Personality
It's tough to put a finger on Doru as a person, mostly because keeping him still long enough to do so is a challenge of its own. He combines the energy of a toddler, the privileges of a teenager, and the self-preservation instincts of both, creating... well, to be honest, he'd probably be more of a nightmare if it weren't for the therapy.
Doru is at least genuinely interested in people, though his approach to learning about them can be reminiscent of a child messing with an anthill. While he's try to respect boundaries, he usually crashes through them before he realizes they exist. Doru wants to be friendly and endearing, and is viciously loyal to those he cares about, but whether people can actually handle his high energy approach to everything is another story.
Positive: Energetic, Confident, Optimistic
Negative: Competitive, Impatient, Capricious
Biography
There was a time when Theodore might have been considered charming. His energetic attitude and drive to impress was a good fit for a young boy. His tendency to get into trouble at school was a bit worrying, but... well, everyone had that phase. He would grow out of it, eventually.
He didn't grow out of it, unfortunately. He remained the same through middle school, and into high school. The calls home, the poor grades, the detentions and suspensions... were not well received. There was a point where Theodore's parents simply couldn't pretend it was all just a phase, a symptom of teenagerhood that would pass with time.
There were meetings. There were appointments. Theodore was eventually wrangled into a state where he could more or less function in a modern high school, though it was never a perfect solution. He tried to channel his energy into other things - sports, hiking, debate club (which was actually his most successful attempt) - but nothing really worked. His attention would flag, people would get frustrated, and he'd end up back where he started, trying to find some form of distraction or outlet.
The invite for Terrasphere seemed like it was worth a shot.
