Private - False or True? Spare or execute?

  1. _____The Yladain was not expecting such a bold claim within her network of information. A male who dared to claim himself the King of the Yladain, did he even know the burden a king had in the current times? Did he, chose to follow the same foolish mindset of the ‘King of players’ Astor? Her eyes glowing with slight annoyance as the woman before Kaede continued to explain the man’s claims and what they could about them. Once they finished and took their small gold for the given information The mage rose from her chair, her in game-father looking over and waving the guard to halt from letting the next in before he spoke.

”Seems that has you stirring, what is wrong with someone taking the spot… we have not heard from our true queen in some time… the people could use hope and a leader.”

”That might be true, but there is no say this person is what the people should look to for replies and protection. Many of our people thought the same from King Astor, and now we are at risk of getting pushed back to the threats to the north because of his foolish rash choice without much proper planning.”

Kaede clicked her fingers along her blood crystal spear as it glowed with blue flames within the dark red jagged gem.

”If this rumor heeds truth it would be wise to make sure the people can trust him, or at the least he be used until a proper replacement is found. But should he so foolish as to follow the same steps as King Astor…”

Slowly spinning her weapon before she slammed the dull end against the ground with force.

”I will personally strike him down before he can lead the people into despair or suffering any further.”

_____Without another word or chance for her Father to advise against her choice she moved to leave the room as the next guest entered the chamber. Waving to her personal attendant before whispering some words and moving to head to the last known location of the supposed ‘king of Yladains’ to judge, or execute was simply how the man was viewed by the woman who could see the future, and tell roughly if someone lied.

_____As she arrived at one of the few remaining towns within the Yladain’s homelands she stood out. A black and red wolf walked to her right, and the crude spear on her back. Her black Robes Likely making most who did not already know the woman seem like a villain. However the few people who had met Kaede before seemed both relaxed she was there, but unease. Afterall, she often only showed herself when danger lurked around the corner.

  2. Yladia, the ancestral home of the forest elf race of people that Galadion and chosen to play as when he first dove into the virtual world of Terrasphere Online, at first it had just been a whim of his as he had always had a deep love of elven culture and lore in the real world. You see in the real world he was a fantasy book writer so when he had gotten word of this game he just knew that he had to play it, I mean what better what to really understand the characters that he brought to life in his books that to live the lifestyle that they did, to experience first had the thrill of the adventure, to see and explore places unknown, the excitement right before a big fight.

But his time in this majestic world, virtual or otherwise, had begun to change. He may have originally chosen the Yladian race on a whim but now it meant so much more to him, and the more he learned about the elven race of people the more he cared about them. He developed such a deep affection for them that as of lately he had been working long and hard to make Yladia a place that could once again be inhabited by its ancient citizens, and maybe it was presumptuous of him to do so but he had even gone so far as to begin calling himself the Yladian King.

Galadion had sent out a messaged asking in and all of the Yladian Player Characters to join him in his endeavor to restore Yladia to its former glory. He even hoped to one day soon be able to establish a small town for that the Non-Player Character Yladians could also return to their home as well, but these were but pipe dreams if he could not earn the respect and support of the Yladian people and this is where Galadion found himself pondering just how to accomplish that very goal. He had elected to stay at a inn at one of the very few towns that still remained within Yladia, with his long silvery white hair and elegant white robes with silver designed upon its shoulders, he had a tendency to stand out in a crowd.

At that particular moment in time Galadion was slowly making his way down the street back towards the inn that he had been staying in, he was returning from a particularly long stay in the wilderness where he had been exploring. Almost every waking moment that he had within the game was spent within the borders of Yladia trying to learn more about it and unlock the secrets that he would need to make it whole again, and it was during the walk back to the inn that he seen her. A female Yladian dressed in all black and if he was being honest, kind of intimidating looking, he could tell from everything about her that this female was no NPC or if she was she was the most terrifying NPC that Galadion had come across to date.

From the way that she dressed she looked like she was there to cause trouble, Galadion scanned the area and noticed that there were quite a few NPCs in the area which caused him to frown. If the two of them ended up in a fight, the ones that would it would hurt the most would be the towns people and this was something that he needed to avoid at any cost. Deciding to see what the female was doing there Galadion slowly made his way over to her and smiled slightly "Hello there, I am Galadion and if you don't mind can I ask what you're doing here? I hope its not to cause trouble for these people, they already have more than their share of troubles as it is"

  3. _____Slowly blue eyes moved from the general area to the person who addressed her. He mostly matched the information she had, and as her eyes turned pure black and she began digging around in the future it only confirmed he was the person she came out of her way to meet sooner rather then later. Spear unclipped from her back as she set the base to the ground and it glowed a faint blue inside the red while she looked him over.

"Galadion, the one who dares make false claims to be the king of the Yladain people. What gives you the right to say such things? What makes you different from others who try to abuse the void left while our queen is amiss?"

_____Her tone was sharp and hostile for clear reasons. She disliked nobles, even her own father drew on some on that hatred in the past. She was not one to enjoy the nobles that currently ruled and simply seemed to ignore the people that served and help build their castles and fund their lavish parties. She was here to be the male's judge, jury, and should it come to it executioner or partial adviser.

"I will warn you now FALSE king Galadion, everything you say and do from this moment will either become your downfall, or possible chance of rising higher. Should i dislike your words and relies to the questions I ask..."

Slowly Kaede aimed the spear skyward, a purple beam ripping up into the sky from the tip before it exploded far above covering the entire town in shadows and the shock-wave felt even at the ground. Moving the spear to point directly at Galadion.

"The next will be aimed direct at you."

  4. Galadion stood there and watched the female, every instinct in his body screamed that she was dangerous and that he should get as far away from her as he possibly could. Ignoring his instincts however Galadion watched slightly as her eyes changed becoming completely solid black as if she had been possessed by a demon from the show Supernatural, it was this action that caused him to take a single step away from her and readied himself for anything. When she reached back and pulled the spear that she had been carrying upon her back free Galadion, with a flick of his wrist suddenly had a pale white wand in his grip and his eyes narrowed slightly, his optics moving away from the female to the houses and people around him.

A fight was something that he couldn't allow to happen within the borders of the town, it would mean the destruction of this town and the ruin of the lives of all those who lived here. These people were already barely scraping by as it was, he couldn't allow their lives to be made any harder because someone had decided that they didn't like his actions or his claiming to be the new Yladian King. As he stood there looking at her Galadion watched as she fired her magical energy blast into the sky, the shock-wave from the resulting explosion could be felt even within the earth under his feet so when she lowered her spear and pointed it at his chest he slowly began to back away from her and towards the outskirts of the town.

He wasn't retreating because he was afraid of her but because he knew for a fact that if she released another blast like that upon him while he was still in the town, forget about just destroying their homes, more than likely every NPC Yladian in the town would die along with him. He shook his head as he looked at her and continued to back away from the town "Queen is amiss? What kind of Queen disappears on her people in their most dire time of need? I don't see anyone else out here trying to make these peoples lives easier, trying to restore their homeland so that the Yladian people can return to their ancestral home. Maybe I am nothing more than a False King as you put it, but I am the one thats out here, trying to bring hope to these people, bring them a better life and if that means that I should die well then..." finally coming to a stop Galadion spread his arms wide as he looked at the female before him "Go ahead and kill me, but I will tell you this. I will not stop trying to make a better future for the Yladian race"

  5. "I care not who sits on the throne, only if they chose to make a throne of people's agreement, or if they dare a throne made out of the people who lives fell to build it. You already show that despite claiming to wish to help, are willing to doom half the town."

_____Kaede slowly moved her spear to her back once more. The male decided to stop when only half the people would be saved from the explosion, not accounting the shock-wave could kill others on the side of town he chose to move farther away from. As her eyes returned to normal Kaede waved her hand for the male to get closer so she did not have to shout for him to hear her or vise versa.

"If I could find the queen I would be having this same talk with her right now. What I need to know from you, should the queen return what reason should i have to back you instead of the queen... outside the fact she is a woman and I personally dislike men a great deal already."

_____Kaede felt no reason to without her own words, she clearly struck fear into the male, or at the least made it clear she could easily end his life should he try to step on a landmine with her. She came here to test him, and that also meant how he would act if someone would so easily call half the city simply collateral damage. But from they eyes that saw every possible future, such a thing was a small price if this man turned out like one future she had seen among millions.

  6. Galadion slowly stopped his retreat and stood there looking at the woman, she was making absolutely no sense to him. Here she was proclaiming that he was willing to let half of a town be destroyed but yet she was the one who was completely destroy the entire town and kill everyone inside its borders so long as it meant getting him to stop claiming to be a King. Was she mad, maybe life inside this virtual world had driven her insane.

He slowly made his way closer to her when she motioned for him, he felt it best to indulge the woman for now since that would probably be the safest course of action for the people who lived in the town. When he was close enough that they could talk without having to shout he came to a halt but he kept his guard up, not for a second would he allow himself to relax around this woman. Galadion shook his head as he looked at the woman before him and sighed slightly "You seem to be under the impression that I want a throne just for the sake of being able to boss people around, and you would be wrong. I started on this course because with every passing second that I spend in this world I care about the Yladian people more and more. They are beaten and broken, scattered the to the winds and all the corners of the this Earth, I just want to bring them hope and return them to the home of their ancestors."

Galadion turned his back on the female as he looked around the town slightly, a small smile upon his face "I mean, look at this place. Yladia is a wasteland, each of its regions extremely dangerous to live in but yet here they are, toiling day after day to make a meager life for themselves. This is admirable to me", turning around Galadion faced the female once again "You said I was willing to allow half the town to be destroyed and you could not be more wrong. YOU are willing to let half of the town to be destroyed. Before you got here I was minding my own business, lending these people aide where I could and then you show up. Unhappy because I have stepped up to lead a leaderless people in their time of need and so you threaten me."

Galadion shook his head as he looked at her before a long and heavy sigh escaped his lips "Perhaps it was presumptuous of me to claim to be the new Yladian King but here I am, working for their love and respect. Working towards being what a true King should be and I am sorry if you think I am unfit to lead these people or unfit to be a King but that is what I intend to do, no matter what you plan to do to me" standing there silent for a second Galadion stared at the female for a few moments as if he was deep in thought but said nothing.

  7. "Well you talk a lot like most politics, and I will clear this up. You could have very well kept trying to lead me away from the people, yet you chose to stop where half could be caught in the mess made should this turn into your execution."

_____Kaede moved her arms to her sides for a moment before she moved to cover her mouth as she yawned. Being serious seriously sucked when she could be out playing sailor with a fair maiden, or cops and robbers, or simply making out with one. Grumbling at how she still felt the need to deal with what few 'nobles' rose from the broken cracks in the earth. Waving a finger to the area around them as she yawned again before speaking.

"They can't go back home, not because they don't have a leader, but because they don't have the strength and might to reclaim their home from the demons to the north. I've fought several advance parties just to keep this town. Even on my good days it takes everything to get them to fall back..."

____Kaede slowly moved her sleeve from her right arm, countless scars lined her exposed skin from the battles she underwent, and the cost of her magic when she used every part of it. The Yladian's had been left without aid in the fight for the north, that was why they lost their homes, why they struggled to stay united. She wanted the same thing as the male did, though slightly different since Kaede just wanted to see some of the famous spot her father had tried to detail to her.

"Even if you could unite all the Yladain once again, save the ones trapped and tortured in other lands, train them as best they can learn... it would not be enough to stop the danger they would face while moving to reclaim their home. It would simply subject them to the constant struggle to hold whatever they get back... deaths and suffering."

Kaede moved slowly to find a wall to sit down against as she got ready to speak more.

"This is to say we only would have to worry about the demon threat, the people would be weaker then they are here from the battles and with the hostile standings of those around us here we would be stuck with threats to all sides eventually. I have seen that road in countless ways... I refuse to let you simply try to subject the people to that future so i am willing to speak that foresight to you Galadion."

_____She glared to the male, she was seemingly convinced his intent was pure so far, and now she was trying to help guide him to a path that would result in far less issues for the people. How @Galadion chose to react though would still effect her actions and choice to keep offering help, or to simply strike him down.

  8. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he looked at the female before him, there was no point in arguing who was willing to allow the village to be destroyed as it was clear that neither one of them truly wanted any harm to come to the village or its occupants. The last thing that he had ever wanted to be compared to was a politician but it seems that the female was right, that was indeed exactly what he was acting like at the moment. Maybe he could have kept trying to lead her away but he hadn't, he had stopped and if he was being entirely honest with himself at least he wasn't sure why he stopped.

As he stood there Galadion watched the female closely, it was easy to pick up from her body language that he wasn't happy with being there but to be fair she had no one to blame but herself for their current situation. Another thing that was very clear to him was that she had a deep distaste for nobles of any kind, even the self proclaimed ones such as himself. He listened carefully as she explained to him the situation with the demons to the north, something the he had heard stories about but had never witnessed himself.

Walking over a soft distance Galadion allowed himself to sink to the ground next to a fence post and leaned up against it as he reached up and ran his fingers through his long silvery white hair. He seemed to be lost deep in thought about the demonic forces that she had mentioned, if someone who was as obviously powerful as she was had trouble with a small demonic party then she was right, the common folk would stand absolutely no chance against their forces. Tilting his head back he stared up at the bright blue sky so far up above them "It can't be a hopeless endeavor, there has to be a way to bring the Yladian people home"

As he sat there he tore his gaze away from the heavens and re-fixed it upon the female that he was conversing with, what was her goal, what exactly did she get out of this? She had made it clear that if he chose a course of action that she did not approve of then she would slay him, he wasn't exactly sure where she got of thinking she had the right to decide if his course of actions were just and could be pursued or not but he didn't argue that fact with her either. His thought turned towards ways to make this endeavor become a reality, perhaps a specially trained force of fighters specially designed to deal with the demonic forces, no that wouldn't work there would be no way that such a small group would be able to defend against a large attacking force should it come to that.

Maybe the female was right, maybe it was hopeless and he had just been wasting his time and making a fool of himself but he refused to give into despair so easily. "There has to be a way to protect these people from the demons, they are the biggest threat to them. The neighboring countries can be dealt with through a variety of different means, not least of all political arrangements but demons, demons can't be reasoned with" Galadion had finally stopped just rushing into things, he was now beginning to take his time and think about it because of her.

  9. "The one of few possible ways the people could return, is dealing first with the hostility towards the Yladain race. If we can bridge that gap and get the aid of those around us there is a very low chance we could break the Demon's line and at the least take back one of the closer cities... It was designed in the event of a siege but the people could not fight to hold it long."

_____Kaede reached into her sleeve before tossing a blueprint over to the male. It was not exactly the best drawn design but it was clear the area could help lessen the danger people would face if it could be reclaimed. Higher walls, decent mountain surroundings with a clearing around the castle's outer wall as to give them chance to see approaching threats. It was a perfect first foothold, but at the time none of the people could fight another battle even with such an advantage location.

"The only other issue is I can not reach the location to check if it is still in tact enough to be used as a stronghold to slowly try and weaken the demon forces. The mountains around it make it hard to travel, and the amount of demons roaming the area on ground and air make it that much harder. I have a friend making a tunnel with Geomancy but they can only work so fast and without knowing what we would be digging into..."

_____Kaede clearly, despite her hostile first approach was now in agreement that they needed to think this over. She did not know enough of the demons to form a solid plan, and while she did know two or three of them they barely gave her much to go on or still to this day refuse to help even though they agree to side with Kaede. Reaching her hand out as to request her map be returned before she moved to stash it back in her sleeve.

"Also, just because they are demons does not mean they can not be reasoned with. I have personally spoke with a number of them, and of that number three spoke back and well... very much reasonable and compliant to demands of the victory for the battle.~"

_____Kaede smiled happily as she moved her hand to lick her fingers as she seemed to recall something that was best left to try and think about rather then say. Though from her previous comment about the queen it was slightly more clear what or rather way Kaede would lick her fingers and smile happily as she recalled the past. Coughing lightly she did her best to return to reality and look at the male to see what his next thought was.

  10. Galadion continued to sit there for a few more seconds before with a small grunt of effort he rose to his feet, he listened as she offered a suggestion on how his plan to restore Yladia to its former glory might not be completely hopeless. Getting the other races to change the way that they viewed the Yladian elves would probably prove to be a greater challenge that pushing back the demonic forces would be, even in the real world no one wanted hundreds or thousands of refugees in their country and that is what the Yladians were...refugees. When the female offered him a piece of paper he reached out and took it, opening it up he looked at the drawing on the inside it was the blueprint for what looked like a city or a stronghold.

From what he could make out based on the blueprint that he was looking at, the stronghold had a natural fortification from the mountain range that it was in. It had high walls for protection from a land based forced and the high ground so they could see a threat approaching long before it actually got there giving them time to prepare. On paper it looked like it would be the perfect staging point from which to start pushing back the demons and begin the restoration of Yladia however things were never the way they seemed on paper.

If this stronghold was as perfect as it seemed he wondered why no one else was attempting to do the very same thing that he was trying to accomplish. And when he listened to the females next words he got his answer, the stronghold was extremely difficult to reach, its natural mountain fortification seemed it made it very difficult to reach while travelling on foot. And as she pointed the demonic forces roamed the Yladian country side unchecked and unchallenged which proved another problem all together.

He listened as she spoke about a friend of hers that was using Geomancy to create a tunnel under the mountain to reach the stronghold, but that could take years to accomplish. The Yladian race lived for a couple hundred of years on average according to the information provided by the Terrasphere and since Terrasphere used real time the player behind the character didn't have that kind of time and he wanted to see the Yladians return to their home or at least make progress on that front during his time within this game. It was a massive undertaking he knew but if no one ever put forth the effort, made it their top priority then it would never be accomplished.

His eyes widened slightly when she spoke of how the demons could actually be reasoned with, he just assumed that since they were demons that they would be evil just for the sake of being evil like demons in every other game. But it would appear here that even the morality of demons varied from demon to demon which was highly uncommon and very interesting but that was a thought for another day. "What if someone assembled a small team, each capable fighters to try and sneak past the demons and take the stronghold shown on that map. Could you supply me with the coordinates for this place?"
