  1. Yladia, the ancestral home of the Yladian Forest Elves, Joen had traveled long and far to come here hoping to learn more of his history and unlock the mystery behind why this country fell. Now here he stood, along the border known as Esuilus, a region known for its massive mushrooms. So far his travels brought him to its southern region which closely resembled Falderen and this is where he decided to make camp as it would be an easy place for others to find.

As he stood there Joen looked down and himself and allowed a small sigh to escape his lips as he shook his head, the long road had taken its toll on him, his clothes were covered in dust and his head was unkempt and looked as if it hadn't been washed in days. "Not looking to good for a King are we Joen?" he said to himself as no one was around, as he stood there he nodded his head and opened the his menu to send out a message.

    Forum Message

    Resurrection of Yladia
Hello my fellow Yladians, this is King Joen, the new King of Yladia. Have you wandered far and wide looking for a place to call home? Have you always felt out of place no matter where you are at? Well then join me in restoring our ancestral home, together I know that we can make Yladia the great nation it was in ages long passed. For any brave enough to heed my call, I await you in the southern part of Esuilus.

With his message sent Joen lifted his head and looked around at his surroundings, already in his mind he could see the outline of a small settlement. Where the walls would go, the shops, everything they would need to begin restoring their home country.

  2. Oh hell, this was gonna be a whole elf-thing, wasn’t it?

She could see it now—mushrooms, harp music, everyone dying their hair platinum blonde and eating salad... god damn she’d never imagined anything so beautifully pretentious in her life. They could all shoot bows and arrows and ride deer and chant in some made-up language—she could probably memorize a handful of words from some fantasy text generator and just use them over and over and nobody would know the difference. Yes. Hell yes.

(Best of all, Russell couldn’t join. And would she hold that over his head? You goddamn bet.)

Vedhui’edhel, brother elf!” Destiny called ahead of her, her twang making the sentence sound horrible. “Vedhui’edheeel!” She raised one hand and wiggled her wrist slightly in her best elf-wave (like the queen of England more or less, she figured. Right?) “When’re our Yladian comrades all showin’ up?”

...Playful as she was, Des wasn’t a total troll. Hell, at least not this time. Was pretty hard for player-characters to fit into a real NPC Yladian society (regardless of the length of their ears) and makin’ a little spinoff wasn’t too bad of an idea. Hell, powerful as they “immortals” were, it was little wonder that a culture so mysterious and mystical as the native Yladians were reluctant to accept them into their society no-questions-asked.

A small, easy grin split the black-haired woman’s face as the androgynous player approached @Joen Panelis. Slap a circlet, a laurel, and a white gown on her and she could play a thousand-year-old enchantress easy! Just give the word! “Ready to get this little haven started. Paa’nini.” That was a sandwich.

  3. Joen had been lost in thought looking over the small grassy field, here there were only smaller mushrooms so it wouldn't be that hard to begin the construction of a small settlement, although he had to admit that his ambition was much larger than just that. He dreamed of rebuilding an entire society for the Yladians and this is where it would begin, slowly day by day his dream would become a reality and he knew where he wanted the capital to be, it would be built deep in the region known as the Crystallized Zalra. He knew it would take a lot of patience and time but he was just excited to take the first steps along this chosen path.

Joens thoughts, well day dreams more like it, were interrupted by the sound of a voice forcing him to return to the world around him. Turning his head in the direction that sound came from Joen took in the sight of a female that was slowly heading in his direction before he called out to her "You are the first to arrive, although I sincerely hope many more join us soon". Joen slowly made his way towards the newcomer so that he met her half way from where he had been and extended his hand out for her to shake "I am Joen, I am glad you accepted my invitation to rebuild this land"

From what he could gather about her in the short period of time that they had interacted Joen could tell that she didn't seem to take very many things seriously. This was something that didn't bother him in the slightest as he knew all to well that he had a tendency to be a little to serious about things and it would be nice to have someone around that could balance the mood out a little. "Are you as excited as I am about this project, I mean its not every day that you get a chance to start your own Kingdom and build it from the ground up." His face beaming with excitement, not unlike a kid that was just told he could get whatever he wanted from the candy story "Man I love this game"

  4. Rivers had seen the forum request. His character was a Yladian, so maybe he should participate. After all, he and Mist had wanted to help build something up. Why not a place for a bunch of elves? Everyone would have pointed ears just like them. And maybe they could do elf things! Wait...what did elves...do? Thus far, Rivers had just done normal people things, was that supposed to change? Was he supposed to wear some fancy elf clothes and talk some fancy elf language? Oh God, this was so much pressure. But, he assured it'd be fine. And even if it wasn't, Mist wanted to build something and seemed on board. So it seemed that was that.

So, Rivers and Mist began their trip to Yladia, crossing through Falderen. They were getting close to the meetup point. Rivers didn't exactly know what to expect. Were they settling the wilderness? Was there already infrastructure there for them to use? Would this be log cabins? Stone buildings? Tents? The possibilities were limitless! Okay, the possibilities were somewhat limited. But still!

Rivers saw a few people standing around a few meters ahead of them. Turning to Mist, he flashed a grin. "Guess it's time to introduce ourselves." He quickened in his pace before waving wildly at his fellow Yladians. "Hi! I'm Rivers! Nice to meet you!" He continued to walk towards the pair with Mist until he was in actual talking distance.

"Hi. So," he turned to the mushroom field. Wow, those were a lot of mushrooms. "So...this is Yladia. I was expecting more trees and less...mushrooms. Is there like a settlement nearby that we're heading to or are we camping out here?"

    @Mist Lúthes

  5. This was so exciting! A message sent out to only the Yladians from somebody trying to build up their own little player settlement in their "homeland"--it was like the start of a grand adventure, which was just what Mist had been hoping for. The fact that Rivers was coming as well just made it all the better. They could help build up a new kingdom of their people together! She could barely contain her excitement as they started getting closer, hand held tight to Rivers as they approached. A little squeal escaped as he spotted people in the distance.

Mist let Rivers lead them in and introduce himself to the others already gathered here, a moment of shyness making her tongue feel fat in her mouth. Oh gosh, new people. New people to be friends with, and build something with, and adventure with. She should be a hundred percent down for this! Still, she might have been too eager for her own good, as her imagination was going wild.

Would their kingdom survive, or be crushed by the NPC Yladians? Would they all be friends, or would there be drama like whatever was going on in Astorea? Would they like her? Would they like Rivers? Oh geeze. Oh boy. How did she make a first impression? Carefree and fun? Polite and formal? Some combination? UGH, she could make up her mind.

    Just say something!

Drawing in a breath she bowed at the waist to @Joen Panelis and @Destiny Divebird.

"It's very nice to meet you all. My name is Mist. I'm very excited to work with you! Please treat me kindly!"

She straightened her spine again and clung to Rivers' arm, a nervous flush spreading on the tips of her ears. Had that been too much? It might have been to much. Ugh. Why couldn't all meetings go as well as hers and Rivers had? Well, obviously, because she was sober right now. Of course. Great.

At his mushroom comment Mist nudged Rivers' side gently.

"They're very nice mushrooms, sweetheart. I like the luminescence. Ooh, I wonder if we can make buildings from them that glow...or grow them on the ceilings to serve as lighting... "

  6. A small smile was spread across Joens face as he stood there looking out over the small grassy plains, ever since the first time he dove into this majestic land he had dreamed of greatness. His original dream had been to build a kingdom of magic users and be the Sorcerer King of Terrasphere, but as with many things time and experience changed that. Over the course of time he decided that he wanted to return to the ancestral homeland of the Yladian Elves and rebuild their ancient civilization and here he was, taking the first steps along that path.

Joen turned his head as he heard yet another voice calling out to him, it seemed like more people had shown up to assist him in this endeavor which was fantastic since he was going to need all the help he could get. A smile spread across his face as he looked at the pair approaching, a couple if their body language was read correctly "Greetings, I am the one who sent out the invitation to meet me here, I am the Yladian King Joen" Now that he had introduced himself he allowed a small chuckle to escape his lips "Actually for tonight I thought we could all camp here and tomorrow morning we could begin to gather supplies to create a small staging area for the exploration. Feel free to set up your stuff anywhere you want"

While he may have seemed calm and collected Joen was actually sweating bullets, it wasn't like him to be super serious but he had decided to take on the title of King when he proclaimed himself the King of Yladia and set up the adventure so he might as well act like one.

  7. "Oh, that's great. I was just about to get tired of walking."

Brant walked up to them just in time to hear the last parts of what was being said and was relieved to hear that everyone was taking a break. When he had gotten the notification detailing the rebirth of Yladia he was surprised. So surprised in fact that he walked all the way from Brisshal to see what the hub bub was about. He had encountered a few monsters on the way but nothing major as his health was at a stable 80%. Granted that was only because he had enough energy to spam healing spells but that was besides the point.

He collapsed onto his bottom and allowed his staff to fall beside him. Despite the few cuts and patches of dirt on his body he didn't look worse for wear. In fact, he was looked quite content with a smile on his face.

"By the way the name is Brant. Brant Dugal. It is a pleasure to meet you, your highness." Brant bent his upper body forward with an arm over his chest. It looked awkward because he was sitting but the general message was there all the same.

    Lead the way.

  8. Her fun mostly over with, Destiny slipped back into a more normal, relaxed demeanor. "Sure, seems fun," she said easily. So I'm the only one so far? Mmm. It crossed her mind that this might not be a gathering of blissfully happy elf-people and might actually be a trap to ambush idiots like her all alone in the middle of mushroom-woods.

"Phew," she couldn't help but say as a couple led by @Rivers Asteire emerged from the fungi forest, both of them pointy-eared and ready to build a new nation. Bullet dodged. "You got some good interior design ideas," she said to @Mist Lúthes, raising her brows.

Des didn't miss the fact that @Joen Panelis was now introducing himself as King Joen and quickly slipped into her new role. She took a long-legged step closer to the fair-haired man. "And I'm Queen Destiny, diviner of Divebirds. Paa'nini, y'all." The dark-haired woman gave a small, friendly wave. Cute lil' couple. Wonder if they're real-life or just in the game.

Speaking of relationships, the spidery gal added "Aw, but we're not married or nothin'. I'm more like a backup-King in case somethin' happens. That's the elf-way, it's real traditional." Apparently arriving second qualified her for second-in-command. Where was this shit coming from? Can't have been that flower-mushroom I sniffed on the way here, right...

Deciding to quit while she was ahead (was she ahead...) Destiny gave a little two-fingered salute and went off to start setting up the campsite. That she was perfectly comfortable with. Hell, she camped more in the woods than a professional camper. Actually, I might be classified as a professional camper. It was her day job. She waved at @Brant Dugal from across the clearing, calling "Hey there, stranger!" in the way that people usually teasingly called to their close friends (except that they actually were strangers. Go figure.)

Goddammit, what was happening. Her brain was functioning like an after-midnight homework assignment. I remember to sleep in real life yesterday? Aw, well. Starting on the campsite, Destiny began to clear out small, foot-high mushrooms to make a comfortable space. The clearing Joen had chosen was defensible and large.

Whistling, she set up a few simple net-traps around the edges of the clearing baited with the mushrooms-- they'd either catch some game or scare off a big predator if one came lookin' for trouble. "Y'all think we should hum? Some vocal harmony here would really suit the mood, y'know." Throat-singing Yladians, who could ask for more? "HmmmmmmMMMM~" This was actually happening.

  9. A soft smile spread across Joens face as his silver eyes roamed over each individual that was present, each one of them had accepted his summons for their own reasons and those reasons didn't matter to him, all that did matter was that they were able to work together to create this country. It would take a long time to fully achieve, he knew this but they were at this very moment taking the first steps to seeing it completed. His biggest hope in the near future was that they would be able to build off of the remains of the ancient Yladian society that had once belonged to these lands.

Joens silver eyes slowly turned to look upon the raven haired female that had first arrived there as she stepped up along side him, her statement statement about being Queen caused his to arc his eyebrows slightly however he choose to refrain from making a comment as she continued on with her nonsense babbling which caused him to wonder if she truly expected anyone to take her seriously. Shaking his head every so slightly he turned his attention away from her and back to the area around them when he noticed yet another person arriving, this one however seemed to be much more physically exhausted than those who had arrived before him, perhaps he had traveled further.

Joen watched as the newest arrival made his way over to him and promptly fell upon his backside from which he proceeded to bow from. An act that made his look utterly ridiculous and caused a wide smile to spread across Joens lips before he chuckled "Please Brant, take your time, regain your breathe and we can talk more when you are ready there is no rush" lifting his head Joen watched as the sun was on already on the far side of its celestial journey and beginning to lower itself across the horizon.

As the sun began to fade from view, so to did the light and Joen had spent enough time out in the wilderness to know that when the sun went down, that was when the more dangerous animals would come out to prowl. His mind raced for a solution, he didn't think that a mere camp fire would be enough to deter the hardened creatures of this region when suddenly he had an idea. "Tagolann suh igira!", the words of the mystical incantation needed for one of his hydromancy spells flew from his lips quickly and as soon as the last syllable left his lips the spell began to take into affect. The air around them chilled ever so slightly as the moisture within the air froze solid all the way around them creating a thick wall of ice that completely encircled the encampment.

Now that they were protected from any animals that might decide they would make a tasty meal in the middle of the night Joen laid down some dried pieces of wood that he had collected earlier "Pilif du akular lethodar sinur!", another mystical incantation flew from his lips only this time it was for a pyromancy spell and once it was finished a fire roared to life upon the firewood that he had laid down "Everyone feel free to get in close to the fire, don't need anyone freezing out here in the night"

  10. Mist elbowed him about his mushroom comment. He looked over at her with a raised eyebrow. "I didn't say there was anything bad about mushrooms. Just...I'm surprised. I generally think forests when I think elves. So I picture tall trees and Lord of the Rings. This is...a bit different." After his comment, the man in front of him introduced himself as King of the Elves. Huh. That seemed...odd. This guy looked like a normal player. Given, Rivers had heard that that king in Titanius had also been a normal player so maybe that wasn't uncommon. But like, that guy was menacing and super strong. The player in front of him didn't seem as such. Which meant one of two things. Either the player in front of him wasn't actually that strong...or he was really sneaky about it.

Of course, Rivers believed it was the latter. He'd trust in this proclaimed King Joen. Rivers flashed Mist a small smile as she clung to his arm. When the other elf, Destiny, introduced herself as Queen, Rivers interjected before she could explain. "Oh, are you two married?" When she corrected him, Rivers turned red like a tomato. "O-oh, sorry." How could he put his foot in his mouth like that?! Why had he just assumed they were married? Okay, there was a pretty good reason he'd assumed that. Didn't he think at all?! This is what Rivers got for not understanding lore. Somewhere in the Yladian lore they'd probably outlined this and he just hadn't read it. Damn him for choosing what looked cool! Out of embarrassment, Rivers took a small step behind Mist and gave some definitely not awkward laughter at this natural and common situation unfolding around them. Ha ha. Ha ha ha.

Another Yladian approached and introduced himself as Brant. He seemed...out of breath. Had he had a rough journey to the meeting point? Rivers should help him. Time to make use of his newfound mastery of white magic! "Hi Brant. I'm Rivers. Here, you look a bit exhausted." Rivers outstretched his hand and concentrated on the energy flowing through it and into his new and injured friend. After a few seconds of this Rivers put his hand down. "Hope that helps! Let me know if you need some more. Or Mist," he nudged his girlfriend. "She's a lot better at it than I am."

Together, the newly formed group stayed around until it began to get dark. Joen placed some dried wood in the middle of their "camp" and lit it with pyromancy. Rivers threw down his pack and stepped closer to the fire. It was...it was getting chilly. Rivers had just taken a stint in Vintergard, but cold was cold! Looking for a bit of warmth, he took a step closer to Mist and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, hugging her to him. This was great! It was like a camping trip with friends! They had fire, and some wilderness, now they just needed some -

The rumbling in his stomach finished Rivers' sentence for him. "Guess I'll get started on dinner," he said to Mist before turning to his pack. He produced some rations and cookware for him and Mist. Having the cooking vocation generally meant he was on food duty on their trip up here. Now should be no exception and he didn't want to inconvenience anyone else to cook his food. "If any of you guys have some food you want me to cook up I don't mind to. I have the cooking vocation so I can make something pretty good." Rivers waited for any of the others to offer up some food before he started cooking all of it. There was something peaceful and relaxing about cooking over a campfire. Of course, having a stove was super clutch. But this was nice in its own way. As the food cooked, Rivers stepped back from the fire and took a seat by Mist. This was exciting for them. This was the first time they'd really been around other players as a couple. How were they doing? No one had told them to get a room or called them gross, so he figured they were doing pretty well!

After some time and some conversation, Rivers took the pan off the fire and distributed the food to those who had put food in. Then he returned to his seat.

  11. It was a fairly typical day when, Majolica, Grand Witch of Terrasphere and Commander of The Witch Ops Battalion received a message by someone proclaiming themselves to be "King of the Elves".

"Hehehe, what? Elves have a king? Hehe, there are elves? Why am I, hehe, oh, I guess I'm an elf. Hehehe."

Apparently, Majolica had never really considered that she was an elf. She was, and officially that was her race, but she had never played the "elf card".

"Well, hehe, I guess I do live in a forest... hehehe, but still..."

For Majolica, what came first over anything else was that she was a witch, and not just any witch, The Grand Witch. Basically, the best witch in the world. To date, she was still the only one that had a magic broom, which is the same as saying that if you didn't have a broom, you weren't really a witch at all. Just a sorceress or something like that.

Majolica nodded at her line of thinking.

"Hehehe, even if I am an elf, it goes witch first, then commander, hehehe, THEN elf. Hehehe, after all, The Witch Ops Battalion is open to everyone regardless of race! Hehehe, actually, I don't think i know anyone's races off the top of my head, hehe, besides the obvious ones with cat ears or that are tiny. Hehehe, well I guess other than elf that's pretty much all of them. Hehe, oh and dog ears."

Majolica shrugged, it didn't really matter much to her in the slightest. There were more important things like what a person could do, or if they had a broomstick, or if they were stinky goblins, or if they had a broomstick. Having or not having a broomstick is very important.

"Hehehe, well, I'm definitely not going to call this guy a king, but I'm a bit bored so I'll go see what he's doing anyway! Hehehehe, it could be fun! If he tries to make me call him king though, I'm turning him into a frog... hehehe. Okay, let's go see what's going on over there with all these elf people! Hehehehe!"

And so Majolica was off. Riding atop her broomstick, she traveled all the way from her witch cottage in Brisshal to the entrance of Esuilus. Though she had traveled far and wide, she had never actually been to Esuilus. This fact is in and of itself was strange because...

    "Mushrooms! GIANT MUSHROOMS! Heheheheehe!"

As The Grand Witch survived off basically nothing but candy and mushrooms, Esuilus upon first glance looked rather... appetizing.

Flying towards the first massive growth she saw, Majolica bit right into the side of the massive mushroom munching greedily. With a mouth full of mushroom, Majolica chortled.

    "Hehehehe, goood....."

Thankfully, The Grand Witch, as she often said, was immune to poisons from mushrooms as well as cavities and tummy aches. After all, she was a witch and witches don't get sick from eating such things.

As she munched happily, the sun began to set which was when Majolica noticed a firelight and voices coming from not to far away.

"Hehehehe, friend or foe?! Who knows, hehehe, but they're in my mushroom forest!"

Apparently, Majolica had now claimed the mushroom forest as her property.

"Hehe, just in case they're bad guys, I'll send the clones!"

    Majolica concentrated momentarily.

"One over Festive times three! Hehehe!"
    skill
    Majolica Clone

Suddenly, three other Majolicas popped into existence. Taking for another bite from the mushroom tree, Majolica pointed the other Majolicas towards the campfire.

"Go check it out. If it's okay, one of you come and get me."

The three clones giggled, nodded, and ran towards the campfire. As they neared, they spied on the others sitting by the fire. Whispering to each other, they devised a plan.

    "Hehe, let's scare them!"

    "Hehehe, yes! You go first!"

    "No, hehe, you!"

    "Hehehe, I'll go!"

Finally, Majolica 3 jumped down over the ice wall by climbing a nearby tall mushroom. She landed over the wall and in the firelight.

"Hehehehe, you have trespassed into the newly claimed territory of Grand Witch Majolica! Which is me! Hehehehe, now what are you doing on my property!"

    Then, Majolica 2 jumped down.

"Hehe, you'd better have a good reason! Are you good guys, or dirty stinky goblins trying to steal my new territory! Hehehe!"

    Then, Majolica 1.

"If, you're stinky little goblins, hehehe, it would be best for you to run! Or, hehe, I'll turn you all into frogs! Hehehehe!"

Several yards away, the real Majolica, or Majolica R, happily chomped mushrooms to her heart's content.

  12. Rubbing the side of her jaw and eying the enormous ice wall @Joen Panelis had made to fortify the campsite, Destiny hitched her mouth to the side. Y’know, sometimes it looks damn handy to have magic, she thought dryly. Saved her aching back. Saved her some peace of mind. If you were creative (which, don’t get her wrong, she knew she wasn’t) you could bend it to do anything you put your damn mind to.

When the black-haired Yladian had first made her character, she hadn’t been thinking about long-term. Terrasphere was just another game Russell nagged her into picking up so the two could stay in contact while he was out on his jobs and she was stuck at home on hers.

“What’s this one supposed to be?” she’d asked him dryly. “Fantasy RPG,” he replied. She’d squinted. “Like what, Lord of the Rings, elves and orcs and hobbits?” The man had rolled his eyes and laughed like she was some kinda ignorant schmuck who only played Wii U, but hell, that was still the mindset she’d gone into this thing with. Elves were long and weird and shot bows and arrows and sang to the forest animals or whatever (all right, so she hadn’t seen the damn movies since she was fifteen) so she’d ran with it.

Besides, she knew how to do all those things. She was comfortable with it. And for once in her damn life, playing to her strengths had let her immerse herself in a wild, wonderful world that was two-parts wilderness and one-part things tryin’ to kill you, and that suited her just fine (as long as she got away.) Magic? Who needed magic when you could just be prepared to jump up and sprint for the hills at a moment's notice, right?

    (Still, magic would be nice.)

“Sure! I got a bunch of rabbit meat left over, don’t mind sharin’ if you’re willin’ to cook.” Destiny looked up when she heard @Rivers Asteire offer. She pulled up her palm menu to open her inventory, selecting a drop-down for RABBIT MEAT (RAW) x4 and handing it over to the one-eyed blond at the fire. As she was closing out of her UI, she caught a glimpse of the time and let out a sudden swear. “Oh hell, I gotta feed the dogs. Be right back, y’all. Don’t let anything snack on me while I’m out.”

Christ, she still couldn’t believe it’d taken her that long to get here—the walk through the mushroom-woods had gone so quickly in her head. Aw, well. Selecting [SLEEP – LOG OUT] she lay down on her bedroll near the ice-wall and was out like a light. Hell, faster, she was out like someone had unplugged the light and then spiked the desk-lamp on the floor.

Literally the moment the ranger had signed off, pink-haired illusory elf duplicates of @Grand Witch Majolica began to appear around the campsite, threatening to evict the commune of New Yladians and their pretentious King (and calling them goblins to boot.) Alas, Self-Proclaimed Queen Destiny of the Divebirds would be back after she finished showering, warming up her neighbor’s leftovers in the microwave, and breaking ice out of the dogs’ water dish. Nothin' beat reality!

ooc: stepping out of this thread for a little bit, might hop back in later when I'm not so busy :)

  13. The night air now had a slight chill to it thanks to the ice wall that Galadion had conjured, the cold felt refreshing upon his skin as he stood there looking up at the clear night sky. The constellations in the heavens were different from the ones in the real world, it seemed like the creators of this virtual world had even gone to this level of detail with their creation. Even after having spent a decent amount of time in this game there was several time that Galadion had to remind himself that this wasn't the real world, the level of realism and detail in the world around him made it very very easy to forget that a lot of the time.

Tear his gaze away from the heavens he brought it back down to the small makeshift campsite that they had set up for themselves the for the night, a small smile spread across Galadions face as he looked at each one of them. He could already begin to see it now the country that they would build for not only themselves but all of the Yladian race within Terrasphere, the Non-Player Characters had just as much of a right to return to their ancestral home as the Players did if not even more of a right than the Players as they actually belonged to this world. For them this was their reality and the Players kept coming to their world day after day to escape their lives in the real world.

He watched as the one who had introduced himself as Rivers asked everyone if they had anything that that wanted to pitch in for supper and some of the others did indeed give him some things to put into the pot for supper. And this is how it would begin, in these first days they would create the bonds of camaraderie that they would need to complete this endeavor. It was at this point in time that Galadion noticed that the female who had proclaimed to have been his Queen upon the arrival of the other Players had said something about having to log off for awhile, he watched as she moved herself closer to the wall before laying down and logging off. This seemed like a singularly bad idea to him since when she logged back on her cold meter would have been drastically reduced if he didn't do something.

With a wave of his hand Galadion sent a small amount of mana into the ground around the sleeping female, it was a rather weak spell so it required no magical invocation. Slowly vines grew up and out of the ground before they wove themselves together to form a makeshift blanket over the females body, heat began to gently radiate forth from the vines so that she would be able to resist the chill of the wall. With a nod Galadion turned away from the female, satisfied that his spell would keep her from harm when suddenly he noticed that there was another individual in their camp.

Not just one intruder but three all wearing the same face, but the question was, where they real or an illusion? Standing there Galadion listened to the strange individuals claims of them being inside of her territory which caused him to narrow his eyes as he stared at her "Your territory? I am Galadion, the King of Yladia and this country is under my protection. I don't know who you are or why you are here but we would rather not have a confrontation here and now"

  14. "Hehehehe, King? I've never heard anything about an Elf King, have you?"

Majolica A turned to Majolica B questioningly.

"Hehe, nope! Even if he is the king, it doesn't look like he has much of a kingdom if he's sitting around a camp in front of fire instead of in a big castle? Riiiight? Hehehehe!"

    Majolica C chimed in.

"That's right! Hehehehe, if you're the king, where is your castle! And all your subjects! If you were a king you'd be living in a big fancy castle with guards, and dummy nobles, and all of that! Hehehehe, you but don't have any of that so even if you call yourself a king..."

Majolica B picked up where C started.

"... you're not really the king of anything, are you? Hehehehe!"

Majolica A stepped out in front and pointed directly at the so-called "Elf King".

"And if you're not a real king, hehehe, then what right do you have to these lands?! Hehehehehehe, none! Though even if you were a king, hehe, I wouldn't care anyway. I've claimed these lands now, so they belong to me! And I'm not a King or a Queen, hehehehe, but The Grand Witch Majolica! Most powerful witch in the land! Hehehehe, don't squint your eyes at me little King Goblin, hehe, stinky dumb little King Goblin! Hehehehe, the only thing you're king of is dirt and stinky poops!"

    Majolica C continued.

    "Hehehehe stinky stinky poops!"

    Then B

"Hehehe, and why are you making slanty-eyed face? Hehehehe, is the dummy King Goblin angry? Instead of being angry, hehehe, you should be thankful! Instead of being a dumb stinky king, hehe, I'll give you the opportunity to serve me! Hehe, a Grand Witch! You can be one of the subjects of my new land! OOOH! Hehehe, I have a better idea! How about this, I'll let you become my... what's the word... vassal!"

    Majolica A stepped in.

"Hehe, ooh! Good idea! Okay, hehe, how about this! Since I'm a nice Grand Witch, I'll make you a deal! Hehe, you can be my vassal! If you agree, hehe, you can build up the area and do whatever you want, hehehe, but you'll have to pay me tributes, hehehe, in mushrooms, and you'll be my subordinate! Heheheh, if you agree, then I'll let you keep the lands and do whatever you want, hehe, but remember, you serve me! I'm very nice and fun by the way, hehehe, so this is a really good deal, isn't it?"

Majolica A turned to Majolica's B and C both of which nodded in agreement.

"So, what will you do? Hehehehe, and don't forget, I'm a very powerful witch! One you definitely wouldn't want to cross, hehehe, and one that could probably take this land by force if I wanted! Hehehe, but I'm a dark hero not a bad guy so I wouldn't do that. Besides, hehehe, why would I have to take something that's already mine?! Hehehe, that's silly."

  15. The amount of ridiculous things that spewed forth from the female before him made Galadion wonder at the poor woman's sanity, the inside of her head must have been a rather terrible place to live in. He could only imagine what sort of mad rambles bounced around unsaid within that skull of her, the thought actually brought a small chuckle to his lips. Even now when the female was attempting to turn him and his claim to be the King of Yladia into nothing more than a joke, he found it incredibly difficult to take her serious. Somewhere along the way apparently Galadion had been downgrades to the King of the Goblins, he wasn't exactly sure how they had gotten there and if he was being honest, he wasn't entirely sure that he would be able to follow the mad woman's train of thoughts.

Galadion stood there allowing the female to make her joke as he waited for her to finish, a soft chuckle escaped his lips as the mad woman had apparently demoted him even further now to the King of Stinky Poop, by all the gods it must have been hell inside that head of hers and with every passing second he was more and more sure of that. Galadion lifted his head and looked up at the female once more when she pitched him the offer to become her servant and she was give him the lands, which caused him to slightly shake his head once more. It would be a cold day in hell before Galadion found himself in the service of someone that was as mad as this woman obviously was.

Apparently the female was a 'Grand Witch', which as far as Galadion could tell was no different that him proclaiming to be the King of Yladia. Even if she really was a powerful witch Galadion had no intention of backing down and just allowing this female to appear out of nowhere and end his endeavor before it even truly got underway. "Well Grand Witch, I have to say that that truly is a rather generous offer. But you see I am going to have to decline anyway, you see I am a King and since I am a King I can't be anyone's vassal. Oh and these lands that you keep proclaiming to be yours, well you can't have them because I have already taken them for myself"

Galadion was unsure as to how the Mad Witch was going to take his response so he readied himself for combat all the same just to be on the safe side. With a flick of his wrist a pale white wand appeared within his hand, a wand that Galadion had crafted himself way back when using bark from an rare white Yew tree and having placed Goblin Bone as its magical core. It might not have been the most powerful of weapons in the world but it had been his faithful friend through many battles.
