  1. Day one
Ko rolled out of bed this morning with a smile on his face already. He was excited about the game that he was going to be signing into later. So when it was time to sign in he moved himself over to his gear. Then he looked out towards the door of his room. He got up for a second. "Hey I'll be gaming for a little bit. tap my shoulder to remind me about lunch." He yelled out to no one in particular. He went back into his room closed the door behind him put the gear on and got himself into the character making area. He smiled to himself knowing full well what he would end up doing with himself this time. He started to make his character. His ears having tips on them making him look a bit like an elf or something. Then he made himself far smaller than he was in real life. His hair was white his eyes red and he smiled as he made sure everything looked just right. Yup that was all he needed to do.

A few seconds later and he had chosen his name and smirked at himself. "Link Start He said as he was taken into the game and happily smiling to himself he opened his eyes seeing trees all around him. He couldn't help but feel even more excited. A place they could all build themselves. Places you could take control of and places that were there to help you out in doing so. He was going to need to find a guild but first he needed to get past this forest and to the light that he could see shinning in the distance. That had to be the first place right. The first place to start this adventure. He started walking through the forest looking around.

A few moments later he found himself intrigued and running up a tree. The climb skill was interesting and he was very happy he had it. He turned to look from the trees and smiled. The town wasn't that far away and then he heard the sounds of the animals in the forest. Well this was interesting. Yes he was happy to know this would be good hunting grounds. He took another moment to see if he could find where he would be safest to move through the forest. He found a path and then ran climbed down and jumped when he was low enough landing and then heading again towards the town making sure hew as ready to take something out should he need too.

  2. Seto had given up one the purple haired women being too excited and made some distance away. Walking away towards the middle, The Whole center of the town was a bit much for one person to take it all in but at the same time it was comforting for some odd reason but Seto couldn't his finger on it why something just felt off, he must have seen thinking into something far too much. Crossing his arms across his chest, Seto lips grinned as he began thinking and looking around for anyone who might be able to provide him any valuable information when a serious looking red headed girl approached him and asked: him "You know what town this is?". Hearing her voice directed at him surprised him a bit but didn't faze him much as he turned to the young girl. Raising his voice for her to hear him while speaking in a polite accent, perhaps they could group up or something considering most players so far were too far out of it and Seto couldn't outright blame them but that didn't mean they had to be clueless five-year-old idiots.

"Sorry Miss I don't know...I've already tried asking the NPC's for any valuable information here yet they couldn't provide an answer. I don't believe this town is the real one considering the Wursht Outpost is basically the true town so to say in this area. This small town or village was the half way point I believe for those who spawned in the forest behind. You seem like the only other player I've met that isn't out of it,"

Seto hesitated as he looked at a stall before turning his head left and looked at Alia for a moment before speaking. He quickly scanned her while not making obvious although he was not doing it in a stalkerish nor in a perverted way, he wanted to see what type of person she was, after all, you could sometimes tell by their body language and face expression. Seto began speaking again in a serious tone, wanting to let the girl he was serious and wasn't kidding or joking.

"Do you want to team up and work together? You like an honorable person...I believe we do could more and cover more ground and perhaps in the future do some grinding together. We be better off then alone like many of these players running amok aimlessly..my name is Seto...pleased to meet you, miss."

  3. Alia was taking in the notes that everyone seemed to be way to excited to be in here. Sure she was excited but she was more serious and calm in her own excitement. Plus she wanted to head out and find some things to do before she would have to sign off. She had a few hours and she wanted to make the most of the amount of time she figured she was going to be given before dinner and all the other things that needed to happen today. She took a moment and waited for the male before her to answer her. She was one of those people that would go and talk to those that looked like they knew more about what was going on or more serious. Ones that weren't looking so excited and nearly screaming about what was going on here. She shrugged off the others and when the male spoke she gave him a kind smile. He seemed to be a little older than she was and she was okay with that.

She listened carefully to his words her body posture that of someone who held themselve much older than they really were and one that was might need to lighten up a little bit but was otherwise kind but knew when she needed to do things. Her smile seemed to widen when he said that she seemed to be the only other player not out of it. "Well it would generally put a few people off. After all its likely the first time being in a full dive game. I mean i've not been in a full dive game but i have done other types of simulation that put you in this sort of thing so it wasn't as odd to me." She took amoment thinking about what he said about where they were. "Well that makes sense actually. I had to walk through the forest to get here so perhaps heading out the other side of this outpost will get us closer to something a little bigger. You didn't happen to get any quests from any of the npc's here did you?" She questioned and then looked around them shaking her head at a few of the others that seemed to be checking themself.

"Sure I'm up for working at a team. we can get more done that way. create what we want when we get the chance." She smiled at him and then went to look for the group invite. "I'm Alia and its a pleasure to meet you Seto." She curtsed and then stood back up. It was kinda just a thing that she was used to doing and how she was brought up. She finally found the button and sent him an invite to party up.

    @Seto Kurama

  4. this girl whom he just met seemed more serious then other players he met so far which was a big plus for him, he really couldn't stand someone who liked to mess and joke around all the time, sure there was always a time and place for everything but that didn't mean they had to carry on like children. Seto appreciated when she gave her his complete attention when he told her what she wanted to hear, He hoped she listened well listened and remember what he told her even if it wasn't much, it was still better then nothing. It was nice when she gave Seto a big smile although he was sure it probably wasn't intentional he didn't mind, it actually looked like a real smile that was made for a real reason and it was a good thing since Seto meant what he said. "I suppose it would, you are right but am blunt and honest with people. I won't walk around eggshells, If you or someone needs to hear the truth to save yourself then so be it...There is no point in running away from it, you never succeed and you won't grow." Seto took in a breath after stopped talking for a mere couple of seconds to gather his thoughts before continuing again for his response. "I haven't had much experience with VR since the closed beta of the game awhile back but it's completely different now then it was back then and then with being a professional driver in real life, I guess you could say I was too busy to have too much fun."

In his mind, Seto facepalmed himself hard, he couldn't believe he didn't catch himself talking, he had let out some personal information about his life. He didn't hate it outright, he was just a tad annoyed that the media might somehow find out he's here, something he did not want but this girl didn't look like the type that start gossip or rumors, she looked like the opposite from Seto seen of her so far. He guessed he have to put some faith in her than. As he gathered his thoughts, he heard her second question regarding quests, she was going to be disappointed when he told her there wasn't much, not something she probably wants to do." Sorry to disappoint Miss but there ain't much in the ways of quest here besides tutorials....most of I've seen so far as real quests are made up quests made by questionables who think robbery and performing smut is acceptable. I haven't seen it in a bit though, they probably left after getting bored." When he was done speaking this time, she looked a bit distracted, most likely by the other players. Seto turned in the direction she looked and saw a few players open their menu's. didn't matter though, this girl was a strong listener as Seto was a little relieved when she agreed to work with him, he rather work with someone than being alone and this player was a plus, being a serious person or maybe it's was determination? It was hard to tell at times.
"It's also my please as well to meet you as well Alia, hopefully, we can kick some ass as a team when we start to get things rolling. I look forward to working with you." Just as Alia made him, he sent one back towards her as he nodded. Seto opened his Omni menu as well after he heard the ringing from his forearm. Opening the menu, he swiped to the group invite page and accepted Alia's request to group up. Using his left finger, he swiped a few pages and sent her a friend request as well since they would be working together for quite some times. He then closed his Omni menu before lowering his arm and bringing his full attention on Alia again. 'I've also sent you a friend request since well be working together for some time, it might be a few minutes to a couple of weeks or maybe more, I don't mind, I appreciate the help you offered me." Seto then moved his entire body on the opposite side he was facing before then with him bringing up his right hand which pointed to the other side of the town however he was pointing to the other path that was leading out of the town or village that led to the outpost.

"See where my finger is pointing? on the outskirts on the opposite side of this town or village, there is a path leads to the outpost. You should be able to see it from here although it might be a bit difficult with...some of these players running amok." Seto then lowered his hand and turned around to face Alia who might as well has a thousand questions for all he knew but he didn't mind really.

"Let me know when you're ready to leave, I don't know if you wanted to stay here a bit longer and see what's here or if you were ready to go from the geck go. I don't mind either way, am ready when you are."

  5. Kaito’s cerulean eyes flicked to life, dark blue strands of his bangs mixing with the bright green canopy of leaves and branches above. His body felt stiff and new, once again crawling into a new form. But at the same time somewhat familiar as the half hour spend in the character creator was spent recreating the young man he played as so many years ago. He wondered if Richard, Alena and the rest of the staff were getting impatient during that time. And that realization made him remember he needed to check in with his team. Sitting up from what seemed to be a little nook in a large redwood-like tree, he took note of the simple tunic, leather breastplate, trousers and boots and how similar this game took notes from Aincrad. It was already beginning to make the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end as he slid open the menu to find the outside communication tab AmuSphere’s were made standard with.

[Alena, do you copy? I’ve made a successful shift into the game proper, over.] Kaito was directing his thoughts via a wordless “Whisper” system that MMOs had but after a few seconds of silence, a quiet panic was beginning to set in, [Alena, do you read me? The FullDive was a success. And… I have full body paralysis. I’m fully here in game.] More silence followed as the blue haired man took in a sharp breath, glancing around the area of this forest. He could hear the murmurings of others around him, between the forest as the occasional figure looking around in wonder and awe or the giggle and laughter of such an awesome world. It seemed like a strange place to have your players spawn into the world but the quiet reveal of others was purposeful. Past the treeline, he could see a sparkling pillar of light up towards the sky even in the middle of the day, like beacon to follow.

[… Alright. I’m going to continue to relay the situation going forward for posterity and in case you can hear me. It looks like the designers are giving players a subtle direction of where to start, so I’m going to follow that lead, over.] Kaito informed with a sigh as he walked forward in his new body. Past experience taught him that severely changing one’s appearance meant quite a readjustment period of literately walking in someone else’s shoes. Luckily he stuck with a height and body type similar to his own as he slipped past tree trunks, young saplings and underbrush towards the closest form of civilization.

Emerging on the other side, a small incline of a grassy knoll revealed what looked like a border town of some sort with wooden palisades and ribbons of brightly colored cloth giving off the spectacle of a festival of sorts. [Looks like a… greeting party of some sort for new players. So far no hostile NPCs, which is fine; we don’t have any weapons currently. Still going to keep my guard up for now. Hopefully the magic skill I picked up doesn’t require some sort of focus to use.] He relayed before humming softly to himself, [If that sounds weird, it’s… understandable.] Walking further into town, he could begin to tell who were computer characters and who were PCs by the extravagance of their design; every player in matching outfits but almost universally attractive in some way. Not that I’m one to talk. Kaito thought as he walked past his reflection in a gleaming metal shield, smirking a bit at his handsome, somewhat pretty boy appearance.

He heard the excited tones of players around him, probably many so used to artificial VR that they were too taken aback by the FullDive system to wonder just how realistic it could get. Though “realistic” to a point as every once in a while he’d see the pointed ears and soft features of what he gathered were elves and even the fuzzy ears on top of player’s heads and tail drifting behind them of what he gathered were Felis during character creation. One little thing probably unaware of just how she might have hit plenty of “affection points” with dark violet hair and amber eyes was speeding around, glancing at every vendor and item and practically jumping about like a toddler on her first trip to Disney World.

“Oh my god, this is awesome! Totally more than I expected!”

“Heh, better brace yourself then when you see your first major city. When you can create anything in one’s head, you can make worlds better than your own.” Kaito found himself responding to her own excitement from a little ways away, arm gingerly at his side in an air of familiarity and attempted coolness. “Hello lords an’ ladies! Might’cha need some refreshment of cider on this wonderful occasion?” Said a spry, lightly accented voice as bar maiden with a crown of wildflowers in her hair heaving a platter of wooden mugs. “Oh, uh, please!” Kaito reacted with a little surprise as he didn’t expect an NPC to interact first with him, grabbing two steins with a nod of thanks and offering it to the young looking cat girl. “We should count ourselves lucky getting that secret e-mail for this after all. Just… pace yourself, it’s going to get more exciting from here I bet. Enjoy the festival!” He didn’t know if she wanted to stick around or go exploring some more; it was only fair when a random stranger comes up to talk with someone. But he left it open for her to stay and chat, though keeping it civil was necessary. After all, he couldn’t exactly tell but she looked maybe ten years his junior, so he didn’t want to look sketchy. Or at least Kaito attempted to…

“Fantastic, this is just the thing I was looking for. Besides, who doesn’t love a good festival? Thanks kind sir, if ever you need a favor, don’t forget to call upon me. Aaron, Arron Steel, brave combatant and sexiest knight alive!”

Well, THAT is certainly a boast. Kaito thought as he heard a voice booming across the landscape of vendors and merry makers, a huff of a chuckle passing his lips as he thought he heard someone already in the roleplaying mood. Granted, when one was so immersed like this, it could be expected. Still, none of them looked anything else than Level 1 trainees, let alone valiant knights. But the massive guy seemed determined to make a day of this as they caught eyes and it Kaito could already see the beeline towards him. Oop, here we go…! He thought as a soft smile crossed his face.

"Aaron, Arron Steele, you play games often? I'm kind of new, but this seems fun, what do you think? I'm a bit unsure myself, wonder where we get our weapons and such... sorry I'm over here ranting. Didn't mean to be so rude."

“Oh, no, it’s cool. Day One of an MMO is a perfect excuse to throw modesty to the wind. Whoever made this game seemed to want us to have an exciting time.” Kaito responded as he toasted with the taller gentleman with a bit of a jock swagger, clinking with his wine, “Still, it is a bit strange to start us off with neither weapons nor armor to start with. I guess they want us to mingle and ask around, get us used to speaking with the NPCs about items or activities? That would be my first guess.” He bowed lightly to both Aaron and the cat girl if she was still around, “I’m Kaito Kitsuragi, there isn’t really classes per say that I can tell via character creation but you could consider me a ronin.”

  6. As he rambling continued for a bit he'd note the male's reaction and smile. Responding to his words he'd nod his head and agree; he was being too serious. It would probably be best to relax given it was only the first day after all. His eyes shifted as if to analyze the male before him smiling his words of the oddity were true however he'd rebuttal, "Well can't say it's religious but it is very realistic. Although we are not a baby, it's similar to the concept of being born again. Come into the world with nothing; leave the same. So I can understand their logic to a degree. Don't agree with it fully but what can I do; in most cases, folks are quick to find modest ways to solve it. But I honestly think it's sexy. Why can I spawn shirtless but the ladies can't right? Free the nip." he'd joke drinking from his cup as his eyes scanned about the ladies.

Listening to the male continue responding to his inquiries he'd nod, "I can dig it wait, was Ronin samurai or ninja. I don't recall. I want to say there was that one movie with the last samurai old flick but totally said ronin a lot. Gonna go with samurai for five hundred Alex." Eyes shifting over to the cat girl he'd bow to he too would join, "Ahhh so who is the kitten?" he'd say some chuckling before noting another stand. "Well, not point sitting about here making small talk when they are handing out some free stuff. I think I see a vendor giving out some cloth attire for some help gathering stuff? Anyone up to get some clothes on or shall we run around naked with swords and such...eh I'm going to go gather gear either way."

Taking his leave he'd disband from the group had they not followed. Making his way to the merchant he'd ask the male what he was to be tasked with. The reply was to gather some veggies not far off from the farmer in exchange for the wear. Turning to see if the others would join he'd wait to see their reply. If not he'd begin heading off to the farm to gather the needed veggies. The list contained Carrots, Eggplant, and Cabbages. Making his way down the path some there was a small stand with those same ingredients. However, this stall owner wanted him to give her some gold. Being short he'd sigh and prepare to walk until she explained she could accept another offer; perhaps a favor. Then a second quest would appear as she desired some medicine for her sick pet; listing the symptoms.

Accepting he'd back track towards where they had the drinks remembering a stand with an alchemist or something like such. Asking about medicine for an animal; describing the symptoms he'd find out it was a simple fix but not free. His eyes shifting to the side as he asked what they wanted for it and in the end, it appeared it was an easy task. They wanted some help crafting some potions. As he went behind the stand he was asked to mix some blends and add some spices setting them up in a container for the alchemist who was busy peddling. once complete the alchemist would craft the potions and then hand over the cure. So the chain ended. Trading the cure for veggies and the veggies for the clothes he'd grin and finally get dressed.

"Wow, such a tedious way to teach us to accept quests; inquire about quest alternatives and minimal tasks to help others without crafting; since I don't have the skill. Although that is still nice to know what to look for to trade for potions to an alchemist. Eh either way, no longer naked. Wonder how the others are coming along."

Eyes scanned about for a vendor willing to trade a shitty sword or shield. His attention shifting to see if he could spot Kaito again or the cat girl. Noting the former and making his way once more, "Sup broseph, what do you think of the threads? Don't I just scream noob now, things got patches. But was relatively free, a few chain quests but eh. Find a weapons shop or anything useful. Need me a sword and board."

  7. All of the sudden there were people talking to her and she looked over at the first who had spoken to her. She tilted her head to the side for a small moment as she let herself calm down a little bit. "you mean you were in on the beta?' Her eyes seemed to be glowing with interest. She might have looked sixteen or so here just to match a slightly more carefree spirit of the felis in her head. She wondered what this man wanted to do with is time here or how young she really was compared to the other players. She was after all eighteen outside of game. She took a moment to look around her. So the cities were even more spectacular. "Thanks for the advice" She called out to him and then fully calmed herself down so that she could actually socialize with the people around her. She was extremely excited but if she wanted to get information and talk to people, then she was going to have to contain herself a little bit.

Before she could ask the man who had approached her anything else another man came up. She rolled her eyes inside her head at least and just plastered a polite smile on her face after the boasting of the Knight now before them. She listened to what the other said falling silent and more reserved now. Isolt was like this usually when around a group of people. Getting shier by the second because of the crowd and finally realizing that she was in the middle of one and with a bunch of people she didn't know. Well, she could do this she was just going to mingle and get comfortable again. The initial shock kinda leaving her making her realize that she should have just kept that shocked thing going on.

She snapped back to reality when names were given. "I'm Isolt Veera. Pleasure to meet you both." She said with a smile on her face and trying to get herself out of the shocked funk of being around people she wasn't sure about. She now had names to faces and so this was a little easier and since it was just the three of them right now she was good with it. And so she flicked her tail a bit and her ears twitched as she tried to take everything in. A night and a Ronin. She wanted to answer for Kaito but felt it wasn't her place. A ronin really could have been anything before they became ronin or they could have been born ronin as far as all the dictated in history and all that. Ronin were really cool in her head. And Aaron was basically a knight which was cool too. She could really be considered anything at this point but she had tailored herself to be a crafter.

"Well after I get used to the crafting system in here I should be able to cook and making healing potions and posions. So I'm a crafter." she said with a bit of pride in her tone. She had pretty much just followed or stayed in the middle of where the boys had gone. She was dressed in a dress she ahd gotten from one of the vendors but it was something that was old and patched up. Still it didn't really matter she liked it. It fit her at the moment. She would get better stuff later but getting swords sounded like a good idea.

  8. Some people would say that Alia didn't have an un-serious bone in her body. At least that what most people thought but when she took care of younger siblings and had little time for play because she was the eldest it was kinda hard for her to let loose and that was part of the reason why she was in here. It was a way in part to relax and goof off but upon first entering she just couldn't not be serious. The fun came after grinding and getting what one needed to level or make themselves better in this game. So there were things that needed to be focused on though with the right people and the right push she would be able to let loose a little bit but that was for another time. She actually giggled when he mentioned being blunt. "There is nothing wrong with that. walking on eggshells is never a fun things and honesty is the best policy. Though i wonder sometimes when it comes to politics but that's all completely true." She spoke in regards to what he was saying. Being blunt and honest with people allowed people to grow and everyone needed that one person that would do that so she was happy that Seto was on the same page for now.

"You are a professiona driver?" She questioned a little curious. She had never thought of people like that playing these types of games so color her a bit surprised. "Race car driver right." She did come from high society so she wanted to make sure she knew what venue he drove in. She rather liked limo drivers too some of them were really funny. But professional race car drivers were a breed all their own and not something her parents would every be too happy that she associated with but she didn't care at the current moment. She wouldn't actually say anything to anyone about it. She was not that type of person. He seemed to stop right there too and she caught the subtleness of annoyance coming from him but she didn't say anything more on that matter. Though if he answered her questions she would give him a little insight to her own life as payment for it. After all that's how that worked didn't it.

She gave him a nod when he mentioned that the quests here were mostly tutorials and since she was sure that she'd figure things out the hard way she didn't really need to go through the tutorials and if she did she's come back to them later. She figured she's be spawning her each time she started the game for the first bit until she found some other place to spawn in at or something like that. Also who better to teach you a game then someone who had been in it before and of course your own ingenuity and she learned quick. "I'm glad those types of people have left." She wouldn't want to do anything like robbery or smut that was just not her. "Look forward to working with you too." She said as she went back to giving him her full attention.

She accepted his friend request as he sent it. The joys of actually having read a VR manual before but never getting to play the game. She followed where her was point. The path to the outpost looked straight foward. "Well I do need to find some cheap sword but i think that I should be able to get through that. if you have something. Is the path ahead full of monsters?" She questioned not knowing and hoping he might know a bit. She was ready whenever hew as ready. "Though I'd prefer to be out of here as fast as possible." She looked around at the other players and wanted to roll her eyes but she didn't as she looked back at Seto. "you think i should get a sword first?"

    @Seto Kurama

  9. Ryosuke had always been a serious person since he was a kid or you could even go as far as he could remember, it was just a part of his nature he couldn't change so when he made his avatar, Seto it was obvious that Ryosuke's personality would bed reflected into Seto since Ryosuke couldn't play a character that wasn't him if that made any type of sense. Ryosuke knew he was this way due to the fact he was forced to mature at an early age to help the family business and yet when he became a teenager, it became more apparent he had to mature even quicker when his father had him make delivers at thirteen so there wasn't much time for fun for Ryosuke until he was older, right as he graduated from his high school where he bought his Nissan R34 and began his new career of racing. Over time he did learn to break loose and relax but only after becoming an adult and going through many experiences, particularly when he met his former fiance, for some reason or another, women had put him at ease, it was nothing sexual or perverted, he just felt like he could relax around them.

Seto raised an eyebrow somewhat when he heard Alia giggle a bit, it was a little surprising since she was like him but then again she was a girl and it was formal to giggle and laugh. "It's a pretty good thing I met you then, your one of those rarest of people that understand, that's a relief to me trust me., I don't exactly like dishonesty myself." Seto had to laugh a bit that time, he was happy they thought similar and were on the page, he wondered how many things they had in common with each other. He could this was going to be a beautiful thing....as partners of course. Then the question he feared most came out from Alia. Seto face palmed himself in his mind with hand slowing falling down his face, showing a disappointed face to himself. He might as well come clean with her since it was probably bound come up eventually at some point, he rather just get it over with now anyway.

"Yeah I guess you could say that we don't really say Race car driver in Japan but yeah, I did amateur circuit racing back when I was a kid and as a teenager, my old man forced me on it to train me for delivery around mount. Fuji for the family business. I got into the GT championship racing when I was an adult after making a name for myself on the streets around Fuji. I got out..." Seto had hesitated for a moment, with a flashback of his final race, something he hated beyond anything to remember, this game helped escape from that memory by being someone else although it didn't work all the time.
"A few years ago and published a book. Haven't done much since then, I don't really have to, I am an instructor at times though when I get bored." Seto shrugged his shoulders before shaking his head.
"Sorry about that, didn't mean to bore you with all that car talk, Since your the only good person on here who's been honest, I thought I repay your kindness with the same kindness you showed me...but keep it to yourself ok? The media wouldn't leave me alone if they found out since I disappeared a few years back."

Alia simply nodded towards since he had her previous question about the area with quests. He was also a bit relieved when she told him she didn't like those type of people and he couldn't blame her. He guessed she didn't want to do the tutorials either, something else he couldn't blame her for, he figured she wanted to figure out things worked like he did back in the beta. Although things were different in the beta, most of the game mechanics were the same, he mind didn't teaching her since she was one of those rare types of players he considered "good" therefore he wouldn't be wasting his time with her. He didn't know how long she be active in this game but he wouldn't hold something like that against her. Seto simply nodded when Alia told she was eagered as well to work together before she mentioned wanting a sword. Seto had been wanting a sword since he first spawned earlier in the day but this part mostly harmless although he did hear a rumor earlier that a player spawned in a wolf den, that had to be fun to spawn in, Seto thought to himself. He had put his left hand on his chin that covered the entire front and part of his lower jaw with his thumb on the other side. The spawning area itself wasn't dangerous unless you want into the caves or going towards the mountains, after all, this is where first time players would spawn, wouldn't make much sense to spawn them somewhere they could die easily." I couldn't say for certain but I doubt the path to the outpost is crawling with monsters since this the spawning area for new players. I don't honestly think you find much in terms of weaponry unless you can find the materials to craft one so we probably be fine, after the outpost, however, is a different story. If there was a smithy in this village and I had the materials, I could use my skill to craft Katana's for us...you seem like the type whom would use a katana, I myself would need a Dai Katana for taking out cavalry or large prey. Speaking of which we don't know each other skills, my skills are Two handed slash, guard and blacksmith because everything is better with a katana."

Seto lowered his hand from his chin as looked around the village one last time before bringing his attention to Alia again. "I agree with you, we should just get out of this noob area before those we don't like come back or new ones come to take their place. We'll probably be fine as long as were careful and don't do any heroics. After speaking his mind, he waved his hand at her towards the path to signal it was time to head out, deciding to walk down the path from the center of the village to the outpost, walking at a slow pace to make sure Alia didn't feel like he wasn't abandoning her, Seto couldn't wait to get the hell out of this area.

  10. Having returned from his prior tasks the male would smile upon returning. The girl was at least perceptive to his idea of weaponry so that was a bonus, yet before leaving he recalled a conversation about crafting, "Really you missed out on a cool quest to learn to make some potions it was a bit of a chain for me but it was fun none the less. So let's go get those weapons unless yall rather scout around for more missions." The male would say almost as if to hint he didn't want to leave on his own again.

Eyes scanning the area, he'd watch as the merchants peddle their goods. His own curiosity peaking as he walked over to investigate a merchant with a shield. A small wooden one; a simple shield he could use. Inquiring the merchant would explain he was interested in it, yet the merchant seemed all but eager to be rid of it for free. Ranting on about some sort of family heirloom and some crest designed on it, he'd fold his arms and roll his eyes. "So what is it gonna take for you to part ways, what quest do I go in exchange to trade for it?"

As he saw them grin he'd shift his gaze off to no one in particular almost as if to stare at a camera then back and fold his arms. The long and lengthy explanation could only be summarized as trading with another who most likely would require trading with another to trade with another or buy the item and trade it. So being the cheap ass he'd head back to his newly acquired friends and tell them to meet him at the stall he was just at when they were finished. So beginning the chain event. The male would fade back into the Crowd.

This time his goal was to earn some seeds to trade that he'd bring to the farmer's market section, trade for some milk. Next, he had to gather some salt from another spice vendor along with vanilla extract and to do this he needed to start the second quest to gain ice and it was just a giant cluster fuck. So, after completing it to make the ice cream he'd finally got the shield, had he the coin he could have just bought it. None the less, turning back to look at his friends now holding the shield he'd grin. Taking notes on the recipe for ice cream for this world he'd pull up his menu and request friendship and party with the other two.

Once accepted he'd send the cat a message with the ingredients. Eyes shifting to the male, "So what do you plan to do, she's getting into cooking and crafting I believe I plan to become a paladin. But what about you bro? You have been awfully quiet, that or I just been a terrible listener. What's your end game?" he'd ask curiously to the male known as Kaito. His equipment nearly complete just missing the sword or weapon for his skill set; slashing one hander.

  11. Alia was having a good time. She was glad to have met another gamer that was a little more serious but it seemed he was also older than her which actually made her happy. It meant that things like these still appealed to the older crowd and it was just her parents who thought it was foolish and all of that. Of she supposed that her parents only wanted what was best for her but she was going on eighteen soon and had top marks. Could literally get into any college she wanted so really she deserved a little free time right? She wasn't really sure if her parents even cared on that front. They were so focused on making sure someone could take over or that she did something that would grant her a name and keep her with the money that she was born into. For her she would be glad to teach sword play or even just be a teacher then to take over for either of her parents. She had practically raised her younger siblings so kids for herself would come way to far into the future.

She did feel instantly bad when disappointment came from Seto. She hadn't meant to bring up any bad memories or anything like that and she mentally berated herself but she was not one to back down from a course when she started it. However, she would apologize for upsetting him but he did actually start answering her question about being a race car driver. She was surprised to know that he eweas from japan though she should have figured it wasn't like he was keep that away from her. She just never assumed such things. He hesitated when he said he got out so there was a story there but she would not dare tred there it was not her places and she was just happy he actually answered her.

For a female she actually wasn't so upset with all the car talk. "It's fine car talk does not bore me. It's at least something different from the normal talk that I get when I'm at home." She smiled a bit and then she gave him a nod. "I wouldn't dream of telling the media anything. Honestly if the media knew i was playing this game myself they would have a field day. My parents weren't too keen on me playing. I'm the eldest of the family and the first girl so I'm supposed to marry rich and I'm supposed to be smart a hell and take over the business if my father wants me too or be a lawyer like my mother. My mother was a model before she became a lawyer and my father is in the public eye both as a diplomat and hopitality business." She shook her head. "So in part i know your pain."

She wouldn't say a thing. People disappeared usually to get themselves on a better page and so she understood what happened when that piece was shattered. She had remembered when her mother stopped modeling and then was constantly hounded about Alia herself getting into the modeling gig. She did for a short time but her mother pulled her wanting her to focus more on other things. Such is the way of lawyers and politicians she figured but the family didn't leave the eye. They just got to have a bit of privacy so her little siblings could grow up.

A few moments later he was answering her questions about the probability of meeting monsters that could kill them on the way to the outpost. It made sense actually to not have monsters crawling all over the place at the start of thing game so that they had the opprotunity to get to the outpost and possibly find more stuff along the way. Then his words moved to her favorite weapon of choice. A katana, and him making one. Eyes went wide in delight. "you'd be right. Its my favorite weapon of choice though i've fought with rapier, cutlass and boardsword. Even got my hands on a greatsword but man was that an interesting set of different muscles that had to be used. I'm a swordswoman. something my parents seem to be okay with as they figured it would be something that would keep me grounded."

Everyone had to have their hobbies right. Then he was speaking about skills and she knew that was a good idea to give eachother just so that they knew what they were working with an who could do what. "Two handed slash, one handed slash, and engineering." She told him after hehad told her. Blacksmith was actually a rather good idea to take later on down the road perhaps. But she had one and two handed slash for the fact that she could use dual wielding at some point. She had not choosen it off the bat as she wanted to test her strength perameters in game before she did such a thing. He had guard which mean he could guard her if need be and she could deal the most damage going in with something like a short sword if she were to find it or a one handed katana. Though the traditional two handed was the best to use.

Alia gave a nod of her head as he mentioned the fact of getting out before people that they didn't like came back or new ones showed up to take their place. "I couldn't agree more and yea no heroics." She smiled and then started toward the path. She kept pace with him and she could move faster if he liked. After all that was the point of all of this they both wanted out of this area and out of it quickly. at least in her own mind she wanted out of it quickly but she was fairly certain that Seto did too. As the path grew closer she was rather happy that the people were thinning out around them and just letting them leave.

  12. Ryosuke was surprised how similar they were and the fact she was younger than him. She was dealing with the same crap he had to put up as a teenager, at least until he enlisted into the Japan Defense Force then everything changed and things weren't quite the same. In some small comparison though to some extent, he felt ancient, giving advice to his kid but she was only nine years older than her. "Take advice from someone who has gone through the same as you. Your parents are there to guide you, not to force you down a path you don't want to follow. Cars may be in my origin but it was my decision to make it my career and I never regret it either. Make your own path, do what you want and be with who you want...I still remember when my parents tried putting me in an arranged marriage when I was eighteen, I said screwed that and enlisted in the military, I enjoyed dodging bullets over being my mother's puppet, forced to do whatever she wanted....It's good to know that I can relate to someone who knows my pain and you can do the same as well....thanks." Maybe he was a little harsh on his parents, after all his father never really cared much what he did as long as he contributed to their living situation when he was younger compared to his mother who was completely controlling that wanted the perfect son with her image of a perfect job in society and a wive she picked out, actually the more he thought about it, the more he wondered how the hell did he deal with it in the first place without going insane? At least his Nissan R34 helped somewhat back in the day when he used to spend hours at sunset or dawn on Fuji practicing, nowadays his Nissan R34 wasn't any more than a commuter.

He knew he landed right on the money when she told him she was someone who favored a katana as a swordswoman, this girl kept impressing him which only increased even more when she also knew martial arts. Ryosuke had thoroughly studied Bushido, the way of the warrior when he was a teenager during his free time which later built the foundation of his personality. Ryosuke always sorta felt like a modern Samurai or a retainer of a house stuck in modern times or perhaps Chivalry was better at explaining his personality or maybe it was just a mix of both.

"I knew it my Arial was a katana lover just like myself. I have studied fencing when I was bit younger but only in theory, unfortunately, couldn't afford to break something to one of the families businesses. I have thoroughly studied "Way of the Warrior" or Bushido to the common person. Have you studied the arts? sounds like something you be interested in studying although am surprised your home has Kendo, not that am complaining, am impressed with you so far, a little too much to be frank." Seto laughed a little, he meant what he said but it came out more playful, it was expected since he wasn't thinking much. He had way too hobbies, he had a life with too many things going on in his life and yet he always wonders why he couldn't slow down when he had to be fast to get things done. One thing led to another in the conversation before the two brought their skills up, it was something important obviously. "Engineering eh? not something normally picked between us warriors but still nevertheless good, it becomes handy whenever we jump into those old ruins from some ancient civilization. I was actually going to pick artisan so I could build a keep eventually to live in and possibly run a guild out of it in the future but not using my head, I didn't think of taking until after blacksmithing and realizing a lot of people picked up blacksmithing...oh well right? I guess I can make you sweet, sweet katana's and you fix stuff for me." Engineering was definitely not something commonly chosen, he hadn't picked since Ryosuke never really enjoyed tinkering things if it wasn't his car and that was usually with a computer designed to reconfigure car computers and dialogics to get better performance in speed in tight corners. Seto had originally chosen one handed slash during the beta but didn't like the feel, since you weren't allowed to wield them with two hands and it DPS was split in half, of course, sure greatswords were heavier but we were talking about a Dai-Katana, they were far lighter and advanced than their European counterparts and swung considerably faster, of course, penetration was crap when it came to metal armor but that was obvious sword wielder or at least it should be.

Afterwards he gave her the heads up of what was ahead and told Alia they should probably get out of the nest of noobs, sure they were technically noobs but they knew what was up, where to go and had a gameplan, he couldn't say that for most of the half nude noob players and the dumbest things ever to being Los Angeles zombies when they see an idol. Alia followed his lead when he began walking down the center of the village on the path leading out of the town to the outpost. They were walking at a normal pace like you would in real life. the walk through the village was mostly quiet for the most part although it got a bit annoying when a bunch of players ran by them, causing a ruckus throughout and making smut noises, it was like pre-teens were playing this game now. They almost pissed Seto off when a few of them ran into them with Seto almost losing his balance. He felt like running after them and shoving something up their behind but he knew deep down he was better than that and more mature, he couldn't let these immature brats get to. He looked over to Alia, still slightly annoyed although he wasn't going to allow it to annoy him. He was wondering if she wanted to pick up the pace a little, just to get out of the town. "Those players are gonna kill us...with their immaturity, do you want to kick up the pace a bit until were out of this village?"

Eventually though they eventually made their way out of the town which put a huge relief on his mind and his mindset, putting on a small smile after they were a few miles away and there was no one around. By now at this point the path was dirt and they were in the middle of a forest again but at least they knew where to go and it was peaceful and tranquil, not to mention he was with his partner who was probably just as relieved as he was. After those few miles, Seto lost track after three or four miles, instead wanting to keep track they were at all times so they wouldn't get lost. Seto definitely didn't want to get lost like last time and knowing his luck he probably walk right in a den of some sort of monsters and without a weapon nonetheless. By this point, it was near sunset although not quite there yet, Seto thought it might be a good idea to take a break to figure out what to do next, whether continue in the dark with some makeshift torches or make some sort of camp. Putting his arm on Alia's shoulder, Seto pointed out a stream running with the path with a spot that would make a good place to take a quick break. "Hey Alia, how about we take a short break at the edge of the stream up ahead near the path? There's a thick brush of trees so we should get some privacy as well. Don't know about you but these Trash-Tier boots are killing my feet." Taking the lead, Seto lead Alia to the spot he pointed out, opened a spot in the bush of trees long enough for her to get through unscathed. Taking a seat on a large stump, Seto took off his boots and laid them in the stream long enough for the stench to go away, it wasn't strong but it was still a nice feeling. He laid them for a few mere moments before taking them out and putting on his boots again then laid on his back next to the stump and invited Alia to lay down with him although of course not in any sexual or prevented way, Seto's mind havn't even begun to think like that today, he just wanted to relax for a little bit before getting to the outpost, he knew it wouldn't be that much further from their current location.

  13. And So the man joined the world.

The bright light, oh so blindingly bright, faded from his eyes as he found himself falling a small distance to the ground. Groaning a bit he wondered if he had fallen from the bed in which he laid when he was setting up his gear, then he blinked the spots from his eyes as he pushed himself from the ground to notice something: grass. The gear worked, he set it up right! He was in the game; smiling he looked around the area and at himself mostly and he noticed he was wearing somewhat ratty feudal japan-era style clothing.

He then continued to look around at his general area and noticed there were many other people, various clothing styles and weapon styles on all of them. A big smile on his face as he suddenly noticed a new weight to the back of his head, reaching behind him he could feel the long hair that he had designed his character to have, pulling the pony tail in front of him he smiled that it was the exact right shade of red. He could not get over how excited he was; he was practically dancing as he let the waves of enjoyment wash over him, likely looking like a complete idiot to any passersby.

He then spotted a group of what he hoped was players; there was no obvious signs to discern player characters from non-player characters that he knew of yet. Smiling quite brightly he said, rather loud still expecting to have to speak into a microphone for some reason “Hey guys! This is cool isn’t it! So, whats to do around here?” Okuda, the player name Nicholas had chosen when he made his account, began to look around, the long red mane of hair dancing behind him as he moved his head trying to take in all the sights there were to see.

It was a strange feeling to have such old feeling clothes on him, something he was not quite used to thanks to his relatively well-off family, he was used the finer clothes that the wealth afforded him. Oh well… he thought to himself guess I’ll just have to build up my own funds and make sure I can live a good life in this game! He then continued to look around the area, waiting for the people he spoke to to respond.

And so the man met others.

  14. As he ventured forth; apparently alone he'd have gotten his trash tiered clothes. His shield and now all that remained was the sword, but this in itself would be a troublesome task. None the less the male made his way into the crowd of people and motioned his way through them until he found a stand with the blade. A faint smile passing as he saw the one he wanted then the price. Inquiring about it, he'd soon find it wasn't available for a quest, but a rejected sword he couldn't sell was available. His eyes lit up as he saw it was worse than it sounded. Shifting his eyes, "How come it's made of wood." the vendor would laugh and point to his young son, "I made it for him...." he then sighed and nodded hoping to acquire the sword regardless. Perhaps he'd just line the thing with Sharp rocks. A faint smile passed as the goal for it was to simply spar with the boy, if he won the sword would be changed to a decent wooden sword; with some okay damage and some metal weight to it.

Agreeing he'd walk over and use the generic sword and begin his process. The boy was quick. Hitting him twice before he struck him, "Quick one aren't you, well it will be tough to beat a tank like myself." he'd tease as he slowly began to pick up speed; each hit made his health dropped some. But as it hit the seventy-five percent mark he'd strike the boy just as quick now nailing him for some hard damage. The boy rubbing his chest got serious and angry. His shield slapping back against him the two would go at it for several more minutes; ultimately ending with an evenly exchanged blow. Their health dropping below fifty percent, but the boy's closer to forty five. So he'd win a large grin passing he'd commend the kid on his efforts and his duel wielding skill. As he finished the quest he took the wooden blade and lifted it proudly, shit gear but gear he could call his own.

Now moving away and onto his next set of tasks he'd prepare to go test out the combat system against AI a bit more. However, it wouldn't be long before he ended up in a cluster of players; preparing to head off into combat. Raising his menu he'd prepare to create a team and get rolling with his own crew to train. As the male, did so he heard another call out; turning he'd look to the stranger and then point to himself. "Who me?" he'd say as the boy seemed to mistake him for being part of the party who left. Looking about he'd notice it was himself. "Oh me, no idea. I'm just as new as you. Only did a few quests to grind some shit gear for a bit of training. What about you, do any of that yet. The name's Aaron and you are?" he'd ask the boy as he offered to shake hands, his wooden shield holster his wooden sword; he looked like a noob.

Draped in Cloth and tattered clothing, holding low tiered weapons and defenses. His eyes shifting to the side he'd sent an invite to the boy, "Care to party up and get in some grinding. I need the coin and could use some practice. If this game relies as heavily on your attributes outside of the game for the avatar, I'd imagine some of our skills outside may pass over; well those without activating the game coding. Weapons skills and what not, I mean more of the personal abilities like our speed, strength and to some degree, vitality or endurance." he said chuckling as he noticed his rambling, "Sorry man, didn't mean to rant. Ready to go?" he'd ask awaiting for their introduction to pass and get to work.

    Invite

Aaron Steele has invited you to their party. Accept?

Motioning the male to follow he'd take the point at the front of the party should he have joined and been the tank for them. Hoping the male at least could put out some damage if not heal him when needed. Unsure of his skills he'd part his lips curiously. "So, I took Berserk, Sheild and Sword, I'm a tank. What role you create or skills you take. I know it might not matter early on but if we run into something stupid strong better to know what is available then to guess and get rekt." he'd say laughing some hoping the boy felt comfortable enough to share. Either way, their journey would have led them further into the forest away from the vendors and free stuff; as several rabbits passed and a wolf or two could be seen passing; their attention shifting to the two oncoming heroes. A faint chuckle passed as he turned to the boy, "Ready?"

    @Okuda

OOC: Feel free to take the lead or shift this in a way you are more comfortable.

  15. And so the man met with another.
Okuda looked on to the larger man wearing some sort of armor and a shield with a wooden sword. He spoke about a bunch of things, culminating in a bit of a rant on possible skills from the real world being able to be brought over which just caused the young man to shrug a bit. He did not really mind the talkative person, though he felt his ability to talk dying away as the initial rush of joy from this new experience quickly waned at how woefully unprepared he was. It was then that the man in front of him sent him a party invite.

This was something he was not expecting so soon he had not even gotten his starting equipment he was just in his basic outfit. Staring blankly at the invite for a moment he sighed and shrugged, what did he have to lose afterall? He then pressed the circle to accept the invite and smiled as heard a ding to say that they were now a party. He then remembered something from when he bought the game, as it was during a promotion they had a special item attached to his account.

Quickly opening his menu, he navigated it slowly, trying to learn about as much of it as he could, after a moment or two though he ended up in his inventory and smiled seeing his starter pack, it had some rations and a free rusty weapon of his choice. Smiling brightly the young man selected a Katana and instantly equipped it, it did no real damage but it was better than his meager fists. Okuda then slowly drew the sword from its scabbard and noticed it was truly rusty, the blade was covered in orange spots and its actual edge was chipped in a few spots.

He then noticed that the hilt itself was also relatively tattered, chuckling a bit he would look at his companion and notice the wooden sword, apparently he had not gotten the same promotion. “Well, I have less than a clue about what I’m doing so for now why don’t you lead the way oh shielded person!” Smiling Okuda would slap the man on the back or the shoulder, whichever was easiest to do so. This game was going to be fun, or at least that was Nicholas’ hope regarding the game.
And so the man formed his first party.
