Megathread - Terrasphere Speed Dating

  1. WUMPH. "Augh!"

    This was the sound of Destiny getting hit in the face with a pillow (which, contrary to expectations, was more disarming than one would think.) Particularly when you were jumping at somebody. Threw off the whole trajectory.

    "Aw, c'mon," she said once she'd rolled back up, rubbing her elbow where she'd knocked it on the corner of the bed. Guess I deserved that. Maaan! "A gal's gotta eat, cut me a break." Was it eating, or drinking? Honestly, the whole vampire-tooth-biting-drinking system was pretty flawed now that she thought about it-- things like vampire bats had to feed pretty slowly, lapping up blood from puncture-wounds.

    Well, now that he was onto her, Destiny wasn't sure how to proceed. With respect and courtesy for the other party, maybe even human decency? Gotcha. "Sorry we got off on the wrong foot. Lemme dust you off." She moved back in clumsily, starting off with good intentions but suddenly reminded again how very tasty he would be. "Mmmm... Nope, nope. Said I'd be good," she said, backing off again. "I'm Destiny, by the way. Hell, if we run into each other again once we're outta here I'll buy you a drink to make up for it." She wiped some beer off her hand and offered it.

    @Ash Vargold

  2. "Uh, yeah. I introduced myself like five seconds ago." Corvella played with her elongated fang, trying to control her vampiric urge to not suck the hell out of the boy in front of her. "It's Corvella, by the way." She extended her hand nonetheless for a shake.

    "Forgive me, but you don't seem like the type that would participate in this kind of event, speed dating and all. Why did you sign up?"
    She asked the red-haired teen in front of her.

    @Sean Poteitoku

  3. Whatever it was Yukisa said or did, despite his lack of hostile intents, it didn't bode well with Kaede. He tilted his head questioningly, a spark of confusion appearing in his golden-red eyes as the female's hands gripped his closest arm. It seemed he didn't quite realize the fact he had just broken into this "poor" girl's room.

    "Um-" he began muttering, but he was quickly cut off as his entire form was suddenly in the air above Kaede, and soon thereafter slammed into the wooden floor on the other side of the bed.

    The white-haired male let out a slightly pained grunt upon hitting the floor, however that appeared to be the extent of pain he felt, despite her knee going straight into the back of his skull and pressing his face further down.

    "H-Hey..." he mumbled, gulping slightly and giving the girl a nervous smile. "There's really no need for violence... can't we chat? I was honestly just hoping to make some friends..." A growl escaped his stomach, causing him to pause. "... and maybe get a bite to eat..."

    @Kaede Hoshi

  4. _____His words would fall to ears that did not care. All Kaede knew was some male was in a bedroom with her and the last time that happen she would rather not relive. Growling lightly before she let his words click in her head and she moved away, still clearly unhappy about the scene she was stuck in.

    "Try and bite me and you will find every bone in your body broken and turned into a pretzel."

    _____Kaede growled out her words before she sat down keeping a keenly peeled eye on the male. If anyone could see the scene they likely would feel bad for the male. Moving to slowly ease her frame she kept her guard raised. She truly wished she could have gotten to meet another woman in this scene.

    @Yukisa

  5. Well, that was interesting. Though not particularly convincing, it could offer her some insight into how vampires worked in this world. Information was power, and an opportunity to know more presented itself right before her. Of course, she didn't even know how vampires drank blood but hopefully it wasn't anything too invasive. And if it was, she would just deal with it then. Some things were worth a bit of discomfort. Looking back at Seigi, she said,

    "Very well, you may have some of my blood. But afterwards, I have some questions."

    It went unspoken that she also wanted answers for said questions but hopefully they could get this transaction over with and go back to their daily lives. And she could get a lock for her window. And maybe move places as well.

    @Seigi

  6. ''That won't be necessary. I am in a good condition, though some of my wounds might still benefit from further rest,'' she stated as she motioned to certain parts of her body where bruises, cuts or scars would've been visible had the magic behind the speed dating event not made them disappear. The scratches on each side of her head had been the most terrible of all, healed only by the very same person that saw it fitting to drag her out of her pitiful state by throwing her at a lot of strangers. ''It was my first battle against a beast this massive, but I have to thank that I was thrown at a boss during my first week in this game. It kinda helps to prepare.''

    ''You, however, seem like the type who would benefit from talking it out with a stranger. Someone who could, perhaps, offer a different perspective on the matter you haven't considered before?'' A change of subject, one no so subtle yet executed anyways. On her end, there wasn't much that could be possibly done other than to aimlessly wander around the world in search of the players she sought, weapons readied at all times to deal the proper punishment both males deserved for leaving her without previous notice. Even if it wasn't their fault, she'd make sure it felt that way.

    Portia bent her chest forwards, bringing her closer to the tiny player in order to give him her undivided attention, may he reveal the secrets of his heart to someone he probably would never see again after the event was over. Her lips drew themselves upward in a somewhat controlled smile, bearing her fangs for Hanno to see. ''May I have another bite? I am not fond of losing myself to uncontrollable thirst, I'm afraid.''

    @Hanno Futaba

  7. "Magic of the dead, eh?"

    Madison leaned forward a bit, a look of interest flashing across her face.

    "That's funny. When I picked my first three masteries, that's what I wanted to do. I wanted to grind until I could awaken Black Magic and become a necromancer." The witch let out a giggle. "And instead, I ended up gravitating towards Nature Magic. Funny how that works out, isn't it?"

    She took another sip of her ale. It was all she could do to keep her features from twisting in disgust at the bland flavor.

    "This beer's pretty shit," Maddy said as she swirled the swill around in her mug. "You'd think if they could afford all these grand illusions for these stupid dates, they could swing a couple cases of Shipping Up To Stokbon or something."

    Madison looked @Haru in the eye again--or tried to. It was kind of dark, after all. "Hey, y'know, if you want some help with Nature Magic or something, I'd be willing to help you out. I just hit Mastered-tier and awakened my Druid Form. Probably a couple things I could teach you, if you're up for it."

    The woman brought her mug up to her lips once more. Glancing at him over the rim of the mug, she darkly added, "The dark side of Nature or otherwise."

  8. The Faerin stared at the woman's scars. "You had it rough. Well..." He looked down at his own body. "I think I just don't have any scar because I was completely crushed into several Faerin pieces." Hanno frowned at his own word choices. Seeing the woman getting closer, the Faerin tilted his head until she made another blood request.

    'I suppose my blood is a very good drink.' He chuckled while uncrossing his arms and rolling up his sleeve again, offering another bite to the temporary vampire. "Sure, go on." Hanno nodded as he started to think, he didn't want to vent about friends problems or anything like that to someone that he didn't know very well yet, but there were other things that bothered him. Though those things were more about himself than his relation to other people.

    Now used at having a vampire draining his blood, the Faerin just began talking normally while the woman was satisfying herself. "There are a lot of things that bothered or are still bothering me since that incident... You will have to apologize me, but some of them I'd rather not talk to someone I don't know very well... So they are going to be a topic for another day." He looked at the window. "That battle was something that probably confirmed something to me that I was already believing it was true, that this game isn't just a game, it's too real for that... A lot of bad things happened when I died there, I almost lost friends, I felt very sad and frustrated about everything. Even about my own dreams and objectives."

    Hanno sighed. "Besides, death here have true consequences. It may not be as harsh as real life's death... But it sure isn't a very pleasing thing to happend. It's extremely traumatic, at least for me it was." He looked at the woman. "I'm not sure if you died on that battle or not, but if you didn't, I have something to ask you to do." The Faerin smiled weakly. "Do your best to not die, at all. Death should be your last option..." Hanno finished saying something that he should hear himself.

    @Portia Ahrens

  9. Sean didn't exactly know why he joined the speed-dating. He was a bit young to be looking for a girlfriend, and dating isn't about just making friends. He shrugged. "I'll be honest, I'm not sure." He looked around the room. It was very exquisite, with books. Ugh, books. "I guess I just want friends?"

    @Corvella

  10. Of course! Nobody would willingly agree to ge- wait what? The brunette agreed simply like that? "Thank you very much! My name is Seigi, by the way!" Seigi nodded with a bright smile as she crept closer to Velka. Didn't they meet somewhere before?

    With some heavy breathing and one hand on the smaller girls shoulder, Seigi locked eyes with Velka until, suddenly, she pulled out a straw! "I'm not some savage!" Before stabbing it into her neck.

    Slurp.
    Slurp.
    Slurp.

    Ah, so sweet. So delicious. This was truly the best. Did blood always taste so great? Slurp. Slurp. Slurp.

    The Hero continued....

    @Velka

  11. "I'd hardly think that Nature has a dark side at all. A brutal and violent one maybe, and perhaps a decrepit one as well. But dark? I'd say that the only source of light and dark in a place as great as the world would be the sun... or a lack of it." Haru steals a quick glance towards the window where rain thundered down.

    There is a fourth mug now- taken by none other than Haru who had finished his first in his ever-present thirst. He drinks, having lost reservations on chugging a while ago. "I'd love to. I've been looking for help. Other than one other so far- Miss Ashiore- nobody had been able to help me progress so far. Maybe my attitude has something to do with it...
    -Hey, so what's this 'druid form' like? Not that we could use our masteries at the moment."
    He glares softly over at his UI. What had even happened, anyway?"

    @Madison Freebird

  12. Maddy leaned back against the headboard and thought for a moment.

    "Honestly, I haven't tried Druid Form yet. I have traveled to the Emerald Garden, though. Quite beautiful. Breathtakingly so, actually. Just endless miles of trees and flowers and green. You have all the time in the world to work uninterrupted."

    A smirk crossed her lips. "It's great. I have no regrets awakening as a druid instead of a necromancer whatsoever."

    "But I'll tell you what. Let's add each other to our friends lists, and whenever you find yourself with some free time, shoot me a message and we'll meet up for some training, alright? I'm always down to help another Nature Mage out."

    ...and show them that there really is a dark side to all this green, she left unsaid.

    @Haru

  13. Dragging her chair closer to his, Portia sat beside Hanno in complete silence, allowing the boy to entertain her with the reasons behind his concern and many other things more. The vampire nodded once, sticking her bottom lip outwards as he refused her invitation to talk about what truly troubled him, but accepted it nonetheless. If someone didn't want to talk, then they shouldn't have to.

    Her arms reached out and took his nearest arm, which was the opposite of the one she bit last time, and her fangs soon pierced the skin again in an almost natural manner. As much as she disliked the idea of holding onto this appearance and condition for much longer, it came with quite a few perks of her own, commanding the brawler to do things she wouldn't normally do.

    ''I haven't died. Not yet, at least,'' she whispered against the warm flesh she'd drank from, her breath a caress meant to soothe the injury or the concerns of her fellow player. What she said was the whole truth to it, leaving out the major details about how many close encounters with death she had during her adventures. ''Death does have consequences but it's exactly why this whole experience is so enticing to some. You have actual choices and what you say, or do... It matters, and it stays with you.''

    ''Though I am no expert, I would recommend taking some time away from combat every now and then. This world has many wonders to offer and once you're so invested in becoming stronger, you'll wish you'd taken your time to discover your surroundings.'' An apologetic look was thrown in his general direction, the brawler being too embarrassed at this point in their meeting to consider muttering more and more apologies for a feature she had no control over.

    @Hanno Futaba

  14. "I'm game." A happy, sincere grin spreads across his face that accentuate his fangs. "I'm curious to explore the corners of what this world has to offer me." However the night rains down, Haru was happy with how this turned out in the end. He'd see what this woman had to offer in the future.

    If there was a dark side to this green world, he would greet it with wonder.

  15. Welcome to the Lonely Hearts Inn

    Was it mid kiss? Mid bite? Mid xxx? Was their partner still staring at them with vacant eyes? Were they just about to form a life-binding relationship? Were they finally going to tie the knot and get married under lightning and rain? Were they going to elope, turning this thread into an R-18 one for a few seconds before the FBI kick down the door and reveal that one of them had been secretly underaged? Or were they moments away from killing each other in a sadistically creative way?

    Who knew? The gods sure didn't.

    Who cared? The host sure didn't.

    With a snap of his fingers, all 21 individuals found themselves naked and glowing within the vast void of imaginary space, a few of them more disturbed than others. Before them, their ever-charming host, Yasha, applauded them in the impossible emptiness.

    Ooo, that was pretty spicy, wasn't it? Now, allow me to spout out some more repeatable dialogue as you get your heads straight and figure out whether or not this actually counts as a romantic encounter. To cut to the chase, no it doesn't. But you totally could, if you just swapped numbers! Maybe next time, keep that in mind, friends. Anyways, I'm sure you're all raring to go for the final round, so...well, I'll give you all a bit longer. Ladies, gentlemen, take deep breaths. Calm your beating hearts. Wipe the rain off your brow. Tell your raging b- Oh, excuse me. Anyways, Round Two was certainly fun, wasn't it? Had some spicy encounters? Did some raunchy bites? But, for the last one, I would recommend a little...subtlety. Now, if you're alllllll ready...everybody...clap your hands!

    Coinciding with the thunderous claps of 21 different loners, a flash of white spread through the room, the oriental host's smile the last thing they could see before they all found themselves falling, falling, falling into the blankness of the void. Was it an eternity? Or a blink of an eye? It was neither.

    The light faded away, replaced by classical music, soft, irrelevant chatter, and the smell of delicious food.

    'I’m always searching for something, for someone.'

    A bow dances on a violin, the musician crafting a story, his melody weaving alongside a piano, a viola, and a clarinet to for a harmonic symphony, one that fills your heart with yearning. It's a warm night out of the patio, and your heart pounds, throbs. A dinner on the night of a meteor shower, good food, good wine, and good music creating the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner date. You breathe. Close your eyes. You can hear no abnormality. You aren't stuck in any role. Everything is ok.

    You open your eyes. Nothing was insane, nothing was hilarious, nothing was plain stupid. Everything was going according to plan, and you feel absolutely fine.

    But...

    'Who are you?'

    The vessel was the same, but the puppetmaster, the soul, the actor...that had changed.

    As the meteor splits apart, tracing amber lines over the starstudded nightscape, you realize it.

    The characters may have been the same, but the players...the players had swapped completely, writers tasked with playing out a character that was not their own. Good luck. Try not to screw each other over too much~!

    Yasha Assist
    During this Round, whenever necessary, Yasha, the sexy, ponytailed host, can teleport from the shadows, depositing a tall flute of champagne. Maybe being drunk will make it easier to write another person's character. Maybe you're just doomed. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

    During this Round, at your command, you may call forth one catastrophic event to spice up this otherwise ordinary, peaceful scenario. The meteor can strike. The volcano can explode. The earth can quake. The tsunami can collide. The tornado can spin. Maybe the best way to avoid the awkwardness of this would be to just die instead of live in shame.

    During this Round, if it makes life easier for you, you can change the face of your date into someone else ONCE. Only the face changes, not the body, and they will be aware of the face change as well. Maybe it was a good idea at the time to slap Johnny Depp's face upon your date, but when Depp's got the face of a swashbuckling rogue but the body of a regular Japanese schoolgirl...wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. Yeah.

    House Rules
    During this Round, Player A, B, and C all have a single mastery: Illustrious Regular Human With No Noteworthy Traits, But At Least You Still Have Each Other For the Time Being And Aren't Struggling With Perpetual Loneliness At All Nope Ahahahaha.

    This Round ends on May 12th.
