    Rose Gardens Hospital
img Rose Gardens... this was the place.

Chelsea stood before the glass sliding doors of the establishment. It was pretty highly reviewed as far as hospitals went. The people here were known for having a great deal of patience with their patients. There are people in here who likely haven't left in a very long time. This Wendy girl must have had some very desperate parents that refuse to just let her go.

Chelsea knew that feeling but other than the use of this predicament for her own situation... she just didn't have the room to care. Things happen. If she could help another in the process of getting to the bottom of things, then that's a plus but she didn't have time to worry about how to fix anything beyond her own trouble right now.
    Cold?

    Maybe.

Entering the hospital through the main entrance, Chelsea brought with her some balloons. All were different colors. She put on her reading glasses and brought up her unique wristwatch to check some things privately. Making sure not to activate hologram mode. Mr.Watanabe and Danielle were both scheduled to arrive here soon. Unless one decided to not so. This was the risk she took. One mistake could get her or them killed.

Possibly if her conclusions were correct.

It was sad that she had to do the job that investigator was likely assigned to... but she was much less conspicuous then a older person. Which helped.

    "Hi. I'm..."

Quick! How could she not think of a name!? Hmmm something completely different.... that she might get away with..

"Shirabe Tsukuyomi. I'm here to visit Wendy Ann Quinn... in room.... 255? I'm a friend from school. My father and cousin are coming as well later on. They might act weird because of a ltitle... um, game we have going on. Tell them Lady X is in 255."

"I see... haha. That's wonderful, the poor dear hasn't had many come to see her anymore. I thin they might bek... oooh, here just sign this and take the elevator on your right there."

With that taken care of. Chelsea made her way to the elevator and then the second floor. The hospital... was so useless. Why couldn't they save any of these people? Yeesh... this really was like some anime. If only she didn't have to delve into it but here she was.

Making a right turn and heading down a few doors. Finally it was there. A room full of dolls, balloons, get well cards. The dates on those were...

    Months old.

Her parents must have requested them to stay. The girl might hear or feel them or something. Yeesh... reality isn't so kind. The hospital bed had a nurse sitting next to it. She smiled at Chelsea and gestured towards the presents sitting around. Obviouslythe nurse didn't want her around for long. But... she needed to get a good look at this person. The VR headset stuck to their face as they laid in the bed covered in a hospital gown.

Chelsea purposely didn't put the balloons away, instead moving closer to the bed. So this was one of possible penalties for playing Terrasphere...

    The other...

"Wendy... how come you aren't... but those people are... what's the..."

She muttered lowly to herself as the nurse went to the other side of the room fixing some flowers.

  2. imgRose Garden Hospital.

It stank of the rich and privileged.

High tech, without a single maternity ward. Each room was meant for individuals only, and the gardening work done on the outside must have employed a whole host of specialists. The doctors all looked like serious, smart white men who graduated top of their class, while all the nurses were diverse in race, but united in beauty. Pissed her off, really, but then again, a lot of things did nowadays.

Barely restraining the permanent scowl etched on her features, Danielle stalked through the floors of the hospital. The Facebook invitation, even though it was months old, was still accurate, and there was no real need for her to check in. If there was one thing that Terrasphere gave her, it was boundless confidence that persisted even in a realm where the hospitals smocks that the patients wore cost more money than all her clothes put together. They may have a value of billions of dollars, but she slew dragons. It was odd, perhaps, to hold pride in something that was ‘fake’, but then again, the value of money itself was merely a social construct to begin with. A few stacks of paper definitely shouldn’t be equivalent to a car, after all.

So when this world burned as well, and all the wealthy wailed at the pointlessness of their money, Danielle will laugh and bash their heads in with a rusty wrench.

She stopped. Her thoughts were rather dark recently, and though the Chinese American didn’t see anything wrong with it, it wasn’t the sort of attitude to approach this mysterious…

The door slid open to Room 255.

    …Lady N.

    Wow.

A faint flicker of amusement crossed her features, as she beheld the surreal scene around her. Lady N was quite ballsy, wasn’t she, using her real face in Terrasphere. And Wendy Ann Quinn was equally mad, her long pink hair and gaunt face still similar enough to Magi Heart that they looked to be one and the same. Months old ‘get well’ cards. Deflated balloons that reflected just how little hope there was left of her recovering. A lonely room, despite all the ‘love’ that was once there. It drained whatever anger Danielle had in her, and gently, she approached the bed.

The back of her hand carefully stroked the comatose girl’s pale cheek, noticing just how cold and pale it was. Magi was flush with color, literally blush stickers on her face. Tenebris was always twisted, one hilarious expression to another. But this…this was too much like her corpse, simply lying about, waiting to be buried.

Danielle allowed herself to soften, tenderness revealed for a girl lost in her fantasies, before the steel entered her gaze once more. Turning, she squared herself off with Lady N and said, “Well, guess you’re an EX-grade sadistic loli in real life as well, hm, N?”

Her hands remained in her pockets, as the tomboyish youth leaned against the wall coolly, feeling the iron within her pockets.

"This isn't the same case for Sei- Raina, is it. Got any answers for me? Or are you here to just raise more questions."

  3. img “Well, guess you’re an EX-grade sadistic loli in real life as well, hm, N?”

Chelsea had only eyed the girl carefully once she was in sight. This was Danielle then... nothing like the energetic goof that was Raina Raythean. She was going to wonder what character Danellie may have played but...

That line was enough to know.

Only two people were there other than her and only one seemed brazen enough to just say that in a hospital room. Taking off her glasses as quite a few revelations set in about some of her little romps in Terrasphere had gone. The chocolates, but even moreso, the hot spring! The man with those abs... the perverted guy... the annoying braggart that makes giant sized titles for the sheer amusement of it...

Cain Darlite was this homely street urchin?

That was a extreme way to think of it but he had a style and personality that only would make one feel that way when comparing the tow. So that was why he was so unbothered in the spring... yeeeeeeeesh.

"Cain... You have awful taste in character Miss Danielle."

The comment about being a loli was ignored if only because Chelsea's focus was more on the problem at hand and the things she now knew. This was one of Raina's closest friends in Terrasphere. Two idiots playing a game together did kind of make sense didn't it? Now she needed as much help from this person as possible. Having to ask Cain Darlite for anything was... just boo.

"The look you gave her make's me think you've met her before. ... This is what happens. Or a possibility. I don't change my appearance because I...I'm Chelsea, have no need to be someone else."

She closed her eyes and shifted her mouth a little. Letting the balloons go without much thought. Chelsea was pretty much through here but the hacker had not arrived yet so she shouldn't leave.

"I guess you do not follow news much? Or underground channels? ...Probably not. I'll fill you in on what I know and you tell me if it makes sense."

She gestured her to stand by her over Wendy, and then whispered most of what she said to the hacker in the cafe. Somehow she doubted 'Cain Darlite' would understand this as well but she had little choice but to hope for the best.

  4. img“Awful taste? Dunno, being a big man with a big stick and some big words is pretty nice for stress relief,” Danielle shot back, the sharpness of her tongue softened somewhat with a small smile. “But no, I doubt what I hear about on the news is the same as what you do.”

No questions then. At least, she had been promised that much. Her dark eyes flickered to the nurse who was still rearranging flowers, before the slim tomboy strode up to Chelsea, feeling the warmth of her breath in her ear as the slender girl’s knowledge was shared. It was long, and it was uncomfortable, and it stank of an overblown conspiracy theory, but if Danielle was put off by it, she didn’t show it. It was a lot to digest, but nothing as convoluted as AP Physics or Modern History.

In general…crazy Nexus Corp cult bitch died after talking about a Great Transfer with her other cultist shit stains. Multidimensional Research Department? The fuck is that? And then an investigator that was looking up TS ALSO got deepfried, but apparently not even the government wanted to talk about it? Whammo into the future, you got Wendy who DIDN’T get exploded and ended up comatose with no visible scars either, while Raina, most recently, just ended up dead again. Awesome. Amazing. As clear as mud, this was.

Her spare hand raised up to her face as Danielle gently massaged the bridge of her nose, letting out a long sigh. It had been a while since she had logged into Terrasphere, but the raw sorrow was still there, a wilted bud. This…didn’t help. Didn’t help much at all. The only difference was…

“So basically…cultist girl thought that Terrasphere was the wonderful ‘alternate dimension’ that she could hop into, and got exploded instead. Investigator looked into that death, apparently got too close, and got nuked too. And for some reason, Wendy and Raina both got messed up as well, except in much less extreme ways?” Just made her mad, really. Made her want to be like that psychobitch and shoot up Nexus Corp with a single handgun.

“You know what this sounds like? This sounds like someone getting better and better at perfecting a murder method that uses the VR device as a medium. But you know what doesn’t make sense? How Wendy and Raina both persisted in the game afterwards. What’s even the point of that? There’s no brainwaves to read from the dead, while…”

Danielle paused, before letting out a longer sigh. Fucking rich motherfuckers and their stupid, stupid schemes.

“…unless they were testing out some really fucking stupid technology that uploaded your mind into the internet instead, so you could attain functional immortality and youth? Christ on a bike,” Danielle groaned, slapping her forehead, “Please tell me you have evidence that suggests that I’m totally wrong, cause holy shit, that’s the stupidest thing I’ve thought up in a while.”

But…the Great Transfer, Wendy being ‘imperfectly’ copied, while Raina was ‘perfectly’ emulated…

Two failures, a partial success, and then a ‘real’ success.

    Absolutely despicable.

  5. Jin let out a loud sigh of relief as he exited the foul-smelling taxi. It had gone quite the long way around the city, or so it had seemed. The driver insisted that it was to dodge the horrible traffic the city was known for, but Jin remained skeptical. All this effort, not to leave a credit trail. Granted he could have probably stolen identity and saved himself some effort, but that'd leave tracks that spending physical cash would not. Or so he hoped. Either way after the conversation, he had with Chelsea back in the diner, he wanted to be as safe as possible. The truth was, they didn't know who, or what they were dealing with yet. He thought he wanted to find out what as soon as possible, but a large part of him still was scared to do so.

Regardless he wasn't sure what answers he was going to get at a hospital. Nothing Chelsea had said had really given him a hint of what their purpose was here either, beyond meeting someone. In fact, the only note he had received about this little meeting was the location and directions to ask for a 'Lady X'. He had half a mind to complain about the vagueness of this all, but it went back to the, be as safe as you can thing, so he had held his tongue, but they really needed to come up with some better way to communicate. He suspected that would be up to him. While pondering a safe way of doing as such, he made his way to the hospital moving towards the front desk.

"Ah, herro, I am..uh Job Hiro. Do U know wharre Lady X is?" Jin said to the attendant overplaying a very vague Asian accent. She looked at him with a confused smile before sending him off to room 255. After a grateful nod, Jin made his way towards it. His journey took him to the ICU ward, something he had not expected. He wasn't quite sure why they wanted to meet at a hospital but had assumed they were going to meet in a conference room or an office. Not a patient room, but sure enough as he arrived he could easily identify the room as one. Speicicialy the room was for Wendy Ann Quinn, a name that Roland did not recognize. Stepping in he made a quick note of the room's occupants. First, there was Chelsea, then there was some teenaged girl Jin didn't recognize, and then there was the girl tied into a VR machine. "I guess that's Wendy," Jin muttered under his breath, before taking in Danielle with a cursory glance. "Ah... I guess you are the one we were supposed to meet here? I uhm.. I'm.." He paused, turning to Chelsea, "Are we giving out our real names? Is that safe? No, let's use code names. Call me Mr. J." He said with a nod before moving back through the room, scanning the get well cards that had been sitting out. Whoever this Wendy was, she had been here for awhile.

  6. img "..."

Chelsea shook her head. She kept hearing Danielle's voice in Cain's and it was... a mix of funny and disgusting. This wasn't the time for this sort of thing. Cain or.. uh Danielle was pretty quick to understand. That was surprising but Chelsea was glad for it.

"That's what I thought too. A murderer that is using the VR to get rid of targets. That works for some people but that doesn't explain every murder and Raina and Wendy, I don't have any idea how they can be here and in the game. It doesn't make sense. Raina in particular."

There was of course, a explanation. One she and Watanabe had both agreed on earlier. It was the only theory that fit the scenario anyway. Other than... some magic mumbo jumbo. Chelsea refused to accept her life becoming any more of some over a decade old generic anime clone than it already was.

    Although something Danielle said...

"This girl is... alive in the game? If she is in a coma... that's..."

Not even possible, was what she wanted to say. Although the doctors really had little idea what this particular victims problem was from what she had gathered. Then the same rule of a in game data clone works here too most likely.

Danielle said something even more enlightening. Maybe she was sharper than Chelsea thought.

"Uploading a mind? ...No. I don't have any proof to suggest otherwise. If the characters running around in the game think and act like the players themselves. No, that's impossible. My father would never allow people to do this..."

Chelsea refused to think about something that twisted. There were some companies that may have dreamed of dabbling into such a area. Never would Nexus. Not until now that is.

"Until I know more, They are remnants of copied brainwaves in the code. Nothing more."

It was then that Watanbe finally arrived. Yeesh he took long enough didn't he?

"Mr.... J. This is Danielle and yes, we have been talking. Danielle, this is one of the few allies I have gained in solving this."
