Personality
There's hardly a better farmboy than Ataro. Tranquil, affable, and dutiful, this farmer of Tuscany is no virgin to hard work. Often quiet and soft-spoken, and rather unambitious, his personal life is spent horse riding across the vineyards or slaving away in the fields alongside his father and uncle. Ataro is no well spoken or highly educated savant, though he tells himself he makes up for all of that in spades with humility and duty - one to both his family and himself.
In the Sphere, Ataro has more or less become the very character that he plays. Marius Azzenci is a stalwart defender of everything he deems dear to him, be it a friend or a wounded animal that needs rescue. Quick to smile, keen senses, and a willingness to put his neck on the line for another have earned him quite a bit of respect and trust with those he meets. Though his trusting nature could prove to be far more of a weakness than not...
Positive: Disciplined, conscientious, intuitive.
Negative: Envious, wishful, over-burdensome, trusting.
Biography
Even as the world seemed to spin faster and faster, spawning generations of technologically-savvy inhabitants that would riddle the world with their creations, some pockets of the older livelihoods still existed around the world. Tuscany, Italy was one such, famed for its astoundingly gorgeous landscape and propensity for producing some of the world's finest wines and winemakers. Ataro was destined to be the latter, bearing the name of a reputable family with sizable wealth to its name.
Though comfortable and lively, the Ciano's status did not save young Ataro from the days spent out in the vineyards performing manual labor that modern kids cringed at. It was a strange cycle of youth that he experienced, with even fellow classmates and friends alike teasing and picking about his seemingly exotic lifestyle in the midst of a burgeoning, technocratic civilization. Filled with envy and contempt, Ataro demanded to know why he had been forbidden to indulge in these modern marvels.
The explanation his parents offered wasn't one he was expecting: to turn him into a good man. Years spent under the sun working and studying in school had taught him to yearn for little, to be frugal and conservative, and to appreciate the living world around him. Humanity was slowly losing its way to flickering screens, becoming soft at their precipices of power and comfort, and turning into creatures of greed and desire.
A promise was made, to let Ataro have a taste of the rest of the world. If he saw his own likeness within tradition and hard work, he was more than welcome to stay and continue their dynasty. Though if he did not, he had their blessing to travel and experience the world.
His first taste game in a small, packaged box. A headset was seated within, tempting the young man away to a virtual world of glory and excitement.
Not long after booting up the device did he receive a rather peculiar message...
