Quest - Brisshal Completionist!

Quest - Brisshal Completionist!

  1. The desperate need to see all that this utopian reality had to offer caused Shangri La to accept the quest. Really, it was the perfect quest for sight-seeing. According to Trinity, "The Mascot Girl", the mission was to essentially explore all of Brisshal. Within seconds of reading through the quest she had accepted and immediately launched into a group finder queue. Her eyes squinted at the pop-up, puzzled by its appearance. If she was just exploring why was there need for two other people? She'd much prefer the silence of traveling alone.

Shangri La scanned over the mission text once more and - Oh, there was a lot she had missed. The objective wasn't nearly as simple as traveling to each location of Brisshal. Silly her to think it would be that easy of a quest. It appeared that at least one of every monster had to be defeated and every item that could possibly be found had to be collected. She groaned as she realized her relaxing task just turned tedious.

After sending out a quick message with her "looking for group" status, she crumpled to the ground. In the time she had she would find some time to enjoy her surroundings if it killed her. Which, technically, the possibilities of it killing her were there given the fact that she was letting down her guard in a place that could have enemies. Oh well. The chances were low and -

Ohhh. That cloud looked like a dragon! At least, it did if you squinted your eyes and turned your head ten degrees to the left. Man these were the perfect, white fluffy clouds to find shapes in.

ooc:// I do not know what happened with this post lol. I am rusty af with openers.

  2. "Brisshal Completionist, huh?" The Faerin walked toward his destination after accepting a Looking for Group Request. He has been playing this game has been more than a week already, and he didn't even got close to see the whole starter area. Heck, he even got to go to the big city called Stokbon, where he applied to a heroic group. He fought against a World Boss and even went through a real life quest to save someone that got stuck in the game! But even with all that, he still haven't done something as simple as exploring the whole Brisshal area.

So grabbing a quest which the objective is exploring most of what Brisshal had to offer was something that could help a lot! And he would finally have a chance to put his brand new equipment into action. He looked at his Dissonant Shield, that opened an eye to look at him and slapped his head with a tentacle, making the Faerin flinch a bit.

"Stop doing that! Just because you are bigger than me?!" He frowned at the shield that made Hanno look even smaller than he already was, why that thing needed to be so stubborn. He sighed and kept walking.

When getting closer to the destination, he oppened his UI again... The group was complete and the members were himself, @Shangri La and @Suda. He pondered, he figured he knew this Suda person, he was in the Witch Ops Recruitment.

While walking, he stopped by and started looking around. That was the place they should meet, so someone should be there already. His eyes observed the ambient, until they spotted a woman on the ground. He raised his head and walked toward her, with his huge shield probably making a big shadow that covered the girl when he got close.

He tilted his head to get into the woman's vision. "Hello! Are you here for the quest?" The Faerin asked, giving a relaxed smile.

  3. Suda stayed staring at his UI. He was taking time to look at it and get comfortable with it. He had saw the marker high in the sky already and saw the looking for group UI fade away right in front of him. He had finally got up from sitting on a tree that was about to tip, and jumped down. He looked up in the sky towards the marker and saw that he quite the way to go. Suda sighed and started walking towards it.

Since he was new, he had no idea what was around him in Brisshal. So, why not try to complete a quest to get stronger and get to know the place a little bit better.

He had finally showed up, looking at the people who had also showed for the Brisshal Completionists quest. He saw this unfamiliar lady, and this very familiar Faerin.

"Wait a minute, your the same Faerin who was with the Witch Ops! What's up?" He held his fist out to @Hanno Futaba, smiling.

  4. Shangri La succumbed to the peaceful tranquility of the world around her. The plains of Brisshal were proving to be an incredibly safe, relaxing area. It was still remarkable just how real Terrasphere looked and felt. Wind gently embraced her cheeks as the vivid green grass provided her a soft bed. If not for the absence of towering buildings ruining the view and producing harmful pollutants it would be easy to confuse this virtual reality with true reality.

Abruptly she was dragged from her wandering daydreams when a shadow eclipsed her frame and her view obstructed by what appeared to be a shield. For a moment she stared in disbelief at the shield, her muscles instinctively tensing. Memories of Titanius flashed through her mind as she stared at the glowing red eye on the shield. Before she could reach for her weapon, however, a friendly face popped into view.

The bright blue hair of the male faerin looked vaguely familiar. Had he been there when Titanius was felled? It would make sense given the appearance of the shield. If he had been in the fight then it was nothing more than remnants he was able to collect and craft into equipment to serve a better purpose. Her guard dropped as she lifted herself up into a sitting position, a lackadaisical smile on her face.

When he asked about the quest her mouthed formed a small "o" shaped. She had completely forgotten that she had been signed up for that. Checking the looking for group function Shangri La noticed that two people had replied within seconds, which might of been a bit of an exaggeration, of her message. Oops.

"Yes, I am." she replied while sheepishly rubbing the back of her head. Before she could continue the conversation their third person, or whom she assumed was their third person, appeared in view. Since they were in a party she could see his name as Suda. This Suda person seemed to know the faerin, Hanno Futaba. That worked out: she wouldn't have to worry about any fighting between the two.

Her head cocked to the side as term she had never heard before entered the conversation. "Witch Ops?" This association, or so she presumed it was something of an organization, was unfamiliar to her. Although, she hadn't been looking into things of the sorts that much so it wasn't that much of a surprise.

"What is.." Shangri La trailed off as something in the distance caught her gaze. A glimpse of faint light was all it took for her eyes to become vacant and her body to step forward as if in a trance. Sweet promises that only she could hear whispered in her head as she was beckoned forward.

Without thought, she pushed passed the two for she had fallen charm to the mesmerizing orb of a will-o-wisp. "She needs our help. She's afraid.." For Shangri La she did not see a willowy trail of smoke. No, it was a lost child that was terrified and wanted its mommy.

Please, I want my mommy! I'm scared.. I-I'm so scared.. I didn't mean to wander off.. There was this pretty butterfly and.. and now I can't find mommy. The soul cried out to Shangri La. "It's okay. We'll help you." she promised, not knowing it was already too late for the child.

  5. He looked at the woman, that had a frightened expression, before noticing he was there. But when he asked about the quest, she looked at him with a forgetful expression. Did she forget about their mission? Hanno couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

Then it was indeed the person that was calling people for that quest, the Faerin felt a small relief. It would've been awkward to just run into the wrong people like that. But before he could say anything to her, @Suda appeared giving them a greeting.

Apparently the man remembered the Faerin from the Witch Ops, which made Hanno smile back at him. "Oh, what's up!" He gave a relaxed smile to the man, bumping their fists together. Another quest, another people to meet!

Adjusting his shield, he turned to the man. "This quest should take very long, we will need to walk everywhere and do a lot of stuff!" He said scratching his head with a careless chuckle, though they would have to fight against some monsters, most of it should be very chill... Or at least he thought it would, until @Shangri La began walking toward a smoke.

That smoke lead to a small child that was lost- But it was flickering a bit. Making Hanno frown, an illusion? Wait, no... The flickering image and the white magic energy revealed the creature's true nature to the Faerin's eyes, it was an Will-O-Wisp.

Hanno then stepped hastly toward the woman, holding her forearm to try to stop her. "Wait up! This is an Will-O-Wisp!" He looked at the soul, and a sad feeling filled his heart. He had heard the lore of those undead creatures before, which meant that it was an actual lost soul from some kid that unfortunately lost their life... His head dropped a bit. "Unfortunately, it's too late. All we can do for this child is banish them, so they can finally stop suffering in this mortal world and go to the afterlife..."

    Free Mode, Activated.

"I'm sorry..." He looked at the poor soul, NPCs couldn't come back to life. That's something he have learned before, and it was something that really bothered him. Specially seeing that someone so young already lost their lives.

  6. Suda smiled when he knew that the Faerin knew him. He sighed and looked up taking in the air, when a sudden grey smoke filled the air. A trail. Leading somewhere. Doesn't seem good. He looked over at the hostess of the quest, looking at her confused. What was happening? Where was the smoke coming from? The questions kept crossing Suda's head regularly until he saw it. The white light that was in the woods. Then the UI popped up. It called the white light a "will-o'-wisp".

What were those? He could hear small, faint voice calling out. The UI described the creature as a spirit, a soul from an NPC who was trapped. Trapped, huh? Suda looked at his teammates and their emotions towards the will-o'-wisp, and it seemed that this was sad enough.

So Suda just looked away. It was really the only thing he could do for something like this. Suda sighed. This quest was about to be long, tedious, and annoying at times, but it's gonna be worth it.
