Cherish giggled a little bit as she watched Celestine's reaction to her ear scratching, how she just stopped in her tracks and pushed her head into cherish's hand slightly; like what a real cat would do. "Yes, I'm sure. I wanted to do some combat, so I'll do some combat." Ignoring the ear wiggle of her companion as she removed her hand from the girl's head, Cherish puts forth a question that she had been wondering since they first me. "So Cell, why do you talk like that? There seem to be a lot of inconsistencies in the way that you speak and I was wondering if it's some sort of speaking disorder or something." Back at the top of the hill as the two looked down upon the slimes, Cherish tried to come up with some sort of plan of attack. There wasn't really much planning needed, but she figured she would run down there and start hacking at them. They're just slimes, right? How hard can jelly be to chop up? As quickly and as silently as she could, Cherish ran down the hill towards the blobs that rolled and bounced around passively. They wouldn't stay passive for long once the fighting began, though. Reaching the bottom of the hill, it appeared to Cherish that she had succeeded in sneaking up on them. Deciding that now was the best time to strike - before they noticed her - Cherish lept forward toward the nearest Slime. It appeared that she was further away from the slime than she had thought, and the slime had rolled a bit to her left before she got to it. Still managing to hit it while it was unaware of her, her axe collides with the small slime slightly off center, digging into the soft jello-like material and managing to chop off a piece about a third of the size o the slime. The slime didn't appear to be dead, for it jumped away from Cherish almost immediately after she hit it, before it and the other slimes turned to face her. Now that she was closer to the slimes and could see them better, it appeared that they came in different colors. Three of the slimes - including the one she had just attacked was some sort of green color and the one other slime appeared to be yellow. I wonder if that makes any difference...
Cell tilted her head as Cherished asked her about her speech habits. Was she being inconsistent? Really? She thought she was doing a pretty good job keeping things reasonably same-y same. “You are meaning my accent,” she confirmed with a sweet hum? She let it hang for a moment before she answered. When she finally did, the accent was gone almost entirely, only leaving a faint hint of the butchered English that’d been there before. “I dunno. It makes me more interesting, I guess?” She shrugged as if it was just a perfectly normal thing to say. “You really can’t deny that, right? After all, you did ask, which proves it’s working.” She gave Cherish a wink and a smug grin. She was acting pretty much the same, outside of suddenly having lost the accent, so it wasn’t like Cherish had broken through a social mask or anything. “Anyways,” Celly continued, the accent returning as fast it had vanished, “Do not be doing a mention of this to the other peoples. It is the secret.” Why had she even mentioned it to Cherish anyways? That was actually kind of unusual. Perhaps the ear scratches had softened her up a bit. Or maybe sharing the fluffy triangle ears was a nice bonding experience. Either way, no taking it back now. “Oh! Oh!” She excitedly called down the hill to Cherish as the cat girl began to carve away at the slimes. “Do the yellow one a hit! It is of more danger than the others!” Technically she wasn’t lying, but she very much wanted to see her take it on with a melee weapon. The yellow slimes - of all of them - were one of the most dangerous, close up. A little crispy zap wouldn’t hurt… well it would, but not that much. She’d survive, at least. That was the important bit. And if it was the slime, Celly technically couldn't be blamed for it.
Cherish was quite taken aback when she heard celestine speak normally pretty much instantly, correct grammar and everything. This certainly intrigued her as she listened to the girl explained. "I suppose it does make you more interesting. You certainly can't say that you're ordinary." Cherish giggles, and puts her index finger to her lips "Your secret is safe with me." It seemed like it was gone as soon as it was there, and for a second Cherish wanted it back. But she realized that this was who Cell was, and she should be able to express herself as she wanted. Cherish stood facing the cluster of slimes, wondering which to go for first. there was the option of the green one that was almost dead, the two full health green slimes, or the full health yellow slime. From behind her though, Cherish could hear celestine shouting something. it seemed like she wanted for Cherish to attack the yellow slime. It certainly did look dangerous, and she could make out tiny glowing arcs of electricity that popped up across the exterior of the small slime. "OK, that sounds like a good idea!" Fortunately, the slimes hadn't decided to do anything yet, and Cherish was able to run over to the yellow slime. Raising her axe into the air, Cherish swings it down towards the gooey mass in front of her. It seemed like the slime didn't like this outright aggression it was feeling from Cherish, and decided it wanted to do something about it. Right before Cherish's strike on the little blob, said blob released a burst of electricity at Cherish's metal axe passing through her and causing the hair on her body to stick up. It was too late for the yellow slime's attack to save it though, and Cherish chopped the little nuisance in two. The attack from the slime was unexpected though, and as it passed through her, cherish dropped her weapon to the ground. Cherish stood there in front of the electric slime's corpse, the hair on her ears and head frazzled. Cherish's tail had also been made to floof outwards, and now looked very fluffy from being multiple times its normal size. A smile spread across her face before she spoke up, "That. was. AWESOME!" she said giddily, turning around to see if Celestine had seen that. "Did that look cool? I bet it looked cool!" unable to control her excitement for a few seconds, cherish jumps around. Regaining her composure, Cherish now turns back to the remaining group of green slimes.
Cel chuckled from her safe little spot on the hill, as Cherish actually accepted her suggestion. “Hehehe. She is going to be in for the shocking revelation,” she whispered to herself, rubbing her hands together in a mildly disturbing way. The show was even better than she expected. It was just like those cartoons, where the victim buzzed around - sparking several times - and released a faint little smoke. Even more hilarious was the aftermath. Her hair was a bit frazzled, but even more hilarious was her tail. It was all floofy! Celestine clamped her mouth shut, trying to keep from laughing until Cherish called out back to her… in excitement? “Watt?” What good was a prank if the person reacted so... cheerfully? Celly ran down the hill, trying hard not to topple over her head, and landed at the base of it. With a quick chant and a sweep of her hand, a blade of wind sliced the other slimes clean in half, causing them to melt away into nothingness. Or… more accurately, melt away into lifeless piles of green slime on the already green grass. “How are you feeling, currently? You are looking very ‘amped’ for the fights,” she commented, snickering at her own awful puns. Feeling a bit more sadistic with them, she continued on, “I am of sureness that you are ex-static for the thrills of the battling, but I am glad you did a survive. You are very ohm-portant to me after all.” Cell returned Cherish a dorky smile. “Wire you doing me a look like that? I thought I was doing a clever!”
Whatever smile there might have been on Cherish's face quickly dissipated as the slimes before her were cut down with the power of Aeromancy. She stood there for a second before turning to the giggling Felis behind her. If eyes could burn holes through people's body's, that's what would be happening with Cherish's own silver eyes. She couldn't stand this girl right now, at every instance, Celestine had seemed to want to make a fool of her. Intentionally misinterpreting her words on multiple occasions, leaving her to face giant creatures, along with attempting to bring Cherish down. And now here she was, stealing all the kills cherish was just about to make, it just made her so angry. The cat girl makes her jokes and puns to try and get Cherish to believe this is all one big laugh she should be part of, but she won't fall for it this time. A sudden and stinging pain would appear on Celestine's face, interrupting the rest of the girl's god-awful puns. It would appear that Cherish walked up to the girl and - with the back of her hand - had slapped her right across the face. The taller girl's eyes seemed to burn with a rage as she looked upon Cell, before it vanished and Cherish turned away from her. "This isn't funny anymore, Celestine," she said, attempting to put any distance she could between her and the other felis.
“OOOOWWWWW! Cheeeeriiiiiish!” Celestine whined out loud like a little child who’d just taken away their favorite little toy. Rubbing her cheek against the painful ringing in her ears, she watched as the other cat girl wandered off with haste, not all that worried about losing her. After all, air magic was hard to outrun, but should she really follow her? Yeah, of course she should! This wasn’t her fault! “Cherish! Do a wait up!” Celestine whipped up a nice gust of wind and shot forward in a rush, easily making up the distance between the two. “You can not be doing a kill of all of the beasties for yourself. I am wanting some of them too, you know!” She placed her hands on her hips with a bit of sass, as she wandered alongside her. “Do a thinking about it! Maybe if it was not me that was doing you a guide, you could have done a wander into the cave of giant beastie!” Celly held up her hand and made a walking motion her her fingers, promptly ‘chomping’ the finger person with her other hand. She continued. “Or maybe you would have done a wander in the other direction and done yourself a starve instead of the finding of that town over there.” Celestine pointed off to the town, which had begun to light up with lanterns and such as the sun began to fall below the horizon. Truthfully, that was a horrible argument. She sucked at directions and she knew it. Chances are she’d have met that fate instead of Cherish… “So you see: I have been doing you a help the whole time! Is that not worth a trade of a few of the slimes?” She looked up at Cherish, pleading for forgiveness, almost like a puppy begging for a scrap of food. Her ears intentionally pressed down on her head to give her more of a ‘sorry’ look.
Cherish could feel the wind from Celestine's spell as she rocketed towards her, catching up to her steady pace away from the girl. Cherish listened to Cell in silence as spoke, her head looking straight ahead of her. The girl's arguments were total trash, and Cherish figured Celestine probably knew that too. 'maybe you would have done a wander in the other direction' pssh, like that would actually matter. Cherish stayed silent until Celestine had finished stating her 'arguments' as to why she had actually been helpful. "Ok, first off," Cherish holds up her index finger to represent a one, "Weren't we originally trying to find monsters for me to fight? How can I learn if you kill most of them?" She extends a second finger as she continues, "Secondly, I have enough sense to not enter giant sea caves right after I spawn, so there wouldn't be a fear of that." A third finger is extended as she finishes her rebuttals, "Third and final, It doesn't matter if went off in a different direction, It's very likely that I would find some sort of civilization before I starved." Cherish continued walking - whether Celestine was following her or not - and began to very slowly angle her direction of travel towards the town they had seen before. She figured now was a good enough time as any to head to civilization.
Celestine stood in place as the other catgirl devoured each of her arguments, one by one. She didn't even leave any room for the imagination! Just 'nyeh' then 'bleh' then.... grr. After she'd been thoroughly shredded with counter-arguments, Cel finally just let Cherish go off... for about 5 seconds. Sprinting forward, Celestine wrapped her arms around Cherish in a full strangle-hug and began to whine like a puppy that had been denied its favorite treat. "Cheeeeriiiiiiish~! Don't do me the pushing awaaaay!" Cel squeezed tighter, pressing her cheek against Cherish's back in a totally pathetic manner that, once again, resembled a dejected pet. "We were having the fun times, yes? You were doing the new person, and I was doing the 'less new' person doing the new person the guide! I never got to do the new person a guide before. It was great excitement for me, and it is still the great excitement!" After an uncomfortably long time, Celestine finally let go. "You are my first new person I did a guide of! I can not let my first guided new person do the going off of loneliness. You could have the wild bear do you an eat or something! We can not allow that to happen! Cherish is probably not tasting very good either. Not that I am planning to do Cherish an eating. I am not bear, I am cat." Regardless of any protests, Celestine traveled alongside Cherish, as if she'd taken it upon herself to be the newbie's protector and guardian.
Not expecting for the other girl to launch herself at Cherish, she loses balance for a few moments and nearly topples over into a pile of Felis. “Celestiiiine!! Get off of meeee!!” Cherish lets out as she begins to regain her balance. Still with the smaller girl’s arms wrapped around her chest, Cherish tries to wriggle free of Celestine’s grip. “Ugh! W-well, you may have had fun, but it wasn't as - Ugh - fun for me! Just because I’m new doesn't mean I need a guide, I’m willing to bet plenty of people log on for their first time without having some sort of person to guide them! Now, please, would you let go of me?!” Whether or not Celestine was going to let go eventually, Cherish decides to try and expedite the process by tickling Cell’s armpits. Now, she didn't know if Cell was ticklish, but by her reaction to Cherish petting her earlier, she figured it was worth a shot. Now that Celestine had been removed had been removed some way or another from her grip on Cherish, she had a little bit of time to compose herself. Smoothing out most of the ruffles in her jacket that had been caused by Cell, Cherish keeps an eye on her just in case she launches herself again. “I’m sure I could handle myself out there, Cell. And even if I went against a bear, I think we know who would win!” Cherish strikes a pose then, a wink on her face as she extends her arm; her hand making a thumbs up. As Cherish continue on her trajectory towards the town in the distance, she glances behind her at the figure that continued to stay with her. Sighing, Cherish, slows down her pace until she was walking next to and slightly behind her. As Cherish begins to speak again, she starts messing with Celestine’s ears, “You know what, Cell? I like how we’re both full of energy, just about ready to bounce off the walls. And you know, I’m not actually all that mad at you, it’s just that -” At this point, while Cherish is talking, she lays her head - with a *plop* - upon Cell’s own. “- I didn't like you just eliminating all those slimes while I was fighting them. It’s not really fair, and I guess I just got a bit overwhelmed.” As she speaks, Cherish continues to mess around with Cell’s ears, poking, petting and stroking them absentmindedly.
The two wandered along through the sunset plains, Cell patiently remaining by Cherish's side to listen to her complaints. At least, as long as occasionally thwumping Cherish's back with her tail counted as being patient. "Mmph." Celestine stared ahead, unamused, as Cherish laid her head on her own. Honestly... she was practically average height. Why did all these derpy tall-to-slightly-above-average people keep doing this kind of thing? Before Cell could properly shove her off though, she felt that fun sensation in her fictional ears again. ...maybe she'd let her lean on her head just this once. She looked kinda sleepy anyway: maybe Cherish just couldn't help it. "Slimes are not the most rare of the beasties anyway. If you do a few of them the kill, a few more of them do the show up in like a few minutes." She shrugged, just to clarify that losing a few of them really was no big deal. "It is kind of like doing the find of the ground krone. You do not do it much of the thinks, and you are thinking that no one will be minding if you do it the grab. So you do not do the think, and just do it the take." Cel reached up and gave Cherish's ear a friendly press. "Sorry I did the taking of your krone though. You will someday find many more of the muns and do yourself the richness in beastie killings." Celly paused on top of a hill, overlooking the town below, which was lit by a beautiful golden sunset glow. She gave Cherish's head a little finger flick to get her off. "I will have to be doing you the leave here," Cel explained. "I need to be getting to the most grindy, difficult, painful dungeon ever to do the existence....." she gave it a dramatic pause, "....school. Have the funs, Cherish." With a few finger gestures to her menu, Cel gave Cherish one last pet on the ear and winked out of existence.
Cherish continued her occupation of the top of Cell's head, marveling at the softness of the virtual hair. Celestine seemed to have continued talking, something about ground fowl or something, but Cherish (or rather Sabrina) was more focused on the world around them. The gentle feel of the wind as it swept across the plains; The soft glow from the houses around them as the townspeople lit their lamps and candle before they slept; even though she knew it was fake, it all seemed so real. Cherish's thoughts were brought back to the felis in front of her. Celestine had flicked her to get off, and she obliged. The smaller girl said her goodbyes, before starting to log off. "It was really nice to meet you Cell, I hope we come across each other again soon!" Cherish wraps her arms around Celestine in a hug. Celestine vanishes, leaving nothing but thin air behind, and Cherish drops her arms to her sides. opening and closing her hand, she taps the option to log off from the palm menu... Logging Off... As the virtual body of Cherish faded out of existence within the world of Terrasphere, Sabrina was brought back to the real world. Reaching up to her behind her head, she disengages the clasp and removes the headset, placing it down beside her on the bed. Her bedroom looked almost exactly like how she had left it a few hours ago. The only addition had been a small grey ball of fluff curled up next to her hip and started purring. A small smile appears on Sabrina's face as she scratches the cat's chin, eliciting a slightly louder purr from it. "That's right Cherish, you met a new friend today." Thread Completed
