    The Entrance

The cavern before you is the well known Tutorial Dungeon. A place where new players go to practice combat and see what a dungeon feels like without putting their lives at much risk. The cave is close to Stokbon and you have traveling merchants and healers often stopping by the entrance to help the weak adventurers who come through here. Today you have for whatever reason made the decision to come here and try it for yourself. Stepping within the small entrance. You'll see that the actual halls of the cave are very wide and tall. Allowing for easy movement. The cave also seems to be illuminated without the need for a torch. Making only getting from one end of the cave o the other your main concern.

    Safe Travels!

  2. [Exploration Post]

Rein kicked a rock out of his way as he strolled confidently into the tutorial dungeon. He had heard about this place from a variety of players he had interrogated. It seemed that there was low-level equipment ripe for grabbing somewhere within its structure. Rein doubted the feasibility of this, attributing their gear to lucky looting, but boredom pushed him out of his way to come here anyway. The cave wasn’t what he had thought it would be, he was expecting a dimly lit, three room, claustrophobic affair filled with diseased rodents. Instead, the walls were massive, leading to the impression that the canals the cave contained were numerous. Additionally, the walls seemed to radiate with some form of magical light that Rein couldn’t quite place the source of.

Electing to ignore any others trying their might in the cavern, Rein chose a random pathway forward, strolling down it with a childish grin. Much as he had expected, most of the dungeon was picked clean leaving only the smooth stone the cave was made along its hallways. After a few minutes, he began to gain the impression that finding anything in this cave was going to be more of an effort in persistence than that of skill or talent. “Oh well..” He thought out loud idly, “I’m sure what I need will find me.” Not that he really had anything in mind, rather he’d know it was something he needed once he found it.

Eventually, Rein began to grow bored of simply walking trying to rationalize out a plan. Since he had started making his way through the area he had crossed many intersections, he had been picking turns at random and following the tunnel, it led too. This was clearly not working; he’d need to map out his directions or he could easily get lost. He had no parchment or pen handy, so he did the next best thing, and began to drag his metal claws across the stone as he stalked the hallways leaving a large gouge in the wall behind him. He continued in this pattern for quite some time, not looking for an exit, but rather any gear that was left behind.

  3. So far, Rosalie had been spending a lot of her time in Terrasphere simply getting her bearings, growing accustomed to her body and the world that would be her home while she was in it. She was starting to be quite comfortable here- much more than she'd expected. However, she was acutely aware that she hadn't advanced much. Learning how to live here was one thing- but to actually have a life, for Rosalie to really be someone, she'd have to get out and do things to improve her skills. And even though her goals lay on the simple side, she'd pretty much inevitable have to do some dungeon-crawling like most of the other players. This low-level cave would be a fine place to start.

Rosalie was prepared to enter a dark cave, but as she ducked through the entrance she was surprised to find it well-lit- by some magical light spell, one would presume. It wasn't as though the developers would mess up the lighting on a place like this that most players would end up in at some point. As bright and inviting as the cave was, Rosalie had to presume there'd be some danger, so she clutched her carrot spear tightly as she advanced further inside.

It seemed, however, that at least at the start, there was little in the way of either rewards or challenges here. Instead, Rosalie found herself traversing a maze. With the plain stone walls, Rosalie had little guidance through the cave. She tried to make her way roughly towards the opposite end. Soon, she started to hear a noise from farther down the corridors. A monster, or another player? As she followed the sound, she noticed a line carved through the wall. Not entirely sure where it would lead, she followed the trail toward its source...

  4. Kessler started his adventure with a bothered grunt, his brow furrowed, it didn't look like the others were waiting to meet up, to strategize, he arrived at the location, promised support, but in the end was alone. It didn't bother him too much, going alone might be just as well, but at the same time, doing a dungeon alone wasn't typically the best advised option, particularly as the weaker party. He only felt a more resounding regret knowing that his friends from real life couldn't gather in time to start a Waaagh to wish him well and buff him up before diving in. It was a tough spot, but he didn't dwell on it as he began his advance pulling the large hammer from his back.

As he moved through the tunnels, his first instinct wasn't to search, but to reinforce himself for what would come. As he stepped further, his left arm showed with a deep orange light before slowly coalescing into tattoos that wrapped up his arm and over his body. The stone of the cavern beneath him beginning to shake as that light covered his back. The gravel and rock of the ground suddenly lurching up like rough waves at sea gripping onto his legs as he went. As if the weight didn't slow him down he waded through the stone step by step until it surged up his frame tightly surrounding him until it began to take the shape of armor. The thickness of the earth added a few extra feet to his height, but he was still small enough to navigate the caverns without much difficulty. The only indicator that he was a human at all being the fleshy eyes peering out through the golem armor's mouth. It's head took the shape of a fierce looking deep sea creature, concealing his head within it's mouth to provide him a line of sight as well as confuse his enemies.

With his armor complete, anyone glancing at his health bar would notice a thick grey section covering a decent portion of it, the results of his labors as he began his search a little more actively once It was done. His large frame was loud, bulky but not unwieldy, it would no doubt be easy to hear him from a fair distance away. If Rosalie spotted him, it wouldn't entirely be surprising, but if she noticed he was human was another story entirely!

    Eye Slime x 1 Appears!
    (Status Unknown/Not Focused On)

While Rein wondered seeking gear.... A dripping noise might cause him to turn around. A large glob of green slime fell from the ceiling of the cavern. It would rise up and a large eye would gaze at the man. It quivered in excitement and advanced with by slowly oozing it's way forward.

    Bat x 2
    (Stats Unknown/Not Focused On)

Rosalie and Kessler would end up fairly close together. Regardless if they had noticed each other. Shortly thereafter they would notice something else as well. A duo of bats shrieking high pitch squeals as they flew through the cave at a high speed towards them! Their wings making long menacing shadows against the cave walls, enhancing the fear factor of their approach.

  6. [Battle Post]

A loud screeching noise emanated from Rein's gauntlet as he trotted down the cave's walkway leaving a gouge in the wall as he passed. Far from him, he had heard the pitter patter of footsteps following him in tandem, he supposed his markings made that easy, but it was rather irking, he had no intention of sharing anything he found. Still, the alternative was that they were roaming around on their own, as long as they were following him, he'd find all the treasure first.

    "Drip....Drip....Drip..."

What was that asshole following doing now? Taking a leak? Annoyed by the sound Rein flexed his hand digging his clawed gauntlet further into the wall increasing the noise of the metal screeching.

    "Drip...drip...drip.."

"That sounds like it's right on-" Almost to late did Rein look back to see the slime following him from on top of the ceiling. "What the-" Without warning, the slime plopped down onto the ground, causing its only eye to gyrate towards Rein hidden within its gelatinous body slowly. Wasting no time the slime began to ooze towards him leaving a trail of mucous in its wake. Rein grit his teeth in aggravation; he didn't have time to be playing with weak monsters. "GET OUT OF MY WAY!" he screamed as he ran forward slashing his clawed gauntlet at the slime's membrane hoping to dig in deep enough to puncture its eye.

  7. Kessler would pause, a brow raised, not so much out of concern or fear, but rather amusement. A bat was going to be his opponent? Wasn't that simply a silly thing, how did it expect to attack him? Kessler couldn't help a vicious grin spreading across his face-- the answer didn't matter, what mattered was that anything that stepped into his path would be stepped on or torn down. No matter how fast it was flying, as long as Kessler could recognize an opponent it didn't matter to him.

He waited patiently for it to close the distance-- if it tried to look at him from afar, he'd have to close it himself, but no matter what, he made sure to bring his hand to his head-- from the outside it would look like the Golem was touching it's cheek as Kessler tried to enter investigation mode to better understand his Prey as it got closer. Only when it was within range or it seemed to stop would he try to charge towards it or swing at it when it was within his reach.

    "YAHT!"

His roar was loud, fierce as he swing his arms lifting his large hammer up preparing for a baseball swing. Using his strength and the weight from his new armor, he swung aiming to turn the bat into meat paste up against a wall. Even if he missed his strike, he had anticipation that the debris from the blow would fly up and strike the creature as well. His Golem armor was his most prized spell because of how versatile it was after all.

He did however have to take notice of another person's presence, whether or not it was a 'person' he wasn't completely clear, but it's silhouette was no doubt human from it's gait. "Hey there, I'm not above playing knight in shining armor for a princess, but it's hard for me to control my strength--" Kessler tried to tell her from afar knowing that the debris from his blows had a chance of causing chaos. He didn't want to drag someone else into his battle by suddenly blowing them away with stone fragments.

    Rein

Rein would claw out the slime's eye without too much difficulty. The slime could not maintain form without it and would melt away into the floor. Allowing Rein to resume with his journey.

    Bat x 1
    [HEALTH --]

The bats were coming in quickly. Kessler investigated his enemies, however it would waste precious time. Causing the closer bat to strike at his stone body with a shriek. It would smash into it but cause no damage to the man at all. He would then swing his arm smashing the dazed bat that had foolishly smashed into his rock armor. It would be thrown against the wall. The bat slid down with a trail of blood.

The other bat turned to attack the other nearby human. Seeing that Kessler the golem was far too much for it. Since she was unprepared. Rosalie would find a bat clawing at her face!

  9. [Exploration Post]

Rein's claws tore through the slime with ease, sending its gelatinous body to the ground forming a pile of goo. Just because the creature was dead did not mean the boy was done with it however as he continued to strike at the pile with vicious intensity, "TAKE THAT YOU UGLY ONE EYED FREAK OF NATURE!" he screamed at the top of his lungs until the remains had been splattered throughout the area. Once he was content with the thoroughness of the slimes defeat, he spat at its body declaring, "That's what happens when to the bastards that try and sneak up on me!" His revenge complete Rein took a moment to reorient himself within the cave before continuing the way he had been traveling.

As he moved towards the wall, he heard some commotion behind him. It seemed that whoever had been following him had fallen pray to whatever other monsters laid hidden within the dungeon. "Good," Rein thought out loud, "Let that bastard waste his time on those I have some treasure to steal." Rein once again extended his clawed hand to his side, producing a screeching noise as the metal met the stone of the wall, and scaring it as he moved forward. His goal was once again rather simple; he would continue down this pathway marking the wall as he walked. If he came to any more crossroads, he would walk down the path that didn't require him to lift his hand from the wall. Using this method, he hoped to find excess gear laying about. "After all, I have no intention of finding the end of this cave any time soon!" Rein laugh manically as he continued down the illuminated hallway, eyes peeled for loot.

    Bat x 1
    (Stats Unknown/Not Focused On)

As Rein would search the cave some more on his wanderings. Ignoring the sounds of others in the distance. A louder sound would catch his ears. Flapping wings!

A bat swooped down and landed into his hair! Clawing angrily as it tried to get out of his white do.

  11. [Battle Post]

Rein continued down into the cave, claw firmly pressed into the wall to the left of him. It seemed almost labyrinth in nature as he took turn after turn without seeing any remnants of his previous passage. Briefly, he began to second-guess his decision to tread through the area alone, the slime he had seen was nothing compared to him, but there was no telling what kind of creature could lurk down here unbeknownst to anyone. "I should at least have a pair of sacrificial lambs with me next time I do this." Rein thought out loud trying to drown out the metal screech he created. It was too late to second guess himself at this point and head back, however, so he kept on keeping on as it were.

Eventually, he heard a squeak behind him, ignoring it he continued onward. Idly he thought about how a mouse could even survive down here; he hadn't seen any food, perhaps it could eat algae? "I should throw one in a jar with a clump of it and see what happens." Rein said with a laugh, "Maybe hold it over an open flame, to keep it nice warm as well." The squeak once again persisted, this time from above, "That's not a-." It was too late, that bat came swooping down on top of Rein in a flurry of leathery wings attaching itself to his hair as it tried to find purchase on Rein's skull, digging into his scalp in the process.

"RAAGGGHH!" Rein shouted in anger, resisting the urge to punch the bat with his clawed gauntlet immediately. The bat moved to and fro on top of his head, the attack would likely just miss and cause Rein to hurt himself. Instead, he began to channel his electrical magic from deep within him, pushing it upward focusing on the area above his head. Within a few moments, he'd create a small field of electrical current right above him, intending to shock the beast into submission.

((OOC: Rein traveling alone, uses unnamed aeromancy technique to create attack bat))

    Rein

Rein would be victorious in removing the pesky bat from his do! It would fizzle and sizzle on the ground as it died. Rein has no other obstruction to his journey as of right now.

  13. [Exploration Post]

Rein growled as he tore the bat off his head. It seemed his low-level aeromancy skill had managed to fry it rather thoroughly but not before it left a variety of scratches on his scalp. Angrily he tore off its wings, throwing the body to the side, the leathery appendages would fetch a good amount of gold in town, which would help to make up for his lack of found treasure. In fact, it would be his only form of it that he had found thus far, making him regret destroying the slime's eye earlier, "That could have gotten me a beautiful piece of jewelry..." he thought as he began to push onward.

As he continued Rein quickly realized he was starting to come across intersections he had been before, it was a guess, but Rein assumed he was likely halfway through the cave at this rate. Still, the only loot he had found remained to be the two leathery wings he stashed in his back pocket. He was beginning to grow concerned that this trip may have been a waste of his time. Thus propelled by anger, and stubbornness he started to try a new spell. He pulled his mana from deep within himself, pushing it into his eyes. His vision began to brighten as he coalesced his the energy and began pushing down past his cornea. The brightness grew until it became almost unbearable, even with his eyes shut all he could see was a sea of mana. Slowly he managed to thread his mana around his eye lens focusing it into a small film that fit directly over it.

There was no immediate effect on his vision beyond turning back to normal, at least not right away. The spell was two part process that drained his mana considerably at his current mastery. To lessen the drain, he could only add the second effect in pulses, specifically pulses of electricity that he vibrated through the air around him. The pulses were low level enough that they wouldn't have any effect on the world around him, but if they were to touch a piece of magnetic metal, that object would begin to glow in the lens that covered Rein's eye. Using this spell he continued down the path trying to hunt down any gear he could locate.

((OOC: Rein searching alone tries to use aeromancy to locate metal objects))

Rosalie and Kessler have been standing around for quite sometime. Kessler's spell had worn off. Leaving him standing without his rock coating as it dissipated. Rosalie is in a worse spot though. The bat has been attacking the girl over and over without any resistance!

    There is still hope though!
