Aalam cracked his jaw as he stood got back up sipping out a mouthful of blood and what was possibly teeth. Well, that was something the second time he died on a job, and if he was honest, it was starting to become a bitch. That was pulling it nicely after all the crazy one was trying to destroy the world the other one brought them back to life and he was caught somewhere in between. After this, he was going to be back to the duchy get the house by the lake, maybe a nice little place in the forest and then invite Savannah over for dinner. However, all that was going to have to happen after this bitch was dead. So it was time to play a bit of tag, after all, it was even Gwyn need a moment to rest. So he helps the gate open under his feet as he fell back into the core. The impact making a dent in the squishiness of the flesh, it made a squeaking sound when he landed. It was time to move if he stayed here he wasn’t going to get the shot that he needed. There was a time he envied her skill with a longbow and this was one of those times.

So he started to high tail it towards the sound of Cain’s music he needed to get closer to it to really take effect. He had been there when they fought to protect the honey home in and when they killed a warden. They really need to stop joining suicide missions it was not good for their health, but that was a talk for another time. “Cain pour it on we kill the bitch now.”

Ever since her scream, her thoughts had been quiet. Things had been nice. Life had been normal. Maintaining her inferno was keeping up nicely, as fire spewed from the space below as though it had no end. But all good things come to an end, and before the pyro was finished channeling out her energy, the voices came back. They whispered and muttered at an ear-shattering tempo.

She spun around, kneeling down. With her hands over her knees, she shook her head repeatedly. They were louder now, shouting over one another. They did not listen. They did not obey. Fire wrapped up around her, in a mess of flame nipping at her skin and burning her arms. Again, she screamed.

Now it was time to get to work, he could feel the beat as it pounded through his veins, it was like the beating of his heart. A nice strong rhythm it was one that he could get behind. It seemed that from one archer to another she had gotten the sights right, he was able to see the target, and he was going too made well on his promise. Well, he was a king’s man, after all, that meant that would need to protect the kingdom, and if he died well. He had already died once before it might be time to do so again.

However, he needs the heavy boys that ones that didn’t just hit a man he needed the ones that broke a man’s shield. So he drew arrow after arrow and placed everyone within an inch of each other, and they were all going right in the throat of hers. It was a piece of wonder when they connected a few went off course but the sunk right into the twisted flesh of here and that was a wondrous thing to see. However it still wasn’t going to be enough, he needs to add more damage to the attack. So he pulled out his showstopper it was the best arrow he had available it was the one that he had gotten with his life. Max's Arrow it was a beautiful gift form the old Maxie, and he was about to put it to the best use possible. Retaking aim at the bitch and letting fly, and she flew a red tail followed into the witch’s back. Yea he was going to be the best of friends with that house.

"Fuuuuuuccccckkkkk....." Move! Move! Move! Move! Her body wouldn't listen. Her senses were fading. Darker, darker, darker... Eternal Twilight had come. Even now, when she was reduced to mere nothing, Seigi still struggled.

This couldn't be how it ended. This wouldn't be how it ended. It was just a repeat of gazing down the Abyss of the Käse Monster, as her body was torn to shreds, the madness clouding her mind, her Soul kept shining brightly.

    A Repeat of that tragedy?
First, her UI, now... her life?
Was it finally time to reg—
    No!

"No!" Another voice synched with hers.

As the Star Maiden descended, the party was given another chance. Another Miracle. The Hero she wasn't supposed to be. Saved? It felt... not quite right, bitter... but, at the very least, what Seigi understood was that Weiss couldn't do this alone.

Des merely served as a device to Ignite their Souls. To allow them to transcend past their current limits. If anything, Weiss was an entity more akin to the Flagbearer of Miracles than the Sunset Sage of Seven strikes.

"GOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Seigi cried out as she was engulfed in a bright light. Her arms a Symphony of Light and Shadow. This wasn't the time for more flashy movements and big combo attacks. Hearing the voice of @Cain Darlite close beside her, Seigi smiled. "I told you I wouldn't die!" Had his magic always be that inspiring? Or had the Autograph Score she gave Cain really such a big impact?

"Schwarz Weiß — STURMKREUZ!" Not quite sure about the words she spoke herself, most likely influenced by the Aura the Star Maiden gave off, Seigi used her own Twilight Claws to use a variation attack of Cross Divider. Slashing across Titania's form in an X like fashion two jointed energy waves, one black the other white, sliced through her, further and further into the distance...

It wasn't enough. Not yet. They had to keep going. Titania was still standing. A barrage of fists, arrows, and flames, orchestrated together by Cain into an Akkord of Destruction.

Just that, suddenly, a Note went missing. The Flames of Carnage about to expire. As if the Pyromaniac's scream hadn't been enough, a quick glance at @Nalla confirmed the rest. Seigi didn't know the mad woman well enough to understand what exactly her problem was. Did Dissonance get to her? But did it really matter? She was a friend in need.

"NALLA!" Seigi cried out, surely having heard her name sometime earlier before(?). "Don't give in! We are, I am, right beside you!..." Whatever it was... "...FIGHT IT! YOU'RE STRONG!" Simple words of encouragement, carried by her fledgling Heroic Aura, hopefully, enough to ease her pain... .

Regardless, Twilight wasn't good enough. Her arms, a disease that not even the Star Maiden could fix, interfering with the Holy Magic she had been infused with. If that was the case... back to the basics.

"TITANIA!" Seigi cried another name, once again, as she closed the small distance between the two even more. "Divine Headbutt of Holy Justice — GESETZ DER HELDEN!" A headbutt, that carried enough force to burst open the skin of her forehead, followed. Luckily it didn't reach past her thick skull.

Hopefully, nobody would ever speak about her cringy attack names after this. Magic was so much easier.

    ...

The eyes of the Star Maiden watched as the people of the east fought with all their spirits. Her mere presence enhancing their capabilities. Yet, time was running out for their small kingdom and it's allies. Even now Titanius had spread it's....

Oh who was she kidding, this was fine.

As long as she got all of them out alive of course.

The building's in the distance began to crumble in the fires below. The blackness of the sky began to change colors rapidly as the entire world went into a color like a negative photo. Titania's body was slowly degenerating as the damage piled up on her. All the resentment... all the scorn... the entire soul world within Titanius...

    Was about to explode.

The soul world is breaking down. she will try to....be careful now!

A sphere of darkness began to expand from Titania's body as it turned into black dust and began to swirl back up into the hole above. The sphere was one final grudge... her scorn. All these little creatures. All attacking her with the power she would soon have. Vaguely Titania made out the Star Maiden herself, Des Weiss...

    ....Unbelievable... disgusting... to fail....in this...way...

    "WYRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

The sphere of darkness surged force and take the aggression of it's enemy and destroy them with it!

The closest and first would be...

    Seigi!

    Again... with this?

Des held a hand against the sphere just inches from the wannabe heroines' body. The wannabe and the true. The closest Seigi may ever come to what she seeks. Perhaps a unattainable thing.

Yes? It probably isn't best to just stand there right now. You all put enough of your resentment into this to make it quite lethal. The entire soul world is unstable and falling apart. This soul is...

As she spoke the background fell away, revealing nothing but black beyond. The illusion was shattered, the soul finally at it's end. Des' voice still filled with uplifting jingles was not matching the cold look she carried right now. One only someone very close could see through all the flashing energy everywhere.

Your new world is in danger. You have done your part here, but unfortunately it's not over yet, go and prevent the sentient remnants of Titanius' form from ensuring you don't have a home to go back to.

She thrust her staff into the wall of the dark sphere and her own white sphere formed around her as she began to push back against it. Slowly but surely expanding her own. The bubbles of light from earlier all began to encircle the party and they each were lifted whether they liked it or not off of their feet and towards the closing portal.

    "They... will....not................wrrrrryyyyyaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhhhh!"

Several dark appendages shot from Titania and entered the portal ahead of the bubbles! It reached for those who were in reserve and grasped them hoping to drag them into the decaying reality of the soul world! The soul path began to tear as Titania broke the barrier between it and herself.

At this rate, everyone involved would fall with Titania! It was imperative to break free from the tentacles and escape from this place ASAP!

And yet, Saya and Arbiter were still nowhere to be seen.

The Soul Path and Titania's Soul World are now one! The battle has ended in certain victory however you must not perish with the enemy! Des has held back her final scorn and given you the path to connect with Ivan and escape. Yet... tentacles impede your progress!

Destroy the tentacles or save yourself. Just get out of this metaphysical eldritch hell!

And suddenly, everything went to shit. They should have known. The moment Titania died there was no escape. The world cried. The world died. Everything, slowly, turned into simple nothing. Was this how it looked when a soul died? It was... sad... but... "Everyone!"

The fight wasn't over yet. Not here. Not on the other side. "Weiss! Don't you dare die and... Saya is somewhere here, too!" With those words, Seigi knew the way out. How could she ever leave anyone behind?

"@Cain Darlite , I see you on the other side! But now..." First, more ass-kicking time. Flying through the weird soul-space place in her safety bubble, Seigi left that comfort zone to go and save someone!

    And then, the Tentacles attacked.
A lot. Many. Too many. More than Seigi had initially counted, yet...

She punched, kicked, ripped, bit, headbutted. It was just tentacles. Tentacles everywhere. Tearing apart her body. Her arm? Probably missing? An eye? Maybe gouged out. Yet, the orange-hair kept advancing and advancing until... "MIZUKI!" She cried out as she grabbed the wolf-girls hand. "You better let me fluff your ears after this!" And using her Heroic Might to throw her towards the safety route. "I wil- kaaaa—" In that moment, a single tendril had pierced her chest.

"I..." Did her own blood always taste so sweet? Stab. Stab. Stab. Pierce. Pierce. Pierce. "...will..." Seigi turned into a pin-cushion as her life was slowly fading. At the very least she didn't have to look at herself in the mirror.

    There was no escape.

Her screaming stopped. The combat was... Finished? The voices were quiet for a moment. She rose to her feet, fists clenched and hair rustled. Seigi's voice had helped to break the trance, but the pyro knew that it was only moments before the mutterings would return again.

"Listen to me." Her hands came up before her, palms open. No. The fire did not listen. "LISTEN!" The flame within her would not obey, apparently displeased. "There's not much time, listen, now!" She looked back, locking on to her friend, bound by a tentacle. She spent a final moment there, staring at her cold hands. There was no flame to be found. "Fine, I'll do it myself!"

You're doing fine. As Nalla ran back towards the madness, one charged in front of her. The one who had spoken of hope and strength. @Seigi. It pleased her to see that she was not alone in this endeavor, charging headfirst into certain mayhem. Of course, this was nothing new to the pyromancer, having been doing that sort of thing the entire time up to this point in the event. But something seemed different about this one. A sense of finality hung in the air. Don't worry.

Be a hero. Be a hero. She was terrified.

It was the captured form of @Kyupin Felnya that she darted for. Already upon the tentacle, tearing at it with claws and teeth, was the form of a small, cerulean cat. Soon, the flaming girl was next to this familiar creature, pulling at the abomination that bound their ally. "We got you, Kyupin." Nalla grit her teeth, pulling away the final restrictive form. Finally, with the Felis free, the pyromancer motioned for her friend to go ahead of herself. "Go! G--"

A tentacle struck out at Nalla's back, and she collapsed forward onto her hands and knees. As the slimy appendage slid down, wrapping itself around her ankle, it began to drag her away, pulling her into the madness, rather than away from it. She was pulled from safety, the blue cat escorting Kyupin towards refuge, and the fire within her disobeying her commands. You chose this. Foolish. In a few swift lashes, she would be dead.

Once Kyupin made it far enough, the cat would be seen to fade, disappearing, just as Nalla had, into nothing.

Tentacles weren't fun, and Mizuki wasn't going to tolerate these grabbing her. However before she could set about freeing herself Seigi grabbed her and threw her, as she seemed to like doing. The wolfwoman frowned as she looked back and saw that Seigi was rewarded for her troubles by the tentacles piercing her. The heroine had thrown her with enough force that she couldn't really stop her flight or go back to help, but she would be damned if she'd leave Seigi behind here.

Exposing her own arm she bit into the skin and flesh, sharp canines digging in until she felt blood come forth. A sharp pain, but nothing she couldn't tolerate given the dire circumstances. Stretching out her arm she let her magic flow through her arm, through the blood now covering her skin... filled with organic material that could be used.

Scarlet vines rapidly grew from her arm, wrapping around the dying Seigi even as Mizuki ignored the uncomfortable sensation of the vines literally growing out of her own arm. She'd get rid of them later, but for now she'd just have to bear it. Once she had a solid grasp on Seigi she retracted the vines, which halted her own flight but at least brought her the heroine's corpse. She'd flown far enough that she was outside of the reach of the tentacles, and grabbing Seigi she immediately placed her other hand on the girl's forehead and let her restorative magics freely surge through her to negate the wounds and pull her soul back into her body.

    Don't do that again.

Holding onto Seigi Mizuki contacted Ivan so the two of them would escape from this spiritual plane, which was quickly falling apart and turning into nothingness. She felt bad for those she was leaving behind, but running back in there when she was already carrying the reviving Seigi would have been suicide for the both of them.

She'd followed numbly after the cat as the tentacles consumed Nalla's form, taking her friend so far away from her. "No," she whispered, voice hoarse, trembling and ready to break. "No!" She whipped away from the ethereal feline form and raced back into the fray, jumping past tentacles and stabbing any that came to close with her fanged weapon.

"NO!" She shouldn't have gone back. She knew she would only be met with death. She knew. But she'd hoped otherwise, hoped that @Nalla would listen to her for once and stop dying.

She bit her tongue and tore through another tentacle. It wasn't satisfying. Couldn't be. She had no time to grieve over her friend - still had people to save, people that had to get out of here. She looked up and around, eyes landing on the familiar but pale Ashiore. "Let's get you out of— wait." She looked back to Nalla's corpse. "Wait." Another tentacle, stabbed. "You can revive, right?! You can pick up Nalla? She... she died, again. Please. You can help her, right?"

She lead the way. Her fingers curled tightly around Ashiore's wrist, refusing to let go until the other woman did something about her currently deceased friend.

Her arrows found purchase in the multitude of writhing tentacles, pinning them into place. "COMET!" she called out. "I've got your back, so run! They won't get you!"

Kyupin's ears twitched and she took aim, letting loose another arrow. Then another. Her fingers burned with the pace she pushed, refusing to let anybody die on her watch. Not again. Aalam looked at the thing with was once a person well that was fun the thing was finally dead, and with that, it was time to move on to other things. Sending both his bow and his quiver back to his inventory as he looked at the other it seemed that the job was done pulling out that King’s ale popping the cover and taking a sniff. Oh, he was going to enjoy this, the battle was over and now it was time to relax because the job was done. That was a wonderful prospect; however, it seemed that the core was coming down all around them. Screwing the cap back on the bottle and putting it back in his pocket it seemed that the bitch intended to buy them. Well, that was just bad form after all why she could just have the decency to die after all the job was done. He could just leave after he had no reason to try and save anyone Gwyn had already jumped to fight the body so that was repayment for the liquor. She was the long and short of the list of people that he had to save, well there was the duke also put he didn’t really give him an oath of locality. But if he left the man he might lose that piece of property and that was something that he would prefer not to have happened. Grabbing his duke and pulling him to his feet pushing him towards the exit. “I would suggest you run sir, or die here with the way I will see you back at the manor.”

Once that was done he started walking towards exit if the man came or not it was no longer is a problem he did his job. So he walked out popping off the cap off a bad red and making his way home.

Roland sat in the pathway between worlds, unable to act as those better suited for it tried to end Titania's life. The battle had been long, and with its ups and downs, but finally, it seemed to be drawing to a close as the monster became a black ball of energy. With Des stepping into its path, stopping it, and it's illusion being shattered Roland had thought that they were all safe. Taking a deep breath, Roland prepared to make his exit, when a variety of the large tentacles broke into the portal and began to strangle those in wait. Unprepared, there was little Roland could do, but be restrained by the appendage held against his will as he heard his allies cries. Unable to act he laid there for quite some time, as he heard the others struggle. Eventually, @Aalam Abungu came to his aid, grabbing his hand and ripping him from the tentacles grasp. Nodding in thanks to the man, Roland looked around him. There were none left to save, besides the dead... but neither Aalam or Roland had that ability. With a grunt he ran onward, hoping for the best.

Leave. The one thought on her mind, as everything began to collapse, as the tentacles sprouted from the shared alternate dimension. Everything began degenerating, resembling the circumstance in which she died. She'd die again, she thought, frozen. Nothing would change, she'd be helpless and she'd die again-

A hand on her arm. With a start, she spun around to see Kyupin pulling her away from the surging tentacles. But before she could even begin to thank the other girl, she turned to see a purple-haired body being carried away on a tide of tentacles. There wasn't any pounding heartbeat in her ears to drown out Kyupin's voice as she pleaded with Ashiore to save Nalla, so she heard every word crystal-clear.

That was the entire point of this, wasn't it? That if she went, if she fought, nothing that happened to her would ever happen to anyone else, ever again? Look how that worked out. She was a fool.

But she wouldn't be a useless one. Not now.

"I will!" she said to Kyupin, swore to her. "I'll get Nalla. I promise, I will."

She took a deep breath, and then launched herself at Nalla's body. Somehow, she managed to push herself within reach of it. With a mad rush of energy, Ashiore called some whip-like vines of her own, thorny vines lashing out and beating back the tentacles clutching onto Nalla's body. The moment it was clear of the tentacles, she began pulling Nalla to safety, following after the others.

She didn't know how she managed. She wouldn't have ever managed this in the real world. But reenergized in this plane, she managed to get Nalla somewhere clear.

Regaining her breath, she held both hands hovering over Nalla's heart. Then, she began reciting the incantation she had become so unfortunately familiar with. Light gathered at her hands then Nalla's body slowly suffused with the gentle green glow. It'd work. She wouldn't allow it to fail. Wherever Nalla's soul was, she'd grab hold of it and drag it back. She wouldn't lose any more friends to death. Not after Naixi...

When the first breath rose, Ashiore breathed her own shaky sigh of relief. And then as Nalla woke, she'd offer her own support to her. "Here, come on, let's go. We have to leave, now."

Really, given the situation Comet gave up on herself clearly before anyone else did. Kyupin's successful attempt to save her brought confusion, but she never questioned anything before running. Running away from the personal Hell the body's core had become for her. Surely on the outside she could get a sense of relief. Hopefully no more fighting had to be done. Not that the body had been difficult to tackle or created as much pressure or wrecked her mentally in comparison to challenging Titania. A fair warning was given from the beginning about dangers of heading inside, but she persisted. And the next time - even with newfound experience of the devastating hits that the game could unleash on its players - the young woman would instead prepare beforehand rather than allow herself a break from impending, soul deep weariness. Before leaving Comet made a conscious reminder to personally thank the Felis that saved her life.
