_____Another wonderful day full of excitement and pure random possibilities, what a slightly annoying thing it was but fun for Kaede all the same. Right hand held the spine of her grimoire as she walked around the manor overlooking the blank pages and flipping them every so often with her left hand. That was, in rough how others saw Kaede when she passed them. To her the pages had ever changing words and pictures, different routes she could take for the day and so far Kaede could not pick one that seemed slightly interesting or more so then the others, but she was in no rush either.

_____As Kaede approached one set of maids walking towards her she smiled and moved in the nick of time, hand reaching out to catch the falling maid as she tripped on her own feet trying to bow and walk at the same time. Kaede pulling the maid closer as the girl blushed before lightly kissing her cheek and giving her a small spin to return her on her way with a smile. After the two rushed off Kaede simply went back to focusing on her book. Stopping in her tracks when she found something interesting.

”Oh look, a new player will be joining the game… Oh?~ And it seems the likelihood it’s a lovely young maiden is higher than that of a male, this chance simply can not be missed!~ To brisshal!”

_____Book clasping shut as Kaede moved it to her side and went to go get what she would need for her trip. It seemed to be rather often Kaede found herself leaving the house, avoiding the chance to stay locked in her own head in fear she might return to the rather dangerous mindset she once found herself in, but that was something she would not let people know, oh no-no that was her dirty little secret.~

_____Once she had her pack made and convinced the guards to tell her father some story that made it seem like Kaede was not once again going to get herself into some trouble she set out to find it. While sure not all new players got into trouble right away most that ran into Kaede ended up in such ways, more so the woman Kaede encountered. But that was not proven! Skipping along the path Kaede made her way to Brisshal.

_____By the time she arrived it seemed roughly mid-day, sure if she looked to the sun she could get a closer time stamp but she was more focused on the area before her as she skipped and hummed searching for anyone who looked extremely new. Her fingers crossed that fate would allow her to meet a lovely young lady or woman rather than a male. But only time could tell now as Kaede hopped a fallen tree and kept going.

 

Mahiru had spawned into Terrasphere.

Looking around, she didn't notice anything special. This looks just like real life, what's so special about this...? She decided to take a walk through the forest she was in. She noted how everything seemed so lifelike, even though she's in a game. "Woah..." She tripped on a tree root and fell on her face with a resounding thud. Making a small whimper, she picked herself up and began dusting the dust off her.

She didn't seem to notice the angry pack of wolves attracted by the sound of her fall until they were right near her. Hearing a growling noise, she looked around to see that she was surrounded by angry, and probably hungry, wolves. "Agh... Stay away!" She shouted, a blast of wind exploding from her and knocking all the wolves off their feet, as well as probably alerting almost every living thing in the vicinity of her existence and location. Panicking, she grabbed the tree she fell on earlier and climbed up to one of the branches, clinging to it.

"Help..."

 

_____Kaede blinked as her book glowed lightly, hand reaching to look at the new message before sparks flickered off her frame for the picture it gave her. Form turning into Cosmic energy as she started a force blast behind her to jet stream forward while sealing her book again. It was one thing for a girl to be in danger, but if the image showed a very bad ending of a beginning getting torn to shreds Kaede was not going to allow that. Arriving at the scene as Kaede slammed into the first wolf and threw it aside.

_____It likely seemed very odd, a humanoid figure akin to a woman floating between the pack of wolves to keep itself guarding the girl. Much more when the form seemed to shift like constellations. Then with a simple snap of her finger a wave of energy slammed into the wolves and sent them flying in every direction. The wave was also set, to stay low as to keep it from throwing the girl above Kaede somewhere. Listening as the pack scurried away clearly not stupid enough to take on the new arrival Kaede sighed and allowed her form to return to normal.

”Honestly you stupid book warn me sooner if a girl is in trouble! Sure being a hero for them is fun in all but… ...Oh sorry… That sounds like I’m crazy… I swear I’m not… ...maybe… I forget what people define crazy sometimes…”

_____Kaede held her book out as she seemed to lecture it before she recalled the girl in the tree and quickly tried to act a bit more… well ‘normal’. Moving to offer a hand to help her down as Kaede smiled. Once the girl was down, and should she have taken Kaede’s hand she would quickly pull the girl in and wrap her other arm around her waist with a playful smile. Kaede’s air seemed friendly enough despite the sudden action and to be fair Kaede had no plans to do anything just yet, mostly because her cosmic energy still had to cool down before trying something.

”Sorry I was slightly late Milady.~ I’m Kaede, Kaede Hoshi. Might i have the pleasure of knowing the name of such a wonderful person to urge me to rush into the jaws of danger to save her from harm?~”

_____Kaede smiled as she slowly loosened her hold on @Mahiru Wind so the girl could step away if she felt so inclined. Kaede then took a brief moment to adjust her book back to her belt and smiled again. From a distance she was cute, and up close she was still growing but Kaede saw something in the girl that drew her interest. Stepping forward Kaede leaned down and got in the girl’s personal bubble.

 

Mahiru stared in confusion at the arrival of a woman who quickly dispatched of the wolves. Okay, that happened? Visibly shaking, she took the woman's hand and got down from the tree.

Mahiru made a small shriek when she was dragged in by the woman, beginning to shake even more.

”Sorry I was slightly late Milady.~ I’m Kaede, Kaede Hoshi. Might i have the pleasure of knowing the name of such a wonderful person to urge me to rush into the jaws of danger to save her from harm?~”

As soon as she found an opening, Mahiru stumbled out of Kaede's grasp and backed into the tree she hid on, blushing a deep red. "M-Mahiru..."

 

_____Kaede smiled gently as the girl backed away from her, it was not that shocking since Kaede’s actions thus far had been rather aggressive to most. Trying to ease the girl was one thought, but at the same time Kaede could not help but enjoy how she was already red. Stepping forward as Kaede knelt slightly and tried to look concerned for a moment, it wasn’t hard since she was worried she was making a bad first impression thus far.

”I’m sorry, I didn't mean to make a bad first impression my dear. You just got my interest so much… that sounds wrong… we only just met… least as far as current time has progressed…”

_____Kaede moved back as she started to blush herself. ‘Way to go Kaede not only did you startle the girl now you sound crazy for talking about Astral foresight.’ A light sigh escaping her lips as she demoted her mood with her thoughts before she smiled again and tried to get over it and make progress to atone. Hand reaching out for a simple handshake that Kaede would not mind if it was declined but seem happy if it was accepted.

”Sorry… when I get excited I talk a bit… well odd I think ha-ha. Anyways sorry that had to be the first few events when you logged into the game. I assure you as long as you feel luck is on your side this world can be rather fun when you give it the chance.~”

_____Kaede smiled as she stood up straight and looked to the forest, her ears twitching as she listened to the lighter sounds that Mahiru likely could not hear nearly as clear. Outside the fact the girl was a felis, she did not have the Hunting mastery to boost her hearing slightly more, or the focus on minor thing to the degree Kaede had most likely. Turning back to the girl Kaede smiled and waved for her to follow before speaking again.

”Come on, let me show you something cool.~ We happen to be close enough to it thankfully so it’s not that long of a walk.~”

_____Turning her back to @Mahiru Wind as Kaede started to walk roughly back the way she had come towards the spot she recalled from one of her past trips to this area. It was a good thing she had great memory, not having her UI to look at a map would be bad otherwise. Turning to check of the girl was following, and waving her hand to try and egg the girl to walk beside Kaede if she tried to stay behind the girl who seemed to like getting close to her.

 

Mahiru wasn't particularly startled from the woman, being more confused than anything. As the woman held out her hand, Mahiru slightly reached out and shook it. Maybe she isn't a bad person...?

”I’m sorry, I didn't mean to make a bad first impression my dear. You just got my interest so much… that sounds wrong… we only just met… least as far as current time has progressed… Sorry… when I get excited I talk a bit… well odd I think ha-ha. Anyways sorry that had to be the first few events when you logged into the game. I assure you as long as you feel luck is on your side this world can be rather fun when you give it the chance.~ Come on, let me show you something cool.~ We happen to be close enough to it thankfully so it’s not that long of a walk.~”

Mahiru had no idea what the woman was talking about. I'll just go along with it for now... She silently nodded and began following slightly behind the woman, praying that she won't get attacked again.

 

_____As long as Kaede had any say there would be nothing dumb enough to try and attack the two. Humming happily as Kaede slowed down to move alongside the girl before the sound of running water would catch the girl’s ears. Not long after the forest would break away to reveal a peaceful small waterfall of crystal water. Looking closer the water’s color seemed to shift into numerous colors as the sun reflected off the stones below the water. Kaede smiling happily as she moved to take her boots and socks off while getting closer to the water.

_____Taking a moment to sit down before she pulled her pant legs back enough to soak her feet in the slightly chilled water and calmly relax while waving for @Mahiru Wind to join her. Kaede wanted to make up for her early space breaking, but at the same time was seriously tempted to break it again because the girl just seemed so shy and adorable. Moving to shake the idea from her head Kaede leaned back and kicked the water slowly.

”So… Why Felis for race? Have a thing for cats? Or drawn to the cuteness of them?~”

_____Kaede wanted the girl to speak a bit more, she wanted to feel like she was making some progress to convincing the girl she was not some weirdo. While it did not show on her relaxed smile Kaede was worried out of her mind that she had went and scared a girl. It was one of her worst fears to do such. A nervous hum as she looked over to Mahiru and tried to fight her mind yet again when she looked at the girl but sadly failed this time.

_____Moving closer to Mahiru Kaede reached for the girl’s tail and gently rubbed it while leaning in closer. Her eyes flickering with excitement for a moment before she moved to sit directly beside the girl and pull her closer once she let go of her tail. A happy hum as she tried to keep the girl close with the slight hold while showing she was just, well overly friendly for the time being. That however would likely stop if Mahiru got flustered, drawing Kaede to reach her hand lower to the girl’s waist rather than her stomach side.

”This might seem odd to ask… but… Do you have someone special in your life…?~”

 

Mahiru followed Kaede to the clearing. Immediately, she let out a subconscious "Woah..." at all the colors reflecting off the water. She watched Kaede dip her feet into the water and beckon her over, running over to the water and looking at it on all fours. I wonder what it'd be like to swim in this...

”So… Why Felis for race? Have a thing for cats? Or drawn to the cuteness of them?~”

At the question, Mahiru simply looked at Kaede. "Anime..." As she went back to staring at the water, she felt a tingling sensation. "A-ah!" She quickly pulled away, falling into the pond in the process. "Not funny..."

”This might seem odd to ask… but… Do you have someone special in your life…?~”

Mahiru's previous shade of red paled in comparison to the blush forming on her face. "N-no!" She quickly scrambled back onto land, laying on her back.

 

_____When the girl got wet, well Kaede just about lost her struggle. Her face glowing with laughter as she moved over to the girl and sat down beside her. Index slightly poking her nose before she leaned down to kiss the girl, and unless she moved the kiss would find itself against Mahiru’s lips. A soft, but by no means quick kiss as Kaede moved her bangs aside so she could see her reaction. A smile as she moved her lips away and moved to sit just over the girl’s waist to likely keep her against the ground.

”Either you are trying very hard to enact this super cute kitten…~ Or…~”

Kaede leaned down pressing a hand to Mahiru’s chest and moving to claim another kiss from the girl before speaking again.

”You seriously are this bashful in real life and i can’t resist that sort of thing ever.~”

_____Kaede moved off @Mahiru Wind but by no means left her side as she blushed and reached to hold the girl’s hands to keep her close. She could not stop herself at this point from wanting to keep the girl close, even if it was creepy or scary since they just met. Kaede wanted the girl to be happy, but at the same token her heart strings had been plucked enough to make her desire the girl more than just having her smile.

_____Moving away slightly Kaede tried one last time to fight herself from making the girl cry or worse hate her. She wanted her to be happy, she had to remember her oath, she had to view what they wanted more then her own desires… if she did not she would be no different from the males that took Kaede’s happiness away the first two times. Sitting on her hands Kaede tried to look like she was sorry for her actions, but the smile on her face betrayed most her efforts. Kissing a new girl always was exciting to her… even on the cheek...

 

Being brought in for a kiss was one of the last things Mahiru expected. As Kaede's lips met hers, she let out a small yelp of surprise, yet it got muffled. As she broke away from the kiss, she touched her lips, trying to comprehend what just happened...

”Either you are trying very hard to enact this super cute kitten…~ Or…~”

She got dragged into another kiss. Confused, she just let it happen, stumbling to the ground when the kiss ended.

”You seriously are this bashful in real life and i can’t resist that sort of thing ever.~”

As Mahiru was pulled to Kaede's side, she could do nothing but let out a small "Ah... Uh..." Eventually giving up, she sighed and rested her head on the woman's side. Maybe this isn't so bad... She smiled slightly, still blushing from the kisses.

 

_____When the girl did not stray away from Kaede she just seemed relaxed, it was not so uncommon it seemed that a girl was just shy at first. Keeping her hands under her own frame though was Kaede’s one term for the time being as she enjoyed the girl’s blush and simply tried to limit herself to anything more to her imagination until it was cleared that it was ok. Moving to soak her feet again Kaede hummed happily for a moment before she got the urge to speak up again.

”If you would like you can tell me ground rules for touching… I’ll respect them or accept any punishment for breaking your trust… I just… well… How do I say it…”

_____Kaede fumbled her words and blushed more. She was always one for knowing what to say unless she was trying to walk on what she assumed thin ice with a girl she wanted to invite to her harem. Kaede shook her head rapidly, she still had to gain the girl’s trust before even thinking of that sort of thing, being somewhat saint was really not Kaede’s cup of tea or coffee. Looking down at @Mahiru Wind Kaede smiled lightly before trying to speak her words again.

”I… Well to say it bluntly… Really love woman… Like… to the point I can’t always resist them at times… Sometimes… if they are seriously shy and bashful I get… well you already saw how I get… I’ve tried to stop those outbreaks… but clearly I have failed each time…”

_____Kaede nervously swayed, not enough to disrupt Mahiru, but enough to be noticed this was not exactly easy for her. She wanted to make the girl smile but at the same time her heart wanted more from her then most would simply give to someone they just met. Moving her focus to the water Kaede tried to distract herself some to avoid her thoughts from pushing her to act again.

 

As Mahiru snuggled against Kaede, she could feel her warmth. "Feels nice..." She started to drift to sleep before getting woken up.

Mahiru made a small shrugging noise. "So do I... It's fine..." She started to drift back into sleep, having tired herself out by using her wind magic. Maybe I shouldn't use my wind magic so much for a while... Eh, it's fine.

 

_____When Kaede noticed Mahiru had fallen asleep laying against her Kaede felt bad. Not because she lost the chance to get a reply from the girl but because she was still covered in water and could catch a cold if the winds got colder. Biting her lower lip as she had to already go back against her word if she wanted to make sure the girl was not in any danger of getting sick or worse ‘death by common cold’. Moving her hands free Kaede carefully moved to pick the girl up in a princess carry and gathered her things to start walking.

_____Crossing a forest barefoot, not on her list of things she had planned, holding her boots and socks below a girl with her fingers while trying her best to make sure she did not stir the child, again not what she expected. But with a calm smile Kaede moved along the familaure landmarks until she found one of her small hunting caves and moved inside. Laying the girl down on the bed and covering her with fur skin sheets Kaede went to get a fire started and kept it low burn.

_____Eyes setting on the girl for a moment Before Kaede decided to take a quick window of time to go hunt some food for them to eat. It would likely take almost the remaining time the girl was asleep to return with some fruits and wild hunt to prep, but Kaede did not mind it so much. Cutting the items up, and getting the meat cooking over the low fire Kaede just hummed lightly hoping the girl was warm enough to not catch a cold. Blinking a few times before she left the food near the fire and went to go get something the girl could wear, and block off a part of the room so she could change in privacy.

_____When @Mahiru Wind began to Stir Kaede eased the sound of her humming and focused on the food she still had a little time to finish setting up. A afterthought reaching her mind that the girl might not eat meat or be allergic to some of the thing she had gathered rose. It was just simply a issue she would have to deal with later. If Mahiru looked to Kaede she would smile gently, if she looked Kaede over she seemed a bit worse for ware. Her feet cut up a bit, arms cut and a slight trail of blood dried to her lip.

”There is some spare cloths that might fit you over there, and you can change behind the curtain area so you don’t catch a cold from staying in those clothes. After that the food… I think should be done… To make a claim… My dad and the maids did the cooking… so this is all guess work for me…”

 

When Mahiru woke up, she was in a cave on a bed. Why am I in a cave? Why is there a bed in this cave? She looked around. It seemed to be some sort of camp. Is this where Kaede stays? She noticed Kaede doing some cooking. "Morning already...?" She wiped her eyes and stood up, listening to what her savior said. "Oh... Thank you, Kaede..." She took the spare clothes and went into the curtain area, changing into them and coming out holding her previous outfit. "I think it looks nice on me... Wait, maids...?" If Kaede has maids, she couldn't stay here, it's too small. Then... Where? Wait... Am I opening up to somebody?

 

_____Kaede chuckled lightly at the girl’s reaction to Kaede’s mention of maids. To be fair it still shocked even Kaede sometimes when they woke her up nowadays. Moving the meat away from the fire to double check it before letting it set over it a bit longer. Hand moving to offer @Mahiru Wind a plate of fruits. Mostly apples cut to look like little bunnies and a strange fruit with a straw in it. It’s taste was sweet like honey, but not as heavy so it could move through the straw.

”Yea, when I started playing it seemed like I got a lesser nobleman to start calling me his adopted daughter so I ended up living in a manor with maids and butlers… Then there was the time i lost my memories of the game and ran around as a huntress in a red cloak until my friend helped me get them back but I still recall where most my little hunting outpost are. Helps when the maids try to get me in a frilly dress.~”

_____Kaede grinned at the small tomboy joke she tried to make, she heated frilly and girly dresses. Moving one the meat sticks to offer the not burnt wood side to Mahiru while Kaede held the other with a wet cloth to avoid burning herself. Taking the other for herself and leaving the third incase the girl wanted seconds and began to blow on her food. It was slightly crisp, and a tad over salted but cooked all the way and tasted like chicken.

_____Moving to offer to hang up the wet cloths near the fire so they dried quicker before she sat back down and whistled lightly. It seemed odd until there was a light bark sound from outside and a moment later a black and red wolf rushed in to sit next to Kaede wagging his tail and tipping his head. It took Kaede all of the moment while she gave him a piece of her food to recall the girl just got finished being scared by wolves and did not warn her about her puppy.

”He is not like the other wolves… This is Tsuki-yumi, my little lunatic pup. Least that was what it said in my UI back when I could use it…”

_____Hearing his name the wolf barked again like a puppy wound and began rolling around near the fire enjoying himself. Kaede laughing lightly as she reached her hand out to pet him and he rushed back over and happily enjoyed the rub behind his right ear before running back outside to chase a bird.

”Some times despite his size I seriously think he is still a puppy that one… he has the attention span of a hummingbird or a toddler. And if the normal wolf size is still a puppy for that one… I need to train him to avoid tackling me so I don’t get crushed when he gets older…”
