Cycle 7
The black Gargantuan Gaze on the center of the battlefield contracted violently before it sunk into the fleshy ground, leaving behind a massive gape that spewed the toxic liquid into the air and caused a massive acid rainstorm. Because of the strange air pressure that resulted from the powerful magic casted by Titanius, winds raged within the enclosed chamber, creating massive waves that crashed violently against the inclined battlefield. Acidic levels rose as the poisonous liquid storm raged on, gradually covering more zones in a short span of time. Zone B, X, and K were eventually taken while everything else to the west was completely submerged in toxicity, only a few zones in the high elevation could be considered safe.
Within that time, the Gargantuan Gaze burst out of zone L, pushing a few of its enemies out of the way, or completely consuming them. The rows of teeth that lined the eyeball’s interior proved rather effective for breaking down food. @Lucia Mierz and @Shangri La were caught up in the grinder, taking severe damage but was able to escape just before it finished devouring them whole. At the same time, the tentacats continued to pull people under, hissing and biting anyone that tried to fight them like the deformed-felines they were.
In zone D, the Valkyrian knight finally stopped convulsing. Thanks to the efforts of several healers, the queen of Falderen, their dispel purged some amount of the dissonance from her body. Although they didn’t manage to get rid of all of the dissonance, it was enough for her to become functional once more. Letting out a loud huff, D’vangelline pushed all of her insecurities into the deepest recess of her soul as she caught up on the situation around the battlefield. Seeing how the battlefield had turned into a giant deathtrap, the tattered and bloody queen picked up her lance and shield and whispered a prayer before divine light coalesced around her lance.

You have toyed with our hearts for far too long, detestable monster...
D'vangelline slammed her heavenly lance into the fleshy floor, producing a burst of light that floated up and turned into a golden, protective dome that covered zone D. Dissonance tried encroaching her once more, but she persevered, tasking herself to make up for the pain and horror she had caused while she was under Titanius’ influence. She was the daughter of the great Hero of Light that saved Falderen… And she would ever lose to the temptation of revenge, ever again.

Just then, another incomprehensible sound reverberated throughout the entire chamber. If you had been deeply touched by dissonance (10+), you could feel yourself becoming one with Titanius for a brief moment.
The feeling was unexpectedly serene, as all five of your senses became drowned out by dull apathy that washed over your entire body. Afterwards came anger, maddening anger that could not be subdued. The unrelenting and suffocating range of emotions filled you as the dissonance forces you to fight your personal wars, impactful deaths, and hundreds of life events that you wish you could forget. Titanius dug deep, uncovering every secrets that you have buried within yourself both in and out of the game.
When Titanius consumed your allies, its body became stronger and the effects of dissonance amplified. Depending on your level of dissonance (15+) you could feel your body slowly mutate — it won’t be long before you and everyone else is absorbed.
It was at this point that you realize the immense life force that players possess and Titanius had grown a taste for it. As your mind melded with it, you could see how it laid out its trap, getting Tertoria to reach out to Astorea, knowing that Astorea would eventually send the players to confront the monster right into Titanius’ body, where it was able to season you and the rest of your kind with dissonance and prepare all of you for consumption. It even set up an ambush for Astor and D’vangelline whom you might have put your trust in to mislead and betray you, all for the sake of inflicting deep dissonance on your flesh and soul.
Now that its energy had reached the maximum capacity, Titanius’ true plan sprang up in motion and as began connecting its distorted world with yours and fulfills its one true goal, the convergence and consumption of all worlds.

Just as your consciousness began to slip, Ivan’s voice pierced your ears. YO, snap the fuck out of it, you dinks! We gotta stop Titanius, it’s opening up rifts everywhere! If we don’t stop the rifts soon, you’re going to be fighting and eating squid for the rest of your life. So yeah, we’re going to need some portals to go to the rifts, hold on.
He contacted his leader once more and spoke with a rushed and audibly upset voice this time. Juliette, ma’am? Change of plans, Titanius just opened several rifts all over the world, so we’re going to need our portals to connect to these rifts so we can close them. Can you do that?

Well, the supplies aren’t coming then. Tell them to get to high grounds, the mages will open portals that they can jump through.

Understood. Alright, the Brotherhood will be opening the portals in the high grounds now, get there and go through, each portal can only take a limited number of people so don’t you all go at the same time.
