  1. Cyriac rattled the blade in its sheath, hoping that the cold won't make it stick. He wasn't the type to haul rocks around, so instead he was working alongside the foremen, carrying orders, bundles of rope, pulleys, latches, and other varied miscellany. But his real job was glaring down any troublemakers - a clear notice was put out from him: anyone starts trouble, he'd be the one to end it.

"Just hope the pay is good...", he panted, after having run a fourth set of items to the necessary location, as he leaned against a post to catch his breath.

  2. Marcus whipped the sweat from his brow as he placed another stone upon the mortar he had just laid. Quickly he scrapped the excess that bled from the sides with his trowel, smoothing it out with his trowel. It had been awhile since he had done manual labor such as this, but the hard work he found oddly refreshing; it was almost satisfying.

'I need some more mortar and stone here!' Marcus barked at the foreman as he took the last bit of soft mortar and began to spread it about. There was still much more work to be done.

  3. The Faerin reached the construction site, stretching his arms and legs as he prepared to help out in the heavy work. He looked up at Ghast, his loyal shield, giving a small smirk. "We helped out to dig a huge river and to build an aqueduct! Building a bridge will be a piece of cake!" The thumbed up at his buddy, that stared back at him and nodded with one of it's tentacle.

After getting pumped up, Hanno charged to lift boulders out of the construction way. Also breaking some boulders that were too big to carry around.

  4. "This is manual labor. This sucks."

Madison continued to shuffle up her deck of cards, preparing herself for another hearty demonstration of why Nature Magic is the Best Magic. The cards began to glow as thick vines wrapped themselves around the bridge's support beams, bracing them even further so they could support more weight.

"How did I get roped into this in the first place?"

Did she lose a bet? Was it blackmail? A guilt trip?

"Y'all owe me big time once this is over."

  5. Of all the things that Mizuki had been expecting herself to be doing, helping build a bridge wasn't one of them. But here she was, carrying around the heavy materials that the actual builders would need. While she didn't have Heroic Might she still had mastered Martial Arts, which gave her enough physical ability to help do some of the heavy lifting.

Although she hoped that she wouldn't spend all day doing this.

  6. Come on, show off those muscles~!

Vina wasn't really suited for heavy physical labour, but what she was good at was supporting people in various ways. Right now she was cheering on the builders, using magic to boost their strength and dexterity while simultaneously boosting their mood and mind with her words. Affecting a bunch of people at the same time was always tricky, but people always appreciated a pretty girl cheering them on, right?

  7. Nyx

    Nyx

Nyx chuckled as she sat watching others work. Mostly spending the time arguing with the voice in her head about why they had not already started attacking people. It was just a simply thing, they had some scary strong ones here and Nyx was not in the mood to be chopped up herself. Sure she could see blood for a few moments but not worth it as she swung her legs in the air and kept watch. Calmly from her perch atop a partly finished section.

  8. "Oh, you need some help building a bridge? Seems like this could be fun! I don't mind to lend a hand or two." Noah wasn't built in a manner to lift heavy objects, but Greyhowl could help cart some of the supplies with Noah's aid. He would get a harness of sorts on the wolf and use it to carry bricks and other things towards the builders up ahead. Hopefully they would be able to help out a bit.

  9. Ash was running low on charms, and the bridge was rather thoroughly haunted by now (in a good way, hopefully). It meant he had time to sit idle, and that meant getting dragged into tasks like heavy lifting. Why did people keep associating height with strength, anyway...?

Ugh, and it was sacks of mortar, too. At least rocks didn't try to slide out of your arms like a disgruntled cat...

  10. Marcus stood there, bewildered at the sight of his hard work haven fallen apart so easily. 'Jesus,' He muttered angrily under his breath as he stared down the ruined section that he built. But there was no sense in complaining. He stuck his trowel into the ground and began the tedious task of reconsolidating the stone. With a dogged determination to see this done, Marcus set back to work. Rather than attempting to complete the task in record time, he began laying mortar a bit more deliberately and methodically. Perhaps that's why his initial attempt had failed so horribly. Maybe he just needed to slow down.

  11. Bridge building, eh? Ah, so that was what was going on. She had heard other players gabbing about the big event, and even seen the small crowd, but Magdalyn had had no idea what was actually happening. Therefore, it was pure curiosity that drew her to the edge of the canyon. And it was her heart of gold that kept here there, willing to break her back (figuratively, and probably literally), to help steer the construction project to its completion. "Here we go," she said to no one in particular, cracking her knuckles gleefully.

  12. After throwing the huge boulders away, several fragments and great amounts of gravel remained on the ground. Considering the bridge would need a much more assertive and compact surface to support it's heavy and big structure, the Faerin held his shield and began removing all the gravel, dirt and rock fragments that were making the ground become too soft, using his Gargantuan Shield like it was some sort of giant shovel.

"Does that bring you memories, Ghast?" Hanno grinned, making the Shield frown in frustration and give a small slap at his head with a tentacle. "Gwah!"

  13. Madison wiped the sweat from her brow in between binding the bridge's supports with her vines. As she stretched her arms over her head to try and work out the kinks in her shoulders, she noticed a couple lazy-ass workers taking a quick break.

    This simply will not do!

Maddy snapped her fingers, and a pair of long vines grew up from the floor behind them. With a wave of her hand, they violently whipped the behinds of the workers, scaring the crap out of them.

"Come on! Let's go," she screamed, clapping her hands as she bossed them around. "Try harder! Do better!"

  14. "So, we're building a bridge, are we?" Sean chuckled. "Of course I'll help!" He grabbed some materials and began tossing them to those currently in line for more. If you get the materials to the builders faster, they can build faster, meaning more progress! He chuckled at his seemingly flawless logic.

  15. It wasn't obvious that Specter was excited, despite his tail flickering now and again as he made his way to the site. Heaving a heavy back toward the group of builders, he gave them a grin. "I heard we're building a bridge" Specter said, dropping his bag of ore on the ground. "Take as much as you need, inform me if you need more." he explained, pulling his hair into a messy ponytail.
