Personality
Gabriel is a man who was brought up in a strict household. Since his youth, his life had been planned out for him in advance and he had largely stuck to the schedule provided for him. Punctual, prim and proper, etiquette and style had been a large part of Gabriel's life and it stuck with him through to his adult years preferring suits or blazers rather then T shirts or tank tops. While not a naïve man, Gabriel has always believed in giving people the benefit of the doubt within reason. Believing in the best, but preparing for the worst has often been his motto in dealing with people and doing business; he would always approach people believing in the good they all should have deep down but preparing for an inevitable let down should that good be buried too deep.
In game, as Kessler, Gabriel is a bit more relaxed, while every bit that properly dressed and refined individual from reality, in the game, Kessler immerses himself in his character as he might on stage allowing him more flexibility. In such a dangerous world, Gabriel understands and acknowledges the struggles of such a world and instead embraces it with a strict yet at the same time, open and adaptive mindset. In the game, Kessler's life is largely built around his two little girls, at such a critical age, he often worries about their development and faces concerns about their lifestyles. Finding the game to be a good means of checking up on them subtly his original intention for playing was to use it to try and understand them but how he'll come to enjoy the game after the fact is anyone's guess.

Biography
Gabriel grew up in a nice household, his parents were politicians and business owners allowing him to have a lot of flexibility and options as he grew older. The one thing he couldn't truly control was how he spent his time throughout the days, instead, he was allowed to take whatever path through life he wished provided he followed the plan set for him. This strict and forceful lifestyle didn't bother Gabriel too much though in truth, instead he simply viewed it as something helpful, having guidelines and professional advice through life, particularly as a kid helped him through some confusing and troubling stages. Growing up, he practiced many things; dance, music, writing, art, as well as the typical history, sciences and math. He found however as he got older that he leaned more towards the creative side in life, and his parents who respected his decision set out to make a plan to keep him on the right track.
As a young adult, Gabriel performed many pieces in the drama club of his highschool and college, as a writer and performer, he was considered very popular and had a decent amount of charisma. While his other grades suffered for it, Gabriel lived for his artforms, and found happiness in them whether it was the performing arts or the paintings and sculpting he'd done in his free time. After graduating, he met his wife through a coincidence, in trying to get his pieces displayed in a particular museum showcasing modern artforms, she ended up as one of the liaisons sent by the city to greet him. After a few drinks and discussions about other well known names in his industry they hit it off well and ended up marrying in the next year.
Raising children was difficult for Gabriel, as someone who lived his whole life in a strict and upright manner, children that were messy and uncoordinated was a struggle and an adjustment. In the end, Gabriel decided to try and focus on his work while his wife looked after the children for a majority of the time. The reason wasn't because he was dissatisfied or even because he was a neglectful father; in truth, he struggled with the idea of how to approach fatherhood. There was no plan, no itinerary or schedule that he could set, no milestones, no goals or achievements that ensured success 100% of the time. Afraid of failure, afraid of letting those lovely little girls he adored down, he decided to let his wife who was more knowledgeable on the topic handle things. This ended up being a mistake however. His wife who was no more or less ready then he was ended up pushing the children away again and again, first to boarding school, then from visits entirely before finally leaving the household.
For the next few months, he'd brooded, wondering exactly how to tell his daughters. He couldn't come up with a good enough answer. He relied on his friends to support him, spending more time writing and creating from home rather then touring and going to the office or studio. He wanted to change, wanted to do something different, but the stress got to him pretty quickly, again he felt fear creeping up into him, and without his wife to share it with, the pressure was great. It was then that his friend introduced him to a game, Terrasphere-- apparently it was circulating through the local schools. The thought made Gabriel think of his own daughters. Were they also playing? Were they in that world as well trying to escape? The thought made Gabriel angry. His little girls shouldn't have to escape, they should be happy with their lives. Initially he started playing to relieve stress, to try to relax and unwind... Finding his little girls in the game though made him observe them diligently, trying to watch over them from afar. In the end though, the game would become a special place for him for his own reasons though.
