    Zone 13 Shulgana's Revenant [509/???]
    Blood Shroud [30/30]

    Skills
<<Guardian>> The foe before you is dangerous, and any diverted effort will spell your doom. The Womb cannot be targeted as long as Shulgana’s Revenant lives.

<<Anti Military>> Outnumbered, the Revenant may be, but outmatched, he is not. The more foes there are, the more actions Shulgana’s Revenant can perform per turn.

<<Gargantuan Might>> An understated size belies an uncommon ferocity, the earth sundered as easily as breaking bones. Shulgana’s Revenant can perform AOE attacks and inflict Physical Debuffs.

<<Master Duelist>> Fury alone cannot overcome your foe, for the patterns within thoughtless violence are read much more easily than controlled strikes. Only two Reckless Attacks can be performed upon the Revenant per cycle. All other Reckless attacks are negated afterwards.

<<Critical Eye>> The difference between life and death is separated by a razor thin line, and one’s ultimate fate is but a skillful thrust or a lucky roll away. At the start of the cycle, a d12 is rolled. If the result is 12, the first attack of Shulgana’s Revenant is doubled in damage.

<<Spell Ward>> Even magic can be slain if the caster stays in range of that wicked spear. Incantations are so easily disrupted, after all. When magic is used within one zone of the Revenant, a d4 must be rolled. On a 1, the spell fails, and the mage’s action is consumed.

    Blessings
<<Shulgana’s Revenant>> The title granted to one that had sold their soul to an Outer God. As a medium in which this foreign divinity exercises its might, this Revenant holds both divine might and thaumaturgy. Enables one to receive blessings from the Outer God, Shulgana, as well as the evocation of Deitic Skills.

<<Blood Feast>> The hunger lasts eternal, for the goddess’s demands are eternal, her gluttony the Revenant’s own. His heart pounds not with his own tainted blood, but with the scarlet ichor of his foes.

<<Blood Veil>> The Revenant’s sin, the Revenant’s shield. The fallen embrace their brethren, protecting him from the vicious strikes of his enemies.

<<Lightless>> The blessing granted to the Revenant after slaying an ingenious child. Each spearstrike leaves a trail of crystalline growth, forcing wounds open, forcing the blood to flow eternal.

    <<Berserk>> ???

<<Ashen>> The blessing granted to the Revenant after slaying a proud swordsman. Wreathed in blue flame, each blow sets his foes ablaze, living sacrifices immolated in the name of his goddess.

<<Blackened>> The blessing granted to the Revenant after slaying a bipolar illusionist. Dark chains emanate around him, inciting blind wrath in the hearts of all those who venture too close.

    <<Desecrated>> ???

    <<Predatory>> ???
Having set its roots deep in the forests of Brisshal, the Otherworldly Womb can aid its guardian as well, mutating the surrounding environment and turning it against the adventurers that seek to sanctify the land. At the start of every cycle, the Womb will randomly perform one of four actions.
    • ???
    • Elevate The terrain in two zones rises upwards, knocking people off in random directions and making it impossible to traverse unless one has an Awakened Mastery with a Mobility or Shapeshift tag, and you can not shoot through these zones with Ranged attacks. A normal attack dealing more than 120 is required to level the ground once again, with Geomancy or Bludgeon dealing double damage. If not destroyed, the raised earth persists.
    • ???
    • ???
The Otherworldly Womb can not be targetted until Shulgana's Revenant is vanquished.
    Combat Notes:
Zone 9 and 15 have been <<Elevated>> due to the environmental influence of the Womb. @Gear has been randomly shifted onto Zone 10, receiving 20 (10x2) HP damage for entering the Zone.

<<Blood Shroud>> has activated. The first attack dealt upon Shulgana's Revenant will be reduced by 30 damage.

<<Blood Feast>> has activated. Shulgana's Revenant heals for 100 HP.

@Seigi is <<Blackened>>, but the effect is automatically dispelled by Stalwart. One stack remains.

@Gear @Blank are <<Blackened>>. During this cycle, they cannot perform any actions other than Attacking or Recklessly Attacking Shulgana's Revenant, and cannot move out of the Zone they are currently in. This is a Magical debuff.

@Gear @Blank are <<Burning I>>. On the next cycle, they will receive 10 HP damage. This is a Magical debuff.

@Gear is <<Pinned>>. During this cycle, he cannot perform physical attacks or move. This is a Physical debuff. He can remove this with a free action by making a DC of 80, rolling a d100 + 5 per tier of Health or Heroic Might. Buffs count. Allies in the same Zone as him can assist with a supplementary d40 adding to his own DC roll, at the cost of 5 EN, OR by removing the <<Elevated>> effect on Zone 9. On a failed roll, Gear receives another 20 HP damage.

@Blank is <<Pinned>>. During this cycle, she cannot perform physical attacks or move. This is a Physical debuff. She can remove this with a free action by making a DC of 160, rolling a d100 + 5 per tier of Health or Heroic Might. Buffs count. Allies can reduce this DC by attacking Shulgana's Revenant, lowering the DC per point of damage dealt. If the DC is reduced to 0, Blank is no longer <<Pinned>>.

@Blank is <<Silenced>>. She cannot cast magic, due to her jaw being broken and half her teeth falling out. This is a Physical debuff. This debuff can be removed by making a Heal check of 45. Any extra HP left over after clearing the Heal check applies to her regular HP bar.

@Gear receives 80 (40x2) HP damage. This damage is applied to his Max HP as well, due to the <<Lightless>> effect.

    @Blank receives 20 (40/2) HP damage.

    @Blank is <<Marked>>.

Important Note: Each Zone can only be occupied by a maximum of three players at once.

Zone 1 Muddy and miserable, the dirt beneath is soaked with blood. It squelches beneath your feet, but is of no concern otherwise.

Zone 2, 3, 4 The ground crackles beneath your feet, a crystalline surface providing stable footing. Beneath, one can partially see the ruptured earth, indicative of a violent altercation.

Zone 5, 10 Signs of a brutal fight linger, jagged, broken spikes and shrapnel filling the cracked earth, still sharp enough to cut. When entering or ending a turn in this Zone, receive 10 damage.

Zone 6, 11, 16 Corrupted vegetation writhes aggressively, squirming in search for a heartbeat. Though individually weak, they deter all those that try to escape. When exiting this Zone, consume two movements instead of one. When attacking from this Zone, reduce the damage dealt by 20.

Zone 7, 8, 12 Against all odds, a field of resilient flowers has bloomed upon the battlescarred land, petals scattering with each attack performed in this Zone.

Zone 9, 17, 21 The remains of a massive crimson spike lies upon the ground, roughly half the height of a human. Ranged attacks targetting those within the Zone are reduced in effectiveness by half. A powerful enough attack specifically targetting the fallen spike may be powerful enough to destroy it, however, removing any cover one may have in the particular zone.

Zone 13 Fragments of permafrost are scattered over the area, while a sanguine staircase rises out of an unfathomably deep pit. It wasn't completely successful last time, but this time around...

Zone 14, 15, 20 Deep craters, as if caused by meteorites, scar the barren earth. Ranged attacks performed in this Zone and ranged attacks targetting this zone are reduced by 15.

Zone 18, 22, 24 The remains of a ruined tower, scattered in three directions. Large piles of rubble partially obscure the Otherworldly Womb, and makes it difficult to approach. When entering this Zone, consume two Movements instead of one.

Zone 19, 25 A forest of stakes, upon which half eaten beasts are skewered, their putrid blood running down the spikes. Ranged attacks targetting this zone are reduced by 10.

Zone 23 The Otherworldy Womb, cradled by what appears to be two sickly green hands. Dark veins rise over the translucent surface, and it pulsates like a heart. A nigh impenetrable sanguine veil shrouds it, protecting it from outside influences.
Movement Every turn, you may move to one Zone adjacent (diagonal movement is NOT allowed) to your current one for free. If you have a Mastery with the Mobility tag, you can make extra movements, depending what tier that mastery is at. At Trained, you get one extra movement. At Adept, you get two extra movements. At Mastered, you get three extra movements, for a total of four movements per turn. Ending your turn on certain Zones may trigger events.

Range Ranged and Magical attacks can reach up to three zones away, but may have reduced damage due to terrain. Support actions can reach up to two zones away, except for Tinker which is melee range. Melee attacks can only target those within the same Zone as the attacker, but they can opt to roll a 6d20 on a normal attack rather than a d100. If you have the Tinker Mastery, you can change a Melee attack into a Ranged attack, at the cost of expending 5 EN.
As potent as medicine and magic are, not all scars can be removed so easily. In combat, status afflictions earned are divided into three separate categories, each with their own method of treatment. These are Physical, Mental, and Magical.
    • Physical Afflictions A broken arm, a blackened eye, a punctured lung. Particularly grisly wounds have a notably negative effect upon an adventurer's aptitude, and can not be merely dispelled. Instead, healing must be applied to fill a quota that is separate from their overall HP bar. If left untended, these grevious wounds may worsen over time.
    • Mental Afflictions Fear, revulsion, horror, whether brought up by past trauma, the current situation, or one's Death Afflictions, can not be removed at all in the heat of battle. A pep talk may rouse one's spirit, but the tremors remain eternal. Once mentally afflicted, only a long rest will be able to remove such burdens.
    • Magical Afflictions The flames that engulf one's body. The metamorphisis of your flesh. Horrific as they may seem, afflictions of a magical origin are easily dispelled, and rarely have any lingering side effects afterwards.

    Actions
Everyone is allowed to perform one of these actions per cycle. RP-wise, you can do a number of things, but the system only counts the action you pick from the spreadsheet. If you have the relevant masteries, there may also be Special Actions or Awakened Actions you can perform. Be sure to check them out~
Strenuous Effort [Everyone] By permanently sacrificing HP (reduce both your current HP value and your maximum HP value), you can gain a bonus modifier to your roll equal to the amount of HP spent, up to a maximum of 50. This modifier can not be applied to Support actions.

    Heroic Aura
Stalwart Passive. No matter what maledictions are poured upon you, a hero will not falter. Excluding Beginner, each tier of Heroic Aura grants you a stack of Stalwart at the beginning of combat. Each stack automatically dispels a magical debuff, before being consumed.

Rouse Free action, costing 10 EN. Establish your Heroic Aura, the radiant banner that empowers all your allies. Grant either a +10 damage buff that stacks over other buffs, a +10 HP Shield, or immunity to a single debuff for the next cycle to everyone in your party.

Warcry Action, costing 20 EN. Can only be used once every three cycles. Unleash a devastating roar, stunning all minions on the battlefield and performing a Disruptive Attack upon all those in the same Zone as you. Use Heroic Might as the modifier. If the resulting score is high enough, enemies in the same Zone will be knocked back one space as well.

    Limit Break[Seigi Only] ???

    Shadow Dancing
Shroud Passive. Dissolve into the shadows, becoming an elusive phantom, a shattered memory. Excluding Beginner, each tier of Shadow Dancing grants you a stack of Shroud at the beginning of combat. Each stack reduces incoming physical attacks by 20 damage, before being consumed.

Stalk Free action, costing 10 EN. Melt away and reappear within the shadow of another, prepared for a sneaky follow up. Instead of moving regularly, appear in the same Zone as an ally. If the chosen ally attacks and you choose to attack as well, apply Shadow Dancing as Damage Supplementation.

Lurk Action, costing 20 EN. Can only be used once every three cycles. Fully immerse yourself in the underside of reality. Remove yourself from the battlefield, effectively becoming immune to all damage for the duration of the cycle, except in the case of interplanar attacks.

    Limit Break [Magi Only] ???

    Cosmic Retribution
Predict Passive. Perceiving the seconds between an ally's attack and an enemy's reaction, you ensure that even a miss will hit. Excluding Beginner, each tier of Cosmic Retribution grants you a stack of Predict at the beginning of combat. Each stack negates the AC of an enemy for a single attack, before being consumed.

Divine Free action, costs 15 EN. Dive into the infinite spectrum of alternate fates in order to foresee the near-future. Once half the party has posted, you can use Astral Magic to see one Cycle into the future, before warning your allies of prescient dangers. Note, however, that the future is liquid, and will change in accordance to how you act.

Ascend Shapeshift. Can only be done once per Challenge. Costs 20 EN and 20 HP at the start of every cycle. Leave your mortal body behind and transform into an avatar of celestial wrath. You cannot perform any actions that are not Attack, Critical Attack or Reckless Attack. You cannot be healed or protected. The dice value of your attacks are automatically set to 70, and the range of your attacks is unlimited. Furthermore, you have access to extra modifiers for your attacks.
    • Nova Burst Costs 10 EN. Target the Zone, rather than an individual.
    • Dimensional Tear Costs 10 EN. Permanently reduce Target's AC by 20.
    • Gravity Well Costs 10 EN. Halve the Target's Movement Speed for the next cycle.
    • Limit Break [Kaede Only] ???
It takes an action to revert the transformation and return to your mortal body. If you do not have enough HP or EN to pay for the cost of the Shapeshift at the start of the cycle, your soul separates from your body and you die.

    Their attacks connected.
    The Monstrosity barely flinched.
    Hell broke loose.

"H-Hey?!" The Revenant ignored her. Literally, ignored her and instead dashed past the hero-girl. "Come back here!" She yelled after, rushing after just to stop mid-tracks as the earth started to rumble. Yes, this clearly wasn't your friendly afternoon goblin that needs to be taken care of. This was... serious. But of course, Seigi already knew that.

With two Onyx obelisks blocking the hero's way, the girl could only listen to the madness that unfolded at the other side. The repeat cracking of bones. Metal onto flesh. A barrier of ice shattering, over and over again.

    Horrendous.

And here she was, split off? It should have been her taking the beating. It should have been her being the target. That said..."I'm not going to die today! But I'm not going to live in hiding either..." Seigi reassured Wendel for a second before dashing forward once again. Why did she even hesitate in the first place? Still, such a long way to go.

If there was an obstacle in your way, just punch it.
    Including the Onyx Pillar.

A single strike was all that needed as the gigantic structure shattered into pieces, revealing the massacre on the other side. "KNOCK KNOCK!" Just for a second Seigi declared her presence with a confident smile.

"..." The looks in their eyes. Their bodies, mutilated. Seigi couldn't do much for their bodies... but their minds? There was no reason to smile at all.

She was supposed to be a Pillar of Light. "YO! I know you must be hurting all over, but stay strong and fight this crap! You're way too awesome to get beaten in by some silly grim bullshit!" Kinda tactless, but hey, her Aura was doing most of the work anyway... right?

_____Kaede, likely to be the next target of the group if they could beat the boss just simply stood up and began clapping her hands as her book floated beside her. It was simply a great show of power by the boss, a true seven out of ten performance in her book, had he been more focused on the male no doubt a ten. Sparks darting across Kaede’s eyes as it seemed she was not happy despite the smile and clapping. Waving her right hand as the pages of her book fluttered into the air.

_____At first they simply drifted around her before they vanished, pulling in on themselves as Kaede effectively deleted the future route where Blank’s jaw remained broken for long. It was likely not how things actually worked but Kaede simply figured that was enough for the time being and happily caught her book again. Turning to the girl as she shrugged her shoulders and looked at the boss before them. Her eyes still seemed to spark off with cosmic energy as Kaede slowly woke up from her half asleep state.

”Well if you all don’t want to get caught up in this… Think it’s time the children start to run away from the adults.~”

_____Despite Kaede’s words, and rather silly tone she chose to use it seemed she was done playing nurse after only one patient. Her hair rising slightly as she started walking further away from the goblin, the rocks rubble around her floating slightly as she passed them as she started pulling the energy together for what she planned to do next. A blank blinking moment as she turned back to most the group and stuck her tounge out, tapped her knuckles to her head and tipped it to the left as she spoke.

”Oh but I will need some cover, this form is rather… well painful to say the least by itself. If he gets to me I’m as good as dead.~”

_____With the last of her words spoken she began to skip across the area she still needed to cover, the farther away she got from the boss the better chances she felt she would have with dealing against him. Eyes scanning the best route to her location before she nodded and seemed focused on getting distance, hopefully the group would be fine without healing because, as the debris around Kaede drifted higher… she was going to be to far and to drained after she was finished with this.

img Wendel's eyes focused as she moved with her bow lowered, slowly walking across the ruined landscape. The monster was really strong. The earth itself was moving at the will of enemy. Wowzers...

These people weren't going to win were they? That was usually the case wasn't it? Good rarely if ever won out in this world. No, in any world probably. Only in fiction did a happy ending come from just running around and hoping someone would give you the way. Force was batter. Good COULD win if it was done with the right means and the right lack of restraint. That was what this guy was doing right? Forcing his will and the will of whatever the heck that egg thingy was?

"If only... we had the power to force... that's so much better. Where is your power coming from Skully?"

The dark pinkette looked to her phantom angels with a quiet and casual look as she came to stop. Raina broke a entire pillar of land with just her strength and will alone. That was just like her. Already getting stronger since her encounter with Trizzaldi. Megan was being brutally mutilated but... she would just return. It wasn't that important. Caring and pitying on every little thing was beyond what her cold blackened heart could do.

"....I don't think you can help me know who I am... hehehe... but I think you could help me grow. So keep at it... *giggle" keep doing the horrible things you do you filthy monster and empower me. Why I'm better than her, why I'm what is needed for everyone. Why I'm so much better for Raina-chan. ..Mmmm... this is... *giggle*... so good."

The thoughts of how that exact empowering was what was eating away at her body was blocked out by her single minded focus. Her eyes became wider as she raised her bow and with a super human leap into the air showered Gnädiger Regen over the entire area he was stomping Blank in. She didn't care who she hit in the process of her insanity driven shots flashing before her quivering glare. The war, the grief, the hopelessness that needed to be changed...needed to be ended.

The only way to end such terror was ruthless force. There could not be mercy without no mercy.

Gear watched as the stuff happened and things occurred as a result; the sorts of painful things that were bad and the opposite of the good results he had expected. Boo boos covered his body and were painful which was not fun, and then more boo boos happened with fire and sharp stuff and getting hit.

He frowned a frown on his face, and adjusted the settings on his thing he wore that made the loud noise go vroom, then swung a swing at the thing that caused the stuff to happen which was near him. It hit, or maybe it didn't, but he still swung a swing.

The beast jumped on her, interrupting her spell as it slammed its fists into the side of Blank's face eliciting a loud cracking sound as Blank felt her jaw painful separate. The blows did not stop with that as more and more rained down sending her teeth flying from her mouth as the area around her suddenly grew warmer. She wanted to scream in terror in-between the blows, but the void inside her pulled even stronger than before. Instead, she focused forward, calling out illegibly to @Kaede Hoshi.

This monster had seemingly been prepared just for her.

It had a spell ward to prevent her onslaught, performed no moves she could disrupt and jumped on her the first chance it got.

    It wanted her dead.

She could feel its desire to finish her off.

    It clearly remembered the ice.

She felt her jaw reattach, her teeth, slowly regrowing back in place.

As she lay there prone she stared up at the creature with a gaze that showed no fear and spoke in a calm and steady voice.

"Do you remember me? I remember you. You defeated my spell once. You won't again. I'll cast a freeze spell so deep, that even the fires of hell itself won't melt it. Zero Style, Point Blank Attack."

As she spoke a small magical circle appeared in her palm, with a sudden rush of movement she jerked it forward as a spear of ice suddenly formed, jabbing deeply into the monster's abdomen.

Bradwynne was surprised when he entered the area for the first time. It had seemed that the enemy was doing an easy time pummeling two of their group to the ground. Given that the six of them were chosen to deal with this menace among all others at the Rugome Fort, and all of them were of great capabilities, it should be quite an easy task for them. But, as he saw it, they would need to redouble their efforts to defeat this menace.

As the people who were stuck in facing that hideous monster needed healing, he would do it with the best of his capabilities. Moving nearer to that group, he then cast a spell to heal their injuries. The duo should last long so that the others would not be disparaged in the near future. Or at least one of the duo, since he had unfinished business with the other person in that duo. But since he saw that the healing power would overflow in healing the grizzled warrior beside her, he deemed it fit to allot some of that power to her. He would just heal her if the situation dictated him to do so, but for now, he thought that it was not yet necessary. He would just let the revenant deal pain to her as horridly as possible without getting her killed.

Love and Your Ego, Rest in Peace

He remembered. He remembered very well.

He was going to murder her.

The hero’s proclamation went unnoticed by the Revenant, his master’s interests not shared by himself, as he smashed and smashed and smashed the ice mage further into the ground, shrapnel disintegrating around them. A powdery mist rose, mixing with the scarlet shroud as @Das Ein Magia ’s rain of arrows peppered the sanguine veil, chipping away further and further at the Revenant’s armor. But it was still just rain. Droplets of rain against his skin, the refreshing pressure of a spring monsoon, dyed purple with the malice of a child.

If those arrows were the rain, then the axe was greased lightning, a man honed into a machine with a single minded purpose. The Blackened aura that swirled around the Revenant was no deterrent for that madman. No matter trickery, no matter tactics, the existence before the goblin always only had a singular path: mass destruction.

Heavy plates of steel caved in under the pressure, a flash of pain significant enough that the Revenant’s onslaught upon the ice mage was interrupted in time for her own spell to activate. A pillar of ice burst out, launching the Revenant away. The goblin somersaulted twice, before landing on his feet. His armor was breaking, but it mattered not. This will decide it.

The spear stuck in Gear’s chest vibrated, before flying out, landing back in the outstretched hand of the Revenant. A line. They had made a line.

    “Canferoz Drivater.”

She may have escaped him once, but that wouldn’t happen twice.

Like blue lightning, the Revenant struck with impossible force once more, the blood spear devouring @Blank 's innards as it spiralled through her chest, breaking out the other side. Another vicious twist sent the thorns within the spear spinning, scrambling her insides as the heat bloomed and bloomed and burst out!

Even as the golden aura of @Seigi 's Heroism shielded them from immolation, the force of the azure flames still bruised their body, the flash of heat searing flesh and singing hair. There was nothing but blue light for a moment.

And when that light dispersed, they could all see it. The charred, nigh-featureless body of Blank who had been at the forefront of that conflagration. With disdain, her body was tossed aside, bits and pieces breaking off as she rolled against the ashen landscape.

The Revenant readied its bloodspear once more, crimson brilliance congregating upon the barbed tip.

Turned its attention this time to the archer that had eluded him all this time.

And, as if reading his intentions, the Womb responded, two halves of a crystalline jaw bursting out of the ground to seal Seigi in a coffin. There will be no interlopers, no Aura to shield the Shadow Witch this time.
    .
    .
    .
But the light in her eyes had not yet dimmed.

    Zone 10 Shulgana's Revenant [644/???]
    Blood Shroud [40/40]

    Disruption [240/240]

<<Predatory>> The blessing granted to the Revenant after slaying a feral monster. Sharp eyes find cracks in armor, adventurers turning from predator to prey under his watch. The weakest link will be purged. The lamb will be slaughtered first.
    • Encased One target is locked in sanguine crystal. They cannot act this cycle unless they have an Awakened Mastery with the Shapeshift tag, or someone deals 85 damage to the structure. At the start of the next cycle, the Encased effect disappears.
    • ???
The Otherworldly Womb can not be targetted until Shulgana's Revenant is vanquished.
    Combat Notes:
Zone 15 remains <<Elevated>> due to the environmental influence of the Womb.

Zone 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 are aflame. If you end the cycle in these zones, you will be afflicted with the <<Burning>> status.

<<Blood Shroud>> has been re-activated. The first attack dealt upon Shulgana's Revenant will be reduced by 40 damage.

<<Blood Feast>> has activated. Shulgana's Revenant heals for 255 HP.

@Seigi is <<Encased>>. They cannot act this cycle unless they have an Awakened Mastery with the Shapeshift tag, or someone deals 85 damage to the structure. At the start of the next cycle, the Encased effect disappears.

@Gear @Blank are <<Blackened>>. During this cycle, they cannot perform any actions other than Attacking or Recklessly Attacking Shulgana's Revenant, and cannot move out of the Zone they are currently in. This is a Magical debuff.

@Gear @Blank receive 10 HP damage from <<Burning I>>. Gear receives 20 (10x2) HP damage and Black receives 10 HP damage from ending in Zone 10.

@Gear @Blank are <<Burning I>>. On the next cycle, they will receive 10 HP damage. This is a Magical debuff.

@Gear @Blank @Das Ein Magia @Kaede Hoshi are afflicted by <<Burning>>, but this effect is automatically cleansed due to <<Rouse>>.

@Seigi is afflicted by <<Burning>>, but the effect is automatically dispelled by Stalwart. Zero stacks remain.

@Blank receives 45 HP damage. Due to <<Lightless>>, this damage is dealt to her Max HP as well.

@Seigi receives 15 HP damage due to the terrain providing cover.

    @Blank @Kaede Hoshi receive 30 HP damage.

    @Das Ein Magia @Gear receive 60 (30x2) HP damage.

    @Das Ein Magia is <<Marked>>.

Zone 6 Scorched by blue flame, the corrupted vegetation here is naught but ashes now.

Zone 11, 16 Corrupted vegetation writhes aggressively, squirming in search for a heartbeat. Though individually weak, they deter all those that try to escape. When exiting this Zone, consume two movements instead of one. When attacking from this Zone, reduce the damage dealt by 20.

Zone 7, 8 Scorched by blue flame, naught remains of that beautiful flower field.

Zone 12 Against all odds, a field of resilient flowers has bloomed upon the battlescarred land, petals scattering with each attack performed in this Zone.

Call Storm [Blank Only] Quell the flames that devour the landscape by summoning forth a powerful storm. Make a DC of 120 with a d100 Hydromancy roll, excluding buffs. If successful, all <<Burning>> effects will be nullified, and the flames in Zone 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 will be quelled. Costs 20 EN.

Remove Blessing [Bradwynne Only] Call forth the holy light that dwells within you and scour the otherworldly blessings that empower this nightmarish creature. Make a DC of 100 with a d100 White Magic roll, excluding buffs. If successful, remove one of the Revenant's <<Blessings>> of your choice. If critically successful, remove three <<Blessings>> instead. Costs 20 EN.

Overclock [Gear Only] Rev up your engine further and dive into the madness of the machine. Repeat Damage Supplement as many times as you want, provided you have the EN to pay for it.

Gear watched as the more stuff happened and worse things came as a result. He looked at the machine which made the noise and let him hit the stuff with the thing, and he done the fiddle on its settings. Now it spun to won faster than before when it was slow, and he attacked the thing that was in the fire with him since he couldn't leave the fire which was burning him, knowing he was gonna get the hurts something bad soon.

Then he took a nap 'cause he was sleepy and it was beddy bye time for him for a couple bits, which was nice 'cause it let him forget how much fire he was on.

img A spear of terror! This was just like that anime, Roaring Gungnir Knights from Pluto! How did she even remember that now of all times? Wendy hated that show. Always choosing something else even when her brother teased her to watch it.

As the flames spread and the line of red tore through the flowery meadow of sorrow she stood in. Wendel took the blow just as she landed on the ground from her own attack. Her knee bent to the ground and her head looking downwards with bow in hand from the force of her descension . A wave of grief and pain washed over her and what looked like shards of darkness ripped from her clothes and skin. Her body wasn't exactly responding to this pain normally but not to say she didn't feel anything...

Looking back up as the blood from her eye flowed freely. Magia stood and desummoned her bow as it vanished in a black flame. Her phantom angels gathered around her and if their intangibles faces could be seen. They would show concern for their creator and repeatedly shift towards Raina with same look. as she met the skull gobs gaze from here. He noticed her did he? Well, she did tell him to continue. If she covered for Raina like a true hero, surely Raina would see that Wendel was better. This fiery darkness of rage... what a villain. Wowzers, here Wendel was fighting true evil herself.

She was the heroine after all.

"Your darkness. I despise. You kill...Gee whiz, for the sake of what? I have found purpose with my darkness. Darkness can protect. It can give people's dreams reality! It can make people happy and you just swing around a twig and think it will change the world to how you want it? Hehehehe... you aren't so cool beans, loser."

A ring of darkness appeared at her feet as her arms split apart and her angels began to circle around her. One after another they melted into the ground and a blanket of darkness swept like a tide in all directions. Being like these people was a limitation. Trying to be like Raina... and now even Brad. The person she advised. The advice of a dumb, dead girl. It was time to put what she was behind her and just do what she was really good at.

    Something eldritch stirred.

"Gobbledygook thing.... I will show you that I am different then these people. I am ideal...hehehehe... Clash with something like you! Clash with something that isn't human you big stupid....PUPPET ! Entrap my body like my heart! Let everyone's grief be my shield!""

The darkness rose and covered her like a shell as it swept across the field right through everything in it's path and waited.

"A shell like this from some little ole humans isn't something you'd expect is it? Everything isn't bright and merry on our side either. *Giggle* best break my egg before we break yours Mr.Rooster."

_____Kaede could not help but grumble to herself as the girl just seemed to have a knack for getting the life beaten out of her. Clicking her tongue as her cosmic energy broke away from her body and pages tore free from the book before vanishing to mend the wounds of the loli witch. This battle was so far just a one sided warm up for this boss because these people just seemed So intent on playing the long game.

_____Did the not forget the fight going on around them, the monsters that approached the area should they take to long to deal with this foe? Surely they hadn't been that dense or forgetful? Moving her hand as she caught her grimoire and pointed the book at the witch girl before speaking. Her tone harsh and clearly annoyed.

"I swear if I have to rip one more page from this book to heal you I will personally KILL you. I would also like to remind everyone we do not have the time to try and drag this out! That fight around us is slowing down, and I highly doubt our side is the one winning. If this foe alone is giving us such an issue those others that aid him are surely going to crush us the moment they arrive."

_____Kaede growled to further drive her point of how annoyed she was so far by this. Sure helping people was great and all but looking at the larger picture she doubted one extra hand would make a difference when they barely clung to life and clearly had a target on them. One thing was for sure though, Kaede had no plans to let this drag out much longer as she began refocusing her energy to get ready to unleash hell.

Blanks mind was blank. The pain, even on its lower setting, was simply too much for her to grasp. Little did the monster know that the rose that glowed on her wrist kept her mind intact despite the savage beating. In fact, with out it, even if she were to be fully healed, it would be doubtful that Blank would be capable of continuing the fight. The power that coursed through the rose seemed to relish this, easily warping and twisting her mind like a blank state. Eventually, Blank felt her limp body raise, before being impaled, and tossed to the side.

Was that a finger that fell off? Or was it a nose? She wasn't sure. Stuck in the dirt, she was unable to even to move. Further and further into the void, she fell until it consumed her entirely, leaving her in blackness. She felt and heard nothing for what felt like a lifetime before a loud thumping began to disturb her.

Opening her eyes for the first time in ages she saw, her body remained, at least mostly intact. She had to have been healed, by whom she did not know. A part of her thought it to be the work of the devil, because truly no person of good alignment would bring her back into this battle after what she had endured.

The void choked her drowning out the thought, so instead, she stood facing her executioner once more as he turned towards Magi. "Do you think killing me will save you? No. I already told you. You. Will. Freeze." The words worked like a spell, bring a cold breeze upon the monster, as the temperature around it began to drop significantly, small icicles forming on its skin as its flesh began to turn brittle, tearing at its extremities.

Bradwynne watched on as the revenant inflicted more pain on the mage that did a great crime in the city of Stokbon. He solemnly watched as a the fire singed her body; as the spear impaled her body, her innards scattering on the ground and being roasted on the parched ground; as her body was then thrown away like a ragdoll. She might be writhing in extreme pain right now, but in the eyes of Bradwynne, at least he was still alive, unlike those people that she killed. But still he was satisfied with her fate, as suffering in extreme agony should be better than death itself. And so he should prepare to heal her just enough to keep her alive while still being tormented by this monster before her.

But since he saw another person heal the mage before him. he did not saw it fit to heal her right now. For now he focused on the revenant before him. By its immense power, surely it had a weakness... or maybe something else was powering his form. Maybe he should try something to remove some of the power of this creature. But, as of yet he did not know of any angel that could help him do just that. Hopefully the angel which he would invoke would help him ascertain what was driving the revenant, and what should be done in order to divest the revenant of its power. He then started to chant Hebrew words, to invoke the angel that could help him. As he finished chanting, he shouted out, "Raziel!" He then looked at his target, and then, what seemed to be empty scrolls of light projected from his right temple and touched the revenant. As the scroll touched the revenant, the scrolls then became filled with the Hebrew script as it was then entered his left temple. That scene continued until the scroll was terminated in the right temple, and then the termination entered the left temple. As the termination ended, Bradwynne then knew what angel to invoke, what incantation to chant, and what powers of the revenant to be divested. He then chanted the Hebrew incantation that he had never chanted before, and uttered the name of the angel that he had never said before. "Zaphkiel!" A pillar of light then plummeted towards the revenant, and from the looks of it, was divesting the revenant of the divine yet malicious power that was residing in it. Hopefully a huge chunk of power would be removed from the powerful foe, so that they could easily deal with it later.

Love and Your Ego, Rest in Peace

What sort of karma was this, that the dead continued to rise to attack him?

What sort of madness was this, that the man was still not dead, after receiving so much abuse?

That the child was still not dead, after being skewered and roasted and charred and beaten into a bloody pulp, restored only by a magic that he could not fully comprehend?

    Madness, madness, madness.

Just like himself, under endless duress as a thousand spines bit into his body, searing into his flesh, metamorphosing his body as she amused herself with his tenacity. He had beaten back those adventurers before, countless times. And each time, they only came back stronger, an endless grind against his finite lifespan. So many times, his brethren bandaged up his wounds. So many times, he fought with broken limbs for the sanctity of his queen. So many times, he poured out his blood for the only Goddess that would offer power to the downtrodden.

    So many times.

He reminded himself once more, why he was there.

A titanic blow dug deep into his shoulder, gears and cogs fuming with human hatred.

Reminded himself why he still fought.

Black frost formed over his plates, freezing patches of flesh that contacted it.

Reminded himself what it meant to be a Champion.

    His armor finally broke, shattering.

But the skull shaped helmet persisted.

The honorable mark of another lifetime. The anchor that kept him strong, even as angelic light robbed him of the Deitic Might that he would have sundered them all with.

    “wHerE…”

A green hand reached out, bursting from brittle plates to throttle the ice mage.

    “…iS It!”

In one moment, Blank was standing upon burning fields, littered with shrapnel. And in the next, her fragile body smashed into Bradwynne’s, both of them tumbling down. Before Kaede could warn either of them of the impending doom, a crystallized cage burst out of the ground beneath her, sealing the astral mage in, the Otherworldly Womb writhing and pulsating stronger than before.

It was all that Bradwynne could do to get back onto his feet before the haunting visage of the reaper appeared in front of him once more. There was no spear in the Revenant’s hands. Only the stubby claws of a goblin who was more scar tissue than flesh, whose veins burned with furious light! Drawing back the palm, the Revenant rammed his fist into Bradwynne’s chest, crystals exploding from the gaping wound as the Gullotine Priest was lifted up, a living, Blackened shield.

A bloody shroud wrapped around the Revenant, thicker than ever, as magma veins coursed over his bare body.

The embodiment of wrath, the embodiment of rage. His Goddess no longer whispered in his ears, but it mattered not.

Because before he was a Revenant, he was a Champion.

    “gIve Me yoUR hEarTs!”

The deafening roar resounded throughout the battlefield, as the Sunset Sage broke free of her own prison, arms of void fully exposed.
