Running low on money can be dangerous in this game. Felix was learning that lesson quickly. The winter was killer on him as he holed up in a hotel. He needed a change of pace soon. He needed a job or a quest to get him started. “Excuse me young man.” Felix turned to the sound of the voice. A middle aged human, NPC was speaking to him. “You seem a bit troubled and I could use some help.” Before Felix could make an answer his job notification dinged. With a weary sigh he opened the menu to check out the job specifics. Two needed to volunteer at a nursing home. Job entails gathering ingredients for for the residents and getting them to the supper table in one piece. It looked like a simple enough job. Without a second chance to think about it Felix hit the accept button. “Oh thank you for listening to my plight young man.” “Sure no problem-o!” Felix made sure to ile and be polite. Even he could remember NPC’s acted like actual people. They ate and functioned mostly like players. So why not build a positive reputation for himself. Deciding to take a nap, Felix curled up until someone else decided to take the job. His energy levels were in the mid range, so a small rest would be good. @Noah Krane
Hmm Stokbon was an interesting town it seemed. Noah walked around the narrow streets that ran like veins between the larger buildings and street. His hands were in his jacket’s pockets to keep warm. It seemed that the wind traveling through the buildings created a powerful gale that sent shivers down his spine. He had came to Stokbon with Dempsey and opted to go exploring on his own while she did her own thing. A simple cloth backpack slung on his back, carrying the few items that he had been able to acquire so far in the game. The most important of these items, at least in his opinion, was the mysterious egg that he started the game with a few days ago. From what he could tell these eggs belonged to random pets that would present themselves after so much time had passed. As Noah popped out of the corner of one of the streets he ran straight into an elderly man. “Oh sorry sir.” The older man seemed to be able to keep his balance and took a few steps back gazing over Noah. “It’s quite alright...though I could use some help if you are willing…” Before he knew it a screen popped up in front of Noah. Was this a quest? His very first quest at that! Noah gladly pressed the green button accepting the quest. “Come this way! We’ve already gotten one other volunteer, with the two of you we should be good to go!” Noah followed the man to a smaller building. Inside he saw a cat like man, similar to Dempsey, laying in a ball taking a nap. Was this the man he was supposed to be working with? Noah walked over to the man, crouched down and poked him. “Hey...I think it’s time to do this quest….you alive?” He waited to see if the man would stir before they would start this quest.[/COLOR] @Felix Michaelis
Felix felt a poke on his cheek, he rolled out of the curl mumbling to himself. "You think cat naps would be a lot more fun....." He rubbed his eyes blearily his computerized brain cells refining themselves. His brain making sense of his surroundings. Felix's eyes gazed at the guy in front of him. "Wow, this is one hot daddy." The red creeping into his cheeks a bit as he realized he said that aloud. Meh, I've said worse he thought. He got up stretching his slender body and flat tummy. His interface was merging with the game nicely. He did not have to pull up his screen to check he could feel the fact that he had more energy. "So I believe you have read the quest? I may not be much of a fighter so I hope you are. The name is Felix by the way." His eyes lingering on what was either a sword or another nice object sticking out of the stranger's pants. Felix did not have that much to start the quest with, he still wore his beginner's outfit. A pair of blue shorts, black boots, and a blue crop top like shirt. While learning to regulate his magic he learned he can constantly flow heat to warm himself up when needed. The downside is it does burn up his energy, making food, and sleep important; also he spontaneously catches on fire at times. Since the quest was already started Felix moved to get past the guy. Walking to back to the entrance. Tail lightly flicking back and forth, he turned back around for a second. "Well come on then big boy." He shot a wink and a flirtatious smile before heading to the forest. Following the first objective, he figured meat would be easier to gather. The Forest had a wide range of creatures to choose from. Felix closed his eyes as his cat ears twitched trying to focus on the sounds of nature. "L'esprit de feu se pose et purge. Explosivez une boule de flamme sur la cible. Chauffer, sear, gronder et griller. Venez de la flamme!" The spell fizzled upon finishing before blasting him back as a fireball launched out in the direction he was trying to lob it at. The rustling grass nine feet to his left.
What a strange cat guy...Is first words to Noah was calling him a hot daddy...Noah was unsure to be flattered or concerned. This was the first potentially gay guy hes met in the game. While he was not bad looking, he was unsure how he felt about an animal-human hybrid calling him daddy. Though the thought of being called daddy wasn’t such a turn off. Noah smiled and chuckled a bit. “Well hello there sleepy head. Should I go fetch you a glass of warm milk to help you wake up or are you ready to get the show on the road?” The cat’s nap must have given him the energy he needed. He was a spry, young thing, jumping up and bouncing his way out of the building the moment he woke up. Noah felt the cat’s gaze at his crotch, causing his face to gain a tint of red for a moment. This was an odd little kitty that was for sure. As the man started to nearly leave Noah in the dust, he finally snapped out of it and pursued the boy off into the woods. How this would end was beyond Noah, but he hoped he could log off today without the dreaded wave of guilt washing over him. The boy had to be young, his characteristics were childlike, as was his behavior. Was he even 18? Even in a virtual world, there still was an age of consent right? Noah could be thrown in virtual prison for having this impure thoughts, even if they were fleeting ones that had no real depth to them. As he followed the boy Noah pulled p the quest’s information on his palm screen. While it seemed easier than he expected, it was rated at a medium level. He was curious to see if him and this cat boy would be able to handle it on their own. Right as the two entered the woods the cat boy started mumbling jibberish. Noah stood there wondering if he was just insane or if his system was glitching. It was when his hands started to glow red that he realized that this cat was able to utilize magic. Noah had yet to cross paths with a mage in the game yet so he was quite curious how it worked. The boy finished his spell and aimed it towards some brush that was but a few feet from them. As the fire shot off in the directions and made a loud boom sound a pair of rabbits jumped, freighted by the sudden blast of fire. While Noah was no expert in his rogue or sword mastery, he was able to move quicker than the frightened beasts. With a few quick movements his sword was quickly out from its sheath. With little effort he was able to cleanly slice off one of the rabbit's head, while the other scampered away. “Damn...well at least we got one of them huh?” @Felix Michaelis
Felix picked himself off the ground. The fireball earlier managed to knock him over, it was enough for him to see the rabbits leaping from the bush. The swordsman took care of them pretty quickly. The man showed impressive speed and from what he can tell superior sword handling skills. The thought that he started this without actually giving his name occurred. "I am sorry. I forgot to introduce myself in a rush to get started I forgot my manners." He stepped close the swordsman, feeling his own sword grow. "The name is Michaelis. Felix Michaelis. I could also answer to Felix the cat or Lucky." At this point, he was standing pretty close. "I must admit I like the way you handled that sword. It may not have been gigantic but you knew how to use it. " Felix knew this was a game and he was still a bit mortified on the inside. Being flirty here was an empty joy. As if liking a person in the game can translate to his real world. Felix would never have the courage to look at let alone flirt with another man. "So you will have to show me how to use your sword.... I mean a sword if I pick up the sword skill. For now, This should be enough meat." Indicating at the size of the rabbit, the rabbit was larger than a lot of other animals Felix have seen before. This was more of a small deer in his book than an actual rabbit. Felix wondered how he would cook it, his cooking mastery was close to passable. While not an outright victory in the way of culinary experiences it passed for actual food. The nightmare of feeling like his food wanted nothing more than to die from the horrible masterpiece it had become passed. Now it was more crunchy rice and tasteless meat. "Mind if I use this a second." Felix grabbed the sword before turning to grab the rabbit. While he could not use it as a weapon, Felix could equip it with intention of using it as a kitchen knife. The weird angle in which he tried cutting and the low level of his skills, only a quarter of what he cut out was usable meat as far as he knew. Felix held the sword out for his companion to take back. "Ready to head back? I have to help cook this up."
As Noah crouched down to wipe his blade off in the grass, so that the blood would not set in and rust it, the fireball throwing, cat boy approached him. Noah noticed that the boy obviously was unaware of the personal bubble thing, he stepped right up beside Noah, to the point his crotch was close to Noah’s own face. That was when he noticed something stirring underneath...He introduced himself as Felix Michaelis or as his friends called him Lucky. Why he was titled that name, Noah could only speculate. Noah stood up from cleaning off his blade and met the boy at eye level with a slight grin. This kid was dangerous. If something like this happened to him in the real world, well Noah might have died of shock/humiliation. Felix started to compliment Noah’s swordsman skills, dropping yet another sexual innuendo. Perhaps he should throw them back at this kid. He had heard that the game could stimulate a multitude of experiences...perhaps it could even stimulate sexual ones...Though he was still nervous about the fact that Felix might be a kid in real life and that was against the law. Noah placed his hand around the cat’s shoulder and pulled him in while at the same time having a rather large grin on his face. “Of course, I’m sure you could handle a blade like mine just fine.” Two could play this game. He quickly released the side hug after that comment and was about to put his sword up, when Felix all of a sudden grabbed it from his hand and the rabbit at the same time. “Ah...sure, just as long as you make sure to handle it right and clean off my sword when you're done working it...I mean working with it.” He gave him a wink and followed the boy back to the old folks home to see what sort of recipe he’d whip up.
