DM Spice: Lots of Spinach
It took a while, but the dynamic duo reached the farm unmolested. It seemed as if the nightmarishly overpowered gobling mounted archers that usually bothered newbies in Brisshal had gone on vacation recently, and soon, Ivan and Mugen found themselves standing before the acclaimed spinach farm, rows upon rows of leafy greens decorating the perfectly tilled landscape. The sharp, appetizing stench of manure could be smelled even at a distance, and Snowy the Snow Quilled Guardian (or, at least, a Chinese knock off version that was never truly approved off by the DM that made him) bristled in mild disgust at the offending odor. It was a different sort of stink than his master, after all, who only shat in his pants occasionally, and never in amounts as large as this.
Still, spinach was good. Spinach was very good. But there were no humans around for them to purchase spinach from. Was this good? This could be good. After all, if there was no one to see their crimes of stealing spinach, was it truly a crime? As they approached the fields of spinach, however, they noticed something strange, something odd, something unexpected. At a distance, it had looked like a scarecrow that had toppled over, but upon closer inspection, that scarecrow...was filled with spinach rather than straw or hay?
And, further off, there were mounds of crow feathers sticking out of small balls of spinach?
It was certainly a mystery...BUT THEN AGAIN.
IT'S JUST SPINACH GUYS.
THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AT ALL.
THEY COULD JUST BUY UNNATURALLY PRESERVED SPINACH LADEN WITH HORMONES AND PESTICIDES AND FORMALDEHYDE AT THE NEIGHBORING TOWN, RATHER THAN AT THIS HIGH QUALITY ORGANIC SPINACH FARM.
YUP. DEFINITELY DON'T HAVE TO THINK TOO HARD ABOUT THIS WEIRDNESS AT ALL.
And thus, it begins. @Iván Carl @Mugen on your next respective posts, roll a d100 using this dice code.
The individual who rolls lower will begin to feel a little green on the post following that. And from there, you can take the wheel of this bizzare adventure.
