The end was in sight. That was the only thing keeping Lycia involved in clearing this dungeon. She was tired, and her mana reserves were starting to blink red in her peripheral vision. Sure, this might have been a beginner dungeon and therefore a lot less hectic than the world boss she had been dropped into, but much more stressful. Every single member of their team had to work together as well as pull their own weight. When they were beating on that huge one-eyed beast thing, people just…did it.

She exhaled a breath through her tiny nostrils and concentrated. The sounds of battle erupted around her, but she focused instead on the magic that coalesced in her dominant hand. Pinging the finger cymbals together, the magic surged through her and around her, splitting off to wrap around Sean and Milah and tend to their wounds. Perhaps she should have buffed them instead, but the moment that thought escaped across her brain, her sister and the red-haired Felis downed one of the goblins that stood in their way.

One more and this dungeon was over!

We just gotta kill the last one and make a run for it! I can still see the mana crystal up ahead!

Did their guide just abandon them? Really? Who in the world programmed this particular AI? Someone sure as hell loved to troll around with new players. "Ohai. Granted most tutorials were mind-numbing and dull with lectures that went on for hours yet there was no arguing there effec-

Ah, who was she kidding? She always skipped through that BS. Maybe this was the correct way to execute a tutorial in order to keep them engaged. At the very least, Terrasphere got points for being innovative.. Or she'd reward them after everyone safely made it to the finish end. (They still really could have explained how to deal with poison and what not. It was a good thing they already knew much tougher experience thanks to a certain many eyed freak.)

Sean felt some energy return to him. One of his companions healed him, the one with the cymbals. He turned to the person who healed him with a smile. "Thank you for the heals! Now we have to run ahead, let's go!" His face formed into a smirk. One upside to having been at Rugome Fort, I know how to deal with goblins!

Sean took out his sword, for he had sheathed it to focus on the poison, and ran around the person with the bow. As he passed, he shot her a thumbs up. "We can do this!" He ran to the side of the goblin, focused on his third teammate. "Fore!" He stepped to the side and swung his sword at the goblin's hip, cutting off one of its legs and killing it. "You okay?"

She watched the other Felis forge ahead, dodging the elder woman before dealing the final blow to the goblin and clearing the path for the gem that the now missing AI had been constantly ushering them towards. It looked like they were almost done… though Trinity’s advise had proved to be quite faulty regarding the remaining monsters.

If you run away from them they’ll leave you alone, nyah nah nyah… Hmph.

The words were spoken in a mocking tone, showing her disdain for their now missing guide. That had definitely not been the case considering the bats continued their pursuit, now ganging up on Lycia.

You two go on ahead and touch that dumb crystal so we can get out of here! I’ll help Lycia out here! The words were spoken loud enough for the Felis boy and the woman to hear, Milah’s frame turning back to her sister no sooner her sentence finished as she readied another arrow. Sister, duck down!

Milah gave the blonde Felis just enough time to react before the nocked arrow could sail free, finding its real target in the solid body of the bat as the momentum carried the beast away from her sister and impaled it on the stone wall behind. Thankfully here aim had remained true through this tunnel, never taking her eyes away from Lycia even as Milah moved to a more advantageous position for the final bat… ready to assister her twin should she need help with the last beast.

The goblins counterattack sent the woman reeling. White hair frayed this way and that as she struggled to regain her senses. Dang. That was one nasty strike. If this was a cartoon stars would be floating around her head. Luckily, Sean came to the discombobulated woman’s aide.

It felt like a three ring circus. Just as she recovered bats attacked her fellow teammates from behind. Shangri La spun in her heels, silently cursing to herself. She nodded along to Milah’s muttering — what happened to dropping aggro? Apparently bats were vicious little demons.

The felis girls.. Wait, felis sisters? That explained so much! Either way, they urged someone to make a mad dash for the crystal. Once someone touched it the dungeon would be over.. if they could trust that intel. Shangri La was hesitant to leave the young ones behind but if there was a way to end this before it got worse.

As light as air, Shangri La rushed toward the mana crystal, wind working for her and not resisting her.

You’re welcome! came Lycia’s chipper response toward the red-hair Felis. She was remiss that they hadn’t exchanged names and they would probably end this dungeon without her ever thinking of him other than ‘kid who screams a lot and has red hair.’ Maybe she would look him up when they got out of this dungeon and see if he wanted to go on any other adventures together. Maybe she could teach him to calm the hell down and not speak so loud too…

Her thoughts were interrupted by her sister’s voice. Wide purple eyes looked from her sister’s knocked arrow to the bat behind her before she ducked and felt the ‘whoosh!’ of air pass over her. She heard the squeak of the arrow impaling the bat and the ‘thunk!’ of it hitting the cavern floor. Not before it and the other bat had attacked Lycia, however, and she had fresh scratches on her face to prove it. Damn cave dwellers!

Nice shot, sis! Lycia cheered, even as the world spun a little faster and she wobbled a bit on her feet. There was one enemy left that posed a threat to them and Lycia turned, aimed for the damn bat, and let another spark of lightning tackle it to the ground, a smirk lining her kitten features. Turning to her sister, she gave a thumb up with her free hand before grabbing Milah and making a dash to follow the others. The mana crystal would be within reach soon enough!

Looking around the immediate area, Lycia could breathe a sigh of relief. She didn’t realize how stressful a situation she had put herself and her twin in even though this was only beginner level content. Now, there didn’t seem to be any monsters around so they could move freely and the quicker they got to the mana crystal, the better. Lycia idyll wondered if when she touched it, would it send them all to the end of the dungeon like some of those games did on her console back at her home.

The Felis Kitten rushed forward, a large smile stretching her mouth, a giggle passing from her as she flew in front of her sister. She was tired, yes, and she was pushing herself to her limits, but the quicker they got the crystal, the better she would feel. Well, the entire party would feel good.

I’m gonna touch the crystal! So, @Shangri La if you want to continue on to where Trinity is waiting, you totally should!

Of all the... as the AI's voice boomed across their UI again the brunette Felis couldn't help but roll her eyes. Still the main threat had been taken care of, with only a lone slime struggling to keep up with the twins, and just in time too considering Milah was feeling absolutely exhausted.

C'mon Lycia, let's get away from that thing.

Milah waited for confirmation of her twin before they both began moving in the direction of the crystal with the rest of the team party members, stopping only when her body could tolerate it no longer to catch her breath. For a tutorial dungeon she felt the exhaustion more heavily here than in the world boss event.

Hopefully once the other girl touched the crystal this dungeon would be over at last and they could go rest...

The coast is clear. The crystal is in sight, ready to heal all of the team's worries. Yet there's a pathway to the right of the crystal. What could be in there? Enemies? Most likely enemies.

Sean looked behind him to see the two sisters, one running past him. "Let's get going!" He dashed to the crystal. I've been through a lot, please heal me! He stumbled slightly as he finished the dash to the crystal and put his hand to it. Immediately, he began to feel his strength return to him, re-energizing. So the crystal does heal you... "Okay, I'm ready to go!" He looked into the hallway, preparing himself for the final part of the dungeon.

Healed by Crystal on the way to Trinity

It was over… it was finally over. As the AI had reappeared and ushered them on Milah couldn’t help but roll her eyes, forcing her body to continue moving and keeping pace with her sister. Currently not in the best of moods due to the exhaustion and the ache plaguing her muscles the teen remained quiet as she listened to Trinity. As they passed by the crystal her finger tips gently brushed the surface… and the wave of magical energy that rushed through her body and healed her wounds made the brunette gasp audibly in surprise.

Sure, with her twin often buffing and healing her, it wasn’t like it was an entirely foreign experience—but this… well the power on this crystal was certainly at a whole different level from Lycia, that was for sure.

They should’ve just brought one of these along in that Titanius fight… would’ve made everything a hell of a lot easier I bet.

Milah’s attention turned back to Trinity as the group gathered with the AI, not at all impressed with the whole “legendary newbies” part, though her brows furrowed in confusion as she heard the girl speak about a mother of sorts.

It was promptly forgotten though as Trinity made four objects appear before them, their rewards for a job well done it seemed, and encouraged each to pick one among themselves. Amber colored eyes focused on a familiar stone, her hands reaching out for the Bounce Rock X and inspecting it momentarily, before pocketing it for keeps.

Sean had endured quite a bit, but he'd managed to stay alive for a dungeon. "Finally! I didn't die in an event!" He smiled in childlike glee as he twirled around. I'm finally able to enjoy the win! He practically skipped to where Trinity was standing and listened to her little speech. "Wait, loot...?" He looked around, tilting his head up so he could see the roof of the cave.

As if on cue, something appeared on Sean's face. It completely blocked his vision, and felt oddly cuddly. Ignoring the second attribute, Sean began to panic, believing it to be an enemy. "AGH, GET IT OFF!" He ran right into a wall, falling backwards onto his bottom.

Sean shook his head. Ow... Anyways, what latched onto my face...? As he looked down, he saw a small plush doll of the guide. "Oh... my... God... It's so adorable..." He squeezed it close to his chest. "It's mine! It's too adorable for me to give it to any of you!" He started to back off with the Trinity Doll Mini. "Okay, maybe I shouldn't be too greedy. Anybody wanna feel it? I'm Sean, by the way." He held out his new plush for the others to feel and hug it. Sharing is caring, and Sean finally had something peaceful to call his own. I don't care if I got rushed and poisoned, I got a plush toy, I'm fine with this.
