_____Nyx did not care for the talking the two seemed to trade at their leisure. What she did care for however was the moment she was set free from her binding as well as her scythe. With her utmost strength she ripped her weapon free from the ground and growled again. One heavy swing across the shield of fire to remove it as she panted lightly. Weapon dragging her to the side a bit as she growled again and adjusted it for another swing.

    ”Annoying…”

_____Weapon spinning around her waist line as it glowed red this time around, Nyx’s focus blurring for a moment from the strain she was forcing herself to fight in but rushed forward all the same. It would not be a surprise if both got caught in her next flow of attacks if they stayed close, mostly because Nyx could only swing the weapon in this state, aiming was still a bit tricky. While her main target was the red hair and cat ears, there was still the off chance.

_____The speed she swung changed, the rapid spinning motions around her waist and to her sides as she went back to full aggression. The red aura of her weapon giving it speed at the cost of power. A bad trade off when it was harder to aim it, but as long as Nyx cut the male a few times she was fine with the lowered productivity. Moving closer to him to match if he tried to step away and spinning the scythe the opposite direction quickly of he tried to clash his sword against it.

_____Nyx just seemed to keep swinging for a good minute or two unless she was stopped again, but at the end of the time she just fell over breathing heavily. Her energy bar screaming for her to stop but despite that she tried to get back up only to fail over and over again. One thing was clear, she did not like the idea of giving up even if she was not in any state to keep going. Her main hope however, was the male was cut up a bit and roughly as drained if not more then her from the attacks.

  2. As the person who had bound the crazy scythe girl tried to explain to him about getting a magic weapon, he just shrugged. "Nah, not enough mone-"

A scythe slammed into his side, sending him spiraling into a nearby tree. A bit dizzy, he got up. "Hey, what was that for, you little brat?" He felt a sharp pain in his side, a big cut appearing. I'll deal with that later. He held out his hand and fired a bolt of fire at the scythe girl's arms, trying to knock the scythe out of them. "Maybe I should ground you from your scythe for a bit!"

  3. Madison watched on as Nyx chased Sean around the clearing, her amusement clearly plastered across her face. The faerin was pretty decent with her unwieldy weapon, tagging the redhead several times with it before the effort of swinging the scythe and screaming bloody murder wore her out.

As the little girl began to slow down, Maddy stood there, casually cutting her corrupted cards in-hand. She could feel their dark energy flowing through her fingertips, begging to be unleashed, yearning to lash out at the world and kill her enemies.

She fought against the dissonant influence. Not enemies, merely inconveniences.

The witch slowly knelt down, her knee planting itself in the soft mossy earth below her. With a deft flick of her wrist, she laid down five cards in a thin arc. The cards ignited with a familiar green energy which soon dissipated into the earth.

Madison glanced up at @Nyx. "Alright sweetie, that's enough for you. Naptime."

A small circle of cream-colored fungal pods grew from the dirt and moss at the fae's feet. Within seconds, a burst of spores erupted from them, attempting to cover the girl and sap her energy even further.

_____It honestly did not take much to put the already drained Nyx to sleep, a final half growl escaped her lips as her eyes closed and she started to black out. The grip on her Scythe releasing as she moved slowly to ball herself up into a small circle. Eyes flickering open as she tried to fight again but ultimately found herself drifting to sleep with a very light whimper escaping her lips. Despite her hostility while awake the way she slept was simply comical to see in comparison.

_____She kept her legs close to her chest, like a cat sleeping, and to top it off even moved her right hand to her lips as she gently kept it there while she rested. If anyone had the nerve to say anything about it to her she would try and behead them in a head beat, the way she slept was something the order forced her to stop doing but it seemed with the force slumber her mind defaulted to something she could relax with. However, how long she would remain asleep was unknown as her free hand reached out for her scythe to semi cuddle it in her sleep.

  5. Sean watched as the scythe psycho curled what he believed was the fetal position and went to sleep. "Thank goodness..." He turned to the woman with the cards again. "Hey, uh... Think you could maybe help me patch up this wound? I sort of don't want to bleed out." He clutched his side, trying his best to not let blood seep out of it. He began walking towards and past the scythe psycho, facing her the entire time as to be ready in case she woke up. "So, uh... Sorry about earlier. Got a bit caught up in the moment with adrenaline by a psychopath trying to cut me in half with a scythe." He sighed. "And yes, I know I'm a nerd. You don't have to rub it in."

  6. Madison couldn't help but to smile as Nyx succumbed to her spores, curling up into a ball on the damp forest floor, cuddling her monstrous weapon like a teddy bear, thumb firmly stuck in her mouth.

The witch clasped her gloved hands together and rested them under her chin. "Aww, now isn't that just adorable," she asked nobody in particular. "What a sweet little murderchild. Do you think instead of sheep, she's counting severed heads?"

She lingered over the faerin long enough to make sure that she was completely out before picking her cards up off the ground. As she slid them across her sleeve to get lingering bits of leaves and grass off them, the redhead apologized for his unwarranted sass and meekly asked for some assistance.

"Hmm?" Madison glanced at the gaping, oozing wound hacked into his torso. Quite an impressive gash, she had to admit. If it weren't for Madison's binding vines, Nyx certainly would've cut him in half earlier.

With a flick of her wrist, Madison slid another card from the deck and cast a spell. A tangle of vines grew from the dirt at her feet, snaking up through the air and loosely wrapping around her outstretched hand. Cutting the spell off, she handed the sticky clumps to Sean.

"Yeah, sure. Wrap these around your waist. Might sting a bit, but should patch you up just fine in a minute or two."

She regarded the boy with a neutral look as he went to work with the bandages. His apology rattled around in her head for a minute as she decided whether or not she would even respond to it. Like hell she'd apologize in kind, but...

A sigh escaped her lips as she decided it would probably be for the best, even if were only to give him a sense of closure about the whole thing. "You don't need to apologize," she began sternly, "you just don't have to waste your time and energy like that. Had you thrown in an extra word or two, that little girl would've run you over."

Madison leaned against a nearby tree before continuing. "A ring, or a focus, or something you can use to just wave in the air and cast your spell isn't that expensive. Grind some mobs, do some quests, and you'll gear up in no time, yeah?"

  7. As Sean got to work bandaging himself, he sighed. You don't have to apologize... It was my fault this started in the first place! Looking over to the woman, now leaning aganst a tree, he sat on the ground. "Well, I honestly hope I can find a magical item that I can have while weilding my sword." He took out his shortsword and twirled it a couple times. "I like to have my magic as a backup, not as a primary option. I prefer to use this sword, you see?" He placed the sword next to him. "Hey, you think I could get a shortsword that doubles as a magic focus?"

  8. Madison tilted her head up in thought. She really should be charging the boy for this advice.

"Doubtful," she said after a while. "From what I understand, your focus needs to be its own little thing. While you can channel a spell into a weapon--so you can have that burning sword you're probably thinking of--you can't channel a spell with a weapon."

It was a tactic she tried in the week that she was spec'd into Martial Arts; a mastery she quickly dropped when she figured it was far easier to just focus on staying the hell away from enemies and throw curses everywhere.

She flashed him a neutral look. "Which is why I suggest a ring. Wear it on your off hand, and you can catch people off-guard with a flash of fire to their face as you parry their strike. It's what I would do, anyway."

Madison pushed herself off the tree. The witch had enough excitement for one afternoon. It was time to get back to her meditation.

"She'll probably be fine," the woman said, motioning towards the sleeping fae. "You can leave her there. Or you can stay and watch over her. Whatever you'd prefer."

The witch offered her a patented Sans Shrug before disappearing back into the brush.

  9. Sean stared, dumbfounded, at what had just transpired, trying to string the events. So I found a psycho scythe girl, almost got chopped in half before a woman with cards appeared and intervened, then actually got hit, and yada yada yada... WHAT. Shrugging, he waved to the woman. "See ya..." He looked back to the psycho scythe girl. "Sleep tight." He picked up his sword and walked away. "I really hope you change for the better."
