Something pushed against his motion. Bored at the back of his skull and pushed doubt inside. Go away. Go away. Go away, they say- the voices that he imagined for the force pushing on him. Pushing as hard as his eye pushed on his innards.

Haru stops cold in shock before looking down. Ah... what was happening to him? The eye in his chest pounded against his ribcage, trying to squirm and grow. What did it want now? He had never felt this thing ever desire anything before, so this situation was new. One thing was clear, though- it wanted out.

He felt sorry for it, stuck in his chest like that. If there was only one thing that Haru cared about anymore, it was freedom. It wanted out, so he would let it out. He liked the little guy, anyway, deep down.
So he plunges his fingers into his chest and pulls the 'eyelids' open. The thing was already staring straight up at him when it was freed.

"Yo! Did you want to see how pretty the cavern is, too? That's cool. Let's get walking again, ok?" He placates the monster in his chest. He had lagged behind a little bit letting this thing free, but he felt good for doing it. Now it's heartbeat went in tandem with his own instead of pounding erratically. They were whole.

And so the four continued on like that. Before long four became three, and three became two. The cavern grew awfully silent, and as his fear grew, so too did his appreciation of this place. It was beautiful. And yet, knowing full well how much he enjoyed exploring new places, the voice told his very being to leave.

But Haru wouldn't give into pressure. No matter how much this wall in front of him pushed at him he would not turn his back. Haru would walk forward forever, even if he had lost his will to do so. Even if he had lost the mind to do so. As long as his body existed, he would go... because that was the cool thing to do.

Of course, his body had to give out sometime. Ripping one's chest open has this side-effect called 'blood loss' that he hadn't really thought of when he had started. Perhaps he had been influenced-ever since he had felt the eye pounding in his chest-to act illogically? Fascinating.

Haru impacts the ground face-first and groans. After his legs gave out, he began to crawl with his arms. After those stopped, he kept going with his hands. After that he went a few centimeters further with his teeth. And then...

He could feel it. Were he to try and go any direction but forward, his body would allow him to. But he could not move forward anymore. He was literally unable to move a single inch further forward by his own will.
And he chuckles. What, was that supposed to stop him? After all, the cavern had missed two vital problems.

There were two Witch Ops members in the same cave at the same time, and a Witch Ops member never left another behind. Turning his head, Haru grins cheekily over to Iván. "Ha, ha ha... Hey, Bound Prince, do you think you could Guide me a bit further? I'm very curious about what's past the finish line."
The wizard of white shamelessly drops himself on the wizard of green.

Iván didn't mind this whole journey at first. He knew at least one of these people and there was art, so everything seemed A-okay for him. It wasn't like he had anything better to do that day, anyway, like keep a certain Curry House afloat or make sure his lover wasn't being all emo all on her own again. Both of those things could wait. There was adventure to be had, a deep dark cave to get lost in, and a familiar face to recognize. Hopefully. Was this guy really @Haru? Or was it just Bradwynne out of hair color?

Soon enough, things went a little less A-okay for Iván. As they kept going, he felt more and more...disturbed. Paranoia was setting in on him. Were they being watched? By whom? He was starting to have problems with his breathing, too, as if the air around them was suddenly thick. Too thick to breathe in, too thick to move through, too thick to see anything, really. Iván felt like he needed to exert more effort to get to where they needed to be, feeling more tired, drained, by each step. But where exactly did they need to be?

What did you get us into, Brad? Iván could no longer hide the fact that he was not feeling well. Something was going to happen to them. Something bad. Something terrible. Swallowing air was even more difficult now. Purple god, please... Absolver... Don't let me die here. I need to get back. Someone's waiting for me...

Someone... Waiting for him? Iván pushed on. He knew he had to. Someone was waiting for him. He couldn't let them lose him. Not again. He watched as the Felis (@Sean Poteitoku) turned back. He saw the King of Yladia (@Galadion) do the same. If he was thinking straight, if his brain wasn't getting strangled by the thick air, he probably would've done the same. But aside from someone waiting for him in his head, he also found someone else on his head. Haru had fallen over him, draped across his back, and even though Iván was already having the most difficult field trip of his life, someone was waiting for him and he couldn't just give up right then and there.

    Purple god dang it, Guide!

  1. And they continued. Further and further down the tunnel the two went together without end. Haru couldn't bear to try and move anymore soon enough- even backwards. He was stuck along for the ride but he didn't mind it. After he had come back to his relative senses, he could tell that he was draped around the back of someone he could really trust.

If only the walk wasn't so maddening. Faint whispers echoed from his throat again and again. They all said the same thing.
"I can't move. I can't move. I can't move..!" He let so many emotions through those three words because he had no other way to express himself right now. Haru was scared. He was desperate. More than these both, though, they held resignation. It was just like that time when he woke up in the white bed all those years ago.

And eventually, through all of that, they reached the end of the tunnel and saw what it had led to. They looked at it once for a very, very long time to engrave the sight into their minds. And after that, they left.

The two friends climbed right back out of the pit and went home.
