ground where the fires snapped and crackled, using the moisture that filled the air from the thawing frozen zones in order to soak the ground and put out the flames. As far as cool guy entrances went, it was par.

In the hectic confrontation, in a rather miserable time for Jericho a voice spoke to him granting him health when he went to the respite. That was good, he needed that very much! Though that became almost too apparent when the hellish flames fell upon him. Without that heal he had no idea where he would be right now! Possibly a roasted corpse on the ground... Let us not think about that!

"Fire! Why is it always fire!?" He said trying the pat out the flames on his cloak, which was looking pretty worn now. The fire was everywhere, not a single part of this zone was clear. He saw @Yule again using her water to combat this force. It was pretty awesome. Jericho wanted to help but thinking on his masteries what could he really do right now!? He could... spin kick the flames out? Maybe stab at them? No that was dumb. He could hide the fl-. It didn't really matter at that point as others had completed what need to be done.

"Uhh, nice job guys!" He cheered. It always seemed like he was late to act allot in these events. Oh well, he was new and in the middle of a big boss battle. "I'm gonna go kill one of those valkyries," He pointed, trying not to embarrass himself further. He hugged the ground and shadows cast by the blazes and obsidian rocks around him. Leaping up he stabbed one of them in the side. Much better damage than before! Maybe he was getting the hang of this.

When he landed he placed his hands upon his knees, gasping a little. He was getting tired. The damage he had sustained so far probably wasn't helping things either! What to do next? He could rest for a minute or go for another attack. He had to pick carefully. He definitely didn't want to find out what happens to someone who runs out of energy.

Well, the literal fires were put out, but the figurative ones still raged all over the place. Looking at his allies, Nikephoros concluded that he was at least for the moment better off than certain of his comrades, and judging by the way those minions were looking, something big was coming. Stepping forward, he placed himself between @Yule and the Valkyrie, lashing out at them with his ranseur and shielding the smaller figure from whatever was about to hit next.

It was his duty, after all.

Weapons at the forge were heated to be made malleable and were then beaten with hammers to create the perfect shape. Even the ugliest and most worthless pieces of metal could have their purposes renewed but if a smith was too careless, all of that effort would be for naught. Thoroughly scorched and and barely standing, Ceres felt like she was about to shatter. While the people at Zone 2 were doing their best, she had to leave lest she end up dead. Time was running out and she never was a big of being set on fire.

Getting to the next zone was a daunting task however, and Ceres wasn't sure she would make it without her magic. Channeling a few words, she found a path that would minimize the scorching flames and bitter cold she would expose herself to. Now in Zone 3, she took a moment to catch her breath and realized that their ally didn't even respond. And now she couldn't find him in the midst of all the chaos, they would truly need a miracle to get through this fight, especially since it seemed like quite a large number of their forces were occupied with something else.

    Zone 3

Thanks to the combined work of the players in zone 3, the ice was slowly but surely dealt with. Due to the efforts of @Rivers Asteire, large ice walls were raised and used as a shield to protect the adventurers from the cold wind that assaulted their bodies. Meanwhile, @Corvella and @Raid heated the icy ground just enough so @Velka and @Aristides could break down the frozen landscape and throw it towards the fire. With a major portion of the tainted ice gone, the natural heat and the smoke from the other half of the obsidian area was enough to completely rid the zone of any tainted icicle.

Oho, look at that, queen. Don’t you believe the mongrels on that zone could become excellent slaves? How amusing. They can dig through tainted ice! I can picture them working on a glorious monument for me already. If they’re slaves, I won’t need to think about taxes, either… How tempting.

    Zone 1

On the other hand, the group in zone 1 had a much more aggressive take on dealing with the fire. First, @Madison Freebird, in all her rage, casted a spell to grow magnificent vines that tore through the black crystal and extended towards the royal duo. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite strong enough on its own — thanks to the combined effort of @Quinn and @Alric Stalwart, however, the vines had their growth speed increased and had more oxygen to remain alive for far longer than before. With the flames being controlled @Emil Trevelyan and a storm limiting the dark fire’s effect, the only flammable material (vines) was alight in a glorious black fire. It reached out for Astor, generating a blast of fire upon contact.

UAAAAAAAAARGH, AAAAA! It was very effective! -AAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! ...or not.

I, I can’t believe this, hahaha… The fire subsided and the vines were burnt to a crisp, revealing his disgusting and mocking smile. That plan had such a great execution, but to think this was the futile end goal…! He seemed very entertained.

I am impressed you considered that ridiculous plan of yours to work against me, mongrels! What a wonderful plot twist!

    Zone 2

His eyes gazed another one of the hellish zones. Amidst the black fire, a pure white fought back the tainted flames. Through using a large quantities of her energy, @Yule managed to fight the fire from above and below. Her rain became even more powerful when @Daegon Malak utilized his black magic to drain the taint from the flames, forcefully turning them into your average fire — which was much easier to put out. Thanks to @Alkaid Zexis, the storm became even stronger, and because of that, @Sean Poteitoku could manage to control the flames around him a redirect them at Astor, though they puffed out on the way. The fire was eventually extinguished when @Nikephoros used his nature magic, which befitted of the storm tremendously.

Oh, an interesting collection of talents! I wonder if those mongrels would work for me as gardeners. Perhaps plague exterminators, hmm.

Fed up with his boring antics, D’vangeline decided to act herself. She readied her lance and shield before flexing her legs and jumping towards zone 3 in an instant — the amount of power behind her landing managed to crack the obsidian ground with ease. Eyes glaring at the adventurers present, she entered a battle stance.

Now then, let us begin~! Watching the world burn is no fun. I’d rather dance until death… Not mine, of course!

    Zone 4

Zone 4 was a complete bore and Astor did not even give their attempt a glance. Through haphazard cooperation and effort that built off of one another, starting with the pretend knight, @Rudiford Gwyndel, punch-girl @Portia Ahrens and wannabe hero @Yule clearing the path for the rest of the party to help the unfortunates who were caught by the nasty ice, @Usagi was able to get her strange contraption to work in melting the ice, all with out malfunctioning. In combination with @Celestine funneling the cold air to the other side, the ice hindrance was mostly cleared.

“Thanks…” He murmured in response to Emil’s praise for his actions. Though it hadn't been much their combined efforts seemed to be keeping them alive a little while longer. Tracing his spell ring through the air, Alric managed to cast a minor healing spell on himself, counteracting some of the burns he had suffered from Evil Astor’s onslaught.

He wasn't sure how much longer they'd be able to hold out like this. A couple of adventurers had already succumbed to their wounds after all. Unless they managed to take down at least one of the rulers soon he was certain the rest of the raid group would be joining their friends in the afterlife.

After tossing the fire, Sean hissed. It didn't even hit him! Looking around at his companions, it seems they have taken care of the rest of the fire. Good, I don't have to worry about burning to death. He backed up a bit to get distance from the male figure, just in case he used a close-range area of effect spell. Focusing his hand at him, he began to shout.

Plague extermination, you say? Why, I'd love to exterminate a plague for you. JUST HOLD STILL!

"G-Golly it... it's chilly in here..." Charlotte stuttered as the blonde guy commanded both ice and fire. Apparently, he even took care of some... other thing... in the ceiling? Was this like a three-way battle? Either way, even with the snap-frost chilling her very core, Charlotte's plan succeeded! Princess Black didn't put a hole through Charlotte after all. Yay.

Instead, they had other problems. As the white-hair witnessed people on other corners of the battlefield fighting the created environmental hazards of Astor, she tried to animate her group, too.

    "Enchant my weapon with fire!"
    "Melt the ice!"
    "SNOWBALL FIGHT!"

And other attempts fell on deaf ears. Bluntly: They absolutely sucked. "Well..." In that case, it was time for Plan A

    A for "Abandon Ship".

It was either between Zone 3 or 2—"Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope, all of my Nopes." Zone 2 it was. Definitely Zone 2. The moment princess black decided to grace Zone 3 with her presence the decision had been made.

Just like that, Charlotte simply walked over. Or, at least, would have liked to simply walk over! But even that turned out to be quite an annoyance with all the ice and the fire and whatnot. Gosh, why couldn't the next element thrown around to be some healing light instead?

Charles did it, though. Alive, still. Part of her skin was burned, other frozen into dead flesh. It was a slow-kind of pain that turned her rather numb than anything. And who knew what would happen to Zone-4-aka-the-loser-team?

With ALL THAT repositioning and time-wasting finally done. Charlotte Breuil wanted to, more than ever, just hit things. Hit things really hard. And the blonde-dude that looked like one of her ex-boyfriends was just perfect for stress-relief.

"Hey Blondie, Axe and you shall be cleaved!" This time, Charlotte would hold back. Concentrating more on her defense as, once again, her little love-taps did pretty much nothing.

This battle was getting worse and worse as time went by, regal figures that Luna had never even seen before had appeared and started wounding and hurting everybody, but one figure in particular, one act, made Luna see red. Made her feel anger. Hate. Malice.

She watched @Kaede Hoshi fly overhead, almost certainly dead before she hit the floor, a hollow feeling in her chest as an awful burning rage started to claw at her throat, her heart, her very soul. The ruby on her staff glinted blood red, she was angry beyond all belief, it stained her vision red. The flower over her eye glowed, crimson spreading out from the center, before it burst into flames and started to wither. Rage. Anger. Rip. TEAR. MUTILATE!

A wordless scream tore itself from her lips as she clutched her chest and stared brokenly at Kaede's corpse, the low growling of Natiri filled her mind. Blood. They required blood! A kill for a kill! LIFE FOR LIFE!

    "NATIRI, RIP THEM TO PIECES!"
With a scream, she commanded her best friend to commit murder, to tear into the closest enemy. And the tigress obliged, bounding off of a mound and savaging the wing of a Valkyrie she leapt past, sending it to earth. But the tigress wasn't done there, turning back around to maul the creature whilst it writhed on the floor, staining her fur red with blood, the color of Luna's hate.

And when that was done, Luna collapsed, like a puppet with her strings cut. Was anybody even alive here anymore? Where were they? They had to be here! @Lucia Mierz and @Portia Ahrens were here somewhere! Were they alright? "Lucia!? Portia!?"

    She sobbed.

Rudiford was growing increasingly more concerned as a number of people starting leaving the zone in search of a greener pasture. Although he knew that going to a different part of the chamber was a lot more efficient now that everyone else was able to deal with their situation, there were still people in Zone 4 who were stuck in the snow and hindering by the ice, which prevented their escape.

After he made a choice to stick with them and work on dealing with the freeze, he began to cut down sharp icicles and smashing slippery surfaces to make it easier for his team to move through and take care of the ice. Anything else was somewhat affected by the rage that seeped from his skin due to Berserk.

"Hey gang, don't abandon ship now, there are still a lot of people stuck in the ice, freezing to death, go help them and try to get rid of the ice. I can't exactly do much more than making all of y'all job easier," Rudi addressed the group, namely @Ilusa Nakhalee @Celestine @Lucia Mierz @Libitina Cerin @Portia Ahrens, hoping they would help the zone since the ice seemed like it would hinder them later on.

Then, he opened up his palm menu and smashed on the communication button before he furiously tapped on the key panel, typing out a message.

Words of @Rudiford Gwyndel made her only bite her lips, before managing a reply.

“I know.” There was… Pain in those words. But in such chaotic battle probably no one realised that.

Feeling something crushing down on her, she watched the twisted version of someone, who she was forced to realise in most unpleasant way, that was a dear to her person. As the protective white girls disappeared, he was attacked and hurt.

Her red eyes widened, the ears flattened even more into her skull, blending into her hair almost completely. He was hurt. He was hurt. Astor was hurt. His health was dropping. “Trülfar bärnoi dunhyohan-turya-” Light appeared on her hands as, like was her habit, she started to chant a spell to heal him. “-Frakastani fruhlaishi- No.” Sharply she turned around, forcing herself to loose him from her sight. Her hands clenched, gripping the light and extinguishing it, cancelling the spell. Her hands shook, her shoulders shook and something resembling a sob was kept barely inside her. Two wet dots appeared on the ground, before she used the sleeve of her tunic to wipe her face.

Her heart beat sharply. She shook her head, but as she did that, the whole area became frozen. Sharp, jagged ice rose from the ground. The temperature pummelled but elsewhere, the temperature skyrocketed.

In a way, she was one of the lucky ones in this zone. Her cloak had kept her feeling.. Somewhat chilly. Yet, she was better compared to others, who were almost literally freezing. Still, her health dropped as did that of her protector.. Who even goaded by this twisted visage of Astor did not take the blonde on his offer. That had to be recified.

“Trülfar bärnoi dunhyohan-turya, moitrashnahya prëhär.” Again light lit between her hand. They slightly shook as the white, warm wisps spread before her. “Imsemne ho gresi hjaltär. Renta rura vresti lupre. Drestau.” It spread, seeping into her, restoring some of the health and it also moved to wrap warmly around- Rudiford moved when she was not looking and the spell hit someone else, a Player named Yule. Luckily no one knew that this was an accident on her side.
