  1. They were making good progress, Mizuki grinning as she watches the bridge come together so quickly. With so many people helping out it wasn't that big a surprise that it'd go fast, but she still hadn't expected quite this speed.

As for herself she was done checking for woodworm, and instead was helping hammer things into place by punching them. She didn't need a hammer or act carefully in fear of hitting her own fingers, so it was pretty fast.

  2. With things progressing as quickly as they were it looked like they'd be able to set foot on the other side pretty soon. However even with the bridge quickly growing there were still threats afoot, and Vina had to abandon her task of healing minor injuries to instead try and keep the weather under control, as sudden gusts of wind could mess up any builders day while they were working in a location high up.

  3. Marcus downed the glass of lemonade as quickly as he could, thanking the woman who handed it to him before setting back to work. With his section holding firm (gods be praised) he turned to help the others by hauling building materials to a fro, where ever they where needed. Clearly he was a better pack mule than he was a sculptor. The thought crossed his mind to try to solidify the bonding mortar with flame, but dismissed the notion as a waste of time.

'Let me know what you need, I'll run it to you asap,' Marcus said quickly as he dropped off a heavy load of stone in the grass next to one of the builders.

  4. It was like they were building Rome in a day, well... A bridge to Rome in a day. It was a lot faster than any real life construction site. "We're almost done! Once were done, a round of pints on that guy" Specter announced, pointing at a random foremen.

  5. Madison's ears perked up. Did someone just mention beer?

She liked beer. Beer was a good motivator. Seemed like she wasn't alone, either.

"Let's get going! I'm thirsty!" The dark druid clapped her hands with authority and mustered up a cloud of pollen that, when inhaled, would stimulate those around her and help them work harder, better, faster, stronger.

Yeah, just like that old song by those guys with the helmets.

    No escape

Amidst smelly workers, an intense heat and a lot of guts and effort from everyone working on the bridge, the wheel of fate turned. Beyond these adventurers’ grasp lies the metaphysical knowledge of cause and effect that has changed the inner workings of time and space to an unfortunate and lamentable result. It all began with the effort of one among many faces in the crowd (@Libitina Cerin) that worked hard on carrying several logs. Unfortunately, one of the logs the girl carried happened to slip from her grasp and rolled down towards the builders. Of course, it still fell on her toes first, which would likely lead to very hurtful and sad little toes.

Before @Madison Freebird could help the builder with her healing leaves, the man stepped on the rolling log and fell over the plague druid. Babysitting people who couldn’t even hammer a nail aside, she now had to deal with a bulky and sweaty man over body that dwarfed her frame.

Greenery and dust in the wind, the product of nature magic flew between every single worker, materials and obstacles on the way, until the leaves reached the area where @Yukisa worked along with other builders. The white haired young man tried his best to hammer down a nail, though to no avail. Perhaps it was because of the tiny and unseen dissonant goop on his hammer. It was as if the world intended to get in his way…

    It was just a leaf.

What purpose could lurk within its green pigment other than healing?

Although some may have used it to heal

Others used it as nothing but food

A singular leaf rested on top of the nail, before it was too late to stop the hammer. Dissonance and magic combined, and the black goop extended to Yukisa’s hand, sapping him of his Energy. The wheels of fate turned once more, and the foul creature could set its plan in motion with the help of the adventurer’s aeromancy.

In an instant, everything turned black.

Before anyone in the bridge could react, a black fog had consumed the entire bridge construction area. A cloud so dark no shining light could penetrate it. The throat burning effect of a disgusting substance in the air, and the cries of nasal agony all across the bridge… Could it be that they just summoned an ancient evil and triggered a hidden World Boss!?

...Truth be told, they just were unfortunate enough to set up a huge fart bomb by pure coincidence. Sucks, don't you think? Perhaps you could try to run, to distance yourself from the awful stench, but considering the size of the gigantic bridge it was very unlikely — no escape. It appeared the woes of great constructions impacted even this world full of wonderful blessings.

But please, let us be optimists! Breathe faster, roll faster and end your suffering faster!

  7. 'Really now?' Hanno coughed at the horrible fog, "Was that really necessary?! Who the hell farted this hard?!" The Faerin frowned while slamming the ground, trying to harden it even more. The insufferable smell was disgusting, but the bridge was the priority right now.

After finally making sure the ground was resistent enough to hold the bridge structural support, the Faerin began carrying stones to the bridge's structure. 'This is so freaking heaaavy' Sweat drops covered his forehead with the amount of effort he was doing.

  8. Mahiru watched the situation unfold. A great stench filled the bridge with seemingly no escape. Easy, I know how to get away. She walked to a tree and climbed up to it. Hah, now it can't reach me! She slightly chuckled and watched as the construction neared it's end.

  9. Aurora blinked as she looked around to see absolutely nothing but darkness and then it hit her.

The awful smell that entered her nostrils was too much to bare. It was worse than the time her roommate decided to cook, and that is saying a lot. She pinched her nose but couldn't hold her breath for long and no way was she going to start breathing with her mouth. 'We need to finish this. And fast .I should start by healing the workers' she thought as she got to work to heal whoever got injured

  10. "ALRIGHT, PEOPLE! SEIGI IS HERE. Guts. And. Effort." The justice girl said. A bridge needed to build and, clearly, Seigi would help!

Not much of a builder things needed to be carried! Heck, maybe there were even some trees the Heroic Might girl could just rip out! Either way, grabbing a bunch, A LOT, of logs/planks, Seigi picked some burly looked individuals out.

"Here, catch!" Before throwing the stuff! Sure, doing that once was just... silly. But if the girl started to be a resource dispenser and 'saved' a few meters of walk, clearly some time could be saved that way!

  11. Iván stared daggers at @Seigi. She did arrive at around the same time the fart happened. Or maybe it was @Hanno Futaba. He who smelt it dealt it, after all. Whatever. This was not the worst that Iván’s nose has experienced. After all, he was known for his own signature stink, that combination of blood and sulphur, the ant juice’s contribution, all made him somewhat infamous in Stokbon and beyond as Stinky Iván. Some of these weak-nosed dudes should be glad he wasn’t even wearing his mask today, completely focused on the building, the tinkering.

  12. She knew it. Something was bound to happen whenever a group this large, of people as weird as they were gathering. Luckily it seemed to be fairly harmless, on its own. There was a possibility of accidents from the horrendous smell. The fog's stench awful, but that was certainly better than it melting your skin off or turning you into a zombie. It wouldn't even be that hard of an issue to fix thankfully. Grabbing her tinkering kit, Ceres managed to make makeshift mask for herself then started to hand out handkerchiefs to block out the smell. Hopefully that would let the bridge build faster so she had an excuse to dip out.

  13. "What the seven heavens is this smell? Is Iván here? This ought to be his smell!" She shouted, oblivious to what happened as Corvella was really busy throwing nails deep into wooden pillars. Thanks to her (or not), the construction of the bridge has sped up significantly. She looked around to find whoever's causing this deadly stench, hoping to bury a nail deep on their forehead.

  14. Aalam held down the vomit that was trying to get out of his stomach taking a large gulp and then chasing it down with a large swig of ale. Ripping off a piece of cloth from his shirt soaking it in ale and wrapping it around. There was still some stone that needed to be moved and work that needed to be done.

After a few days of intense, albeit efficient construction, the massive bridge stretching across the canyon was finally completed. Even though the core work was done, the bridge builders who were present went the extra mile and gave the bridge a polished work, making sure it looked presentable as it could be.

Once all construction wrapped up, Ciri asked a number of eateries in Astorea to deliver a bunch of food and drinks, which she distributed to everyone who helped complete the project. A grand party was had to celebrate the bridge's completion.

Thank you so much for your help, everyone. Astorea is now fully connected to the west! Finally, we can explore the rest of the world beyond this border.

Let us celebrate our achievement with food and drinks!

OOC: This thread is now ending, feel free to leave in the next post or not post at all. Good job on the hard work!
