Private - Gold, Glory, and Growth

  1. It had been a rather stark realization that Prince couldn't solely be a thief, or continue to alienate others like him if he wanted to get far. While he did indulge himself a little earlier, it was about time he stuck to what he knew he needed to do in these kinds of games. Get connected, and get out there to build up his potential. But this early on? There wasn't much he was able - or willing - to do. While he could have tried to do search quests or retrievals alone, he needed to ensure he wasn't caught off guard in the event of a hunter.

The young man had managed to gather that there was a particularly aggressive pack of wolves due to lack of normal prey - resulting in the desperation that would drive them to even attack civilization in search of some easy meals. However, while he had confidence in his magic he didn't think he could particularly outfight a wolf pack. Luckily, he was a smart man. Two could play at the cooperation game. The Prince de Lapin, the rabbit burglar, took pains to ensure that he made himself as noticeable as possible in the main meeting places of Honeyhome, having arrived there after some wandering in the woodlands. Not difficult with some illusion magic, giving a display of roses and sparkles with a wave of his silver pipe.

"To any who are also new to this place, I'm in the mood to go hunting for some wolves. They've been getting more bold, and if there's anything this clever prey likes, it's to put predators in their place. It'll be rewarding for everyone involved, I can tell - who knows what they bring back to their dens? And their pelts - if we can get them - would be good proof of our service to the fine people of Honeyhome."

A winning smile at that, enticing any he could...perhaps one @Joen Panelis if they were to be looking for work as well.

  2. The sun was at the zenith of its travels across the heavens, its light radiating down and banishing all but the smallest amount of shadows from the virtual world below. Joen stood there looking up at the gigantic ball of flames high above his head, excitement twinkled in his eyes, he had been playing Terrasphere Online for awhile now but the amount of realism that the mysterious creators of this magnificent world were able to capture never ceased to amaze him. The smell of the trees and grass around him, had he not known better he would have thought that he was inside of a real forest in the real world and not inside of a video game.

Joen originally started to play Terrasphere as a means of helping him with his books, in the real world he was a fantasy writer by profession and being able to live and actually experience the adventures that he wrote about would help make him a better writer. However as time went on he found a new goal for his time within this virtual wonder, he had began to search out the scattered Yladian people and gather them together in hope of rebuilding their ancient society in their ancestral homeland of Yladia. And it was exactly this search that brought him to his current destination within the Maithe Woods.

Traveling along one of the many paths that wound through the woodland Joen found himself near the entrance of Honeyhome, a small village found just outside the woods, he knew he had been getting close since he could already smell the flowers and fresh pastry heavily upon the air. Not wanting to be recognized since Joen had been introducing himself as the King of Yladia or the Yladian King he took a deep breathe "Tangus suh dolibix tsaran!", as the words of the mystical incantation left his mouth the air around him shimmered as his appearance changed. Joen lost all features that identified him as a Yladian until he looked exactly like a black haired human.

Now that his disguise was finished Joen made his way into the town but stopped when he seen someone near the entrance, it seemed like they were looking for someone to help them kill off some pesky wolves. Making his way over Joen stopped infront of the individual and smiled slightly "I'll help you kill the wolves"

  3. "Excellent! We'll make a good pair, I can expect. While I'd like to think I could pull my weight - why allow wolves to hold the sole advantage of working as a pack?"

At that, the blond thief with blue eyes pocketed his pipe. Producing a rod that seemed like a slightly fancier walking stick, he tapped it on the ground. With a grin, he said simply:

"If you feel that prepared, I don't see a reason not to get a move on - we can do the proper introductions on the road if you don't mind. I'm a little...ambitious at the minute. "

  4. Joen stood there looking and the blue eyed, blonde haired human who he had just agreed to team up with for a second, the sunlight sparkling off of Joens silver eyes, the one part of his original look that the illusion spell he had cast earlier didn't alter. His new companion seemed rather eager to get underway in their quest so much so that he was willing to dispense with common social politeness, however he had already agreed to help so help he would.

Joen knew that he would be able to handle a wolf pack all on his own however this time around he would play a purely support role to his human companion. Turning away from the small village that he had just arrived at and turned his his gaze back towards the woods that he had just exited "I bet the wolves we are looking for are somewhere in there"

  5. "You're right in that case...I wish I had something to sniff them out, but I suppose I'll have to make do with just investigation. So, do tell me about yourself...I've just been in a hurry due to an earlier engagement with another adventurer. Similarly green as I, but he took offense when I attacked a violent creature that had already been weakened. I'm hoping he doesn't try and take retribution already, as I'm not far. I don't know if he'll be a factor, I hope not...so, do go on. "

The thief moved with a natural grace, clearly having chosen acrobatics as his capabilities. He moved further along the roads of Honeyhome, he admitted it had a homely charm to it but something in him stirred to reach the places where he can truly shine. He wanted to wander and become something greater. But every road started with a few steps.

"I am curious what brings you to here. Are you new to this world yourself?"

  6. Step by step Joen allowed the road to carry him further away from Honeyhome by the second. As they traveled he listened to his companion silently, his eyes scanned the road ahead of him as he whispered "Kyrnawi utzilah kini!", as the last syllable left his mouth the illusion spell took affect. This particular illusion spell tricked his eyes into seeing the pattern of a wolves foot print in the color yellow which would allow him to track them better.

It didn't take long for Joen to pick up the trail of the wolf pack before pointing off to the east "The pack when this way." turning away from his human companion he set off in the direction that he had indicated before finally offering up an explanation as to what he was doing, although it was a lie "I am just a wandering adventurer, I don't really have any goals I just go where the road takes me and this time the road led me to you". Joen didn't want to tell the human was he was truly doing since he was exactly that....a human, and since he wasn't a Yladian his plans didn't include him. Turning back to his companion once more Joen chuckled softly "So who was this other player that got mad at you for attacking an injured animal? You think he might interfere with our quest or attack you?"
