Personality
Mason is what some would call “chill incarnate”. While others would worry about the basic necessities of life, Mason is wondering when his pizza will arrive. Money? He’s got enough for rent. Food? Once in a while if he feels like it. Imminent danger and death? Maybe he’ll get up and try to run away if he has the motivation for it. His relaxed disposition often runs into the level of absurdity at times causing him to anger those close to him often because they know of how driven he can be.
That isn’t to say he is a complete sloth though. When he does find someone that he enjoys being around he can be quite motivated, you just won’t see it on his face. This is especially true for those he might consider friends since he will often help without asking no matter how little he has to gain from it. Though if you really want to reward him for his efforts he’s willing to do everything and more for a bit of sweets.
On the rare occasion that something does grind his gears however, expect to see a complete 180. What he lacks in the self-worth to do anything productive he makes up for in how much he values others or, to be more precise, helping others. To him everyone is equal and deserving of help regardless of where you came from or what you look like. Overall, he’s quite the lazy bag of bones but he can be pleasant in the presence of company.

Biography
Born within a high class household Mason has experienced quite the privileged childhood. He received what he wanted, when he wanted it. What else could a person ask for right? Over time he grew into quite the brat and later transformed into quite the bully by the time high school came around. He was infamous around his school for waving his money around and using it to hurt others through his network of lackeys. The classic school bully you’d find in a 2-star movie that seemed to do everything for the heck of it.
At senior year however, something changed within him. At first he was doing his usual shenanigans until he came across a new student. He didn’t know his name and quite frankly he didn’t care at the time. When that same person confronted him and told Mason to stop his shenanigans he laughed in the newbies face and increased his harassment tenfold. It wasn’t until one of his rats told him that the student had attempted suicide that he began to feel the weight of his actions. Soon after he began to receive threats, people hung out with him less, and he essentially became an outcast in his own territory.
In order to alleviate his consciousness he tried to apologize for his actions to the new kid but it turns out that they didn’t want anything to do with him. Guilt seemed to follow him wherever he went and after a while he simply stopped caring about it all. He came to school less and less and eventually he became a full on NEET. He booked an apartment shortly after graduation and refused to speak to anyone he might have once knew, now living off of the money he had been left with. He was a shadow of who he once was, filled with self-hate and a want to help anything other than himself without knowing how to. He just wanted to do something to atone for what he did.
It wasn’t until he received a strange letter at his doorstep that he began to get out of his rut. Inside was a single flash drive and the words, “PLAY ME”. Before he went off the deep end he had learned about an underground MMO that was circling around. Before he would’ve dismissed it as another petty rumor but now he was desperate. It wasn’t much but, if he could help someone through something as simple as a game then maybe he could find a small speck of peace.
