Connection. The portal was a success. Preparation level 8. Ensure all needs are taken care of here. Second chance level 2.

Stepping into a dark room filled with a moldy stench. The group would find themselves directly down the sloped passage that leads outside. The light of the sun pouring in from it and some beams illuminating the ruin here and there from thin cracks above.

The room was more than wide enough for all of them, a path of slippery stone formed a path through the room The floor of old mossy stone rose up out of the water. This place was either flooded or intentionally built this way. Due to the way the holes of water were arranged. The stone tiles floating in the water forced those going through to take a very long, round about way to the other end. The water had sudden shifts in it's ferocity. Sometimes speeding up and splashing unto the tiles. Other times silent and still.

So... this is where little Blank got beaten to a pulp by tentacles huh? HAHAHAHA! If only you had MY magical aptitude! Such a shame, but have no fear little mage. I the TYRANT WITCH shall show you how it's done! HAHAHAHA!

Taking several steps, Trizzaldi almost slipped and quickly regained her balance. Looking back with a glare at the party she shrugged it off and made her way onwards.

Idiocy level 9. Do not rush ahead Trizzaldi. I have picked up signs that the tentacles here belonged to a much larger creature. Potentially a young or demi Kraken. Precaution level 7. There is also signs of various moving mana energies. The size match that of Elementals. Puzzling level 10. There is something else there. On a deeper floor. I cannot get a adequate lock on it.

Silence for a moment, as Overwatcher's voice faded. Trizzaldi thrust her staff forward into the stairway that would lead to floor 2, the floor that Blank had been beaten back on several months ago.

HA! Elementals are nothing to me! Let's get going peons! Lady Verm has decided I need to babysit when I could be doing much bigger and BETTER things! ...Or...

She turned around and tapped her staff in her hands.

Do you need to get ready? This is a good time for weaklings to do stuff like that so... go on. Before I get bored waiting peons!

    Camp Area
This floor is small and the tentacles that had tormented Blank are no where to be seen. Making this a great place to set up for what is ahead. Alphabet Chocolate was the best support, no questions asked! Not even Cain Darlite would be able to compete against her for the title; moral support is absolutely essential for any operation and Alpha knew how to give it. "Go, go, go! Go team go! We're the best, this dungeon is gonna blow! Trizzy's yellow, Icy can make it snow, and Celes looks like a Van Gogh!" she threw the bright red pompoms into the molded water, making a decent splash as she jumped up a few times, bright magical sparks fizzing out of her fingers.

She clasped Celestine and Blank's shoulders, giving them a bit of her power. Time slowed, their bodies quickened, and Alpha gave a thumbs-up and grin. "We're the A-Team, guys! We're gonna eat octo-pie and kraken-lackin fish cakes! We're gonna...uh, do whatever it is we're here for..."

She paused, shifting her eyes nervously between the impatient Trizzaldi and the ice-cold (get it?) Blank. Slowly, she craned her head closer to Celestine's ear. "Uh, what're we doing here again?" she whispered urgently as she walked forwards with slow, deliberate steps. Although awfully excited by the whole thing (who didn't want to go adventuring and spelunking with a group of dear companions?) she didn't want to look particularly dumb or uncool in front of Trizzaldi and Blank. Celestine was fine—the girl wasn't as judgmental as the other two (a tad bit friendlier too)—but Trizzaldi and Blank would probably have her throat (she'd been hesitating about asking questions for a while now, wanting to seem knowledgeable; the Overwatcher's echoing words went unheard as she suffered from the internal conflict). "Celes," she hissed quietly and, as gentle as she could, she jabbed the girl's side with her elbow to signify the utter importance of her question.

Celly wandered through the portal absentmindedly, nearly bumping into their adorable NPC magician due to her lack of focus. Shaking her head clear, Cel continued to mope forward, her mind in a completely different world. It was only when Sprinkles piped up with her antics that she finally got dragged back into the moment.

    "Van Gogh...?"

Celestine raised her hand to feel the fluffy triangles topping her head. Yep: they were both still there. Maybe he dyed his hair blue or something? Celes really had no idea. History was so boring.

    "If you are saying so..."

Celes returned to her spacing out for a short moment before Sprinkles yanked her back to ‘reality’ with a question, followed by a little jab to her side.

"O-oh... umm...." She pondered the question. It’d be a lie if she claimed to honestly know exactly why they were here, but she whispered back her best answer anyway, "I am thinking we are trying to do a grab of the shinies. Those ‘chaos’ shinies Vermsy keep doing the talkings about."

Cel glanced over at Sprinkles for an uncomfortably long moment that was probably even longer for her (time magic shenanigans, after all). It was a moment that, in most cases, would’ve been filled with Celes bursting a personal bubble and glomping someone, but instead she just stood there hesitantly for several seconds.

"Here..." she said, finally breaking the awkward silence between them by drawing out a swoopy, dark, mage script in the air with her magic ring. Once finished, the script hung in the air as Celestine reached into a pouch resting by her waist to remove a small, glass vial labeled ‘Francine.’ Uncorking it, she released the small little wisp into the script where the light appeared to weave itself into a ghostly, glowing glove. Cel promptly slid it over Sprinkles’s hand.

"I will do you the tutorial of quickness for the ghostie handling," Cel began. No doubt Sprinkles could already feel the glove trying to test out this new arm. "The step of firstness is to do your ghostie a knowing. This is Francine." She pointed to the glove. "Francine is the mischevious faerin who likes herself the dancing, the instruments of strings, and the woods. Though she does not do bears a liking: one did her an eat, which is why she is now the ghostie."

Cel gave Sprinkle's hand a pat, proving that the situation could get even more awkward than it already was. "Though you cannot do her the talk without the magic of ghosties, maybe you can do her a bonding in the other ways. Ghosties can do you lots of the helpings if you are working together."

Blank stared at the ceiling above her with a thousand yard stare. Ever since her encounter with the Goblin, and subsequent rescruection she had felt a twisted combination of anxiety, and listlessness. The battle itself was still a fog in blank's mind, but she could still feel the odd numbness of losing her nose and teeth. The feeling prevailed her every thought until she either stared into a mirror, or moved her hand to feel that the features were still there and intact. Eventually Magi had stopped by, giving her an odd half organic, half clockwork beating heart. She said it was Blank's reward for the battle, and summarized the rest of the encounter for her. Blank listened half interested in hearing what had happened, instead her gaze was glued to the artifact in her hand. It remained motionless in her hand, but she could feel the nodes of magic, stretching, searching for a source of magic. A wiggle of her finger sent it the breath it needed to come back alive, beating, once, twice, three times, before becoming dormant once again. "Odd..." she decided before putting it away, and returning to bed.

During her sleep, her dreams were plagued with images of the device, simultaneously haunting her, and goading her for more power. Eventually, it forced her from her bed, and into the library heart in hand. Burying her nose in ancient texts, she sought out an explanation for its purpose. While she was unable to determine the reason for it to be designed as a heart, but she did discover the use of its nodes. It was designed to attach to a magical tool or weapon, upon which it would draw the user's magic, or willpower respectively. A secondary node on the device would return the energy spent back to the user, allowing them to increase a spell or attack in an instant. To put it simply it seemed dangerous, there were limits to most things for reasons, this item would suprass them ignoring any cost to do so. Blank wasn't sure why at the time but the thought of doing so brought a smile upon her face.

Several days later she had recieved a message from Vermilion. It seemed her along that annoying cat Celes, and equally annoying Alphabet, were going to be tasked with the aggravating Trizz to find yet another fragment of chaos. They would be headed to the dungeon she had explored with Magi long ago. A wave of fear breifly past over her as she remebered the events that had occured. For some reason the rose's power did not activate, but the fear was crushed on its own without the help of the void. Something new had awakened within her as a cruel smile worked its way across her lips

Blank walked silently into the dungeon room after the overwatcher had gone through the effort of taking them there. It had been some time since she had last been here, and the memories of her previous encounter played like a film reel in her head as the others chatted. Magi and she had first met in this dungeon; it was here that they had shared a couple of victories snatched from the jaws of defeat until that monster had appeared. What had it been anyway? Her head hurt, and the image was foggy, but eventually, it came to her. She remembered a misshapen creature with three heads each of a different type. A goat, a lizard, and a lion. "A Chimera..." Blank said in response to Overwatcher's comments, "We handled the elementals, and the Kraken. It was the Chimera's appearance that stopped our progress, that's likely what lies at the end."

Things had changed since then though. Blank had truly gone through quite a few ordeals since the event, and in turn, she had grown even stronger, replacing her rags with actual magical garb. Even the once makeshift staff she had carried had been replaced by an ebony wood enchanted staff, the tip of which had been augmented by that pulsating clockwork heart the color of flesh. These changes were superficial compared to the ones that occurred within her though. She'd become stronger, more courageous, more prepared.

Blanks hands trembled on her staff in excitement

She'd wipe the floor with this dungeon, and make its inhabitants suffer for the humiliation it had put her and Magi through.

Blank shot an icy gaze at Triz before walking forward; her steps hurried by the words of Alpha. She didn't need to waste any time preparing for the fight that was to come; she had been preparing for months. A blue aura began to form around her, one that chilled the very air, sending small particles of ice flying aimlessly about her. "It's time to get frosty," she said with a visiocus grin.

    Cycle 2

    [THEME]
Making their preparations, the party with Trizzaldi in front, made their way down to floor 2. Blank may have remembered this particular floor. The long hall stretched out before them was lined with pillars that were mostly shattered. Possibly from many years of rot and decay of the stone or perhaps other reasons. The distant waterfalls, going various directions rather than just downwards made the sight quite surreal and told of the magical powers that may have been at play in building this underriver ruin.

And again were the Elementals. Watery sphere's hovering about the hall lined with water. They seemed to be like guards of sorts. Passing between the pillars and stopping only briefly before resuming their movements. Far to the other side of the hall was a resting Chimera. One of the more dangerous beasts a adventurer could encounter. It's lizard, goat and lion head all had their eyes closed. But the snake tails writhed about. Showing it was very aware of it's surroundings.

Water Elements? I never did get that.... WAIT NO! HAHAHAHA! I am a elemental master! This is nothing. Let's get through this quick peons!

Water Elementals are best avoided by Blank, unless you have a alternative approach? Consider using lightning on them Celestine, or breaking down their mana with a arcana magic. Danger level 7 from the Chimera. It is not going to let you pass. Kill it.

Trizzaldi took a step forward and thrust her staff forward even moreso, only to stop as the Overwatcher spoked again. Urgh, she is such a pain in the rear!

There are signs of numerous Water Elementals in the water nearby. Caution level 6. Just keep moving.

Moving forward, Celestine couldn't help but take a moment just to appreciate the wonder that came from waterfalls that didn't quite know how to fall properly. Were they even called waterfalls at this point? They should really be called watermeanderinwhateverdirectionifeellikes. Too bad that sorta thing wasn't Scrabble-legal or she'd actually be decent at the game. Regardless of how she managed to use them to butcher the English language, they were still pretty mesmerizing to watch. Almost too mesmerizing. Luckily, they had their loli telepath to snap them back into focus.

"Mmyep. I can do them a zap."

Rushing forward towards the nearest elemental she could find, Celestine's finger flew through the air faster than she'd thought possible, leaving behind a mage script with flashed out of existence. Celestine aimed a finger gun towards the target and unleashed a somewhat underwhelming explosion of electrical energy towards the... water balloon... thing.

"Um... I might be needing a help here," she admitted, calling back to the others. "That was not the best of the zaps I was doing the hope for."

"C'mon Fran!" Alpha beckoned the wisp over with the curl of her finger, quickly weaving through the muddled floor and broken pillar. As Blank prepared a spell, Alpha felt safe in leaving Celestine to her own devices. The girl may have had asked for help but it looked as if Blank was ready to finish the slime off anyway. Fran's (short for...what was the name Celestine gave her again?) presence seemed to invigorate her and she felt like she could jump out of her skin any second now.

With a long somersault, she hopped behind the water slime to her right and, with a grin, poked into its watery flesh with her dagger. She briefly wondered about the mechanics of actually harming a literal blob of water with a pointy object (and how that worked) but it seemed to have had done its trick and, flicking the bits of goo stuck on her blade's hilt, Alpha couldn't help but give a proud, maniacal laugh. "Bwahahahahaha!" she crowed, cackling with her fingers clawed up to the ceiling. Her neck craned back, clearly giving the image that this particular display of wild laughter was well-practiced in her room in front of a mirror. "I was behind you the ENTIRE TIME!" she squealed, as if that was the funniest joke ever. A tear pricked at her eyes, rolling off to join the rest of dirty pool circling the area.

    "I. Am. Ninja!"

Her attempt to pull Fran into a hug failed as her hand phased through the transparent spirit.

HAHAHAHA! Time to show how it's done! Don't get in my way peons!

Regardless of the Overwatcher telling her not to charge forward... she charged forward.

Luckily, Trizzaldi caught sight of Alphabet's attack on a Elemental and a smug look crossed her face. If she took the most kills here she would definitely be recognized as Vermillion's greatest ally! These lowly peons would just feed her glorious victories! She wouldn't let them out do her, that was for sure!

HAHAHAHA! Behold my power over lightning you stupid... uh... bubble!

Raising her staff she chanted, her lips moving far faster than any normal person. Then she pointing her Solar Tyrant Staff at the Elemental as a bolt of lightning struck the area and spread in all directions.

Blanks' eyes narrowed on the water elemental some distance away, slowly she brought forth her staff preparing to freeze it in place when overwatcher's comment halted her spell. "Avoid the elemental? What why? Because it's made of my precious element of choice? Tcht, I am a better mage than... whatever created that thing! I'm sure if I tried I could freeze it, maybe even control it to some extent! Hmpf!"

As Blank scolded the odd acting girl, Celestine strode confidently as if unaware the two were arguing, sending a bolt of lightning from her fingertip, and zapping the seemingly gelatin creature. Blank squinted at the technique as it hit the blob and realized what a mistake not using electricity would have been.

After a loud 'Harumpf!' directed towards overwatcher Blank quickly made her way in front of Celestine with a grin. "Fu fu fu, watch how a TRUE elemental mage can operate! Ice isn't my only gimmick! BEHOLD! Spirits of air hear my call and come forth, send this pathetic misshapen failure of an ice spell back to the realm from which it came! Nighttime Buzz!" As Blank chanted a cacophony of buzzing could be heard coming from the air around the elemental. "Fufufu! What you're hearing is the presence of my wind nymphs singing in harmony, while its beautiful to them, its deadly to you!" The buzzing grew louder, as static electricity began to form, surrounding the elemental, covering it with small arcs of electricity, causing it to wiggle and writhe uncontrlablly before it fell to the ground a puddle of its former self.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm winter mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings. These are a few of her favorite things.

Everything was swirly and Alpha giggled. Fran circled around her head and she couldn't help but reach out and try to grasp the spirit from where she laid, knocked back from the elemental's razor whip. "Pretty," she moaned, eyes glazed as Fran multiplied before her very eyes. One Fran, Two Frans, Red Fran, Blue Fran. So many Frans.

Alpha turned her head back to look over at Trizzaldi, Blank, and Celestine. They all looked so happy and Alpha waved lazily in support, briefly forgetting that her arms were holding her up as she dropped once again to the floor, her cheek smashed against the cold platform.

That'd bruise, she was sure. But she couldn't help but bark out a laugh. There wasn't anything funny, not really, but her insides tickled and, for an instant, life itself looked silly. The ceiling was painted blue and the skies were red and the grass was a whole lot of sparkling colors. With glitter. Pretty, pretty glitter.

Alpha caressed the floor, imagining it was grass. Glitter was nice.

Blank stood over the fallen elemental with a smile, before hearing the sounds of combat to the south of her. It seemed the elementals weren't going to go down with a fight, as they began to shoot concentrated water from their midsections, "Oh yea! I forgot to warn you guys; they can shot water at you look out!" It was a good thing they had her here to give her expert advice.

Unaware of the elemental slowly appearing from the water behind her, Blank took several steps towards Trizz, who was the closest ally under attack. "Me and @Celestine got this one Trizzaldi, go help Alphabet!" She waved her hand before her summoning forth her invisible wind spirit friends once again. "Come forth again and show this blob what it means to be as free as the wind!" The spell was short, but most of the time the spirits ignored her anyway. Rather than bothering generating any sort of electricity they sprang forth, darting head first into the gelatinous elemental's body, taking out large chunks as they did so. Slowly but surely the wind sprites managed to widdle down the creature to half its size, its bodily fluids, covering the ground before it. "Now Celes!" Blank called out, "Hit it with your laser!"

Trizzaldi blocked the spiraling water blade with her cape. Lowering her arm she snapped at Alphabet harshly.

Hey ninja or whatever you called yourself! Stop goofing off and get to WORK! I got ATTACKED here!

Then came Blanks... order? That had damn hell not be! Perhaps she just knew how incredible and helpful Trizzaldi could be. IF she felt like it!

Tsk, I can clear this whole place by myself! Give advice to someone WHO NEEDS IT like the napping joke over there!!

Obviously annoyed with the inadequacy of these fools. the Tyrant Witch raised her hand and her staff in the other. Closing her eyes she chanted

Energy gathered from the gateways between dimensions. That which has no form yet comes to be through the power of mana itself. Purest magic power incarnate! UNLEASH UPON MY FOES! TRIZZALDI IMPULSE!

A small rip in space appeared in front of her as dozens of orbs of energy spewed forth and spread over the hall in front of her. Rapidly colliding with the Elementals in it's path.

Satisfied with the destruction of the water blob, Celes continued on to the next one, only really realizing @Blank’s invitation to finish one off before it’s too late.

"Lasers? I am not having the lasers..." she called across the hall!

She seemed quite confused on that. How hard was it to tell a laser apart from a zap anyway? They weren’t even close. Turning to the elemental in front of her, Celestine worked her magic ring, whipping up several storm clouds which promptly unleashed a barrage of bolts into the blob of watwr. One after the other, until the blob finally stopped.... doing whatever water blobs do.

    Attack Water Elemental E
    (88 + 50 + 30) * 2 = 336
