Trinity moonwalked several paces back as she kept her eye's on the party. She waved and nodded.

You guys have cleared most of the enemies before they respawned! Good job! Now just let your favorite mascot know when you wanna keep going k?!

Sean absolutely decimated his enemy. As he brought his sword down on the bat, it seemed to just fall out of the air, sliced cleanly in half. Woah... Nice. Sean looked over to where the guide had been, noticing a slime now there. DEATH AFFLICTION WHY- "AAAAGH!!" He suddenly yelled, running towards the slime while putting away his sword. Why am I putting away my sword, that's a bad idea times ten!

As he reached the slime, he held out his hand at it. "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" He shouted, sending a series of bolts of fire directly into it.

Shangri La chucked as a blur of blonde hair steaked by her. Half of her was tempted to chastise the teenager: lecture her about the dangers of rushing ahead without knowing what lurked in the shadows. She stopped herself short, though.

Her words would be hypocritical at best given the leisurely pace she’d been previously set to. A bat had latched onto her without being noticed until her teeth pierced into her skin. Yeah.. in game, Shangri La wasn’t the best role model.

Young’uns and their energy. Shangri La wistfully thought to herself which brought her to a momentarily pause. When did she start acting so old? She was only twenty-two for Pete’s sake. All of her real world workload was really beginning to take its toll. That or she spent far too much time with her parents. ... Probably the latter.

She glanced back towards Sean. It’d probably be best if she cleared the way for him given his near debilitating death affiliation. It was only a matter of time before he got himself hurt charging in so recklessly.

With investigation mode on, she was able to easily spot the slime. Huh. Physical damage was weakened: that was useful to know. Although there was nothing about wind damage. That meant she had completely and miserably failed earlier.

Maybe she could shock it. Fried jello anyone? Electricity crackled in the air and—

Oh, shit! Shangri La recalled the energy back into her as she realized Sean had dashed between the slime and the target. Frying an ally was not something she wanted to experience. Relief flooded through her as she headed towards Sean. It was good thing his hair color was so vibrant!

Now they just had to get to Trinity — their target was in sight. Before she stepped into the same zone as the mascot she gestured back toward the rest of her allies.

    Almost there. Last stretch now.

The kitten’s ears folded back tight against her skull, her tail puffed out in surprise and annoyance as the Felis boy not far from her began screaming as he went for a nearby slime. Milah found him both annoying and irritating and, not being shy to show her displeasure, worked on getting as much distance as she could from Sean.

He could get mobbed by monsters for all Milah cared.

In her haste the teen found herself in another zone, Trinity’s voice not far off and seemingly waiting for the entire party to catch up. A glance about confirmed that there were no remaining monsters, meaning that the zone was relatively safe for her and Lycia, and with that taken care of Milah focused instead on this new area.

Part of adventuring was exploring after all, even if they weren’t getting much time to do so between the continuous monster spawns and the AI’s ushering. Index and middle fingers reached back into her temple to activate the aid of Investigation Mode, the Felis allowing her sharp eyes and sensitive ears to look and listen around the zone for anything of interest.

Lycia didn’t understand what all the screaming was about. She visibly winced as the red-hair boy rushed forward to attack another enemy, screaming the entire time. The young kitten blinked and glanced back to Milah. Did screaming make them take more damage? Or was it something else that she wasn’t catching onto.

She shrugged her shoulders, immediately putting the thought on the back burner. Everyone seemed healthy and she couldn’t see any more enemies in the vicinity, so it was time to complete the quest! Er, complete the dungeon! She could see Trinity from where she currently stood so she only had to dash forward with the others to enter the same zone as TerraSphere’s mascot.

I’ll race ya, Lycia called out to her sister with a wink before dashing forward toward the blue-haired teenager.

Trinity unlike the usual very life like NPC's of Terrasphere was far less so when her preprogrammed segments were finished. Much like back when she finished giving run downs of the basics in the beginner villages. Trinity simply stood smiling and waiting.

For being the mascot she was the least developed AI of them all funny enough?

The trip through the cave had been going really smoothly. Why isn't everything trying to kill me? Sean shrugged off his question, grateful for not being dead, and began walking to where the guide was. Expecting a horde of enemies to pop out of the walls, Sean kept looking back and forth, yet nothing attacked him.

"This is starting to make me exhausted, I'm gonna have to take a small break..."

As Sean reached where the guide was waiting for the party, he sat down next to the wall of the cave. "This is taking a lot out of me..." He wiped his head before standing back up. "I think I'm ready. Let's go."

Alrighty then! Now we just head down this long path. We are aboooout halfway guys! Getting the hang of things yet? I hope so because Terrasphere can get real rough real fast HAHAHA! Life's a game though so best to have as much fun as you can am I right, or am I right?!

Walking briskly ahead of the party and slowly getting farther and farther away. Trinity spun around and grinned while waving her hand for them to continue onwards past a large hollow area.

You guys ready for the next lesson!? What am I saying? HAHA! Of course ya are beloved players! It'll be a fun one k?!

The moment the party reached the center of the area. A feeling of dread washed over them. From the shadows themselves emerged beasts..

From the right and left came slimes and bats like before but in larger number and immediately in aggro.

Between the players and the mascot's enthusiastic smile was a duo of hungry, drooling wolves and a single green skinned menace known as the goblin. The goblin wasted no time and began to spin a band with a large rock lodged into it in preparation for a projectile attack as the wolves charged forward.

Yay! It's time for trap zones! Trap areas are super dangerous because they can trigger all sorts of bad things! Sometimes you can use search the moment you enter one to weaken the effect buuuuut sometimes it triggers it anyway k?

As the battle commenced in earnest she gestured towards the goblin, continuing her tutorial.

Don't forget to disrupt powerful attacks. Sometimes it's worth it other times it's not k?!

As Sean stepped further into the cave, swarms of bats and slimes began appearing all around them. "Gah, this is not good for my sanity at all!" Sean complained. In his panic, he saw the green form of a goblin.

Something snapped inside of him. He felt his suppressed anger from his previous experiences swelling up in him. This is the thing that's caused me so much trouble... I will get revenge...

I have a feeling whoever programmed her had a few loose screws…

The words were barely above a whisper as Milah caught up with her twin, eyeing the AI with a mixture of pity and disdain. For a game mascot, and given how the other AIs in TerraSphere were, Trinity left much to be desired. Instead Milah turned to the other Felis and showed her the odd rocks she had found before rushing over. They were smooth and interesting, with just enough grip that Milah felt she could probably throw them a good distance with accuracy and cause some amount of damage…

    Oh come on !

No sooner had they passed the threshold deeper into the cave the Felis felt her body hair standing on end out of instinct, the sudden growling of the wolves and beasts that seemingly appeared out of nowhere catching them all by surprised. A low hiss emanated from Milah’s throat as pushed the stones into her sibling’s hands, the Range Felis already had a means to attack from afar after all, before readying her bow.

In the moment it took Milah to prepare the Felis boy was already launching another fire attack at the biggest target, a beast Milah didn’t recognize but even her noob self could detect it was the most dangerous at this current time—she didn’t really feel like finding out what its attack would do, especially considering Trinity’s comment.

Focus on the dogs and that thing first, we can deal with the others later!

No sooner those words left her lips the brunette allowed her arrow to sail, the stable shot finding it’s mark between the Goblin’s eyes as the creature stopped moving and slowly slumped to its knees and then onto the ground.

Can you just…just…chill out?! @Sean Poteitoku

It was very rare for Lycia to lose her temper or even raise her voice, but the other Felis was getting on her last nerve. Her ears lay flat against her head and her tail was puffed out in exasperation. Sure, they were now surrounded and there were enemies that could collapse on them at any moment, but all the yelling and screaming every time this kid attacked was getting to be ridiculous!

Do you have to make so much noise every time you attack? the kitten Felis asked him, narrowing her lavender eyes at his figure. If it doesn’t help, then can you stop doing it? It makes me nervous! Just…try to fight with a clear head. Okay?

She exhaled a breath of air and swallowed the nerves in her throat, hoping that her music would aid them in battle as it had before. The familiar magic coalesced around her dominant hand which held the finger cymbals. They met and another zing! of electricity zoomed off toward the wolf right in front of her.

I'd have to agree with you there. I've never met such a peculiar AI..

Her voice was a soft whisper. Unless Trinity had super hearing, which would be most unfortunate, the words she spoke were only audible for her teammates. Perhaps she was only to really talk, though. When it came to Terrasphere, Shangri La partook in some abnormal behaviors herself. Still, she liked to believe she was more put together than the programmed girl.

As they neared the center of the room a trap, as their perky mascot guide announced, was triggered. Emotions escalated and tension rose. The young boy continued to freak out at as enemies spawned. This caused the previously optimistic, joyous blonde felis to snap. Something told Shangri La that this was a hard feat to accomplish.

She kept her lips sealed. Trying to diffuse the situation now was a stupid idea, even for her. There was much more pressing and dangerous matters to attend to. With the goblin, whom had been charging something powerful, defeated, Shangri La focused her attention on the wolf Lycia had attacked.

Shangri La quickly propelled herself forward with a strong gust of wind, holding out her spear in order to thrust through her target as she breezed by.

Trinity makes a thoughtful look before backing up some. The party gets gang piled by enemies as she watches without much reaction for a while. After a few moments of combat. She suddenly seems to snap back into guide mode and gestures to the east with a wide swing of the arm.

Beloved players! Remember that trap zones are dangerous, a good idea when you feel overwhelmed is to break through and try to push further into a dungeon k?! Sometimes if you move fast enough, the enemy will lose aggro and will return to just roaming! The path right next to me is the final stretch isn't that the bestest thing ever?! You can do it guys! He felt a sharp pain in his side. "Agh!" He looked to see what it was- A wolf decided to cling to his hip and bite it. "You'll pay for that!" He took a swipe at the wolf, it dislodging and dodging to the side. "Okay, snide remark catgirl, we focus on the enemies now and ignore my Death Afflictions." He was panicking inside, secretly looking for a way out. "No... I won't run. I must fight with everybody else, even if I'm scared."

Death Affliction? Lycia didn’t know what the boy Felis was talking about and her confused expression was indicative of that. Her eyes were narrowed at him and her ears were flat while her tail whisked back and forth in agitation. If only he hadn’t been yelling this entire time, maybe they wouldn’t be surrounded right now. Granted, she was probably wrong, but she liked to think that he was the cause of all this…this…drama!

She winced as the lime bulldozed into her, some of its slimy exterior getting into an open wound and poisoning her. She could feel the sludge in her veins and the blinking icon in the upper right of her visual field confirmed it. However, looking around, her party was getting pummeled as well. She couldn’t prioritize her own health over that of her party mates.

My name is Lycia! she said to the boy, her face flushed with fear, exertion, and poison. Trinity said we just have to get to her, so let’s clear out these baddies and head toward her. I’ll keep you guys healthy, okay?! Forward charge!

Lycia began to hum an up tune beat, her foot tapping as she summoned the musical magic into this plane of existence. It swirled around her, dancing eighth notes and treble clefts mixed with vibrant teal colored swirls and stars. She directed them with the hand that held the cymbals, pointing to the older girl and the Felis boy. A smile crossed her mouth as the magic settled onto their skin, tending to their wounds for the time being.
